A Critical Prayer Request
A Critical Prayer Request:
Asking God to bring us the "silver bullet" that will eradicate the virus
Dear Friends,
In sharing with one of my prayer partners this morning, it became clear that GOD is asking US to ask HIM to bring forth the "silver bullet" that will end this pandemic.
Only He knows what that answer will look like, but we know that our Abba Father God is the Omniscient One Who makes all things possible.
We also know that, it is written, "Ye have not, because ye ask not."
So . . . let us pray:
"Father God, in Your Mighty Name, we ask You for the answer to this virus. Lord God, we ask You to call forth the answer that will deliver Your people from this affliction, and set the captives free again.
Holy God, we thank You that a vaccine already exists that WILL accomplish this task! We call it forth NOW, in Your name, amen."
Verses to Decree:
"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." (Mark 11:24)
"So I tell you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." (Luke 11:9)
"If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." (John 15:7)

1. Mossad officer describes covert global battle to obtain ventilators at all costs- Times of Israel
Spy agencies around the world, which normally deal with national security, terrorism and international crime, have shifted during the coronavirus pandemic to using their expertise to lay their hands on medical equipment that has become invaluable, a senior Mossad officer has said.
In an exposé broadcast Tuesday by Channel 12's "Uvda" investigative news program, the head of the technology department in Israel's Mossad intelligence service said countries have been locked in a fierce, covert battle to take control of a limited supply of ventilators at all costs.
Mossad, which has been tasked with securing medical equipment from abroad from unspecified countries amid worldwide shortages, has helped obtain 25,000 N95 respiratory masks, 20,000 virus test kits, 10 million surgical masks, and 700 overalls for ambulance workers who usually carry out the initial testing for the virus.
2. US Embassy in Jerusalem sends some diplomats home over virus fears - Times of Israel
Several US diplomats and family members stationed in Israel have returned home out of concern over the spreading coronavirus.
"Out of consideration for the health and safety of State Department employees and family members worldwide, Secretary [of State Mike] Pompeo approved authorized departure from any diplomatic or consular post for US employees or their family members that are deemed at higher risk of a poor outcome if exposed to COVID-19," an official at the American Embassy in Jerusalem told The Times of Israel on Wednesday, speaking on condition of anonymity.
"I can confirm that some Embassy Jerusalem employees and family members have returned to the US under this new policy."
3. For first time ever, more than a million Israelis are unemployed - Times of Israel
Israel on Wednesday registered more than a million jobless citizens for the first time in its existence, as the coronavirus pandemic was putting more and more workplaces out of business.
The National Employment Service said that the number of unemployed stood at 1,004,316, with 35,668 new people registering for its services on Tuesday - the highest daily figure since last Thursday.
Almost a quarter of Israel's workforce - 24.1 percent - is now jobless, including some 160,000 people who had been unemployed before the crisis.
4. HMO Head: 35% of Bnei Brak's 200,000 Residents Have Contracted the Coronavirus - Jewish Press
Maccabi Health Services CEO Prof. Ran Sa'ar on Thursday morning told the Knesset coronavirus committee about the situation in Bnei Brak, saying "Maccabi treats half of the residents of Bnei Brak, and according to various indications, about 38% of the residents of Bnei Brak are sick, which comes to 75,000 people. I'm calling from here on all the relevant authorities to post police officers there ahead of Passover eve, otherwise the situation there will worsen." "Bnei Brak is a city with an unusually high percentage of adults in the population, and if we do not prepare, we'll find ourselves with a lot of dead people in Bnei Brak," Prof. Sa'ar warned.
Committee Chairman MK Ofer Shalah (Yesh Atid-Telem)responded: "The estimate that 75,000 coronavirus patients are expected in Bnei Brak is a cause for alarm and requires immediate action. According to reports from the HMOs, the Haredi public is reluctant to be tested before Passover, and decisions about them at the government level are deficient and influenced by political considerations. The prime minister must shirk any outside considerations and take immediate, massive and focused action to deal with Bnei Brak."
5. Negotiations stalled, Gantz threatens - Israel National News
The Blue and White Party is threatening to advance legislation that would prevent an MK who is under indictment from forming a government as negotiations on the formation of a unity government stall.
Officials within Benny Gantz's party feel that Prime Minister Netanyahu is deliberately delaying coalition negotiations and that he would prefer to have Gantz's mandate to form the government expire so he can receive the mandate instead.
Channel 12 News reported significant difficulties in the coalition negotiations. The Likud is demanding that the government be able to apply sovereignty within the next six months, but Blue and White is insisting that only a debate on the issue take place in the next six months.
Likud officials said: "It doesn't make sense since within six months the window of opportunity for sovereignty will close. We will not establish a left-wing government."

