Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Trump Signs COVID Relief Bill – Newsmax
President Donald Trump on Sunday signed the massive COVID-19 relief bill that he had long refused to sign. The White House issued a statement that it has secured a promise from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to hold a standalone vote for $2,000 per person relief checks Trump had been pushing for, over the $600 that is in the bill.
The statement also said the Senate will consider legislation to repeal "Section 230" of the Communications Act that gives immunity to social media publishers. It also said the Senate would conduct investigations into voter fraud.
Trump earlier tweeted "Good news on Covid Relief Bill. Information to follow!" but did not give further details as millions of Americans struggling through the pandemic faced the loss of unemployment benefits. For nearly a week, Trump has refused to sign the $900 billion relief package approved overwhelmingly by Congress following months of negotiation, calling it a "disgrace."
Two federal unemployment benefit programs approved in March as part of an initial COVID relief plan expired at midnight on Saturday, cutting off an estimated 12 million Americans, according to The Century Foundation think tank.
The delay also threatened to provoke a government shutdown by Tuesday since the relief package is part of a larger spending bill, though lawmakers could approve another temporary extension to keep the government open. The relief package, passed by Congress on December 21, would extend those benefits as well as others set to expire in the days ahead.

Abba, we thank you for this answer to prayer! Thank you that Trump took a stand on this relief bill to get more of the money directly to the American people who have suffered so much during this pandemic. Thank you that the bill is going through!
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
Focus on Israel
1. Israel enters 3rd lockdown; commercial activity shuts down, schools remain open - Times of Israel
Israel on Sunday evening entered its third national lockdown since the start of the pandemic to beat back a resurgence of COVID-19.
The lockdown began at 5 p.m. Sunday evening. Although declared to be two weeks with an option to extend, health officials have already warned it will likely go on for a month. Daily virus cases in Israel have been climbing upward in recent weeks, surpassing 3,000 on most days over the past week.
The lockdown rules bar Israelis from entering another person’s home; restrict movement to one kilometer (six-tenths of a mile) from home, with exceptions, such as for vaccinations; shut down commerce (except for essentials), leisure and entertainment; limit public transportation to 50% capacity; and limit workplaces that do not deal with customers face-to-face to 50% capacity. Fines for violators stand at NIS 500 ($155).

2. Naftali Bennett: Lockdown is political and unnecessary - Israel National News
MK Naftali Bennett, the head of the right-wing Yamina party who recently announced his bid for the premiership, has attacked the unity government, headed by Prime Minister Netanyahu, for the imposition of a third nationwide lockdown, which, he says, could have been avoided if the county had effective leadership.
“Things didn’t have to be this way,” Bennett said. “Millions of Israeli citizens are now going into a political lockdown, simply because the Netanyahu government placed political considerations above all else.
“We need change here,” he continued. “We need to set all our disputes aside and get a grip on this epidemic – we need to rehabilitate the economy – and we need to unite the country.”

3. IDF spokesperson: Iranian retaliation likely to come from Iraq, Yemen - Jerusalem Post
Israel is monitoring Tehran’s movement in the region and expects that an Iranian attack could come from Iraq and Yemen, IDF Spokesman Brig.-Gen. Hidai Zilberman told the Saudi news website Elaph.
In an interview published on Friday, Zilberman addressed Iran and the tactics deployed by the IDF in order to respond to the threat, which he said is likely to arise from Iraq and Yemen.
Zilberman referred to Iraq and Yemen as Iran’s second circle after Lebanon and Syria, considered the first circle in its proxy conflict with Israel, and said that Israel has been monitoring the situation in both countries closely.
He noted that Iran has developed a wide range of capabilities in the area – and specifically in Iraq and Yemen – that include advanced drones and remote-guided missiles, which they manage to operate without detection, indicating “a great Iranian ability in this area.”
He stressed that everyone should be on high alert regarding the Iranian threat, which he described as a “powder keg liable to explode,” considering the many blows Iran has received in the past year without being able to properly respond.

