1. Iranian protester speaks to Israeli station i24News, risks his life - Jerusalem Post

An unnamed Iranian protester spoke to i24news on Thursday, describing the political and security situation in Iran, as well as providing his perception on the current events that have shaken the country.

The protester was required to cover his face and identity, in fear of potential severe repercussions associated with speaking to Israeli media, including imprisonment, torture and death. He noted that speaking to Israeli media might result in "being arrested by the Basij [IRGC paramilitary forces]", clarifying that he knows "that the regime intends to identify protesters by closed-circuit [security] cameras."

He added that the regime has been "dispersing the people [protesters] at any price: by shooting tear gas, by beating up people, by creating mayhem and terror."

i24 also asked the protester about the level of popular support for former IRGC Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani, who was killed in an American airstrike earlier this month. He responded that, "the Iranian people regarded Soleimani as a terrorist and criminal because he plundered the people's wealth, [and] in suppressing [the demonstrations in] November, [where] he had a leading role.

2. Hundreds of Muslim Arab worshipers riot on Temple Mount in Jerusalem - Israel National News

Several hundred Arab worshipers finishing Friday morning prayers on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem began rioting and disturbing public order.

As the prayers - in which 8,000 Muslim Arabs participated - ended, the rioters began marching, calling out nationalistic slogans and violating public order.

In response, the district commander of the police ordered that they be dispersed, and police forces were called to the area and dispersed the rioters.

"The Israeli police will not allow violations of public order in the Temple Mount area, and will work to prevent any riots or calls of a nationalistic background," the Israel Police said.

3. Bennett orders 'radical' left-wing activists banned from West Bank - Times Of Israel

Defense Minister Naftali Bennett on Saturday ordered security forces to issue restraining orders barring members of a left-wing activist group from the West Bank.

Bennett accused Anarchists Against the Wall, an anti-Zionist group founded in 2003 to protest Israel's security barrier in the West Bank, of initiating "violent provocations" each week in a number of Palestinian villages including Bil'in, Na'alin, and Nabi Saleh. He said that according to information he was shown, including by disabled IDF veterans, the alleged violence was aimed at hurting Israeli soldiers, damaging property and causing "serious public relations damage" to Israel across the globe.

"Orders of this type have so far only been issued in the Jewish public against price-tag activists and will now also be directed against anarchist activists on the left," a statement from his office said.

4. Jordanians protest gas deal with Israel - Israel Hayom

Hundreds of Jordanians demonstrated in downtown Amman on Friday, calling on the government to cancel an agreement in which Israel began pumping natural gas to the kingdom this year.

Jordanian security forces prevented the protesters from reaching symbolic Al-Nakheel Square in the capital, where the turnout had been expected to grow larger. Earlier this month, Jordan's National Electric Power Co., said gas pumping had started as part of a multi-billion-dollar deal with Texas-based Noble Energy aimed at lowering the cost of power in the energy-poor kingdom.

Noble Energy and Israel's Delek Group are, among others, partners in the newly operational Leviathan gas field off Israel's Mediterranean coast. In a statement then, NEPCO said importing the gas from Israel was "the last option" after supplies of Egyptian gas came to an end after its pipeline was repeatedly targeted by Islamic State-affiliated militants in Sinai. NEPCO said Israel was "the only available source."

5. Israeli FM, US top diplomat urge more countries to blacklist Hezbollah entirely - Times Of Israel

Foreign Minister Israel Katz and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo issued separate remarks on Saturday calling on more countries to add Lebanon's entire Hezbollah movement to their terror blacklists after the UK announced that it did so this week.

Britain's finance ministry said on Friday that it added Hezbollah's political wing to its list of terrorist groups subject to asset freezing. The ministry previously only targeted the Shiite organization's military wing but has now listed the whole group after the government designated it a terrorist organization last March.

The change requires any individual or institution in Britain with accounts or financial services connected to Hezbollah to suspend them or face prosecution.

