First US Case of Strain of New Coronavirus Variant
Confirmed in Colorado - Washington Examiner

Colorado officials confirmed the first known case in the United States of the new coronavirus mutation that has spread rapidly across the United Kingdom.

“The individual is recovering in isolation and will remain there until cleared by public health officials,” Colorado Gov. Jared Polis said Tuesday, adding that the patient “has no close contacts identified so far but public health officials are working to identify other potential cases and contacts through thorough contact tracing interviews.”

State public health officials said the patient is a male in his 20s who has not traveled recently to a place where he may have been exposed to the mutated virus, which is thought to be more contagious. The renewed outbreak in the U.K. prompted roughly 40 countries to block entry to travelers from Britain.

“There is a lot we don’t know about this new COVID-19 variant, but scientists in the United Kingdom are warning the world that it is significantly more contagious,” Polis said. Read more

- Abba, thank You that your perfect love casts out ALL FEAR. Thank you that we can dwell in the secret place of the Most High, and that under your wings we can take refuge. Thank you that you promise to deliver us from the perilous pestilence (Psalm 91: 1-3) We stand protected and hidden in you, Yeshua, and in your Word!

“And these signs will follow those who believe: “They will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Focus on Israel

1. Sami al-Arian Renews Calls for Israel’s Destruction at Turkish Conference - Algemeiner

Two weeks ago, al-Arian appeared from Istanbul before a virtual audience and also made his radical ideology clear, albeit in softer, more academic language.
The global Muslim community, or ummah, cannot realize its full potential without “defeating and dismantling the Zionist project,” he said during a December 18 panel discussion in Turkey.

“We cannot pursue an ummah project without actually attaining our real independence. We cannot attain our real independence without dealing with the problem of Israel,” Al-Arian said, adding that “as long as Israel exists, the ummah will stay weak and fragmented, and disunited and divided and dependent and under control.”

2. 1 killed, 3 injured in alleged Israeli airstrike near Syria-Lebanon border - Jerusalem Post

The open-source intelligence social media account Intelli Times tweeted earlier that the strike targeted a weapons stockpile intended for Hezbollah located along a weapons smuggling route between Syria and Lebanon.

A round-trip Fars Air Qeshm flight between Tehran and Damascus was reported by civilian flight tracking sites on Monday. The airline is suspected of being used to smuggle weapons from Iran to Syria and Lebanon.

The area around the once popular resort city of Al-Zabadani was part of a major supply route for weapons sent by Syria to Hezbollah before the 2011 outbreak of the Syrian conflict, which has killed more than 200,000 people.
The airspace above the Golan Heights east of the Jordan River was closed to flights over 5,000 feet until Wednesday afternoon, shortly after the airstrikes were reported in Syria.

3. Eight detained in J'lem protests over death of Ahuvya Sandak - Israel National News

Hundreds of demonstrators continued Wednesday night to protest the conduct of the police in the chase in which their late Ahuvya Sandak was killed.
The demonstrations took place in three centers. At the Bar Ilan junction, the demonstrators blocked the road and police confronted them and forcibly evacuated them. Five of the protesters were arrested for questioning.

In Zion Square, the demonstrators sat down on the sidewalk and the road and stopped the light rail traffic. Two protesters were arrested. A youth was arrested on Mount Herzl for blowing a whistle.

4. Siding with Netanyahu, court demands to see AG’s written authorization of probes- Times of Israel

The Jerusalem District Court on Tuesday ordered prosecutors to hand over Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit’s authorization for police investigations into Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Prosecutors must provide the documentation to Netanyahu’s defense team within seven days.
The court’s ruling applies to Cases 1000, 2000 and 4000 against the prime minister, after lawyers for Netanyahu alleged that permission for the criminal probes — which must be granted by the attorney general — was given retroactively. Netanyahu’s attorneys have argued that if written authorization was not given, all the charges against him must be canceled.

The court rejected prosecutors’ argument that the authorizations were not related to the investigation.