4. Israel Air Force planes attack Gaza Hamas targets in response to rocket fire - Israel National News
Aircraft and fighter jets attacked targets belonging to the Hamas Islamic organization in the Gaza Strip, the IDF Spokesman said. The planes attacked a weapons production site, underground infrastructure, and a military position.
The attack was carried out in response to rocket fire from the south earlier on Friday evening, when air defense fighters intercepted two launches aimed at Ashkelon.
The IDF said "the IDF takes all terror activity against Israel very seriously and is prepared and willing to act as resolutely as necessary, against attempts to harm Israeli citizens and its sovereignty. The Hamas terror organization bears responsibility for what happens in and out of the Gaza Strip, and it will bear the consequences of the terror acts against the citizens of Israel."

5. Netanyahu Asking Court to Dismiss All 3 Criminal Indictments Against Him - Jewish Press
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday asked the Jerusalem District Court to dismiss the indictments against him in all three cases in which he is being charged – 1,000, 2,000 and 4,000, Israel Hayom reported.
The Prime Minister’s reason for dismissing the indictment: the investigations against him had begun before Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit gave his permission to open an investigation, in violation of Basic Law: Government.
It should be noted that there’s not even a slim chance the court will consider this request seriously, and may end up rebuking the defendant for using delaying tactics, seeing as it is based entirely on the difference between the written and oral approval of the AG to the investigation.

1.FBI, ATF Police Raid Nashville House Linked to Christmas Day RV Bombing – The Epoch Times
The FBI and ATF police on Saturday raided a house located in a Nashville suburb linked to the Nashville downtown RV bombing that happened on Christmas day morning.
The home of interest is located on Bakertown Road in Antioch—a neighborhood approximately 12 miles southeast of Nashville, Tenn.
Various videos show that several federal and local agencies, including the FBI, ATF police, and Metro Nashville Police Department joined the raid.
FBI Public Affairs Officer Darrell DeBusk told reporters on the scene that information developed during the course of the investigation had led the authorities to the home.
DeBusk said no one is in custody for now.
--Father, we trust You to guide all who investigate the cause of this explosion and gather all the information needed to solve this case. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
--"For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land." Psalm 35:20
2. Supreme Court in no hurry to hear Trump campaign case, sets response deadline two days after inauguration - Fox News
The justices this week set a reply deadline for Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar and the other respondents named in the case of Jan. 22. The campaign had asked for the Supreme Court to order those on the other side of the litigation to respond by Wednesday and have reply briefs from the Trump campaign submitted by Thursday. It also asked the court to rule by Jan. 6. But the court did not oblige.
This means that by the time Boockvar and the others the Trump campaign is seeking to take to the Supreme Court even respond to the petition, President-elect Joe Biden will already be sworn in.
--Almighty God, we pray You will bind under the Blood of Jesus all the demonic activity involved in the warfare surrounding President Trump and him being named as our President for the next four years. In the powerful Name of Jesus we pray.
--"Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my (President Trump's) hurt." Psalm 35:4
3. Trump doubles down $2,000 coronavirus check demand - Fox News
President Trump doubled down on his demand Friday for increased coronavirus-related stimulus checks to working-class Americans. Trump again tweeted his demand for $2,000 checks rather than the $600 proposed in the mammoth spending bill approved by Congress earlier this week.
"Made many calls and had meetings at Trump International in Palm Beach, Florida. Why would politicians not want to give people $2000, rather than only $600? It wasn’t their fault, it was China," the president wrote on Twitter. "Give our people the money!"
Trump and other critics of the bill have deemed the bill 5,500 pages of pork-barrel spending rather than an earnest attempt to help struggling Americans beset by gubernatorial economic lockdowns and the overall drop in commerce ushered in by the pandemic. "It’s called the Covid relief bill but it has almost nothing to do with Covid," the president said Thursday, going on to point to a provision in the bill that would triple the $600 check for family members of illegal aliens -- to $1,800: "This is far more than the Americans are given," he said.

