1. 'Israeli missile is only guarantee of survival from potential Iran nukes' - Jerusalem Post

The Arrow missile system has already succeeded in pushing Iran to shift its military tactics.

In the face of a potential Iranian nuclear weapon, "only the arrow missile defense system guarantees Israeli survival," said former head of the Arrow project at Israel Aircraft Industries Dov Raviv on Tuesday.

Speaking at a conference of the Association for Israeli Military History on the occasion of the publication of a new book by another stalwart of Israel missile defense, Uzi Rubin, Raviv said, "We cannot dismiss a leader of a country who says it will destroy Israel . . . Iran has said this explicitly."

Raviv explained that while Israel has many military and diplomatic tools to try to stop Iran's drive to obtain a nuclear weapon, if it does not succeed, missile defense will be its last line of defense.

2. Israel advances housing plan in Jerusalem area Trump plan marks for Palestinians - Times of Israel

The Housing Ministry has begun advancing a plan to build a massive Jewish neighborhood in an East Jerusalem area that appears to be earmarked in the Trump administration's peace plan for a Palestinian tourism center.

On February 9, the ministry submitted a building plan that would see some 9,000 housing units constructed at the site of the Atarot Airport, which has been inoperative since the breakout of the Second Intifada in 2000.

While the Trump plan does not specify where exactly in Atarot the Palestinian tourism center would be located, the airport is the only open area in the East Jerusalem neighborhood where such a site could be built. 3. Reps. Jordan, Johnson tour Judea, Samaria as lines discussed for mapping Mideast peace plan - JNS.org

Two U.S. Republican House members visited historic and strategic sites in Judea and Samaria days after the creation of a special "deal of the century" committee to begin mapping out Israeli application of sovereignty in the disputed region.

Reps. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), formerly head of the House Freedom Caucus, was joined by Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.), a member of the Judiciary Committee and head of the Republican Study Committee, and their wives toured Israel this week on a trip organized by the Yes! Israel Project, an organization that introduces political and business leaders to places often avoided by mainstream American Jewish organizations.

In July, Jordan tweeted in favor of a House resolution condemning BDS, saying "Israel is America's closest ally and great friend. But radical left members of Congress are trying to take down a resolution in support of Israel."

In January, Johnson tweeted an article about the impending publication of the Mideast peace proposal, adding the psalm to "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem."

During the trip, Johnson also expressed support for Jewish sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. "I support the Trump [Mideast] deal that recognizes the Jewish connection to your homeland," he told JNS. "It is important for Israel to apply sovereignty to these lands as soon as possible. We have reservations about the so-called 'two-state solution' that would establish a Palestinian state."

4. PM says first of 400 new immigrants from Ethiopia set to arrive next week - Times of Israel

A plan approved last week to bring almost 400 Ethiopian immigrants to Israel is likely to get underway next week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday told a Likud campaign event focused on the Ethiopian Israeli community held in the central city of Rishon Lezion.

"I believe that the first plane will be on its way next week," Netanyahu said of the measure, which will allow the new immigrants to reunite with family members already living in Israel.

Only 43 people will be brought next week, however, as they are the only ones who made the cut for immediate approval under immigration guidelines, according to Hebrew media reports.

5. Smotrich Advances Plan for High-Speed Rail Line to Old City of Jerusalem - Jewish Press.com

Transportation Minister Bezalel Smotrich has given a directive to the National Planning and Building Council to advance a plan that will see a railway station for Israel's first high-speed train placed in the Old City of Jerusalem. The train will bring tourists from Ben Gurion International Airport straight to the Western Wall, according to a statement issued Monday from Smotrich's office. The plan, launched a year ago by former Transportation Minister Israel Katz, languished while politicians fought over fine print.

But this week the National Planning and Building Council approved a new route for the train, although the details of the change were not made public. The plan involves extending the high-speed line that has already been built from the airport, to Tel Aviv and on into the capital, to the Old City. To do so involves building more than three kilometers (two miles) of railway tunnel and two underground train stations underneath downtown Jerusalem as well as under the Old City of Jerusalem - a super-sensitive and extremely delicate task both politically and from an engineering standpoint.

