Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

UPDATE: THE NATIONAL CALL TO REPENTANCE TO STOP THE PANDEMIC
(Based upon Numbers 16:46-48)
Where do we go from here?
This past Sunday evening, we were amazed to see that almost THREE HUNDRED of you had heard the call of God and joined us at 5:00 p.m. to fight the good fight of faith against several pandemics now showing up in nations across the globe. Following the model of our Lord Jesus Christ, when He confronted Satan in the wilderness, we simply decreed, in unity, "IT IS WRITTEN."
God released a POWERFUL ANOINTING among us, and the intercession continued to flow way past the appointed time. His presence was tangible as the GLORY fell upon all of us! PRAISE THE LORD!
(If you had to miss that call, please go here to review our recording.)
Here are two comments sent in afterwards, giving feedback from that call:
1. (From Bettina in Florida)
Dear Sara,
Last night’s prayer that went national as well as international was a great blessing. It was powerful in its declarations. It brought hope and assurance that our God hears and answers our prayers. God bless you for your continued faithfulness to His cause. And may he grant you a restful day. Blessings and gratitude. Bettina 2, (From Julie in North Carolina)
That call was one of the most informative and scriptural based call I've been on to date, not lingering, compact.. just right that it kept up focused...
AND THE PRESENCE OF GOD WAS SO EVIDENT....
Thank God. Thank God!!!!
And thank you and your team Sara
3. (From Jason in Colorado:)
Greetings and Blessings from western CO. What a tremendous honor and
privilege it was to pray with all of you today. The synergy of brothers and
sisters all in agreement and in one accord is beyond human expression! When
the lines are opened up, the sounds of the corporate prayer is
incredible! Thus my need to send this email.
I learned about CHPP through the Transformation MI nightly prayer call, and
it is transforming my prayer life and my intimacy with the Lord Jesus. . . .When we all prayed together just a few minutes ago, I wept because there is
a longing within me to continue to pray with my brothers and sisters. I
never want it to end. And to try and describe what it feels like is a
knowing that what we are doing is a fulfillment of what Holy Spirit has
shown me that He wants to do through all of us in this moment.
Also, I truly believe that this Sunday evening
prayer call should become a weekly endeavor. It was Wonderful! Thank You &
God bless you in the matchless Name of His Son Jesus. Amen.
> > > Thank you, all!
Where do we go from here?
Here are some suggested steps we can now take to continue to "take captivity captive" through this strategy of Spiritual Warfare:
1. Every time you see or hear of a report of a new plague breaking out, JUST SAY "NO" to it!
2. Bind the spirit of FEAR that the enemy will try to place upon your heart. Stand in FAITH. (Recite healing verses, if desired.)
3. Assume the role of the watchman over these looming threats; NWO has more planned!
For example: just this past weekend, we found 3 indicators that "something is still up" when we observed these scenes on TV:
-- On the game show, "Jeapordy", they used the term EBOLA as one of the clues! (How ofter do you hear that word spoken?)
-- On NCIS New Orleans (CBS) Sunday night: the entire episode revolved around a new pandemic that had broken out on a naval vessel
-- The same night, our local news reported that New York City is now on alert, because someone there has contracted the lethal Brazilian strain of COVID.
3. If possible, repeat the 3 decrees daily:
-- Isaiah 54:17
-- Job 39:11
-- ***** Mark 16:18
4. Thank our God that He HAS heard us and He IS at work to "deliver us from evil."
5. Finally if you are seeing reports of any new outbreaks where you live (that are not being reported in the mainstream media), feel free to send that article, with the link
included, to us at:

THANK YOU!
Focus on Israel
1. Israeli parties fight for every last vote ahead of Tuesday’s elections - World Israel News
On Tuesday, Israelis head to the polls to elect the country’s 24th Knesset. It will be the fourth election in less than two years, reflecting an ongoing crisis in which neither side of the political aisle can achieve a Knesset majority. Will one finally emerge victorious this time?
Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Likud party was pulling ahead according to the last poll (March 18) published by Kan News. The Likud rose to 31 seats, gaining two seats from a poll the week prior.
Ironically, the Likud fears the improving numbers will lead to indifference on Election Day, Channel 12 reports on Sunday, causing its supporters to remain at home. Netanyahu continues to hit the hustings to drum up voter enthusiasm.
