Dr. Malone calls out FDA for “bureaucratic shell game” on vaccine approval
|
|
On the Aug. 24 morning edition of “War Room: Pandemic,” vaccinologist Dr. Robert Malone called out the Food and Drug Administration for playing a “bureaucratic shell game” with their supposed early approval of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine.
In fact, Malone noted, the FDA issued two separate and distinct letters.
“There is a letter for Pfizer and a letter for BioNTech. The New York Times and the Washington Post got it wrong. The authorization is not for Pfizer. The authorization is for BioNTech, and it will only be initiated at the time BioNTech product becomes available…
“The liability coverage, the blanket coverage that allows Pfizer to not be liable for any adverse event, only applies to the Pfizer product, which is still under emergency use authorization.”
Therefore, Malone recommends that anyone who has to get the vaccine “hold off” for the BioNTech product. “That’s the one that will no longer have liability protection in the same way the the Pfizer emergency use authorization does.”
In other words, if something goes wrong, you cannot sue Pfizer if you use that company’s vaccine, but you will be able to sue BioNTech if you use their product.
Malone also noted with considerable incredulity that:
- The FDA bypassed/disregarded the normal advisory committee and public comment process for this license. See p2 “We did not refer your application to the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee because our review of information submitted in your BLA, including the clinical study design and trial results, did not raise concerns or controversial issues that would have benefited from an advisory committee discussion.”
The two letters are available for download from FDA:

1. Ahead of Washington visit, Bennett pledges growth of Israeli settlements - Jerusalem Post
Two days ahead of his first meeting with US President Joe Biden, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has said he will neither annex West Bank territory nor permit it to become a Palestinian state, although he does plan to continue construction in settlements.
In his first interview published on Tuesday with an international media organization since taking over from Benjamin Netanyahu in June, Bennett, who is expected to arrive in Washington on Tuesday night, told The New York Times that the left-to-right composition of his coalition government meant that major diplomatic moves in either direction are off the table for now.
“This government will neither annex nor form a Palestinian state, everyone gets that,” he said. “I’m prime minister of all Israelis, and what I’m doing now is finding the middle ground — how we can focus on what we agree upon.” (Read more)

2. Report: Israel preparing for possibility of rocket fire during Bennett-Biden meeting - Israel National News
Ahead of the meeting in Washington between Bennett and Biden, officials in Israel on Wednesday night estimated tonight that Hamas may fire a rocket during the meeting between the leaders, Channel 12 reported.
According to the report, the IDF, including the air force, is continuing to prepare for an escalation near Gaza.
The army, further, is drawing a distinction between "incendiary balloons" - which can be "contained" pending a response, and rocket launches - which will lead to an immediate, powerful response.
A political source said tonight in a conversation with reporters accompanying the Prime Minister's entourage ahead of the meeting between Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and US President Joe Biden that the US administration understands that Hamas' conduct in Gaza is problematic. (Read more)

3. Israel 'cannot rule out' action against Iran's nuclear program, top defense officials say - Israel Hayom
Defense Minister Benny Gantz said Wednesday that he believes that a credible threat of an Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear facilities is the only way the Biden administration will be able to negotiate a better nuclear deal with Tehran.
Israel contends its regional archrival Iran seeks nuclear weapons, citing the radical regime's repeated threats to annihilate the Jewish state. Tehran, however, insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only.
Earlier this month, the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed that Iran has accelerated its enrichment of uranium to near weapons grade, a move raising tensions with the West as both sides seek to resume talks on reviving Tehran's nuclear deal.
In a briefing for over 60 foreign ambassadors Wednesday, Gantz doubled down on the threat, saying that Israel "has the means to act and will not hesitate to do so – I do not rule out the possibility that Israel will have to take action in the future in order to prevent a nuclear Iran." (Read more)

Two days ahead of his first meeting with President Joe Biden, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said he would neither annex West Bank territory nor permit it to become a Palestinian state but plans to continue settlement construction.
In his first discussion with an international news organization since succeeding Benjamin Netanyahu in June, Bennett, who is expected to arrive in Washington Tuesday night, told The New York Times in an interview published Tuesday that the left-to-right composition of his coalition government meant that major diplomatic moves in either direction are being called off for now.