--Almighty God, we pray Your power will break all the Democrats' evil works that they fall to the ground and die. Rise up, Oh God, and shut them down. Strengthen President Trump's attempts to give the people the $2,000. God, show the world Your might in raising up the righteous and defeat the ungodly. In Jesus' Name we pray.
--"The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." Psalm 34:17
4. GOP seeks to avoid messy Trump fight over Electoral College - The Hill
Senate Republicans say Majority Leader (R-Ky.) will reach out to Sen.-elect Tommy Tuberville (Ala.) in an attempt to avoid a messy floor fight next month over finalizing the results of the Electoral College vote. Senate Republican Whip, John Thune, (S.D.) said GOP leaders will tell Tuberville that voting to suspend the tally of the Electoral College vote next month will be a futile — and politically damaging — move.
“Ultimately every senator will have to make their own decision about that but I think there will be people, yeah, reaching out him just to kind of find out” what he’s going to do, Thune said of Tuberville’s intentions about the Electoral College tally on Jan. 6. “If nothing else, we need to kind of know the plan,” he added. “We’ll see. He’s made some public statements” about objecting to the vote. “I’m hoping in the end that all senators will conclude that this election needs to be over with and it’s time to move on,” he said.
--Father God, we pray for myriads of warfare angels be dispatched to be sent to earth and defeat all the wickedness that stands against the true Electoral College vote. Lord, set a holy fire in the midst of the Democrats and burn up all their unrighteous plans. Speak godly life into President Trump and raise him to the God-called position of President for the next four years. In Jesus' holy Name we pray.
--"Our soul waits for the Lord: He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy Name." Psalm 33:20-21
5. Rep.-Elect Boebert Joins House Members Who Will Object to Electors on Jan. 6 - The Epoch Times
Congresswoman-elect Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) made an official announcement on Thursday that on behalf of her constituents she will object to Electoral College results in the Jan. 6 joint session of Congress. “Guided by the US Constitution and my responsibility to my constituents, I will object to the Electoral College results on January 6th,” wrote Boebert in a Twitter post.
Boebert was criticized for the post by a news analyst and writer who accused the freshman congresswoman of “bombastic symbolic acts” to further her congressional career. Boebert responded, “Newsflash: I’m not here to make a career for myself. I’m here to save our country from socialists.”
--Heavenly Father, we pray You close off the effects of Ms. Boebert's objection to the Electoral College results on Jan. 6. Make her vote moot, as though she had not participated. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
--"The Lord redeems the soul of His servants: and none of them that trust in Him shall be desolate." Psalm 34:22
6. U.S. will require negative COVID-19 tests for all UK passengers - CDC - Reuters
The U.S. government will require all airline passengers arriving from the United Kingdom to test negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours of departure starting Monday amid concerns about a new coronavirus variant that may be more transmissible.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said in a statement on Thursday that all airline passengers arriving from the UK must test negative in order to fly to the United States. The decision was a turnaround after the Trump administration told U.S. airlines on Tuesday it was not planning to require any testing for arriving UK passengers. The CDC said an order would be signed on Friday and is effective Monday.
The decision follows the emergence of a highly infectious new coronavirus variant in Britain that has prompted many countries to shut their borders to travelers from there. A representative from the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) said on Friday that they are "in close contact with the U.S. authorities and are working urgently to minimise disruption as far as possible," adding that FCDO will regularly update advice online. "British travellers should follow the U.S. authorities’ guidance, and speak to their airlines for the latest travel options in the first instance."
On Thursday, United Airlines and Delta Air Lines said they were requiring all passengers on flights from the United Kingdom to the United States to present a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of departure. The CDC said late on Thursday passengers must test negative via either a PCR or Antigen test. The CDC said "viruses constantly change through mutation, and preliminary analysis in the UK suggests that this new variant may be up to 70% more transmissible than previously circulating variants."

