India hits new record with COVID-19 infections, US vows aid
India has been battling the world’s worst COVID-19 outbreak and on Monday recorded another record in new cases with 352,991 in the past 24 hours along with 2,812 deaths.
Reuters reported that the situation in the country is dire, with hospitals in Delhi and other cities being forced to turn away patients due to a lack of medical oxygen and other supplies.
"Every hospital is running out (of oxygen). We are running out," Dr. Sudhanshu Bankata, executive director of Batra Hospital, a leading hospital in the capital, told a local channel.
Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III said in a statement Sunday that the U.S. stands ready to support "our Indian partners in their hour of need."
He said he has directed the department to "use every resource at our disposal, within our authority" to rapidly provide India’s frontline healthcare workers with the materials they need. He said he instructed the department to provide transportation and logistics assistance and is prepared to "deliver needed supplies" including oxygen-related equipment.
The BBC reported that the U.K. shipped its first consignment aid on Sunday that included 495 oxygen concentrators, which the report said has the capability to extract oxygen from the air if the hospital systems buckle. A correspondent from the network who covers India posted a video on Twitter that she said showed an oxygen tanker with a police escort. (Fox News) Read more

1. Israeli Security Officials Head to Washington to Share Iran Threat Intel as White House Says It Can’t Be Swayed on Nuclear Deal - Algemeiner
A high-profile Israeli security delegation, headed by Mossad Director Yossi Cohen, is arriving in Washington this week to discuss the dangers of restoring the original 2015 Iranian nuclear accord just days after the White House signaled that the Biden administration will not be swayed to change its policy on the deal.
Ahead of the arrival of the delegation of Israeli senior security officials, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki on Friday answered “no” when asked at a press briefing whether the visit was likely to change the US administration’s stance on reviving the nuclear deal, to which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is strongly opposed.
Despite Psaki’s statement, Dore Gold, President of the Jerusalem Center of Public Affairs argued that that “it is important that Israel shares all the relevant intelligence on Iran and articulates what the problem is with negotiating with Iran.”
“The most persuasive arguments are made face-to-face,” Gold, who served as Director-General of the Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2015, told The Algemeiner. “In the past Israel and the US had different assumptions on Iranian behavior, which have now become even more pronounced. Iran’s record of compliance with signed agreements is very weak.” (Read more)
2. Netanyahu set to offer Bennett, Sa'ar PM rotation on Tuesday - Jerusalem Post
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will offer Yamina leader Naftali Bennett and New Hope chairman Gideon Sa’ar the opportunity to go first in a rotation in the Prime Minister’s Office as early as Tuesday night, after the Likud Central Committee meets to approve a future merger with their parties, Likud sources told The Jerusalem Post Monday.
Netanyahu will not reveal a preference between Bennett or Sa’ar, neither of whom he likes personally. He will call upon them to decide themselves who would receive the premiership. The deal would be contingent on both of them bringing their parties with them and enabling the formation of a government by the May 4 deadline, according to the sources.
In recent days, Netanyahu has offered a rotation as prime minister to Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin (Likud), Shas leader Arye Deri and Blue and White chairman Benny Gantz.
None of the offers were taken seriously. They were seen as trial balloons that were intended to soften the blow when the prime minister would make his real overture to Bennett and Sa’ar and to justify his invitations to them, being that their factions are smaller than those of Deri and Gantz. 3. High Court urges appointment of justice minister within 2 days; Gantz wants job - Times of Israel
The High Court of Justice, responding to a petition by a government watchdog, on Sunday urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Benny Gantz to appoint a permanent justice minister within 48 hours. It said it would convene on Tuesday if the appointment was not made by then.
The proposal was part of a compromise offered by Chief Justice Esther Hayut at the beginning of a hearing on a petition against Netanyahu and Gantz, who have allowed a series of government offices to remain without a minister running them, after the terms of several interim ministers expired.
There has been no justice minister since the beginning of April after Gantz’s maximal three-month term as acting justice minister expired. Under the power-sharing agreement between Gantz and Netanyahu, the former is the only one who can select a minister, but Netanyahu has blocked a required cabinet vote to approve such a candidate. Critics have accused Netanyahu of intentionally seeking to weaken the justice system due to his ongoing corruption trial, as he hopes to appoint a minister who will be friendlier to his cause. 4. Security Cabinet authorizes Netanyahu, Gantz to approve plans to attack Gaza - Israel National News
The Political-Security Cabinet convened today (Monday) for a two-and-a-half-hour discussion on tensions on the southern border. The meeting was convened at the demand of Defense Minister Benny Gantz.
Cabinet ministers have authorized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Benny Gantz to approve plans to attack Gaza after dozens of rockets were fired at Israel over the weekend. The ministers were presented with various attack plans based on differing levels of escalation with the terrorist organizations in Gaza
Senior officials said after the meeting that Israel is currently waiting to see how Hamas will conduct itself. "We are not interested in escalation, but we will continue to prepare for any scenario." (Read more)
5. Knesset members attacked by Arabs in Jerusalem - World Israel News
Religious Zionism leader Bezalel Smotrich projected calm after he and a delegation of his fellow party members were attacked by Arab stone-throwers on Monday.
The rioters threw rocks, shot fireworks and threw firebombs at the MKs, Arutz 7 reports.
While holding one of the rocks that the Arabs threw and which shattered a window of a mini-bus, Smotrich said, “What we have here is a national struggle.”
“The State of Israel and the Israeli police need to push back this terror with an iron first – not with ‘understanding,’ not with surrender, not with concessions – but with a determined, pain-inducing iron fist in order that Jews can live and wander freely in every part of Israel, and, of course, in Jerusalem,” Smotrich said. 1. Biden will address a joint session of Congress on April 28 - CNN
President Joe Biden will address lawmakers in a joint session of Congress later this month, delivering his first remarks to both chambers nearly 100 days after taking office.
Biden was formally invited on Tuesday to speak to Congress on April 28 by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who wrote in a letter to the President that she was extending the invitation so he could "share your vision for addressing the challenges and opportunities of this historic moment." He accepted her invitation later Tuesday evening.
The address will come as his administration continues to respond to the coronavirus pandemic and to pitch lawmakers on his massive infrastructure proposal. The joint session will be designated a National Special Security Event and there will be a limit on the number of lawmakers in the chamber due to Covid-19 protocols, a Capitol official involved in planning told CNN Wednesday. Lawmakers will also be seated in the upstairs gallery in addition to the House floor and guests will not be permitted. (Read more)