5. US official: Iran a threat to Israel, US is committed to Israel security- Jerusalem Post
WASHINGTON - The meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Bennett and US President Biden is a “chance for the Prime Minister to hear directly from the President his ironclad commitment to Israel's security and self-defense, and supporting Israel's defense needs,” a senior administration official told reporters ahead of the meeting.
The meeting between the two will take place on Thursday morning (local time) just five days before the US self-imposed deadline to withdraw from Afghanistan. “It's important in the context of those events because (…) the end of America's military involvement in Afghanistan frees up resources and attention and ultimately allows us to better support our partners like Israel,” the official said.
“I’m often asked, “Are we de-prioritizing the Middle East and our friends in the Middle East?” And nothing could be further from the truth. If anything, in the Biden administration, we are not pursuing, unachievable goals,” the official continued.
“We're not trying to transform the Middle East,” the official argued. “We're not trying to overthrow regimes. We are pursuing a very steady course, centered on achievable aims; alignment of ends and means; and, first and foremost, support to our partners, and, of course, Israel being second to none.”
Speaking about Iran, the official said that “Iran will be a big topic of discussion because Iran is a threat to Israel, and we are 100 percent committed to the security of Israel - no ifs, ands, or buts.” (Read more)

2. Ohio State University mandates vaccines for students, faculty and staff - The Hill
Ohio State University on Tuesday announced it would be mandating COVID-19 vaccines for all students, faculty and staff in light of the Food and Drug Administration granting Pfizer's vaccine full approval.
With Monday’s news that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted full approval to the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, Ohio State will now require every student, faculty and staff member to be vaccinated against COVID-19," university president Kristina M. Johnson said in a message to the campus community.
"The university is taking this step because vaccines are the safest and most effective form of protection against COVID-19. We are focused on enhancing the health and safety of our community," she added. "This step will increase our ability to support our students in continuing their educational experiences as well as help protect our current and the state’s future workforce." (Read more)

- Lord God it seems so convenient that the FDA rushed to put their approval on an experimental vaccine and now all of a sudden different companies, universities, and government agencies are mandating this vaccine. 3. TRUMP: “How many terrorists will Joe Biden bring to America?” - DML News
Former President Donald Trump issued a scathing statement on Tuesday, slamming Joe Biden for his inadequate efforts to evacuate Americans from Afghanistan.
“Biden surrendered Afghanistan to terrorists and left thousands of Americans for dead by pulling out the Military before our citizens,” Trump wrote. “Now we are learning that out of the 26,000 people who have been evacuated, only 4,000 are Americans.”
“You can be sure, the Taliban, who are now in complete control, did not allow the best and brightest to board these evacuation flights,” he added. Trump went on to question the vetting process of Afghans who were evacuated by the American military.
“We can only imagine how many terrorists have been airlifted out of Afghanistan and into neighborhoods around the world,” he wrote.
“What a terrible failure. NO VETTING,” Trump concluded. “How many terrorists will Joe Biden bring to America? We don’t know!” (Read more)

4. 60% of adults under 40 say Jesus isn’t only way to salvation; equal to Buddha, Muhammad - The Christian Post
More than 60% of born again Christians in America between the ages of 18 and 39 believe that Buddha, Muhammad and Jesus are all valid paths to salvation and over 30% say they either believe that Jesus sinned just like other people when He lived on Earth or aren’t sure, according to a new study.
There’s a “striking decline” in evangelical religious beliefs and practices over the last 10 years, as the number of self-proclaimed believers to hold these beliefs has increased by nearly 25%, says Probe Ministries in a statement announcing the results of its Religious Views & Practices Survey.
The study, which interviewed 3,100 Americans ages 18 to 55 in 2020 and looked at various other previous studies, saw a drop in “basic biblical worldview” — God’s attributes, the accuracy of the Bible, salvation and Jesus being sinless — from 47% in 2010 to 25% in 2020 among born again Christians.
The drop in the “expanded biblical worldview” — beliefs about Satan and morals being objective — went from 32% in 2010 to 16% in 2020. (Read more)

5. Pentagon: US troops must get their COVID-19 vaccines ASAP - AP News
Military troops must immediately begin to get the COVID-19 vaccine, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a memo Wednesday, ordering service leaders to “impose ambitious timelines for implementation.”
More than 800,000 service members have yet to get their shots, according to Pentagon data. And now that the Pfizer vaccine has received full approval from the Food and Drug Administration, the Defense Department is adding it to the list of required shots troops must get as part of their military service.
The Austin memo does not dictate a specific timeline for completing the vaccinations. But it says the military services will have to report regularly on their progress. A senior defense official said that Austin has made it clear to the services that he expects them to move quickly, and that this will be completed in weeks not months. (Read more)

6. China vows to hit back at any nation blaming COVID on Wuhan lab: report - New York Post
China is threatening to retaliate against any country that claims the coronavirus originated from a Wuhan lab leak — a warning that comes as a US intelligence community report was “inconclusive” about the origins of the pandemic.
“We will continue to cooperate with international organizations like the WHO in their research and in their search for the origins,” said Fu Cong, director-general of the Foreign Ministry’s Arms Control Department , according to Bloomberg News.
“But we do not accept baseless and unfounded accusations that are politically motivated. And if they want to baselessly accuse China, so they better be prepared to accept the counterattack from China,” he said on Wednesday. (Read more)