1. Isolated Iran leader lashes out at Europe as nations join US in ramping up pressure - Fox News

Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Friday lashed out at Germany, the U.K. and France, calling them the "footmen of the U.S.," days after the European countries moved to sanction the Islamic Republic for violating the controversial 2015 nuclear deal. "The threat of the French & German govts & the vicious British govt to send Iran's case to the Security Council proved once again that they are the footmen of the US," Khamenei said on Twitter. "These 3 countries are the ones who helped [former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein] as much as they could in his war against us."

The three countries, which are members of the coalition that penned the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA) in 2015, on Tuesday had formally accused Iran of breaching the Obama-era nuclear deal, beginning a process that could result in the U.N. restoring sanctions on the rogue regime. "We do this in good faith with the overarching objective of preserving the JCPoA and in the sincere hope of finding a way forward to resolve the impasse through constructive diplomatic dialogue while preserving the agreement and remaining within its framework," the three countries' foreign ministers said in a statement. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray that the pressure the U.S, Germany, the U.K. and France is putting on Iran will hold Iran accountable for violating the 2015 nuclear deal. In the process, we pray they repent of their sins and turn to the Lord God for forgiveness and salvation of their people. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abides of old. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God." (Psalm 55:19)

2. Trump warns Khamenei to be 'careful with his words' following Tehran sermon - Times of Israel

US President Donald Trump on Friday mocked and warned Ayatollah Ali Khamenei after the Iranian supreme leader called him a "clown" earlier in the day as he addressed prayers in Tehran. "The so-called 'Supreme Leader' of Iran, who has not been so Supreme lately, had some nasty things to say about the United States and Europe," Trump wrote on Twitter, apparently referring to Khamenei's speech. "Their economy is crashing, and their people are suffering. He should be very careful with his words!" Trump said.

Trump followed up by writing in support of the Iranian people in response to an earlier tweet by Khamenei. "The noble people of Iran-who love America-deserve a government that's more interested in helping them achieve their dreams than killing them for demanding respect. Instead of leading Iran toward ruin, its leaders should abandon terror and Make Iran Great Again!" Trump wrote in English and Farsi. (Read more)

- Father in heaven, we pray that President Trump will stand firm on every word he addressed to Ayhaollah Ali Khamenei. God, we pray You remove the Iranian leader from power and he be replaced by a God-fearing leader of the people. God, save the Iranians who stand with America and President Trump. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"God shall send from heaven, and save the people from the reproach of him that would swallow them up. God shall send forth His mercy and His truth." ( Psalm 57:3)

3. Mike Pompeo Restores Strength to Donald Trump's State Department - Breitbart

President Donald Trump revealed last week the best possible news to the country bracing for the potentially devastating results of Iran's missile strikes on two military bases in Iraq. "We suffered no casualties," Trump said, surrounded by his foreign policy team at the White House.

When Trump's speech was finished, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo sent a letter to all department employees emphasizing the importance of the news. "I have no higher priority as Secretary of State than making sure that you and your families are safe as you carry out your vital mission," he wrote, according to a copy of the letter seen by Breitbart News. "We are closely monitoring the security situation at all our posts worldwide, every second of the day."

Pompeo succeeded where his predecessor Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had failed, protecting American diplomacy personnel at an increasingly dangerous time in the Middle East.

The president was clearly in command, and Pompeo moved quickly to not only execute his orders and defend the administration's decisions. (Read more)

- Father God, You see the crucial times we are facing and we pray you give Mr. Pompeo the necessary power to execute safety for all the families as they carry out this vital mission. We pray the State Department will be strengthened also by the hand of God. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

-"Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." (Ephesians 3:20)

4. Ignoring US Calls to Isolate Iran, Russia Supports Iran Joining Moscow-Beijing Security Bloc - CNSNews.com

Just days after the Iranian regime fired missiles at military bases in Iraq and accidentally shot down a Ukrainian passenger plane, Russia's foreign minister has reiterated that Moscow supports full membership for Tehran in a Eurasian security bloc sometimes viewed as an aspiring counterweight to NATO and the West.

Speaking at a geopolitics forum in New Delhi, Sergei Lavrov noted that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) includes China, five former Soviet republics (Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan), India, and Pakistan.

