Twice rejected by Vienna’s prestigious Academy of Fine Arts, the Austrian wannabe painter Adolf Hitler [1889-1945] was appointed Chancellor of Germany on January 30, 1933. Germany, the “country of poets and thinkers,” would now be led by someone who fraternized with cranks and criminals and was often seen carrying a dog whip in public. The Third Reich [“the third empire”] had been inaugurated. 1
George Strausser Messersmith [1883-1960] was the United States consul general in Berlin during the rise and initial Nazification of Germany from 1930 to 1934. Nicknamed “40-page George” for his lengthy missives to Washington, Messersmith reported extensively on the Nazi policy of Gleichschaltung: Hitler’s enforcement of “political conformity in all sectors, from the economy and trade associations to the media, culture and education.” 2
Composed of the adjective gleich, meaning equal, same or identical, and the noun Schaltung, set-up or switch, the German term Gleichschaltung refers to the enforced shift to sameness or conformity. Imposed or made mandatory, it is the ultimate and literal consequence of the process of equality in terms of outcome, or “equity” in popular progressive parlance.
The parallels between the early 1930’s German subterfuge and contemporary America are becoming increasingly alarming, particularly with the latest COVID variant appearing to mutate into unmitigated totalitarian dictatorship. 4 Closely resembling Nazism’s Gleichschaltung, the Biden Administration and Speaker Nancy Pelosi are thus actively engaged in forcibly repressing or eliminating independence and freedom of thought, action, or expression.
What’s happening in America is spiritual. It all started in the late 19th century when America changed horses in midstream, maintaining this radical switch ever since. The State has become the place of worship, and its public education and school parishes have been converted into centers for evangelism and indoctrination of religious secular propaganda.
The takeover was completed with the removal of prayer to Jehovah God from public education in 1962 [Engel v. Vitale], the removal of the Bible from public schools in 1963 [Abington School District v. Schempp], and the removal of the Ten Commandments from public schools, courthouses, and government buildings in 1980 [Stone v. Graham].
This put an untimely end to a nation founded “for the glory of God and advancement of the Christian faith.” America’s levers of culture power are now manned by unhallowed, militant devotees to secularism. Holding sway over the spiritual, intellectual, educational, economical and vocational mountains of influence, they dominate every facet of American life ... that is, of a once “free people.”

1. Iran-backed forces believed to have seized tanker off UAE coast, maritime security sources say - YNET News
Iranian-backed forces are believed to have seized an oil tanker in the Gulf off the coast of the United Arab Emirates, two maritime security sources said Tuesday.
The claim came after Britain's maritime trade agency reported a "potential hijack" was unfolding off the coast of the UAE's Fujairah Emirate.
The Times of London reported Tuesday evening that British sources believe the Asphalt Princess vessel had been hijacked and were "working on the assumption Iranian military or proxies boarded" the ship.
Iran's foreign ministry said reports of security incidents involving several ships near the UAE coast on Tuesday were "suspicious" and warned against any effort to create a "false atmosphere" against Tehran. (Read more)

2. Update: ‘Incident’ in Gulf of Oman Upgraded to ‘Hijack’, Four More Vessels Involved - Jewish Press
Late Tuesday “Lloyd’s List” confirmedthat “reports of hijacked tanker in the Gulf of Oman, first raised by UK Maritime Trade Operations Tuesday, is the Panama-flagged asphalt tanker Asphalt Princess.”
A security source quoted by Sky Newssaid that a group of eight or nine armed individuals were believed to have boarded the Princess. “It was an unauthorized boarding in the Gulf of Oman,” the source said.
At around 7 pm Israel time, the non-piracy “incident” that was reported earlier in the day by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency — part of the UK Defense Ministry — was upgraded from an “incident underway” to a “potential hijack.” (Read more)

3. Bennett: Iran’s days of setting Middle East on fire are over - Jerusalem Post
The prime minister spoke of Israel's efforts to bring the international community to its side but added that “at the same time, we know how to act alone.”
Israel will no longer allow Iran to continue its aggression with impunity, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett warned on a visit to the IDF Northern Command on Monday.
“Iran already knows the price that we exact when someone threatens our security,” he said. “The Iranians need to understand that it is impossible to sit peacefully in Tehran and from there ignite the entire Middle East. That is over.” (Read more)

4. WATCH: Massive fires in Jerusalem and surrounding areas - World Israel News
As Israel experiences an intense heat wave, large fires have been burning over the past couple of days in the Jerusalem area and in the capital itself.
On Tuesday afternoon, a large brush fire erupted outside the residential community of Shoresh, just west of the capital. It was unclear whether it was sparked deliberately or due to negligence.
In the evening, firefighters were battling a serious blaze in the Western Jerusalem neighborhood of Givat Shaul, as seen in video below. (Read more)