Opposition leader Yair Lapid of the Yesh Atid party also continues to campaign until the last moment, though from a different motive. The center-left is weakening and now fears depression will keep supporters from coming out to the polls. (Read more)
2. Shaked says Yamina is not planning for defeat - Israel National News
MK Ayelet Shaked of Yamina is giving one last interview to Arutz Sheva before election day.
"We are amicable with the Likud,” she says, “But it should be understood that Netanyahu is throwing everything he has against Yamina. We need every religious Zionist of every kind to support us if we are to establish a genuinely thoughtful right-wing government.”
Shaked does not believe in ‘the day after’ scenarios in case her party shouldn’t do as well as they hope. “We do not talk about ‘the day after’. We are going to set up a right-wing government, with a right-wing candidate at its head.”
Shaked is equally determined when it comes to the Yesh Atid party and its leader. "We have said unequivocally that there will be no rotation with Lapid, nor will Lapid be our Prime Minister in any circumstances. The choice right now is Naftali Bennett, who can stay true to right-wing values and has the courage and determination to implement policies for the good of the nation.” (Read more)
3. Fears of Low Voter Turnout, Election Tampering Have Political System on Edge - Israel Hayom
Senior political officials expressed concern over low voter turnout in Tuesday's elections, saying that the prolonged political crisis in Israel – Israelis will go to the polls for the fourth time on March 23 – has resulted not only in voter fatigue but in growing public apathy.
The March 2020 elections saw a robust voter turnout of 71.52%, but there are no guarantees that this trend will translate into Tuesday's polls.
Adding to these concerns is the coronavirus pandemic, as many voters could opt to stay home rather than risk potential exposure to COVID-19 at a polling station.
Meanwhile, the Israel Police is gearing up to secure Election Day.
Some 20,000 police officers will be deployed nationwide to ensure an orderly vote. (Read more)
4. Ahead of Elections, Netanyahu Places Cornerstone for New Samaria Neighborhood - Jewish Press
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Israeli community of Revava in the Shomron on Monday to participate in the unveiling of a new neighborhood, just one day before Israel goes to vote.
The neighborhood being built will be named “Neve Achiad” after Rabbi Achiad Ettinger (47), a father of 12 who was killed in a terrorist attack in Ariel Square exactly two years ago while attempting to stop the attack. The attack would have been much deadlier if he had not intervened.
“We are committed to our land, to the Land of Israel, I plowed this land at the age of 18, I went through all the places, just when I enlisted the whole Land of Israel was liberated, I walked here a lot, I was excited, here our ancestors walked and here we will return and build our land,” stated Netanyahu. 5. IAI Extends Air Defense Capabilities for Longer Range, Ballistic Threats - Jerusalem Post
In the shadow of the IDF warnings of a possible attack coming from Iran and its proxies in the region, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) completed on Monday a series of successful live firing trials of the Barak Air Defense System.
The company said that the trials tested the system’s capabilities in a range of scenarios and threats, including the interception of an assaulting ballistic target by the Barak ER (extended range) interceptor.
The Barak ER missile, developed by IAI, combines the capability to intercept air defense threats at a long-range of 150 kilometers and ballistic targets as part of IAI’s Barak interceptors’ family of various ranges.
The extended range capability is made possible in part by adjusting the interceptor and MMR radar capabilities to a 150-km. range. The vertically launched missile includes a booster, a dual-pulse rocket motor and an advanced radar homing seeker, the company said in a statement. (Read more)

1. Biden admin considering flying Latin American migrants to states near Canadian border: report – Fox
As crossings along the southern border surge to near-record levels, the Biden administration is considering flying migrants to states near the Canadian border, according to a report.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requested the plane support from Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Friday after 1,000 migrant families and unaccompanied minors crossed the Rio Grande into South Texas Friday morning, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials told The Washington Post. Border agents still have another 1,000 migrants they were unable to process last night, according to communications reviewed by the Post.
The backups at CBP are exacerbated by the nearly 4,500 unaccompanied children being held in detention centers and tent sites at the border, many beyond the legal three-day limit.
The Biden administration contends that the situation at the border is a "challenge," not a "crisis." (Read more)
- Father, this plan is a bandaid approach to a bigger problem. We pray that somehow You will stop the Biden administration from this mayhem, and bring about a true solution. Help them find wisdom from Your throne!