1. Rick Perry warns US energy sector on verge of 'massive collapse' due to coronavirus pandemic-Fox News
Former Energy Secretary Rick Perry warned Tuesday on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" that the coronavirus pandemic has brought the United States' once-thriving oil and energy sector to the verge of a "massive collapse."
Sweeping restrictions on work and travel have brought industrial activity to a near- standstill. Perry explained that fewer cars on the road and fewer flights in the air translate to a major decrease in demand for oil, which is bad news for America's energy producers.
"Our capacity is full and the Saudis are flooding this market with cheap oil," Perry told host Tucker Carlson. "I'm telling you, we are on the verge of a massive collapse of an industry that we worked awfully hard over the course of the last three or four years to build up to the number one oil and gas producing country in the world, giving Americans some affordable energy resources. (Read more)
- Father God, we praise You and thank You that America has been energy independent for the last three years. We come against this attack on America's independence and oil production in the name of Jesus. We bind all principalities and powers that seek to destroy our economy and oil production in Jesus name.
- "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12)
2. Bill Gates calls for nationwide shutdown: 'Shutdown anywhere means shutdown everywhere'-The Hill
Microsoft founder and billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates called for a nationwide shutdown on Tuesday, arguing it would be the most effective way to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
Gates wrote in a Washington Post op-ed that he has spoken with experts through his work with his charity who said a national policy would be more effective over having a hodgepodge of states issue stay-at-home orders while others remain more open. He argued that the country needs a "consistent nationwide approach to shutting down."
"Despite urging from public health experts, some states and counties haven't shut down completely. In some states, beaches are still open; in others, restaurants still serve sit-down meals," Gates wrote. (Read more)
- Father God, we rebuke this statement in Jesus name. We declare that America will not need to be shut down any further. We pray instead that America will open up soon! And that people get back to work and that all that was lost during this time would be restored in your name Jesus. Amen
- "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
3. Coronavirus Could Be the 'Biggest Crisis' Modern Jerusalem Has Ever Faced-CBN News
Far from its position as the center of the world, Jerusalem is actually the poorest city in Israel. It's also the largest and possibly the most complex, said Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Fleur Hassan-Nahoum. That also means that it could be the hardest hit economically by the fallout from the coronavirus.
"Jerusalem is always a city that's been hit. We were hit by intifadahs (terrorism) and we were hit by snow," Hassan-Nahoum said. "We know how to deal with difficult situations. I think that nobody could have really predicted this. And I think this is going to be the biggest crisis that the modern city of Jerusalem has ever faced."
That's because of the economic fallout due to the fact that Jerusalem is the Israeli city most reliant on tourism, Hassan-Nahoum said during a phone briefing organized by Media Central.(Read more)
- Father God, we lift up the city of Jerusalem to You, that the people would seek your face during this trying time. We also pray for all the Christian charitable organizations that are helping the people of Jerusalem, that you would bless them and lead and guide them.
-"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!"(Psalm 122:6)
4. MyPillow CEO tells Americans to pray and read the Bible during appearance at White House coronavirus briefing-CBS News
The CEO of MyPillow - one of a group of business figures invited to meet with President Trump - took a moment during his appearance at Monday's White House coronavirus press briefing to read something he said he wrote "off the cuff." He said that God had graced the country with President Trump - and that Americans should be reading the Bible during their coronavirus quarantine.
"God gave us grace on November 8, 2016, to change the course we were on," Mike Lindell said from the Rose Garden podium. "God had been taken out of our schools and lives. A nation had turned its back on God. I encourage you to use this time at home to get back in the Word, read our Bibles and spend time with our families." (Read more)
- Thank you father God for godly wisdom being spoken to the American people on such a huge platform for all to see and hear. We agree with what was said by Mike Lindell ,and pray that those who don't know You will turn to You during this time, and that your people would dig deeper in your word and go to a new level knowing You.
- "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." (James 4:8)
5. Coronavirus could kill 16,000 New Yorkers as cases cross 83,000: Cuomo-New York Post
Sixteen thousand New Yorkers could die of the coronavirus before the contagion runs its course, according to a projection cited Wednesday by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, as statewide deaths from COVID-19 rose to 1,941.
That unthinkable figure is based on a projection by the Gates Foundation - and may actually be conservative, as it projects only 93,000 deaths nationwide, as opposed to the six-figure tallies forecast by the White House.
"That would mean that New York is only 16 percent roughly of the number of deaths," said Cuomo. "I don't even understand that, since New York is so much higher right now. (Read more)
- Father God, we come against this prediction and this confession in Jesus name. We declare that the deaths and the cases would be reduced in New York City and all across America, and that this virus will come to an end in Jesus name!
- "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." (2 Corinthians 10:5)
6. China Concealed Extent of Virus Outbreak, U.S. Intelligence Says-Bloomberg