7. Biden: ‘Our Darkest Days in the Battle Against COVID are Ahead of Us, Not Behind Us’ - CNSNews.com
“Our darkest days in the battle against COVID are ahead of us,” apparent President-Elect Joe Biden promised Americans on Tuesday during a press conference in Wilmington, Delaware. Biden called his prediction “the simple truth”: “One thing I promise you about my leadership during this crisis: I’m going to tell it to you straight. I’m going to tell you the truth. And, here’s the simple truth: our darkest days in the battle against COVID are ahead of us, not behind us.”
Even though he has “absolute confidence” in the new COVID-19 vaccine, it won’t stop things from getting worse before they get better, Biden said: “Experts say things are going to get worse before they get better, notwithstanding the fact that we have the vaccine. “As you all know, we’re averaging a death rate of close to three thousand people a day. That means that we’ll lose tens of thousands of more lives in the months to come. And, the vaccine won’t be able to stop that, so we’ll still have to remain vigilant.”
Biden said he’s received one shot of the vaccine and plans to get a second, even though “We’re in short supply” when it comes to administering the vaccine to the public: “We all have to care enough for each other that we have to stay apart just a little bit longer. I know it’s hard. We have a long way to go. But, we’re all grateful that we’ve got the vaccine. And, yesterday, in an effort to instill some confidence in the vaccine, I had my shot administered in public.”
--Father God, we pray You close the mouths of the lions who want to devour the people with the darkest fears. Send lightening from heaven and strike these elements rendering them powerless. In Jesus' Name we pray.
--"You are of your father the devil and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it." John 8:44
8. Ayatollah on Looming Soleimani Death Anniversary: ‘Revenge Will Certainly Be Taken At The Right Time’ - CNSNews.com
Preparing to mark the first anniversary in 18 days’ time of the death of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Qods Force commander Qassem Soleimani, Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei reiterated on Wednesday that his blood will be avenged, “at the right time.” . . .“Revenge will be taken on those who ordered the murder and those who carried it out, and this revenge will certainly be taken at the right time,” Khamenei said during a meeting in Tehran with relatives of Soleimani and organizers of a memorial event being planned for the anniversary.
He said some people have said that Soleimani’s shoe “is more valuable than the head of his murderer, and that even if his murderers are killed that would be nothing.” Nonetheless, “they have done something and they should pay for it, both the perpetrators and … the masterminds. They should know that at any time possible we will take revenge on them. At the right time, we will take revenge on them.”
President Trump ordered the drone strike that killed Soleimani as he traveled in a vehicle near Baghdad international airport in Iraq on January 3 this year. Killed with him was Abu Mahdi al Muhandis, a senior leader in Kata’ib Hezbollah (KH), a leading Iran-backed Iraqi Shi’ite militia and, like the IRGC, a U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organization.
In his subsequent State of the Union address, Trump described the slain general as “the Iranian regime’s most ruthless butcher” and “the world’s top terrorist.”
--Almighty God, we pray the Ayatollah's revenge be restricted from all retaliation. Since this Iranian was the world's top terrorist and the murderer of millions, we ask that the eyes of all the blind observers be opened to the truth of his dastardly deeds and find repentance of their own souls. In Jesus' Name we pray.
--"The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted." Psalm 12:8
9. Black Activists Praise Trump's Policies: 'Black Americans Lead the Employment Gains,' Opposite of Obama Years - CNSNews.com
Given the latest employment numbers as reported for November, black activists with Project 21 applauded the Trump administration "for policies that have brought back jobs -- particularly in black communities -- after businesses were devastated earlier this year by COVID-19 lockdowns," said the organization in a press release.
“The news just keeps getting better," said Project 21 Co-Chairman Horace Cooper. "The free-market policies of President Trump have lowered the unemployment rate at the fastest level in history! The jobless rate dropping from nearly 15% to under 7% in less than a year is stunning. . . Incredibly, the unemployment rate is now lower than it was during Obama’s entire first term," said Cooper. "Notably, black Americans lead the employment gains – the exact opposite of the experience of the Obama years.”
Project 21: Black Leadership Network is a division of the National Center for Public Policy Research, which is a research organization devoted to "the principles of a free market, individual liberty and personal responsibility."
Project 21 noted that the U.S. workforce added 245,000 new jobs in November, "making it the 7th straight month of declining unemployment since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns."

10. Astronauts beam Christmas message of hope to Earth from aboard International Space Station - CBS News
Seven astronauts are celebrating the holiday season aboard the International Space Station, but that isn't stopping them from beaming some holiday cheer back to Earth. The Expedition 64 crew members are taking the day off, but NASA astronauts Mike Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker and Kate Rubins, and Japanese space program astronaut Soichi Noguchi still took some time to send a message of "resilience" back home during a particularly difficult holiday season.
"Resilience" is also the name they gave to the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule that launched four of the astronauts to the space station last month. "We selected that name in tribute to people around the world and to the teams that help make our mission possible during a year that changed all our lives," Hopkins said. "We'd also like to remember everyone we've lost this year. There couldn't be a more fitting name to describe 2020," Glover added. "The resilience of the human spirit is something that we can truly celebrate in this special season."
"As we prepare to observe the holidays far away from our loved ones, we look down at our precious planet, and it becomes clear how connected we really are," Walker said.