- “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” (Jeremiah 33:3)
2. Biden Criticized for Inhumane Conditions in Migrant Children Detention Facilities- Breitbart
Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) sharply criticized the Biden administration over conditions at multiple Health and Human Services detention facilities for unaccompanied migrant children recently opened across the state. Abbott specifically cited a drinking-water issue at a facility hastily opened by HHS in Midland, Texas and a COVID-19 outbreak in a facility opened last month in Carrizo Springs, Texas.
Governor Abbott said, “The Biden Administration has been an abject failure when it comes to ensuring the safety of unaccompanied minors who cross our border. The conditions unaccompanied minors face in these federally run facilities is unacceptable and inhumane.”
“From a lack of safe drinking water in one location to a COVID-19 outbreak in another, the Biden Administration has no excuse for subjecting these children to these kinds of conditions,” the Texas governor continued. “President Biden’s refusal to address the border crisis is not only enabling criminal actors like human traffickers and smugglers, but it is exposing innocent unaccompanied children to illness and potentially unsafe living conditions.”
“The administration must act now to keep these children safe, secure our border, and end this humanitarian crisis,” Abbott concluded. (Read more)
- Lord, members of this administration complained bitterly of Trump’s actions, and even resorted to theatrics. We rebuke the powers of evil that have taken our government. We fall to our knees in repentance and plead for Your mercy over our nation.
- “The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.” (Proverbs 8:13)
3. Unintended consequences: Dems rush to fix mistakes in relief package
President Biden says “the devil is in the details” of his $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package. Turns out, there are a lot of details.
Mr. Biden and his team spent last week touting the benefits of the legislation. They will now have to fix some of the unintended consequences, which include looming Medicare cuts, a child credit that the IRS says it will struggle to implement on schedule, and language limiting states’ ability to cut taxes that has already triggered at least one lawsuit.
“I can’t give you a specific explanation as to how it got put in other than that kind of thing happens — always — when massive legislation like this is being crammed down without going through the committee,” Sen. Mike Crapo of Idaho, the top Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, told The Washington Times.
Mr. Crapo was referring to language Senate Democrats added to the bill that bars states from using the $350 billion in state and local aid to offset revenue losses that result from tax cuts. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray for a fix for all of these things jammed into the massive spending bill. Let none of Your people, not one state, not one person of any age be harmed by what is hidden in this legislation.
- “For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.” (Luke 8:17)
4. Congressman calls for service members, veterans who stormed the Capitol to be stripped of benefits- Stars and Stripes
Rep. Ruben Gallego, a Marine Corps combat veteran, is calling on Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough and other top officials to strip benefits from active-duty service members, veterans and military retirees who took part in the deadly siege of the Capitol.
“Many of the veterans and service members who attacked their own government actively and enthusiastically enjoy special benefits given to them by their fellow citizens,” Gallego, D-Ariz., wrote to McDonough in a letter dated March 18.
“This situation is unjust. Any veteran or service member who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 forfeited their moral entitlement to privileged benefits at the expense of the people of the United States,” wrote Gallego, a member of the House Armed Services Committee.
Benefits afforded by the VA include disability compensation, educational benefits, access to health care, employment opportunities and access to veteran-affiliated state programs.
Gallego sent a second, nearly identical letter to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, as well as a third letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland. (Read more)
- Father, we pray that truth will win over political rhetoric and vindictive actions by liberals. Let no innocent veteran or service member be destroyed by these demands.
- “Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause against an ungodly people, from the deceitful and unjust man deliver me!” (Psalm 43:1)
5. House passes bills providing citizenship path for Dreamers, farmworkers – The Hill
House Democrats passed a pair of bills Thursday that would create a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers and some migrant farm workers, taking a piecemeal approach as the fate of President Biden’s major immigration package looks increasingly uncertain.
The Dream and Promise Act, which passed 228-197, would provide certainty to undocumented people brought to the U.S. as children whose ability to go to school, get work and even remain in the country has hung in the balance from administration to administration.
Sponsor Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-Calif.) called the bill “a major step in ending the veil of fear and uncertainty that has plagued the lives of our Dreamers for far too long.”