China has concealed the extent of the coronavirus outbreak in its country, under-reporting both total cases and deaths it's suffered from the disease, the U.S. intelligence community concluded in a classified report to the White House, according to three U.S. officials.
The officials asked not to be identified because the report is secret, and they declined to detail its contents. But the thrust, they said, is that China's public reporting on cases and deaths is intentionally incomplete. Two of the officials said the report concludes that China's numbers are fake. The report was received by the White House last week, one of the officials said. (Read more)
- Father God, we ask that You would expose the lies being told, and the misinformation being pushed about this virus all over the world. We ask that You would flood the hearts of the people of the world with light that the truth may be revealed.
- "You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me," declares the LORD." (Jeremiah 9:6)
7. Biden: States Should Prepare for Remote Voting in 2020 Elections-Breitbart
During an interview aired on Tuesday's broadcast of MSNBC's "11th Hour," 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden called on secretaries of state to plan for having remote voting in the 2020 elections.
Biden said, "[T]here would be no rationale for eliminating or delaying the election. It may be virtual."
Host Brian Williams then asked, "God forbid we're still dealing with this in November. God forbid we're dealing with some kind of a regional or climate rebound of this in November. Do you think it's incumbent upon the secretaries of state in all 5o states to ensure this is the one election with secure, remote voting possibility?"
Biden responded, "Yes. I think they should be doing that now. I think they should be doing that now, planning on it." (Read more)
- Father God ,in the name of Jesus we come against all efforts to steal the 2020 presidential election by ballot harvesting, drive in voting, and virtual voting in the name of Jesus. We declare a clean election will take place. We declare this virus will be dead and gone by then. And we declare that the right person will be voted in as president and we bind all efforts to steal kill and destroy the election in 2020!
- "Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked ruler over a poor people." ( Proverbs 28:15)
8. Trump warns Iran of 'very heavy price' if there's 'sneak attack' on US forces in Iraq-The Hill
President Trump on Wednesday warned Iran and its proxies against carrying out what he alleged is a planned "sneak attack" on U.S. troops in Iraq.
"Upon information and belief, Iran or its proxies are planning a sneak attack on U.S. troops and/or assets in Iraq. If this happens, Iran will pay a very heavy price, indeed!" Trump tweeted.
It was not immediately clear what information Trump was referring to and what the alleged sneak attack would entail. Trump was slated to receive an intelligence briefing at noon, according to his daily schedule. (Read more)
- In the name of Jesus we come against all schemes and thoughts to attack America during this vulnerable time. We bind all evil schemes and break their powers, that they will not come to fruition in Jesus name.
- "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn." (Isaiah 54:17)
9. Trump announces enhanced narcotic operations amid coronavirus, deploys destroyers and Air Force assets-Fox News
President Trump -- flanked by Attorney General Bill Barr, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and top military officials at the White House coronavirus briefing -- announced on Wednesday a massive new "counternarcotics operation" in the Eastern Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea to "combat the flow of illicit drugs into the United States."
"We must not let the drug cartels exploit the pandemic to threaten American lives," Trump said. "In cooperation with the 22 partner nations, U.S. Southern Command will increase surveillance, disruption and seizures of drug shipments and provide additional support for eradication efforts, which are going on right now at a record pace."
Included in the force package are Navy destroyers, other combat ships, Air Force surveillance planes and helicopters, and ten Coast Guard cutter ships, Trump said, noting that the new forces would double U.S. interdiction capacity in the region -- and help slow the spread of the coronavirus by reducing illicit travel. (Read more)
- Thank you father God for giving the Trump administration this insight, and for the quick response in securing America's borders to keep Americans safe during this time. Amen.
- "But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one."(2 Thessalonians 3:3)
10. Here are the 19 US states that are in the best fiscal position for a recession-Business Insider
It seems a recession is drawing near due to the novel coronavirus and the drastic measures taken to slow the spread of the new disease. Some states might be more prepared to handle the financial burden than others. Many businesses have had to temporarily close or lay off workers. A record-shattering 3.3 million Americans filed for unemployment benefits in the week ending on March 21 according to a new report by the US Department of Labor. Different industries are already taking a hit as people cancel flights and are told to stay at home.
To get a sense of which states are most ready for hard economic times, we used state government finance data from the US Census Bureau for the 2018 fiscal year, the most recent available. We ranked the states based on the difference between government holdings of liquid assets (specifically, cash and securities) and total government debt at the end of the fiscal year, adjusted by 2018 estimated state populations. (Read more)
- Father God, we repent on behalf of Journalists and other professional officials declaring that there will be a recession in America. We plead the blood of Jesus over those words and we cancel them, and call them null and void in the name of Jesus. We know God that You are the God of restoration and that you will restore what the enemy has stolen from this land, and from the entire world. We give You praise and honor for being our provider in Jesus name amen.
-"Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours." (Isaiah 61:7)