Smotrich has praised the project as "historic," calling the new train line "huge news for Israeli residents and the millions of tourists who come to Jerusalem . . . We are also succeeding in promoting the Zionist and Jewish agenda," he added.

It's expected the project will take about four years to complete, if approved. For tourists and Israelis with a physical disability, the new train line to the Western Wall will be nothing short of a miracle, enabling people with mobility issues to finally access Judaism's holiest site as quickly and easily as other Israelis do.

1. Pompeo Slams Democrats for Secret Meeting With Top Iranian Official-Free Beacon

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo slammed on Tuesday a group of Democratic senators who reportedly met in secret with Iran's foreign minister during a foreign policy conference held over the weekend in Germany.

The meeting was not officially sanctioned by the U.S. government and appears to have been held in secret to avoid media scrutiny. State Department officials have been clear that they did not play any role in facilitating the meeting or backing it.

Pompeo, speaking to reporters during a tour through Africa, said that the Democrats who participated in the meeting are aiding and abetting the globe's foremost state sponsor of terrorism and anti-Semitism.

"This guy is designated by the United States," Pompeo said, referring to Zarif's recent addition to official U.S. terrorism lists.

"He's the foreign minister for a country that shot down an airliner and has yet to turn over the black boxes," Pompeo continued, referencing Iran's recent downing of a commercial airliner that killed all of those aboard. "This is the foreign minister of a country that killed an American on December 27. This is the foreign minister of a country that is the world's largest state sponsor of terror and the world's largest sponsor of anti-Semitism."

2. Public credits Trump more than Obama for booming economy-Washington Examiner

In the new fight between President Trump and former President Barack Obama over who did the most for the economy, Gallup has an answer: Trump.

A solid majority said that Trump "deserves" credit for the "improvement in the state of the economy in the past few years."

The survey found that 62% give Trump credit. Some 51% said Obama deserves credit.

In its "bottom line," the Gallup analysis said, "If Trump asks Americans whether they are better off than before he came into office, most would say they are. Trump also gets more credit for recent economic improvements than Obama does, though majorities give both credit."

-Father God, we thank you that the American people see the difference between claims that people are making about the past administrations efforts to grow the economy, and the fruit of what the current administration is doing in terms of economic policy. The fruits of the Trump administration's policies are undeniable. And the Trump administration will be known for their fruit of good policy choices. Amen!

3. Trump Sanctions Rosneft, Russia's Largest Oil Company, For Helping Maduro In Venezuela-Zero Hedge

The Trump administration announced significant new sanctions on Tuesday targeting Rosneft, Russia's largest oil company, for helping Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro circumvent U.S. sanctions. Specifically, the sanction targets Rosneft Trading SA, a unit of Russia's state-owned oil giant Rosneft, as well as company's executive Didier Casimiro, over the company's actions in Venezuela, senior administration official said in call with reporters.

The US accused Rosneft of propping up Venezuela's oil sector, the admin official said, characterizing the company as the "primary culprit" of a campaign to evade Washington's pressure campaign on the Maduro regime. As the US further details, the network of deception sometimes involves transferring oil to new ship before sale, typically to Asia. Occasionally, ships will also change their names, or lie about source of oil.

As McClatchy details, "the administration has accused Rosneft of sending tankers to Venezuelan ports without their tracking systems on - a violation of international law and a lifeline from sanctions on Venezuela's own state-run oil company, PDVSA, that has allowed Maduro to indirectly sell oil to China and India. Officials also said that Rosneft was orchestrating a strategy of transferring Venezuelan oil in international waters for shipment to Asia and West Africa."

US officials said that sanctions would hit Rosneft unit, as well as Casimiro's U.S. assets but stand as worldwide prohibition, and warned that the new U.S. sanctions will affect "anyone engaging in activity" with Rosneft Trading S.A.

President Trump on Wednesday thanked a top Pentagon official for his service, confirming that the undersecretary of Defense for policy was on his way out of the administration.

"I would like to thank John Rood for his service to our Country, and wish him well in his future endeavors!" Trump tweeted.