"Iran is an observer and we are supportive of the Iranian request for full membership," Lavrov said. "And most of the [SCO] countries support this request and I'm sure this would be satisfied." Russia holds the bloc's rotating presidency this year, and will host its annual summit in July. (Read more)

-Almighty God, as we see the dark clouds of evil lining up the nations who serve satan, it behoves us, as believers of God and prophecy, to pray as never before that the world will rally and seek Jesus to save their souls. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

"Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea." (Revelation 20:7-8)

5. Taliban open to 10-day ceasefire with U.S., talks with Afghan govt -sources - Reuters

The Taliban will implement a 10-day ceasefire with U.S. troops, a reduction in violence with Afghan forces and discussions with Afghan government officials if it reaches a deal with U.S. negotiators in talks in Doha, two sources have said. If an agreement is sealed, it could revive hopes for a long-term solution to the conflict in Afghanistan.

Taliban and U.S. negotiators met on Wednesday and Thursday to discuss the signing of a peace deal, according to a spokesman for the Taliban office in Qatar. The talks were "useful" and would continue for a few days, the spokesman, Suhail Shaheen, said on Twitter early on Friday.

U.S. President Donald Trump had called off the stop-start talks to end the 18-year war in September after a U.S. soldier was killed in an attack by the militant group. They resumed but were interrupted again in December after the Taliban launched a suicide attack on a U.S. base outside Kabul killing two civilians.

A senior Taliban commander said: "The U.S. wanted us to announce a ceasefire during the peace talks which we had rejected. Our shura (council) has agreed to a ceasefire the day the peace accord is signed." Once an agreement is in place, the Taliban and Afghan government could meet face to face in Germany, said the commander. Previously, the Taliban had refused to engage in talks with the Afghan government. (Read more)

-Almighty God, we place all the ceasefire talks in Your hands to negotiate a solid ceasefire agreement between the United States and Afghan officials. We bind the forces of evil off these meetings and bring about a peaceable settlement. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"Concerning the works of men, by the word of your lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer. Hold up my goings in Your paths, that my footsteps slip not." (Psalm 17:4-5)

6. Fox Host Bolton Says Trump Should Plaster This Chart 'Absolutely Everywhere' - Western Journal

Fox Business host Deirdre Bolton said Thursday on Fox Nation's "Deep Dive" that there's one chart the Trump administration should be plastering "absolutely everywhere." It's the one thing that Democrats are loath to admit: Things are actually pretty copacetic, economy-wise, under the current administration.

The chart in question shows the average unemployment rate for the first 35 months of a president's term. The highest average rate during the first 35 months of a term was 9.3 percent under Barack Obama.

During the first 35 months of Donald Trump term? A historically low 3.9 percent average unemployment rate, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. "If I were the Trump campaign, I would just be plastering that absolutely everywhere," Bolton said. (To view this chart, and to read the full track record of previous presidents, go here.)

- Father God, we pray that You will stand with President Trump with great power as he brings America out of a very dark and dismal future under Obama. Trump is winning, as Almighty God guides and directs him in all he does. Thank You, God. In the Name of Jesus.

-"I will praise you, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto You among the nations. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens: let Your glory be above all the earth." (Psalm 57:9,11)

7. Iraqi-Born Muslim, a Former Refugee, Launches Campaign to Unseat Ilhan Omar - CNSNews.com

Making waves on social media on Thursday: An Iraqi-American, Muslim, former refugee, and supporter of President Trump has launched a campaign to unseat Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) in November.

Dalia al-Aqidi, whose three-decade journalism career includes a stint as White House correspondent for the U.S.-government-funded Alhurra satellite network, posted online an announcement video introducing herself, and explaining her decision to take on Omar, who has frequently courted controversy since entering Congress in January 2018.

"We might seem nearly alike - both Muslims, both women, both refugees. But we couldn't be further apart," Aqidi says. "She spends her time in Congress sowing seeds of division, actively supporting our enemies."