"Some 50 major American firms have joined the national war on the coronavirus, many volunteering to shift their focus and even assembly lines to deliver needed supplies to doctors, hospitals, first responders and others on the front lines," Paul Bedard reports for the Washington Examiner.
"Most said that they answered President Trump's call for help," Bedard writes. The companies that have enlisted include Facebook, Anheuser-Busch, Ford, Fiat Chrysler, and many others. "Other national and local groups have also brought in corporate partners to help find masks, gowns, and other personal protective equipment." (Read more)

3. Birx Clears The Air: Governments Were Slow To Respond To Coronavirus 'Because' China Covered It Up- Daily Caller
White House coronavirus task force member Dr. Deborah Birx said the slow coronavirus response from global governments came because China's public data on the virus was inaccurate. "The medical community interpreted the Chinese data as, this was serious, but smaller," she said. "Because, I think, probably we were missing a significant amount of the data."
Birx's statement comes the amid confirmation that China hasn't been counting asymptomatic infections of the coronavirus in its public numbers. China initially suppressed all news of the disease when it originated in Wuhan, until a whistleblowing doctor took action.
A March 11 study found that if China had taken action on the virus three weeks sooner, the number of cases across the globe would be 95 percent lower. (Read more)
4. Trump to meet with oil industry CEOs amid price drop - The Hill
President Trump will meet with oil industry leaders at the White House on Friday to discuss efforts to help the industry as companies feel the impact of a massive drop in prices.
Executives from Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Occidental Petroleum and Continental Resources plan to meet with Trump.
The planned meeting was first reported by The Wall Street Journal and Trump confirmed at a White House press briefing Wednesday evening he'd be discussing the price war between Russia and Saudi Arabia with the executives.
"I'm going to meet with the oil companies on Friday," he said. "I'm going to meet with independent oil producers also on Friday, or Saturday, maybe Sunday. We're having a lot of meetings on it."
The price of oil has spiraled to around $20 a barrel, the lowest figure in two decades. (Read more)
5. Pence says administration will seek legislation to have insurers cover all coronavirus costs - Washington Examiner
Vice President Mike Pence said Wednesday that measures to cover the cost of all coronavirus treatments will be included in the next economic relief package.
"I can assure you that, as Congress and the president and the administration begin to discuss the next piece of legislation, we're going to make sure that Americans have those costs compensated and covered," Pence said during a White House briefing.
While the $2.2 trillion economic relief package that President Trump signed last week include a provision to waive co-pays for coronavirus testing, only two insurance companies, Cigna and Humana, have so far agreed to also waive costs for coronavirus treatment. (Read more)
6. Trump-touted malaria drug front and center in coronavirus treatment fight - Washington Times
A 65-year-old drug used mainly for treating malaria has suddenly become the world's most hotly debated pharmaceutical, thanks to the novel coronavirus and President Trump.