But beyond assisting Dreamers, the legislation would also allow those with Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to apply for citizenship, a group from countries around the world that ranges from those fleeing civil unrest and natural disasters as early as the 1990s to Venezuelans deemed eligible for the status by the Biden administration earlier this month. - Lord, we understand the plight of those who come to America seeking a better life. But we pray that all of our leaders would seek Your wisdom, and not vote for this based on emotional arguments.
- “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” (James 1:5)
6. Biden urges Congress to pass hate crime legislation in response to violence against Asian Americans - CNBC
President Joe Biden on Friday urged Congress to “swiftly pass” hate crime legislation to address the rise in discrimination and violence against Asian Americans during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Covid-19 Hate Crimes Act aims to increase Justice Department oversight of coronavirus-related hate crimes, provide support for state and local law enforcement agencies, and make hate crime information more accessible to Asian American communities.
The move comes days after a shooting spree in Georgia that killed eight people, including six Asian women. The president and Vice President Kamala Harris are set to meet with Asian American leaders in Atlanta on Friday. (Read more)
- Lord, there are laws already on the books to address this problem. Let no laws be created that will cause more rigid actions against our citizens. We ask for mercy in the heart of all Americans that can only come through a move of Your Spirit.
“And Peter said to them, ‘Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’” (Acts 2:38)
7. VP Kamala Harris: ‘Racism Is Real in America, and It Has Always Been’ - Breitbart
Vice President Kamala Harris condemned the U.S. as racist, xenophobic, and sexist in remarks at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she and President Joe Biden traveled Friday to show solidarity with the Asian American community.
“Racism is real in America and it has always been. Xenophobia is real in America and always has been. Sexism, too,” Harris said.
Eight people were murdered this week at three massage parlors in Atlanta. Six of the victims were Asian.
Though police said that there was no evidence of a racial motive, advocates have claimed that the event is only the latest in a wave of anti-Asian-American hate crimes.
Democrats have also blamed former President Donald Trump, who took a tough stance against China and often referred to the coronavirus as the “China virus” (though he also praised and defended Asian-Americans.)
In her remarks, Harris hinted that Trump was to blame for attacks on Asian Americans: “For the last year, we’ve had people in positions of incredible power scapegoating Asian Americans, people with the biggest pulpits, spreading this kind of hate.”
When she was running for president, Harris touted herself as the first future Asian American president. Her mother is Indian-American. (Read more)
- Lord, we ask that You touch Ms Harris’ heart and bring major repentance to her life. Her thoughts are continually negative toward our nation.
- “Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out.” (Acts 3:19)
8. ‘The Dominoes Are Falling’: Minnesota Gov. Walz Rescinds All Occupancy Requirements On Churches Following Lawsuit – The Daily Wire
Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz rescinded occupancy requirements on the state’s houses of worship earlier this week following a lawsuit from the Thomas More Society and voter initiatives to recall him.
Walz’s Executive Order 21-11, which was approved on March 15, 2021, lifted the last remaining restriction on church attendance in Minnesota, which had capped occupancy at 50 percent. The restrictions remain in effect for bars and restaurants.
“The dominoes are falling in favor of abolishing the states’ limitations on church attendance,” Thomas More Society special counsel Erick Kaardal said in a statement to The Daily Wire. “Minnesota has abolished its church attendance limitations. Next, our plan is to similarly abolish all the other states’ remaining limitations on church attendance, which have been occurring nationwide.”
The Thomas More Society filed the lawsuit against Walz and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison last August, arguing on behalf of three churches that the state’s mandate regarding attendance limits violated their religious liberties. The churches involved include Cornerstone Church of Alexandria in Alexandra, Minnesota, Life Spring Church in Crosby, Minnesota, and Calvary Chapel in St. Paul. (Read more)
- Thank You, Lord for this report. We praise Your Holy Name for the victory in Minnesota and ask that You continue to protect Your people from the actions of governments.
- “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91:1)
9. Report: Dozens of White House Staffers Abruptly Suspended, Asked to Resign – Western Journal
The Biden Administration has suspended dozens of young White House staffers for past marijuana use that the administration had previously said would not disqualify them from their positions, according to a Thursday report.
The Daily Beast reported that affected staffers were “suspended, asked to resign, or placed in a remote work program,” according to three people familiar with the matter who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Staffers who recreationally used cannabis in one of the 14 states where cannabis is legal were also affected by the policy. Marijuana remains illegal under federal law.