5. Heavy gun battle in Jenin between Israeli troops, attackers; 6 Palestinians hurt - Times of Israel
Undercover Border Police forces clashed with Palestinian gunmen in the West Bank city of Jenin during a heavy exchange of fire early Tuesday morning, with several of the attackers hit, Israel Police said in a statement.
Police said members of its counterterrorism unit, known by its Hebrew acronym Yamam, “neutralized a number of terrorists” who had opened fire at the troops during arrest operations in Jenin.
Forces came under “massive fire” during the operations, police said. The attackers also hurled explosive devices, Molotov cocktails and rocks at the Israeli troops, police said.

Israeli Defense Chief Benny Gantz said this week that an alleged recent attack on Israel was a “stepping-up of the escalation” between Israel and Iran.
Gantz was referring to an alleged attack on an Israeli-linked oil tanker off the coast of Oman last week. The attack killed two crew members, including one from the United Kingdom and one from Romania, which Gantz called a “violation of international law and human morality.” (Read more)

The Biden administration on Tuesday announced a new ban on evictions for many renters just days after the White House allowed a nationwide moratorium to expire on Saturday, infuriating progressive House Democrats who warned that millions of Americans could lose their homes.
As President Biden hinted at during his Tuesday afternoon news conference, officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention drafted a new eviction moratorium aimed at protecting tenants in counties with "substantial and high levels of community transmission" of COVID-19. Over 90% of the U.S. population lives in the affected areas, sources told The Associated Press.
The two-month moratorium expires Oct. 3.
"The emergence of the delta variant has led to a rapid acceleration of community transmission in the United States, putting more Americans at increased risk, especially if they are unvaccinated," CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said. "This moratorium is the right thing to do to keep people in their homes and out of congregate settings where COVID-19 spreads. It is imperative that public health authorities act quickly to mitigate such an increase of evictions, which could increase the likelihood of new spikes in SARS-CoV-2 transmission. Such mass evictions and the attendant public health consequences would be very difficult to reverse." (Read more)

2. Pentagon police officer killed in attack outside Department of Defense headquarters - Fox News
A Pentagon police officer was killed in a "shooting event" outside the Defense Department headquarters Tuesday morning, a defense official confirmed to Fox News.
The Associated Press reported that the officer was stabbed by the suspect, who was shot and killed at the scene by law enforcement.
The suspect was later identified by multiple law enforcement officials as Austin William Lanz, 27, of Georgia. Marine Corps spokesman Maj. Jim Stenger told Fox News that Lanz was enlisted in the Marine Corps in October 2012 but administratively separated on Nov. 2, 2012, and never earned the title Marine.
Neither Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin nor Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley was present at the Pentagon during the shooting. Both were with President Biden at their weekly Tuesday meeting at the White House.
"On behalf of everyone working at the Pentagon, and across the Department of Defense, I extend my deepest sympathies to the family, loved ones and colleagues of the Pentagon Force Protection Officer who died as a result of injuries he received this morning," Austin said in a statement later Tuesday.
"This fallen officer died in the line of duty, helping protect the tens of thousands of people who work in – and who visit – the Pentagon on a daily basis," Austin said. "He and his fellow officers are members of the Pentagon family, and known to us all as professional, skilled and brave. This tragic death today is a stark reminder of the dangers they face and the sacrifices they make. We are forever grateful for that service and the courage with which it is rendered." (Read more)

3. Maricopa County tells Arizona senators to prepare for legal defense over audit 'misdeeds' - Washington Examiner
Maricopa County officials defied the Republican-led Arizona Senate's latest round of subpoenas for the controversial audit in the state's most populous county seeking access to routers and other materials.
Instead, following a board meeting on Monday, Chairman Jack Sellers wrote to state senators reaffirming the integrity of the contest, encouraging them to release a report on the audit with the information already obtained, and warning them to prepare for legal representations for the partisan review.
“The Senate and their privately funded contractors should finish their 'audit', release their report and be prepared to defend it in court," said Sellers, criticizing the Senate-hired firm Cyber Ninjas leading the audit.
County officials rejected demands in the subpoena, expressing a continued refusal to provide routers they argue would put "sensitive" data about residents at risk, according to a response. (Read more)

4. Denver requires city workers in ‘high risk’ areas to get vaccinated - Fox 29
The city and county of Denver in Colorado announced on Monday that all city employees, as well as private-sector workers in areas where the novel coronavirus is surging will have to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Sept. 30.
The city’s Twitter account posted the announcement after several companies and government organizations across the United States began reinstating mask mandates and issuing new vaccine requirements as cases of the highly transmissible delta variant of COVID-19 surge.
“The City and County of Denver is approving a far-reaching public health order mandating that all city employees, as well as private-sector workers in high-risk settings, be required to be fully vaccinated against #COVID19 by September 30," the announcement read. (Read more)