"Where President Trump ended the murderous reign of [Iran's Qods Force commander] Qassem Soleimani, a vicious terrorist, killer of American soldiers and countless innocent civilians, Ilhan Omar was outraged, attacking the president, defending the terrorist, driving us further and further apart." (Read more)

-Father in heaven, we pray that You will set in place all the words, circumstances, encounters, and God-sent contacts to unseat Ilhan Omar immediately. Move her out and replace her with a Godly man/woman who will bring to the table righteousness and sound judgment. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"And this is the confidence that we have in Jesus, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him." (I John 5:14-115)

8. Fight over faithless electors hits high court - WND

The U.S. Supreme Court said Friday it will take a case on whether presidential electors are bound to support the popular vote winner in their states. The 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled a "faithless elector" who did not abide by Colorado law and vote for the candidate chosen by voters could not be punished. About 30 states require presidential electors to vote for the popular vote winner.

In the 2016 Colorado case, an elector attempted to cast his ballot for John Kasich, instead of Hillary Clinton, who had won Colorado's popular vote. Several others in other states defied their voters' wishes. The objective was to persuade enough electors in states won by Donald Trump to choose someone else and deny Trump the presidency.

"This 'faithless' presidential elector was removed under Colorado's faithless elector law and his replacement voted for Hillary Clinton. He later filed suit in federal court to challenge the constitutionality of Colorado's law," explained a friend-of-the-court brief filed by the Bopp law firm's team. The 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver ruled electors "must be given the freedom to vote their free will, even if their vote does not reflect the will of the people in that state."

The Associated Press reported there were a total of "10 faithless electors in 2016, including four in Washington, a Democratic elector in Hawaii and two Republican electors in Texas. In addition, Democratic electors who said they would not vote for Clinton were replaced in Maine and Minnesota." (Read more)

-Almighty God, we pray that the Court rule that electors must abide by the will of the people. We ask that our God guard every single vote and carry it through to victory. We bind the powers of darkness that would sway the honest vote toward the wrong candidate. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"For you were sometimes darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk as children of light." (Ephesians 5:8)

9. Northam declares state of emergency, imposes temporary gun ban for Capitol Square ahead of large rally - Richmond Times-Dispatch

Gov. Ralph Northam on Wednesday declared a state of emergency in Richmond ahead of a rally Monday that is expected to bring thousands of Second Amendment activists to Richmond. The state of emergency will be enforced Friday evening to Tuesday evening. It includes a firearms ban on Capitol Square, as well as a general ban on weapons that includes bats and knives.

Northam cited safety threats "similar to what has been seen before other major events such as Charlottesville," a reference to the deadly Unite the Right rally in August 2017 in which white nationalists clashed with counterprotesters and one woman was killed and more than 30 people were injured in a car attack.

"These are considered credible, serious threats by our law enforcement agencies," Northam said, citing claims that "armed militia groups" plan on "storming our Capitol" and "weaponizing drones."

Monday's rally is being organized by the Virginia Citizens Defense League, which says it expects as many as 50,000 people to arrive on the steps of the Capitol to protest gun control legislation Democratic lawmakers are proposing. (Read more)

- Father God, we ask today for a move of divine intervention to fall upon the streets of Richmond, VA. We speak SHALOM in the name of Jesus, amen.

"These are the things you must do: Speak truth to one another, render true and sound decisions in your gates, do not plot evil in your hearts against your neighbor, and do not love to swear falsely, for I hate all these things," declares the LORD." (Zech. 8:16,17)

10a. Record Number of Pro-Lifers Join Marches to Kick off 2020 - Christian Headlines

As abortion has come into sharp focus during the 2020 election cycle, pro-lifers have come out in heavy numbers to kick off the year. In Colorado, thousands attended the "Celebrate Life" march to rally against late-term abortions, according to Faithwire. A new measure in the state, called "Initiative 120," proposes that medical professionals who perform an abortion after 22 weeks-unless the mother's life is at risk-could lose their license for at least three years.

To the northeast, approximately 9,000 people appeared in Chicago to protest their beliefs in the "March for Life Chicago." In 2014, only 1,000 showed to the event. This year's theme was "Life empowers: Pro-life is Pro-Woman."

"There's more people in Illinois and the Midwest who recognize the urgency of this," said March for Life president Dawn Fitzpatrick. "We recognize that there's a human being that's created from the moment of conception."