5. No Place Like Home: Israeli Govt Cancels Traveler Mandate to Quarantine in Coronavirus Hotels - Jewish Press

Israel’s ministerial coronavirus committee has approved the proposal by Health Minister Yuli Edelstein to cancel the requirement forcing travelers arriving from abroad to quarantine in government-run coronavirus hotels.
“Instead, people returning from any country in the world will be able to quarantine at home or in another place where it is possible to maintain the quarantine conditions other than designated hotels,” said a communique.
The move came in response to a massive backlash against the requirement to enter immediate quarantine upon landing, direct from the airport, at government-run coronavirus hotels.

1. Sen. Josh Hawley: I’ll Object to Electoral College Votes on January 6 - Breitbart

In a news release, Hawley said he will object “to highlight the failure of some states, including notably Pennsylvania, to follow their own election laws as well as the unprecedented interference of Big Tech monopolies in the election.”

The release said Hawley will “call for Congress to launch a full investigation of potential fraud and election irregularities and enact election integrity measures.”

In a segment airing on Saturday, U.S. Rep.-elect Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) told The Kyle Olson Show that her colleagues will object to electors from six states.

If Hawley or other senators object to each one of those, that action will trigger a process in which each body will debate allegations of voter fraud and election irregularities in each one for two hours apiece, or up to 12 hours. Read more

- Father God we thank You for this senator's brave and courageous action. We pray right now in the name of Jesus Christ that his own courage will encourage other senators to stand up for what is right and for what it is just. Amen.

- “This is what the Lord says: “Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed.” (Isaiah 56:1)

2. CBP Chief: Joe Biden Will Spur ‘Waves’ of ‘Uncontrolled Mass Migration’ to U.S
. - Breitbart

As Breitbart News reported, Joe Biden is planning to tear down President Donald Trump’s legal wall that he has built through U.S. agreements with Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador that have helped stem illegal immigration at the southern border and allow federal immigration officials to quickly return border crossers to their native countries.

Specifically, Biden’s advisers have suggested that they will eliminate U.S. agreements with Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador in the middle of the Chinese coronavirus crisis, risking a flood of Central American illegal immigration to the southern border.

In statements, Morgan warned that eliminating the agreements will lead to “waves of attempted illegal entries” similar to illegal immigration levels the U.S. saw in 2019.
Notably, Morgan said the U.S. agreements with Central America are critical to “protect the American homeland from uncontrolled mass migration during a global pandemic…” Read more

- Father God we thank You for the laws passed under the Trump administration to make America great again. We decree that law and order will continue to be enforced and that we will have our country back, in Jesus name, amen.

“He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.” (Deuteronomy 10:21)

3. McConnell introduces his own bill on $2,000 stimulus checks, other Trump priorities - Fox News

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday introduced his own version of a bill to increase the $600 stimulus checks from the coronavirus relief package to $2,000, but also included two other major priorities for President Trump.

The legislation would also repeal Section 230, the controversial liability protection for online platforms, and create a committee on the Election Assistance Commission to study election integrity.

McConnell set the table for a bill to address these three issues in his floor remarks Tuesday.

"During this process, the president highlighted three additional issues of national significance he would like to see Congress tackle together," McConnell said, before listing off the president's grievances about the amount of the stimulus payment, Section 230 and the election. Read more

- Father God we ask that Your will would be done in this situation. Whatever path and whichever bill is the best for America and the American people we pray in the name of Jesus that that path will be made known to the President and all of those involved in making this decision, amen.

- “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

4. Trump Calls for GOP governor to RESIGN, highlights election hearing - DML News

President Trump blasted Georgia Governor Brian Kemp in a fiery Wednesday morning Twitter post.

Hearings from Atlanta on the Georgia Election overturn now being broadcast. Check it out. @OANN @newsmax and many more. @BrianKempGA should resign from office. He is an obstructionist who refuses to admit that we won Georgia, BIG! Also won the other Swing States,” the president tweeted.

The president has repeatedly criticized Kemp for his handling of election issues in his state, but this is the first time he has called for Kemp’s resignation. Read more

- Heavenly father we ask in the name of Jesus that these governors who have sold out their states to China and foreign interests be revealed and held accountable for their treasonous actions in the name of Jesus. Bring down this corruption in Jesus name. Amen!