We ask that You, Lord, would intervene in this matter to push back on this unjust government mandate to decide for people who will be required to get a "shot." 6. Media silent on bombshell Wuhan lab report as GOP lawmaker sounds alarm: ‘Greatest cover-up in human history’ - Fox News
The mainstream media was silent on alarming findings from the House Foreign Affairs Committee Republicans' probe into the possible origins of COVID-19 on Monday, despite one lawmaker calling it the "greatest cover-up in human history."
The bombshell findings made the most detailed case yet that the coronavirus pandemic resulted from a leak from a Wuhan virology lab, but CNN, MSNBC, ABC News, NBC News and CBS News all failed to cover the report. Fox News contributor Joe Concha said there are multiple reasons why corporate media has shielded Americans from the news.
“It serves as a reminder that when they rushed to judgement, because … a Republican like Sen. Tom Cotton who said that this can come from a lab, that being COVID, or when President Trump echoed the same thing, they were portrayed as reckless conspiracy theorists," Concha said Tuesday on "Fox & Friends." 7. Twitter partners with AP, Reuters to fight misinformation - The Hill
Twitter is partnering with The Associated Press and Reuters as part of an initiative to help combat misinformation on the platform.
Through the program, Twitter’s curation team will work with the outlets to provide more context on emerging news stories, according to the Monday announcement.
For example, users on Twitter can expect to see more “Trends” on the platform that include “contextual description and links to reporting from trusted sources more frequently.”
Through the program, Twitter also aims to “proactively” provide context on topics that are garnering widespread interest. “Rather than waiting until something goes viral, Twitter will contextualize developing discourse at pace with or in anticipation of the public conversation,” it said in the blog post.
Twitter’s "Birdwatch" feature, a user-based forum to combat misinformation that it launched earlier this year, will also use feedback from the AP and Reuters as a way to assess the quality of information elevated by users. (Read more)

8. Justice Breyer rejects Maine church request to prevent new COVID-19 restrictions - Fox News
Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer rejected a Maine church’s request to prevent the state from reimposing COVID-19restrictions on places of worship. Breyer rejected the church's motion for an injunction without comment, though the motion was unlikely to succeed after Maine lifted its restrictions on religious gatherings in May. But citing the Delta variant, the church argued that the governor could at any time reimpose the restrictions.
The church filed the petition last week, arguing that Maine had imposed the "most severe restrictions in the nation on places of worship" and exempted some activities and businesses while targeting religious gatherings.
"Despite the abundant precedent from this Court, Maine ignored it all and continued to impose discriminatory and unconstitutional restrictions on religious worship services long after it became clear they were unconstitutional," the church argued in the petition. "In fact, even after all of the various restrictions had been enjoined or rescinded, Maine maintained the dubious distinction of imposing the most severe restrictions in the nation on places of worship." 9. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio will mandate Covid vaccines for certain indoor activities - CNBC
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio mandated inoculations for a range of indoor venues at a news conference Tuesday morning, requiring proof of Covid vaccinations from employees and customers of indoor eateries, gyms and entertainment centers.
The order goes into effect Aug. 16, with full enforcement beginning Sept. 13. De Blasio said the mandate, known as the Key to NYC Pass, would encourage increased immunizations to combat the spread of the delta coronavirus variant.
“When you hear those words, I want you to imagine the notion that, because someone’s vaccinated, they can do all the amazing things that are available in this city,” de Blasio said of the Key to NYC Pass.
De Blasio added that the city would begin inspecting businesses for compliance in mid-September. All affected customers and workers can either provide their vaccination cards or upload their proof of vaccination to the Excelsior Pass application. (Read more)

10. 74% Of COVID-19 Cases In Massachusetts Outbreak Were Vaccinated, CDC Says - Daily Caller
Nearly 75% of COVID-19 infections during a July outbreak in a Massachusetts town happened to people who were previously vaccinated, the CDC said in a study released Friday.
“In July 2021, following multiple large public events in a Barnstable County, Massachusetts, town, 469 COVID-19 cases were identified among Massachusetts residents who had traveled to the town during July 3–17; 346 (74%) occurred in fully vaccinated persons,” the CDC report said. “Testing identified the Delta variant in 90% of specimens from 133 patients. Cycle threshold values were similar among specimens from patients who were fully vaccinated and those who were not.”
The study was based on 469 cases of COVID-19 associated with several outdoor events in July in Provincetown, Massachusetts, according to NBC News. The patients studied are those who completed a two-dose course of the mRNA vaccines or received a single shot of Johnson & Johnson’s. (Read more)