“It’s exclusively targeting younger staff and staff who came from states where it was legal,” a former staffer said. The staffers were suspended because they revealed the marijuana use on an official document as part of their lengthy background check. (Read more)
- Lord, as the hypocrisy of this administration is being revealed, we know that even the VP has admitted smoking Marijuana. We pray that You will begin a major move of Your Spirit amidst the entire Biden administration, bringing full repentance to their lives.
- “You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.” (Matthew 7:5)
10. Federal Judge Alleges Democrats Are Close to Controlling All Major News Outlets – The Epoch Times
A federal judge this week said that the Democrat Party is close to controlling the press as he detailed what he described as shocking bias against Republicans.
D.C. Circuit Court Judge Laurence Silberman outlined his opposition to the Supreme Court’s key decision in 1964 in New York Times v. Sullivan, which has since protected many media outlets from lawsuits.
Silberman, a Reagan appointee, wrote that the ruling is “a threat to American Democracy” and must be overturned.
“The increased power of the press is so dangerous today because we are very close to one-party control of these institutions. Our court was once concerned about the institutional consolidation of the press leading to a ‘bland and homogenous’ marketplace of ideas. It turns out that ideological consolidation of the press (helped along by economic consolidation) is the far greater threat,” he continued. (Read more)
- Father, we pray that Your Spirit would begin to move through all media, removing the wicked, bringing truth and light. Let them no longer be allowed to twist the words of people they disagree with, and bring conviction to their hearts.
“And when He comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.” (John 16:8)
11. Democrat Introduces Bill To Ban Minors From Getting Transgender-Reassignment Surgery, Treatments- Daily Wire
South Carolina Democrat state Rep. Cezar McKnight (D-101) has introduced legislation to ban minors from undergoing transgender-reassignment surgery and from receiving medications from doctors to alter gender or delay puberty.
The Bill, called the “South Carolina Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act,” would ban minors from being able to receive transgender surgeries and medical treatments and would charge any person with felonies, with the potential of prison sentences of up to 20 years, for violating the proposed law. (Read more)
- Father, thank you for a Democrat who understands the issue. We pray that this legislation will pass in South Carolina, and that You will move to protect all children from the wickedness of the current culture.
- “What the wicked dreads will come upon him, but the desire of the righteous will be granted.” (Proverbs 10:24)
The Daily Jot
The Most Deadly Virus Facing America
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, March 22, 2020
Social media platforms, corporate media, the government, and political persuasions are censuring and canceling you for your thoughts and beliefs. Those who disagree with the radical left are labeled, marked in society, ridiculed, hated and canceled. Likewise, radical right movements also employ psychological mechanisms of self-censorship toward followers by selling the idea that some unnamed force is taking care of the wrongs in the world, so no action is necessary, just wait and see. People don’t know what to believe. They feel they can’t speak out. Anything said can be branded racist, bigotry, extremism, or some other form of inhumanity. In my opinion, this is the most deadly virus faced by today’s America.
Epoch Times’ Peter Svab writes, “Due to the psychological mechanisms of self-censorship, a single account blocked, a single video deleted, or a book banned can result in a broad chilling of speech. Important policy debates don’t occur, news story ideas aren’t pitched to editors, and books aren’t accepted for publishing, or written to begin with…it appears the censors employ the psychological tricks on purpose, achieving maximum suppression with minimal responsibility. These methods aren’t new—in fact, they have long been employed by totalitarian regimes. The principle of self-censorship is that people, just to be on the safe side, refrain from saying even things that aren’t outright banned by some applicable rules.”
Alexis de Tocqueville, in his book Democracy in America, Volume II, wrote in 1840, “It covers the surface of society with a network of small, complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence: it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd.”
Last week, DC Circuit Court Judge Laurence Silberman, a Reagan appointee, warned with his dissent in a libel case, that the mainstream news media and Silicon Valley with its influence over news distribution are tools of the Democratic Party. He wrote in his opinion, “It should be borne in mind that the first step taken by any potential authoritarian or dictatorial regime is to gain control of communications, particularly the delivery of news. It is fair to conclude, therefore, that one-party control of the press and media is a threat to a viable democracy.” Silberman says this suppresses a vibrant trade in ideas and could give rise to countervailing extremism.