7. US says about 1,500 citizens remain in Afghanistan - The Hill
Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday said about 1,500 Americans remain in Afghanistan and are waiting to be evacuated. The Biden administration has been engaged in a furious effort to evacuate Americans and Afghan allies before Aug. 31, the deadline set for a complete exit from the country.
Blinken said the U.S. has evacuated 82,300 people, including 4,500 people with U.S. passports, since Aug. 14, the day before the Taliban took Kabul and completed its takeover of Afghanistan. He cautioned that the tally of Americans is highly fluid and changes almost hour to hour.
U.S. diplomats are in direct contact with 500 of the 1,500 Americans, and has provided instructions to those people on how to get to the airport safely, Blinken said.
“For the remaining roughly 1,000 contacts that we had, who may be Americans seeking to leave Afghanistan, we're aggressively reaching out to them multiple times a day through multiple channels of communication, phone, email, text messaging to determine whether they still want to leave, and to get the most up to date information and instructions to them for how to do so,” he said. 8. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Biden Must Resettle At Least 200K Afghans in U.S. - Brietbart
In an interview with The Independent, Ocasio-Cortez urged Biden to set a floor of 200,000 visas for Afghans to be evacuated from Afghanistan and brought to the U.S. for permanent resettlement and eventual naturalized American citizenship.
Should Biden implement such a plan, resettling 200,000 Afghans would be the equivalent of bringing 4.5 percent of the total number of Afghans residing in Kabul, Afghanistan, to the U.S.
Ocasio-Cortez stated:
“I believe we need to move and the administration needs to move as quickly as possible and as expansively as possible ensuring that we are raising the amount of refugee visas to whatever amount is necessary,” the self-described democratic socialist congresswoman told The Independent.
“I would say the rock bottom is 200,000, but I think it should be whatever is necessary,” Ms Ocasio-Cortez said. “And that needs to be expedited as soon as possible.” (Read more)

A Call to Pray for Afghanistan
|
|
|
Hello. This is Rick Ridings of Succat Hallel in Jerusalem. And I’d like to share with you a couple of ways that we’re praying here for the situation in Afghanistan.
The first is based very much on what we experienced here for four years from the year 2000 to 2004 of many, many bus bombings and suicide bombings in this city and in our own neighborhood. And we had children.
And I saw the grace of God as believers prayed for us to be able to continue to worship and pray. And I saw how important it was for us to rise above the fear.

Supreme Court requires Biden to revive Trump's 'remain in Mexico' immigration policy
|
|
|
WASHINGTON, Aug 24 (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday denied President Joe Biden's bid to rescind an immigration policy implemented by his predecessor, Donald Trump, that forced thousands of asylum seekers to stay in Mexico awaiting U.S. hearings.
The court, with three liberal justices dissenting, rejected the Biden administration's effort to block a Texas-based judge's ruling requiring the government to revive Trump's "remain in Mexico" policy, formally known as the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) program.
The Supreme Court's 6-3 conservative majority includes three justices appointed by Trump.
The brief order by the justices means that U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk's ruling now goes into effect.
The Department of Homeland Security said in a statement it regretted the Supreme Court's decision and would continue to "vigorously challenge" the district court ruling. As the appeals process continues, it said, the agency will comply with the order "in good faith" and has begun discussions with Mexico. (Reuters) Read more.
PRAYER #1 -
- Father God, we offer a great chorus of praise for this common-sense verdict rendered by the Supreme Court. We note, too, that this opinion has been rendered while the Court is officially now out of session, showing the importance of this ruling. Thank You, Lord, in Your Holy Name, amen and amen.
- "But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!" (Amos 5:24)
PRAYER #2 -
- Thank you Lord for this win as it pertains to the United States border. We ask that you continue to protect our Border Patrol give them wisdom during these difficult times. Continue to give wisdom to the border states on what they can do in their own states to protect their citizens from dangerous people that could be crossing the border. In Jesus name amen.

Who has made His counsel wonderful and His wisdom great.” (Isaiah 28:29)