The House Foreign Affairs Committee Minority Staff Report (Report) on the origins of the COVID 19 pandemic and the roles of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) tells a horror story on how the CCP and WHO were complicit in covering up the virus in the early stage of the pandemic, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people worldwide, especially in the United States. The Report documents how when Communist Chinese officials knew the deadly virus was active weeks before it was announced, they nationalized supply chains, secretly produced medical supplies, and intentionally prevented export of such supplies.
The Report reveals, “It is highly likely that China’s nationalization of the manufacturing capacity of foreign companies, including 3M and General Motors, directly impacted the ability of the United States and other countries to procure PPE on the global market. The CCP threatened to cut off supplies to countries who questioned their false account of the early stages of the pandemic.” The Report indicates that the state-run press agency Xinhua News stated that if the CCP chose to ban pharmaceutical exports to the US, it would be “plunged into the mighty sea of coronavirus.” The Report says, “this tactic is one that the CCP has deployed repeatedly during the pandemic…In sum, the COVID-19 global pandemic could have been prevented if the CCP acted in a transparent and responsible manner.” Read More

FEMA and FCC Plan Nationwide Emergency Alert Test for Aug. 11 Test Messages Will be Sent to TVs and Radios Along with Select Cell Phones That Have Opted-in to Receive Test Messages
WASHINGTON – FEMA, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission, will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) this summer.
The national test will consist of two portions, testing WEA and EAS capabilities. Both tests will begin at 2:20 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Aug. 11.
The Wireless Emergency Alert portion of the test will be directed only to consumer cell phones where the subscriber has opted-in to receive test messages. This will be the second nationwide WEA test, but the first nationwide WEA test on a consumer opt-in basis. The test message will display in either English or in Spanish, depending on the language settings of the wireless handset.
The Emergency Alert System portion of the test will be sent to radios and televisions. This will be the sixth nationwide EAS test.
FEMA and the FCC are coordinating with EAS participants, wireless providers, emergency managers and other stakeholders in preparation for this national test to minimize confusion and to maximize the public safety value of the test. The test is intended to ensure public safety officials have the methods and systems that will deliver urgent alerts and warnings to the public in times of an emergency or disaster.

After a mudslide stranded over 100 motorists overnight and indefinitely shutdown a major interstate in Colorado on Thursday, the state is preparing to issue a state and federal disaster declaration.
Crews are still cleaning up the impacted area of I-70 near the Hanging Lake Tunnel in Glenwood Canyon where the mudslides occurred, and there is currently no estimate as to when the section of the interstate will reopen.
"The monsoon weather patterns means this threat is ongoing," Colorado Gov. Jared Polis said during a press conference on Monday. "Today's hail and rain could potentially do additional slides and we're not out of the woods yet with regards to additional damage."
He added that they won't know the extent of the damage until the debris is cleared and that there were some areas that were under 10 feet or more of mud. Due to the extent of the damage, the state would also be seeking aid at a federal level.
"We are also readying a state disaster declaration and a request for a federal declaration with the Biden administration," Polis announced on Monday in an update on the damage. "Glenwood Canyon is majestic, but its majestic nature makes for challenges when it comes to infrastructure, especially in the face of catastrophic climate change affecting states across the West. We have extensive damage to I-70 in multiple locations in Glenwood Canyon, and the monsoon weather pattern means this threat is ongoing." (Accuweather.com) Read more.

World-Record Holder Sydney McLaughlin Says She Finds 'True Stability in Jesus'

U.S. Olympian Sydney McLaughlin delivered another stellar performance on Monday in the semi-finals of the women's 400-meter hurdles, landing a spot in the finals at the Tokyo Olympics. She won the semi-final by scoring just shy of the Olympic record with a time of 53.03, despite facing rainy conditions.
And her response to the competition garners just as much attention as her performance.
McLaughlin broke the world record last month during the U.S. Olympic track and field trials with a recorded time of 51.90 seconds, becoming the first woman to run the event in under 52 seconds.
After achieving the best time, the 21-year-old gave all the glory to God.
"I felt immediate excitement and overall gratefulness," she said. "I owe it all to God, my family and my team. I'm still in disbelief, but it's truly just faith, trusting the process, and seeing my hard work along with the gift of God being put into action."
"Some days, the friendships and support are through the roof. Others, you wouldn't even know it was there. Especially in a world full of inconsistency, it's such a breath of fresh air to find true stability in Jesus. As humans, we are constantly shifting our efforts toward one another based off emotions and circumstances," she wrote.