-“For I the Lord love justice; I hate robbery and wrong; I will faithfully give them their recompense, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.” (Isaiah 61:8)

5. Pence refused to sign on to plan to overturn election, lawyers say
 - The Hill

Lawyers representing Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) and Arizona’s 11 GOP electors disclosed in a court filing Tuesday that Vice President Pence rejected their request to join their attempt to subvert the results of the presidential election.

Gohmert and the electors filed suit against Pence on Monday in an attempt to argue that the vice president has sole authority to determine which presidential electors Congress will count when it certifies the results of the election. The far-fetched suit essentially asks the court to grant Pence the authority on Jan. 6 to overrule the results in swing states such as Arizona and have Congress count only pro-Trump electors instead of the ones President-elect Joe Biden won.

In new court filings made public Tuesday, the plaintiffs disclosed that they had reached out to Pence before filing their suit in an attempt to join forces but that their talks did not reach any kind of agreement. Read more

- Lord God we pray that Y ou are speaking to the Trump administration and specifically Mike Pence in this particular situation about Your perfect will in the heavenly strategies you have for the victory in this election. We say Your will be done in Jesus name!

--“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)

6. All Major Western Media Outlets Take ‘Private Dinners’, ‘Sponsored Trips’ From Chinese Communist Propaganda Front
- National Pulse

Other outlets involved in the propaganda operation include Forbes, the Financial Times, Newsweek, Bloomberg, Reuters, ABC News, the Economist, the Wall Street Journal, AFP, TIME magazine, LA Times, The Hill, BBC, and The Atlantic.

The relationship is revealed in the Department of Justice’s Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA) filings, which reveal a relationship spanning over a decade between establishment media outlets and the China–United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF).

CUSEF is a Chinese Communist Party-funded initiative founded by Tung Chee Hwa. The group also targets American universities with offers to fund policy research, high-level dialogues, and exchange programs.

The effort, according to the U.S. government report, aims to “to co-opt and neutralize sources of potential opposition to the policies and authority of its ruling Chinese Communist Party.”

- Father God we thank You that the truth is coming to light about just how much our own government is selling the American people out. But we ask now in the name of Jesus that justice will come swiftly and that accountability will be had to put a stop to this treason. Amen.

7. Louisiana congressman-elect dies from COVID-19
ABC News

Luke Letlow, who was to have been Louisiana’s newest Republican member of the U.S. House, has died from complications related to COVID-19 only days before being sworn into office. He was 41.

Letlow spokesman Andrew Bautsch confirmed the congressman-elect’s death Tuesday at Ochsner-LSU Health Shreveport. The spokesman says that “the family appreciates the numerous prayers and support over the past days.”

Letlow had won a December runoff election and was set to take office in January. He was admitted to a Monroe hospital on Dec. 19 after testing positive for the coronavirus. He was later transferred to the Shreveport medical center and placed in intensive care. Read more

- We pray in the name of Jesus Lord God that you would send your holy heavenly angels to comfort those in mourning over Letlows passing. And we pray Lord that you would raise up a suitable replacement for his constituents. Amen.

8. B-52s fly over Persian Gulf as 'complex attacks' from Iran feared, US ready to thwart - Fox News

Two American B-52 bombers flew a nonstop, 30-plus-hour, round-trip mission from the United States to the Middle East to send a fresh warning to Iran as a senior military official said new warnings had been detected, a sign that potential "complex attacks" against Americans are brewing as the one-year anniversary of the U.S. killing Iran’s most powerful general looms.

In a statement, U.S. Central Command said the bombers launched from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota on Tuesday morning, marking the third time in the past 45 days U.S. Air Force bombers have flown deterrence missions over the Persian Gulf under fighter escort. The bombers flew through without incident, and Iran had not reacted publicly as of Wednesday morning.