7. Trump resists pressure to declare nationwide stay-at-home order - The Hill
President Trump is holding back on declaring a nationwide stay-at-home order, even as some governors resist imposing restrictions that Trump's top public health officials say are needed to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
The president has been reluctant to wade into matters he argues are better left to governors. But the pressure is growing for Trump to be decisive as Republican-led states like Texas, Iowa and Missouri are among the final holdouts to issue stay-at-home directives.
Lawrence Gostin, director of the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University, said Trump may not have the legal authority to halt interstate travel or require governors to lock down a state. But the president has yet to fully use the power of his bully pulpit to encourage them to do so.
"What President Trump could do is send a much clearer signal that he wants all governors to do a lockdown on their states, to guide them about what that lockdown would require and what the standard should be," Gostin said. (Read more)

Be Encouraged in these prophetic times
As Christ said in Matthew 5:14-16, "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." You are that person! You have encouraged others. You have run errands on behalf of family, friends, neighbors. You have given a smile and assurance. You are an inspiration to others. You have been that lighted candle and even though the wind blows strong against you, your light remains a testimony to your Father in heaven. That is our lot in life during this pestilence.
When the disciples asked what shall be the sign of his coming and the end of the world, Christ responded in Matthew 24:4-8, "Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and deceive many. And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." The pestilence before us may or may not be part of this prophecy. Whether it is or not, you are a prophetic person with a prophetic mission in these times.
The next few days will be critical as to how this COVID-19 progresses or begins to regress. This is a time when we all need to be wise as a serpents and gentle as doves. Wisdom, in that we do not add to the problem. A source within the national healthcare system is saying that we are going to see the start of the peak of those that are COVID-19 positive, then there will be two weeks of calm and then two weeks where it will decrease. This person's advice is to not do what Italy did in neglecting this period and have it all come back even harder. This is the time when we are in the maximum state of infection and most vulnerable, she warns, so take care to stay home, stay away from people-be wise!!!!
Also during this time, be gentle as doves. What this means to me is encourage one another, not only to do the right thing (holding accountability), but also in love. Those who are fearful during these times need to know that they can make it, that someone cares about them, and that there is hope. This hope is not found in wild, extra-biblical, self-indulgent emotionalism, but rather in lovingkindness, prayerful reflection, and strength of character. The Holy Spirit in you is as Christ said-that he would send the Comforter-the Spirit of truth to guide us. Christ said the world would not know him or recognize him, but you know him. You have the answers that others are seeking right now. Be that testimony of your Father in heaven. Be encouraged in these prophetic times.

Religious freedom and COVID-19
There is much discussion about whether churches should be allowed to meet in person during the COVID-19 crisis. This is stimulating a debate between health concerns of spreading a deadly virus and the First Amendment right that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." The issue is deepened by a mega church pastor in Florida and another in Louisiana being cited for unlawful assembly. While these pastors may have the right to assemble, is it the right thing to do during a health pandemic?
Pastor Tony Spell of Central, Louisiana has ignored requests from local leaders and the governor to suspend services because he sees it as "an attack on religion. This is an attack on our constitutional rights. We have a constitutional right to assemble and to gather and there are no laws I am breaking." In Florida, Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne, co-founder of the River at Tampa Bay Church, is accused of presiding over Sunday services attended by hundreds of parishioners, some of them ferried there by bus transportation his church provided. The Tampa Bay Times reported that Howard-Browne told his congregation of over 4,000, "Suddenly we are demonized because we believe God heals, that the Lord sets people free, and they make us out to be some sort of kooks."
Law enforcement and public officials have a different point of view. In both cases, they contend that churches are not being prevented from meeting, but that they should do it online-both churches have the technology to do so. The officials say that public health concerns during this emergency crisis outweigh the need to meet in person and that these directives are only temporary until the crisis subsides. Family Research Council President Tony Perkins has said, "If I thought this was an attack on religious freedom, I'd be right there with him (Spell). It's a directive for the sake of public health not to meet." There are many reports that churches meeting in person have actually spread COVID-19 into their respective communities.
When Satan brought Christ to the pinnacle of the temple, urging him to cast himself down, Christ responded in Luke 4:12, "It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." Godly faith, even unto healing, is not foolish, nor does it tempt God. Those who question others' faith because they subscribe to best practices of science and health in dealing with COVID-19 are both foolish and risk tempting God. Just because you have the Constitutional right to exercise your faith in public, doesn't mean it is the right thing to do. Many are seeking answers during this crisis but foolish and reckless acts by Christians cause those seeking to question the very credibility of God. We are God's representatives on earth. Let's not get in the way of what God wants to accomplish during these times. Show your faith with wisdom and love.

Because He Lives
Classic Hymns
BECAUSE HE LIVES
"She will bear a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins." (Matthew 1:21)
Lyrics
God sent His son, they called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal, and forgive.
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.
How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives.
But greater still the calm assurance,
This child can face uncertain days because He lives.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.
And then one day I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war with pain.
And then as death gives way to victory,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone!
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives!