The president quote tweeted a Bloomberg News reporter who said Rood faced pressure to resign from some officials who lacked confidence in his ability to carry out Trump's agenda

5. Homeland Security waives contracting laws for border wall-AP News

The Trump administration said Tuesday that it is waiving federal contracting laws to speed construction of a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border, moving the president closer to fulfilling a signature campaign promise in an election year but sparking criticism about potential for fraud, waste and abuse.

The Department of Homeland Security said waiving procurement regulations will allow 177 miles (283 kilometers) of wall to be built more quickly in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. The 10 waived laws include a requirement for open competition and giving losing bidders a chance to protest decisions.

The acting Homeland Security secretary, Chad Wolf, is exercising authority under a 2005 law that gives him sweeping powers to waive laws for building border barriers.

6. US judge sides with migrants in case against Border Patrol-ABC News

A U.S. judge in Arizona sided Wednesday with migrants who have long-complained about inhumane and unsanitary conditions in some U.S. Border Patrol facilities in the state.

The ruling came weeks after the conclusion of a seven-day trial in which attorneys for migrants who sued in 2015 argued that the agency holds immigrants in extremely cold, overcrowded, unsanitary and inhumane conditions.

The center was one of the advocacy groups that brought the case forward. It was argued in court by attorneys for the law firm Morrison & Foerster.

"We are enthused that our justice system has intervened in a meaningful way to institute much needed change and hold CBP accountable," Huerta said.

7. DOJ pushes back at reports Barr considered quitting over Trump tweets-Fox News

The Justice Department pushed back Tuesday night at multiple reports claiming Attorney General William Barr told people close to him he's considering stepping down over President Trump's tweets, days after Barr admitted that Trump's tweeting made it "'impossible for me to do my job."

"Addressing Beltway rumors: The Attorney General has no plans to resign," DOJ spokeswoman Kerri Kupec tweeted.

Barr, speaking to ABC News last week, also denied ever acting on improper influence from Trump or the White House. White House officials told the Post that the president had no plans to stop tweeting about Justice Department cases.

8. Alice Johnson, grandmother granted clemency by Trump, says commutation critics 'have not looked' at cases-Fox News

Alice Marie Johnson, the Tennessee grandmother featured in a Super Bowl commercial spotlighting President Trump's record on criminal justice issues, spoke to Fox News Tuesday in response to Trump's critics after he pardoned seven people and commuted the sentences of four others.

"I know I wasn't politically connected," Alice Marie Johnson told "The Story." "And I know that three of my friends, Judith Negron, Crystal Munoz and Tynice Hall, were granted commutations today and they definitely are not politically connected, and anyone who thinks these women should not have been granted clemency have not looked at their cases."

Johnson said Tuesday that Trump's critics have not looked closely enough at the cases of Hall, Munoz and Negron. "They should be celebrating that these mothers are being reunited with their families, their stories are very compelling," she said. "And I'm very thankful."

9. Latino support for Trump holding steady: Poll-Washington Examiner

President Trump's Latino support is holding strong in the lead up to the 2020 election.

Thirty percent of Hispanic voters support Trump, and 23% approve strongly, according to a study by Pew Research Center.

Exit polls in 2016 showed about 28% of Latino voters voted for Trump.

The jobless rate for Latinos hit a record low in September when it fell to 3.9%.

"A YouTube/ Economist poll detailed that only 20% of Hispanics support the 'catch and release' of families crossing our borders illegally," RealClearPolitics reported.

10. Trump launches three-day campaign rally blitz-the Hill

President Trump is headlining three campaign rallies this week, part of a trip out west that includes both official and political events.

Starting Wednesday, Trump will hold rallies in Arizona, Colorado and Nevada over the course of three days as the 2020 campaign season accelerates.

The president will first rally supporters at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, Wednesday evening, an event that coincides with the Democratic presidential debate in Nevada.