2. Biden Education Department Wants To Prioritize Critical Race Theory And 1619 Project In School Curriculum – Daily Wire
The Education Department has proposed a rule that would prioritize grant applications to school districts wanting to include critical race theory, the 1619 Project, and so-called anti-racism studies into their civics curriculum.
Legal Insurrection reported that the Education Department proposed the new rule on Monday in an apparent move to continue reversing the Trump administration’s prohibition on critical race theory in the federal government trainings. The summary of the rule reads:
The Department of Education (Department) proposes two priorities for the American History and Civics Education programs, including the Presidential and Congressional Academies for American History and Civics(Academies) and National Activities programs, Assistance Listing Numbers 84.422A and 84.422B. We may use these priorities for competitions in fiscal year (FY) 2021 and later years. We propose these priorities to support the development of culturally responsive teaching and learning and the promotion of information literacy skills in grants under these programs.
The public will be able to comment on the proposed rule until May 19. Legal Insurrection noted that the proposed rule wouldn’t strengthen “the knowledge among students of our form of government, how it functions, and the intent of the Founders” but would instead focus on progressive policies regarding race. 3. FBI Releases Documents on Investigation Into Death of Democrat National Committee Worker Seth Rich – The Epoch Times
The FBI has produced 68 pages relating to a Democrat National Committee (DNC) worker who was shot dead in 2016 in Washington, including an investigative summary that appears to suggest someone could have paid for his death.
Seth Rich, the worker, was shot dead in the early morning hours on July 16, 2016, near his home in the nation’s capital.
The murder, which is unsolved to this day, fueled widespread media coverage, especially after WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange suggested that Rich was the person who provided internal DNC emails to WikiLeaks. Rich’s family has called the notion that Rich leaked documents to WikiLeaks a conspiracy theory.
The newly released files show top Department of Justice officials met in 2018 and discussed Rich’s murder. They reviewed Rich’s financial records and did not identify any unusual deposits or withdrawals.
Additionally, none of the witnesses interviewed during the investigation reported to authorities anything unusual about Rich’s life prior to the homicide. (Read more)