"The United States continues to deploy combat-ready capabilities into the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility to deter any potential adversary, and make clear that we are ready and able to respond to any aggression directed at Americans or our interests," said Gen. Frank McKenzie, commander of U.S. Central Command. "We do not seek conflict, but no one should underestimate our ability to defend our forces or to act decisively in response to any attack." (Read more)

- Father God we pray Your peace into this region in the name of Jesus Christ. We bind all principalities and powers and territorial spirits that seek to cause division and chaos and we break their powers in the name of Jesus, amen.

--“Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7)

9. Over three quarters in new poll support mandatory photo ID to vote in person
- Just The News

An overwhelming majority of voters — including majorities in virtually every major voting demographic — believe Americans should be required to show a photo ID before casting a ballot in person, according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.

Overall, 77% of respondents in the poll of registered voters believe ID laws should be in place at the ballot box. That number holds largely consistent among white, Hispanic and black voters; seven out of every 10 Democrats feel that way, as do 61% of "very liberal" voters.

Just 13% of voters feel otherwise.

Voter ID laws have been a regular source of friction and debate within the U.S., with some advocates arguing it ensures the integrity of elections and some activists claiming it has the potential to disenfranchise certain voters. Read more

- Father God in the name of Jesus we ask that our voting laws and voting procedures be completely restored and renewed back to its original intent so that we can restore confidence in the American public that their voice matters in every election. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

- "And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you." (1 Peter 5:10)

The Daily Jot

Smoke Filled Back Room

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, December 30, 2020

When we speak of politics being played in an ill-gotten manner, we think of big party bosses with cigars dangling out of their mouths in a smoke-filled backroom making deals that hurt some and help others. This is not, however, the modern version of smoke-filled backroom politics. Today, it’s much more sophisticated—voter machines that apparently weigh votes toward a candidate; dead people and illegals not only voting, but voting en masse through ballots that were sent without request and received without authentication, and courts with judges who rule based on party affiliation rather than the rule of law. This is where America stands today. It is where Republicans were taken to school by Democrats.

It doesn’t make it right. And it may be years from being exposed. But the bottom line here is that this presidential election and the upcoming Georgia senate election are examples of how the Democratic Party used and is using its political boss prowess to take an election. The game plan was simple. Register as many people as possible and make sure their ballots are sent in and judges will take care of the rest. In short, the Republicans knew it was coming. They complained about it early on. But they were inept at doing anything about it. They didn’t adjust. They didn’t counter. They, quite frankly, got out-smoked in the smoke-filled back room. “Unfair,” we shout. “Illegal,” we exclaim. Yes, on both accounts.

But the burden of proof is on the Republicans who were flat-footed and erroneously relied on the rule of law when it came to voter fraud and well-placed judges, who sided with their democrat party and bent the law to justify the fraud. In politics it makes little difference whether it is legal or ethical, it’s whether you can get away with it. And that’s what has happened. We know the ultimate outcome is that unless these terrible shenanigans are corrected, Americans can rest assured that they will never elect another president or representative again. It will be determined by the backroom oligarchy, the puppeteers of special interest and globalism. The party affiliation might change—Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, but the agenda will, with little differences, remain the same. It isn’t right or just, but it is what is happening.

We are seeing a real time example of Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” The very next verse instructs us how to overcome this evil day by putting on the full armor of God and “having done all, to stand.” The ray of hope is that we as a nation are resilient. We have ways of correcting these problems. They take time. Laws will change. The political pendulum will swing. But we need to act with the full armor of God for all this to happen—belt of truth; breastplate of righteousness; shoes of the gospel of peace; the shield of faith; the helmet of salvation; and the sword of the Spirit. This is far stronger than a smoke-filled back room. Let us unite for right and stand.

Classic Hymns

America the Beautiful

To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE

Words: Katharine L. Bates
Music: Samuel A. Ward

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain;
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!

America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood,
From sea to shining sea.

O beautiful for pilgrim feet,
Whose stern, impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!

America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved,
And mercy more than life!

America! America!
May God thy gold refine,
Till all success be nobleness,
And every gain divine.

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam,
Undimmed by human tears!

America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self control,
Thy liberty in law.