No Americans Have Been Rescued Outside of Kabul: Pentagon
|
|
|
U.S. troops have not rescued any Americans in Afghanistan outside of Kabul, though they have the capability to do so, the Pentagon said Wednesday.
Only three rescue missions have been conducted by American soldiers since the Taliban took over the country, according to military officials. But all three took place within Kabul, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters in Washington.
“Could it be done outside Kabul, if needed? We have the capability,” he said.
“I’m not suggesting that it would be well outside of Kabul. I’m not suggesting that it would be throughout the whole countryside,” he added later. “When I said ‘outside Kabul,’ I’m talking about relatively close by. I don’t want to set the expectation that we’re going to be able to fly all over the country to pick up people.”
The reason why that distance is so small is because the focus of the mission is on protecting the Hamid Karzai International Airport, where flights are departing regularly with Afghans, Americans, and others, Kirby said.
Asked if the United States could help an American couple who is reportedly in Mazar-e-Sharife, he answered bluntly, “No.”
So far, three missions have been conducted, including one to the Baron Hotel to rescue a group of 169 people who were struggling to make it to the airport. All three have been “a short duration and a short distance,” according to Kirby.
Approximately 1,500 Americans remain in Afghanistan, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced shortly before Kirby answered questions from reporters. U.S. officials have repeatedly said that they expect to be able to evacuate every American who wants to leave the country by an Aug. 31 deadline that President Joe Biden imposed.
- Father God, we continue to bow before you, prophetically in sackcloth and ashes, in repentance for these wicked deeds now being carried out by our nation.
Lord God, spare Your people, we pray, and save our nation. We ask in Your name, amen and amen.
- "When Mordecai learned of all that had happened, he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the middle of the city, wailing loudly and bitterly." (Esther 4:1)

With Afghan government falling, Pentagon deciding what to do with money for security forces
|
|
|
The Pentagon is determining what it should do with billions intended for the Afghan armed forces. Congress appropriated over $3 billion for the Afghan Security Forces Fund in fiscal year 2021. But with the rapid collapse of Afghanistan to the Taliban, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said any remaining funds are on hold. The Defense Department is now working closely with Congress to determine what to do with the money. Lawmakers will also have to consider what to do with $3.3 billion DoD had requested for the fund in fiscal year 2022. (Read more, including other budget
allocations under consideration, by going here.)

The 5 US skyscrapers that get struck by lightning most often
|
|
They say that lightning never strikes twice, but meteorologists and photographers know that it does, especially regarding tall buildings.
With lightning strike data compiled by the Finland-based company Vaisala, which tracks global lightning strikes, among other weather data, AccuWeather has discovered which skyscrapers in the United States have been struck the most over the last five years.
By a wide margin, three skyscrapers in the East stood out for repeated lightning strikes between the years 2015 and 2020. At 1,776 feet tall, the tallest building in the U.S., One World Trade Center in New York City, was struck 189 times between 2015 and 2020, but it wasn’t the most frequently hit building in the nation.
The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey blog explains how the lightning arrestor technology, which protects the inside of the building, works. “One WTC is a super-sized Faraday cage that distributes electrical current around the outside of the tower, with none of it passing through the interior space of the building. The current discharges into the bedrock below the tower and dissipates into the earth.” Read More

High schooler asks his friend with Down syndrome to prom, pair are voted ‘cutest couple’
|
|
When a high-school lacrosse player asked his friend, who has Down syndrome, to the senior prom, she made his day by saying yes. The pair’s beautiful friendship was celebrated by their classmates, who voted them “Cutest Couple” on the night.
On prom night, the adorable couple took photos outside Shayli’s home and then Hunter’s, with friends and family. One of Shayli’s teachers gave her a tiara, and her mother helped perfect her makeup and hair. “Everybody keeps saying she looked like a princess,” said her mother, Ragas, “but I know that’s how she felt.”
“We look at people that are, I’d say, ‘different than we are’ and sometimes we get intimidated, just out of ignorance,” Ragas said. “We don’t know what to do, what to say, how to act.
“I just look at Shayli’s friends. I look at Hunter, Declan, and how they just treat her like they would any other friend. They care for her, they love her. I think that’s the message: just treat everybody with kindness and treat everybody with that same care.” (The Epoch Times) Read more.

40 Days of Prayer
IDOLATERS | DAY 14
This is day fourteen in our journey. Join us even if you are beginning today. Each day starting Saturday August 7 we have posted a sin which the Lord would have us confess and remove through personal repentance. God willing, these 40 days will lead us to the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur September 15.
Today the sin is an abomination to the Lord found in Revelation 21:8- idolators.
There's a SPIRITUAL DROUGHT in every nation on the planet. We are not yet honoring the Authority of the Risen Christ that He revealed in Matthew 28:18: " ALL authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth."

Does Jesus Care?
To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE
Words: Frank Graeff
Music: Lincoln Hall
Scripture: Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7
Lyrics:
Does Jesus care when my heart is pained
Too deeply for mirth or song,
As the burdens press, and the cares distress
And the way grows weary and long?
Refrain
Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares.
Does Jesus care when my way is dark
With a nameless dread and fear?
As the daylight fades into deep night shades,
Does He care enough to be near?
Refrain
Does Jesus care when I’ve tried and failed
To resist some temptation strong;
When for my deep grief there is no relief,
Though my tears flow all the night long?
Refrain
Does Jesus care when I’ve said goodbye
To the dearest on earth to me,
And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks,
Is it aught to Him? Does He see?
Refrain