4. Kansas Governor Vetoes Election Reform, Gun Bills – The Epoch Times
Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly on Friday vetoed election reform legislation and a bill that would have let more people carry guns. Kelly, a Democrat, vetoed two bills that would have changed election laws, such as requiring counties to verify signatures on early voting ballots and making it illegal for any person to knowingly alter a postmark on a mail-in ballot.
The bills were House Bill 2183, which the state House passed 80–42 and the state Senate passed 27–11, and House Bill 2332, which the state House passed 83–38 and the state Senate approved 27–11. Kelly alleged the bills would have suppressed votes.
“Although Kansans have cast millions of ballots over the last decade, there remains no evidence of significant voter fraud in Kansas. This bill is a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist. It is designed to disenfranchise Kansans, making it difficult for them to participate in the democratic process, not to stop voter fraud,” she said in a statement.
“We also know what happens when states enact restrictive voting legislation. Hundreds of major companies across the nation have made it abundantly clear that this kind of legislation is wrong. Antagonizing the very businesses Kansas is trying to recruit is not how we continue to grow our economy.” (Read more)

5. California may lose congressional seat for the first time in history - Fox News
The Census Bureau is expected to roll out California’s latest official headcount soon, and the Golden State could lose a congressional seat for the first time in its history due to a steep decline in population growth.
Over the past decade, the annual population growth rate has slipped to 0.06%, lower than at any time since at least 1900. California would drop from 53 to 52 House seats - still more than any other state - and would in turn lose electoral votes in the presidential election.
Meanwhile, states like Texas and Florida are growing their populations and political clout. Texas is expected to gain as many as three seats, according to an Election Data Services analysis, and Florida two. Arizona and Colorado could also gain seats.
If California manages to hold onto all 53 House seats, it could be thanks to the work of the $200 million state leaders spent on census outreach, trying to count as many residents as possible to qualify for a proportional amount of federal funding.
California's fleeing residents often cite a skyrocketing cost of living, high taxes and sprawling wildfires as their motivation to move. (Read more)

6. Oregon initiative would ban animal slaughter, breeding - Western Farmer -Stockman
An Oregon ballot initiative proposed for 2022 would effectively criminalize the farming of food animals in the state by classifying their slaughter as aggravated abuse and redefining artificial insemination and castration as sexual assault.
Initiative Petition 13, filed with Oregon elections officials in November, would remove farmer exemptions from existing laws barring animal cruelty and specifically target practices used for “(b)reeding domestic, livestock, and equine animals,” according to the text of the initiative.
The proposed Abuse, Neglect, and Assault Exemption Modification and Improvement Act would delete all references to “good animal husbandry” from state statute and only allow an animal to be injured in cases of a human’s self-defense. A veterinarian’s spaying and neutering of household pets would still be exempt.
The initiative’s sponsor, a group called End Animal Cruelty, is beginning to gather the 112,000 signatures they’ll need by next summer and is working through the national progressive network ActBlue to recruit volunteers for the effort, animal activist David Michelson recently told Portland’s KBOO-FM, a donor-supported radio station. 7. MIT study challenges indoor social distancing, finds 'no difference between 6 feet and 60 feet' – Fox News
A new study from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology challenges the widespread social distancing guidelines, asserting that the "six-foot rule" is "inadequate" in mitigating indoor transmission of COVID-19.
MIT professors Martin Bazant and John Bush found that people who maintain six feet of distance indoors are no more protected than if they were 60 feet apart – even when wearing a mask.
The peer-reviewed study, published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Science of the United States of America, focused on factors such as time spent indoors, air filtration and circulation, immunization and variant strains. (Read more)

8. ‘I Am Not A Roadblock’: Joe Manchin Says He Just Wants The System To Work As It Should – Daily Caller
Democratic West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin said Sunday that it’s not his intention to be a “roadblock,” but that he wants the system to work as it was designed to work. Manchin joined CNN’s Dana Bash on “State of the Union,” and he said that he just wanted to preserve the “brilliant strategy” inherent in the system that the founding fathers had designed.
Bash began by saying that she had spoken to a number of Democrats who view Manchin as an obstacle in the way of a very ambitious agenda — an agenda that’s ambitious in part because they understand that, historically, the president’s party was destined to lose seats in the midterm elections.
“So they believe that you’re one of the main roadblocks on getting those goals accomplished. How do you respond to that?” Bash asked.
“I’m not a roadblock at all,” Manchin pushed back, saying that the best way to keep a majority is to govern well. “The best politics is good government. I can’t believe that people believe that if you just do it my way, that will give us the momentum to get through the next election.”
“We won’t give this system a chance to work,” Manchin continued. “I am not going to be part of blowing up this Senate of ours or basically this democracy of ours or the republic that we have … The House was designed to be hot as a fire cracker, we were designed to cool off, and that’s the founding fathers. It was a brilliant, brilliant strategy they looked at, so why can’t we try to make this work?” (Read more)