Democrat U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski was one of the speakers in Chicago, according to The Chicago Tribune. "Every January, I am proud to brave the cold and join the March for Life Chicago," he said. "As a member of Congress, I work to protect the most vulnerable, and no one is more vulnerable than the child in the womb and that child's mother."

Lipinski recently signed an amicus brief requesting that the U.S. Supreme Court revisit and overturn Roe v. Wade. (Read more)

10b. March for Life reveals theme for 2020 DC rally is 'Life Empowers: Pro-life is pro-woman' - Christian Post

The theme for next year's March for Life, the largest annual pro-life rally in the United States, will be centered on historic female empowerment.

In an announcement made Tuesday, the March for Life organization explained that the theme of "Life Empowers: Pro-life is pro-woman" came from 2020 marking 100 years since the passage of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote.

"As we celebrate this great moment in history, we remember and honor the suffragists, the original feminist leaders who recognized the inherent dignity of the unborn and that abortion not only ended a life but harmed women," the March for Life said on Instagram.

"The pro-life movement continues their legacy, recognizing that equal rights begin in the womb. That, in essence, is why we march. We march to end abortion, with the vision of a world where the beauty, dignity, uniqueness, and rights of every human life are valued and protected."

The 47th annual March for Life is scheduled to take place on Friday, Jan. 24, 2020, at National Mall in Washington, D.C. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we are so very thankful for the Pro-Lifers who have gathered to march for the innocent unborn babies' lives, and to vote against Roe v. Wade. God, we pray that Your hand cut this case to shreds so that it never again be used to support abortion. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

"You are they which justify yourselves before men: but God knows your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed before men (abortion) is an abomination in the sight of God." (Luke 16:15)

The new impeachment bombshell

One of the most biased media along with CNN regarding impeaching the president (translated: coup) is Associated Press. It is amazing how this "news" organization twists words and what it considers facts into a diatribe for impeachment. The latest is a story about an associate of President Trump's attorney, Rudy Giuliani, providing new information proving that Trump delivered an ultimatum to the Ukraine President if an investigation into Joe Biden wasn't pursued. The story acts as if this is the silver bullet that will bring down the Trump presidency once and for all. It's also the pre-Senate trial "bombshell" that the Democratic coup-makers promised would turn the impeachment trial on end. It's a fake news dud.

AP reports: "A close associate of President Donald Trump's personal lawyer says he delivered an ultimatum in May to the incoming president of Ukraine that no senior U.S. officials would attend his inauguration and all American aid to the war-torn country would be withheld if an investigation into Joe Biden wasn't announced. Lev Parnas, an associate of Rudy Giuliani, made several potentially explosive claims in a televised interview Wednesday night with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow. The day after Parnas said he delivered the message, the State Department announced that Vice President Mike Pence would no longer be attending the inauguration of Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelenskiy."

Buried in the story is this: "President Trump knew exactly what was going on," said Parnas, a Soviet-born Florida businessman facing a raft of criminal charges related to campaign finance violations. "He was aware of all my movements. I wouldn't do anything without the consent of Rudy Giuliani, or the President." If true, Parnas' account undercuts a key Republican defense of Trump deployed during the ongoing impeachment fight - that Trump's withholding of vital military aid to Ukraine last summer wasn't a quid pro quo for Biden investigations because Zelenskiy didn't know the money was being held up." Key is that this guy, Parnas, is a "Soviet-born Florida businessman facing a raft of criminal charges related to campaign finance violations." And then AP couches its sensational veracity with a qualifier, "If true . . ." Credibility?

This is an outrageous attempt to "fake" the American people into believing just one more terrible account of an ultimatum by the president against Joe Biden. But let's pause for a second and gather some discernment. First, the investigation was about Biden's son, not Joe Biden. Second, there is nothing illegal about a president withholding aid or not sending a representative to the inauguration of a foreign dignitary. Third, the aid was not unreasonably withheld; it was given. Fourth, the media is quoting a "Soviet" born source with criminal charges as credible. This story is as flimsy as the impeachment and is more the same. As in Hebrews 5:14, be a person who seeks strong meat "who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." In this, you will recognize those who deceive with misdirection and vain words.

There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided-
"Great is Thy faithfulness," Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