The Lesson of the Communist Pig Milk
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, Wednesday December 23, 2020
There is a prevailing mindset among politicians in America that the government must provide everything for everybody, except those who are culturally cancelled. Take for instance the most recent COVID relief bill—5,593 action packed pages of pork, most of which doesn’t have anything to do with COVID, and everything to do with an uninterrupted flow of breastmilk from what has become a growing communist pig. Yes, not communist in the sense of secret killings, concentration camps, a one-party system and jack-boot tyranny, but communist in the form of soft tyranny, group think, mass propagandization, and little by little the “free” government sustenance as provided by wealth redistribution.
Congress passed a $600 payment relief for Americans, and sent millions overseas in foreign aid. President Trump said that was an insult to the American people and suggested an increase in relief to $2,000. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) jumped on the idea to spend more money, saying she could get that extra $1,400, tweeting: “Democrats are ready to bring this to the Floor this week by unanimous consent. Let’s do it!” Unanimous consent is politician-speak for not taking a recorded vote—everybody just says “aye” or “nay” and the “aye’s” have it even if the “nay’s” are louder—kind of like what the democrats did for the presidential election.
With the national debt soaring toward $28 TRILLION with each taxpayer’s share over $220,000, ‘gotta wonder where all this COVID and other money is coming from? Chinese payoffs—no that goes directly into the Biden family trust; Russian payoffs? No, that all goes into the Clinton Foundation and the Bide family trust--—just kidding, I think. No, really someday it will all catch up with us, like it did when President Reagan drove the Soviet Union into bankruptcy in the arms race. The Soviet Union collapsed financially and there wasn’t much left of its social infrastructure to remain a nation. These communists in Congress are spending our tax dollars as if there is no end to them. And they are locking down our businesses due to COVID. Sure, it makes great sense to exchange our business or job for $2,000.
As is said in Jeremiah 6:14, “They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.” Take heed. Do not be deceived. America is on a bad track and you and I need to pray and act. Sometime, somebody has to pay up. The politicians make us feel good by voting more of our money to go somewhere. Pelosi, the head sow, is giddy. “Icing on the cake,” she probably thinks. When it’s really lipstick on the pig. Sucking the teat of the communist pig is dangerous for all Americans because that pig is growing bigger and stronger as it robs the piglets of their ability to grow up and be healthy. The communist pig gives a little milk while hogging the entire manger from its litter. And sometimes she just rolls over and smashes her piglets.

Words and Music: Traditional
God rest ye merry, gentlemen,
Let nothing you dismay,
Remember Christ our Savior
Was born on Christmas Day;
To save us all from Satan’s power
When we were gone astray.
Refrain
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy;
O tidings of comfort and joy
In Bethlehem, in Israel,
This blessèd Babe was born,
And laid within a manger
Upon this blessèd morn;
The which His mother Mary
Did nothing take in scorn..
Refrain
From God our heavenly Father
A blessèd angel came;
And unto certain shepherds
Brought tidings of the same;
How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by name.
Refrain
Fear not, then, said the angel,
Let nothing you affright
This day is born a Savior
Of a pure Virgin bright,
To free all those who trust in Him
From Satan’s power and might.
Refrain
The shepherds at those tidings
Rejoicèd much in mind,
And left their flocks a-feeding
In tempest, storm and wind,
And went to Bethl’em straightaway
This blessèd Babe to find.
Refrain
But when to Bethlehem they came
Where our dear Savior lay,
They found Him in a manger
Where oxen feed on hay;
His mother Mary kneeling
Unto the Lord did pray.
Refrain
Now to the Lord sing praises
All you within this place,
And with true love and brotherhood
Each other now embrace;
This holy tide of Christmas
All others doth deface.
Refrain
God bless the ruler of this house,
And send him long to reign,
And many a merry Christmas
May live to see again;
Among your friends and kindred
That live both far and near—
That God send you a happy new year,
Happy new year,
And God send you a happy new year.