The Arizona rally is a sign of the Trump campaign's effort to focus energy on a state that is now considered battleground territory. Trump won the state by less than a 4 percentage-point margin in 2016 over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Using freedom to threaten freedom

There is a commercial "authorized and approved" by Mike Bloomberg that shows the immediate past president and him together in various scenes, while the former president is talking about how "Mike" gets things done. All the while these scenes are showing, there is a very subliminal backdrop. It shows Bloomberg at a UN conference on Climate Change. Another is a Bloomberg rally to make guns illegal. Bloomberg is a very dangerous man to a free society. Look at his efforts in Virginia to ban guns and criminalize law-abiding gun owners. His entire tyrannical campaign is centered around using He his freedom, to extinguish everyone else's freedom.

Socialists like Bloomberg are trying to place a death grip on our free society. Christians must stand otherwise freedom will cease to exist. "Freedom sees in religion the companion of its struggles and its triumphs, the cradle of its infancy, the divine source of its rights. It considers religion as the safeguard of mores; and mores as the guarantee of laws and the pledge of its own duration."-these are the words of Alexis de Tocqueville, a French aristocrat who came to America in the 1830s to observe what made the country so great. His "Democracy in America" is considered a historic treasure about the unique success of the United States. Tocqueville wrote that America is free because of its collective Christian religion.

He pointed out that the laws that governed the Plymouth colony were derived from the Hebrew texts. In the later 1600s, even the law of Connecticut stated that man shall not "have or worship any other God, but the Lord God." He said that Americans "have succeeded in incorporating somehow into one another and combining marvelously . . .the spirit of religion and the spirit of freedom." According to the laws and the nature of early Americans, men and women who have the religious and political beliefs of most of our current leadership would have been forbidden to serve in such capacity, if not tried and convicted as criminal for their immorality and corruption.

Cotton Mather wrote in 1820, "There is a liberty of corrupt nature, which is affected both by men and beasts, to do what they list; and this liberty is inconsistent with authority, impatient of all restraint; by this liberty we are all inferior; 'tis the grand enemy of truth and peace, and all the ordinances of God are bent against it. But there is a civil, a moral, a federal liberty, which is the proper end and object of authority; it is a liberty for that only which is just and good; for this liberty you are to stand with the hazard of your very lives." Galatians 5:1 says, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." As Christians, we must demand and accept no other form of liberty.

Do you really have a voice?

Many Daily Jot readers write that they feel their voices are ignored when it comes to the national dialogue on politics and the decline of our nation. Others say that they feel helpless because they want to see our nation turned around, but no matter what they do-letter writing, faxes, phone calls, petitions, meetings, town halls-seems to have little, if no, impact on elected officials. They believe the government has gotten so big and overreaching that it no longer represents the people, but rather its own self-interest. Alexis de Tocqueville, a French philosopher and author of "Democracy in America" in two volumes (1835, and 1840), identified exactly why these readers feel the way they do.

Tocqueville wrote about the vibrance of the American system of government and how the virtue and spirit of the American people made government and freedom work. In his second volume, he astutely described, however, how "democracies" fall into a tyrannical reign through years of deception and growth of government. Tocqueville wrote of the resulting power of such a government toward its citizens: "That power is absolute, minute, regular, provident, and mild . . . it provides for their security, foresees and supplies their necessities, facilitates their pleasures, manages their principal concerns, directs their industry, regulates the descent of property, and subdivides their inheritances."

"The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd. By this system the people shake off their state of dependence just long enough to select their master and then relapse into it again." He wrote that this is a "compromise between administrative despotism and the sovereignty of the people; and they think they have done enough for the protection of individual freedom when they have surrendered it to the power of the nation at large."

Does this not describe today's America? The key accelerator of this brand of government is deceit. As Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." This type of deception has been longstanding and enduring. It is not only practiced by political leaders, but also by those in the pulpit, who use vain words to preserve their own interests. This happens when leaders are not virtuous and they do not hold to the one and only truth-the Word of God. It also happens when followers are convinced they have no right to hold leaders accountable, and because of false religious teachings, they believe they must submit to wicked authority. If we were making true disciples of Christ, our nation would reflect such.

TRUST AND OBEY

"O Lord Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in You." (Psalm 84:11-12)

Lyrics

When we walk with the Lord In the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain

Trust and obey, For there's no other way To be happy in Jesus, But to trust and obey.