About the Author:
Words and Melody: Bill Gaither, 1971
About the Hymn:
. . . The breakup of the marriage of Bill's sister, Mary Ann, had left his family devastated. What's more, a close friend's accusation that Bill and Gloria were using their ministry just to make a buck blindsided the couple and plunged Bill into a deep depression.
Gloria also remembers it as a time of fear and sadness. The educational system was being infiltrated with the "God is dead" idea, while drug abuse and racial tension were increasing. The thought of bringing another child into the world was taking its toll.
But after a simple prayer by one of Bill's close friends-a prayer that commanded the devil to back off-both Bill and Gloria recall that the strength of the Holy Spirit seemed to come to their aid. Christ's resurrection, in all its power, was reaffirmed in their hearts. They were assured that the future, left in God's hands, would be just fine.
In July 1970 a healthy baby, Benjamin, was born. Inspired by the miracle of their son's birth, "Because He Lives" poured out of the Gaithers' grateful hearts. The song clearly affirms the hope believers have in Christ. We can face tomorrow, with all its uncertainty, as we realize that God holds the future and makes life worth living.

44 Percent Say Coronavirus Is 'Wake-Up Call' from God, Sign of His Judgment
More than four in 10 likely voters in the United States believe the coronavirus pandemic is a wake-up call from God or a sign of "coming judgment," according to a new poll.
The survey asked likely voters a series of questions about the pandemic and faith, including: "Do you see the global coronavirus pandemic and economic meltdown" as "signs of coming judgment" or "a wake-up call for us to turn back to faith in God?"
A total of 44 percent of likely voters picked one or the other or chose both. Twenty-two percent said "both," 17 percent said it was a wake-up call, and 5 percent said it was a sign of coming judgment. The poll was conducted among 1,000 likely voters between March 23-26 by McLaughlin & Associates for The Joshua Fund, a Christian ministry that supports Israel. McLaughlin & Associates also conducts political polls.
Meanwhile, 29 percent of likely voters agreed that "the coronavirus pandemic and global economic meltdown are evidence that we are living in what the Bible calls the 'last days." Fifty-six disagreed.
Joel C. Rosenberg, the founder and president of The Joshua Fund, called the results "stunning." "This survey provides a fascinating window into how Americans see the COVID-19 pandemic and how it is dramatically increasing their interest in spiritual matters," he said.
The survey asked non-Christians if the global pandemic has caused them to "have more interest in God and spiritual matters." Although 63 percent said it had not, others said it had.

'I've Never Done This on the Air': MSNBC Host Asks Pastor T.D. Jakes to Pray
GODTV.com] Amidst the global calamity affecting billions of people due to coronavirus, God's people never stop displaying the works of God to the world. In fact, glorious unexpected events keep happening even in the middle of this pandemic. Italian atheist doctors turning to God, the church worshiping through windows and drive-in, and the birthing of worldwide prayer and fasting for nations. Followers of Jesus cannot help but step up and shine. And another inspiring story is added to the list as an MSNBC host suddenly asked Pastor T.D. Jakes to pray live on National Television for the first time.
Asking To Pray For The First Time On-Air
The host Craig Melvin interviewed the megachurch pastor Bishop T.D. Jakes on Monday during "MSNBC Live." With a breaking news headline "Faith Groups Stepping Up In Virus Fight," both discussed the COVID19 crisis.
When unexpectedly he said, "For folks who aren't able to get to church yesterday, I've never actually done this on the air." Then he told The Potter's House Church Pastor, "Can you lead us in prayer for 30 seconds?"

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners
Our Mission Statement
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]

Our Scripture Reference for Today:
Numbers 16:46-50
46 Then Moses said to Aaron, "Take your censer and put incense in it, along with burning coals from the altar, and hurry to the assembly to make atonement for them. Wrath has come out from the Lord; the plague has started." 47 So Aaron did as Moses said, and ran into the midst of the assembly. The plague had already started among the people, but Aaron offered the incense and made atonement for them. 48 He stood between the living and the dead, and the plague stopped. 49 But 14,700 people died from the plague, in addition to those who had died because of Korah. 50 Then Aaron returned to Moses at the entrance to the tent of meeting, for the plague had stopped.
Commentary:
Just as in Moses' day, the plague has already broken out among our people, costing thousands of lives. Let's purpose in our own hearts now, as Aaron did, and bring an offering of REPENTANCE before our Lord, asking that this plague, too, may be stopped. Amen.