Liberty is a flame that lives in the hearts of men and women. It is not eternal. When it dies, it takes more than a spark to rekindle it, perhaps persecution beyond imagined to strike the flint of freedom. So, as Galatians 5:1 says, “Stand fast, therefore, in the Liberty by which Christ has set you free and be not again entangled with the yoke of bondage.” True liberty starts with Christ, then perhaps you may know the price of soft tyranny and the atrophy that follows when freedom is not regularly exercised. Be vigilant. Stand up. Speak out. A free people can only exist by adhering to the precepts of God. Bondage is bondage, whether it is sin or tyranny. It is the most deadly virus faced by today’s America.
Urgent Prayer: Boulder, Colorado
Boulder grocery massacre leaves multiple dead including cop, suspect in custody
A Colorado police officer and multiple people died when a gunman opened fire inside a grocery store Monday afternoon, sending shoppers running for their lives and igniting an hours-long standoff," authorities said.
Boulder Police Cmdr. Kerry Yamaguchi said a person of interest had been injured, was being treated and was in police custody. He said he could not confirm the number of deaths, saying it was too early in the investigation.
"We don't know. They are still processing the scene," Yamaguchi told reporters.
The identity of the deceased officer and other victims were not released. Yamaguchi said investigators were still working to determine a motive.
Kelly McGannon, a spokeswoman for the grocery store, offered her condolences to the loved ones of the victms and first responders. "Our hearts are broken over this senseless act of violence," she said.
Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, a Democrat, said his "heart is breaking" over the incident.
"My heart is breaking as we watch this unspeakable event unfold in our Boulder community," he said in a statement. "We are making every public safety resource available to assist the Boulder County Sheriff's Department as they work to secure the store. I’m incredibly grateful to the brave men and women who have responded to the scene to help the victims of this senseless tragedy."
U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment, said she was praying for "employees, first responders & others affected by the shooting in Boulder."
"While we are still awaiting important information and details in this case, random public shootings & senseless acts of violence are never ok," she tweeted. (Read more)
- Father God, this morning we bring before Your Throne of Grace all those who have been traumatized by this disaster. We ask that You comfort each one as only You can do.
In the Halls of Congress, we also ask that this incident not be used to strengthen support for the gun control bill now in committee. Let cool heads prevail, we ask, O Lord. We also ask special protection for Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, who represents this district, as she is such a strong advocate of our own right to bear arms.. In Your Name we pray, amen.

Worst flooding in decades continues for eastern Australia
The Australian government has declared a natural disaster across portions of New South Wales as torrential rainfall continues to inundate the region -- and AccuWeather meteorologists warn that more heavy rain is on the way.
More than 18,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes in New South Wales since heavy rainfall arrived late last week, according to CNN. As of Monday, there have been no reports of deaths due to the flooding, but NSW Emergency Services Minister David Elliott warned, "we are moving closer and closer to the inevitable fatality."
"Communities who were battered by the bushfires are now being battered by the floods and a deep drought prior to that. I don't know any time in our state's history where we've had these extreme weather conditions in such quick succession in the middle of a pandemic," said NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian. Canada: Government Drops Charges against Jailed Pastor, Lawyer Says
The Canadian pastor imprisoned for violating COVID-19 mandates put in place by the government will likely be released from jail this week, his attorneys announced Wednesday.
GraceLife Church Pastor James Coates has been behind bars since Feb. 16, when he was arrested by officers with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for holding in-person worship services in violation of Edmonton, Alberta, health orders demanding he limit attendance to just 15% of the facility's total capacity.
Attorneys with the Justice Centre for Constitutional Rights, which is representing Coates, announced prosecutors "have agreed to withdraw all but one of the Public Health Act offenses that Pastor James Coates has been charged with".

I am happy today,
And the sun shines bright,
The clouds have been rolled away;
For the Savior said,
Whosoever will
May come with Him to stay.
Refrain
Whosoever surely meaneth me,
Surely meaneth me,
O surely meaneth me;
Whosoever surely meaneth me,
Whosoever meaneth me.
All my hopes have been raised,
O His name be praised,
His glory has filled my soul;
I’ve been lifted up,
And from sin set free,
His blood has made me whole.
Refrain
O what wonderful love,
O what grace divine,
That Jesus should die for me;
I was lost in sin,
For the world I pined,
But now I am set free.

About CHPP
About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners
Our Mission Statement
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