Not a shadow can rise, Not a cloud in the skies, But His smile quickly drives it away; Not a doubt or a fear, Not a sigh or a tear, Can abide while we trust and obey.

Refrain

Not a burden we bear, Not a sorrow we share, But our toil He doth richly repay; Not a grief or a loss, Not a frown or a cross, But is blessed if we trust and obey.

Refrain

But we never can prove The delights of His love Until all on the altar we lay; For the favor He shows, For the joy He bestows, Are for them who will trust and obey.

Refrain

Then in fellowship sweet We will sit at His feet. Or we'll walk by His side in the way. What He says we will do, Where He sends we will go; Never fear, only trust and obey.

What Allowed Locusts to Multiply by the Millions?

Plague Spreads Far Beyond Africa to Middle East, China

The plague of locusts that is marching through Africa is also invading other continents as well. While billions of the locusts are ravaging East Africa and devastating crops, massive groups of the insects are also swarming through the Middle East. There have been reports in countries like Yemen, Iran and Pakistan, even into India, as well as new reports of locusts crossing into China. That could lead to deadly threats of hunger for millions of people in the regions. The United Nations has warned of the risk of a catastrophic famine.

"China told the United Nations that they have been tracking this particular swarm coming into the western part of China so they are not concerned," he said. "This is the winter season in Xinjiang so Chinese authorities told the national media in the last 24 to 48 hours that they are not concerned of any threat from these locusts because it is winter time," Thomas said. "They say it is very unlikely that these locusts will travel further inland into China."

In the Middle East, the locusts proliferated after unusually heavy rains and two cyclones that dumped a vast amount of water in the deserts of Oman. "Off the coast of Yemen and Oman there is a desert region with no water and last year they got hit by torrential rainfall then had two cyclones hit that very region. This is very unusual and those conditions gave rise and allowed these locusts to multiply by the millions," Thomas explained.

The swarm sweeping across much of east Africa is the greatest concern for those already facing food shortages. "India, Pakistan, Iran, China are not dealing with acute food shortages and are not so much at risk," Thomas said. "The biggest concern are those living in Africa. The planting and the harvest season happens between now and June. Eighteen million to 20 million are already facing food shortages and this is making it worse."

Even a small swarm of the insects can devour enough food for 35,000 people in a day. (CBN)

Reports of Supernatural Healing and Revival Amidst Coronavirus Outbreak

[GODTV.com] The novel coronavirus has become a global concern. As a result, a lot of speculation about the truth behind the viral infection can be read on the Internet. Some reports say it's not as serious as the fear propaganda would have us believe. While on the other hand, others say it's a more serious issue than what the news tells us. But what the media never tells us is the supernatural moving of God in the midst of this outbreak.

Stephen Strang of Charisma Magazine was able to interview Pastor Frank Amedia. The pastor has information about the response of Christian churches in China and what God is doing amidst the coronavirus outbreak.

Pastor Frank's POTUS Shield ministry has a "close alliance with the Christian community in China," according to Charisma Magazine. His reliable sources from China revealed that many Christians were being supernaturally healed.

We are reading through the whole Word, from Genesis to Revelation, and beginning again in Genesis when finished. [As of this writing, over the past three years, we have now "read through" the entire Word of God sixty-five times, nonstop. Hallelujah!]

Our numbers of readers continues to grow over time. All are welcome to join, as we use "the weapons of OUR warfare" to confront our enemy and BRING HIM DOWN through the LOVE of our Messiah and, by faith, setting captives free!

Our conference number is: 712-432-0075. The access code is: 206425#.

Please call at any time from midnight to 6:00 a.m. EST!
EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN OUR "WARFARE IN THE NIGHT", USING THE WEAPON OF HIS WARFARE - THE WORD OF GOD!

"For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)

> > > A footnote: 2020 has been declared "the Year of the Bible."

Hallelujah!!

Please join us as, together, we "soak the very atmosphere of our nation" in the WORD OF GOD!

In closing, let us decree together that . . .

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalm 119:105)

AMEN!!

Reminder!

Our conference number is: 712-432-0075.

And . . . once again . . . welcome!