10. China behind another hack as U.S. cybersecurity issues mount - NBC
China is behind a newly discovered series of hacks against key targets in the U.S. government, private companies and the country’s critical infrastructure, cybersecurity firm Mandiant said Wednesday.
The hack works by breaking into Pulse Secure, a program that businesses often use to let workers remotely connect to their offices. The company announced Tuesday how users can check to see if they were affected but said the software update to prevent the risk to users won’t go out until May
.
The campaign is the third distinct and severe cyberespionage operation against the U.S. made public in recent months, stressing an already strained cybersecurity workforce. The U.S. government accused Russia in January of hacking nine government agencies via SolarWinds, a Texas software company widely used by American businesses and government agencies. In March, Microsoft blamed China for starting a free-for-all where scores of different hackers broke into organizations around the world through the Microsoft Exchange email program.
In all three campaigns, the hackers first used those programs to hack into victims' computer networks, then created backdoors to spy on them for months, if not longer. (Read more)

11. BREAKING! Newsom recall officially triggered as verified signature threshold met - Fox News
The effort to recall California Gov. Gavin Newsom has received the necessary number of verified signatures to trigger a recall election later this year. The California Secretary of State said on Monday that the threshold of verified signatures reported by counties, which was set at 1,495,709, had been met. The campaign collected more than 1.6 million verified signatures, according to the secretary of state’s office.
"This now triggers the next phase of the recall process, a 30-business-day period in which voters may submit written requests to county Registrars of Voters to remove their names from the recall petition," Secretary Weber said in a statement. "A recall election will be held unless a sufficient number of signatures are withdrawn."
If after those 30 days the effort retains enough signatories, the Department of Finance will be given 30 days to estimate the cost of the recall election, and after that a budget committee will have 30 calendar days to review those estimates before the Lieutenant Governor sets the date for the election.
The recall ballot would ask voters to choose "yes" or "no" on the question of removing Newsom from office, followed by a selection of replacement candidates. More than 50% of voters would be required to "yes" to remove him. Then, the candidate with the most votes is elected governor. (Fox News) Read more

Taking inventory of the prophetic end times

Since the election of Joe Biden as president, the world prophecy clock has advanced with disruption among those who are prophesied in the colossal end of days battle of Ezekiel 38 and by other prophets of the Bible. The prophecies of Christ in Matthew 24, of Daniel 9, 1st and 2nd Thessalonians (4 and 2 respectively), Psalm 83, Revelation 2, 13, and others all seem to be vibrating, awakening, and bear watching by the followers of Christ. Biden, like Obama before him, has shaken the spiritual dimension with his actions toward the major players such as Turkey, Iran, and most of all, Israel. Israel, in of itself, is experiencing a lack of stability and threats from all its borders and from within.
In Ezekiel 38:3-8, the Lord says, “Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: and I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army…Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them…against the mountains of Israel…” These areas coincide with modern Turkey, Iran, Sudan, Libya, and parts of Iraq, even Saudi Arabia. Biden is pressuring nations to release billions of dollars impounded by sanctions against Iran for violating nuclear non-proliferation agreements. At the same time, he is wishing to reenter the Iranian nuclear deal, which is a threat to Israel. Biden’s recognition of Turkey’s Ottoman Empire genocide of Armenians, while applauded, caused Turkey to threaten to work closer with Iran, Russia and China. Turkey is where Gog of Magog (antichrist/beast) arises.
Israel has its own set of seemingly prophetic problems. Terrorist groups Hamas, Hezbollah and the Palestinians are all attacking various areas in Israel. These groups are supported by Iran. Additionally, Israel has been unable to form a government because of political disruption. COVID 19 has raised a type and shadow of the antichrist/Beast government by forcing COVID passports to actually buy, sell and travel freely in the nation. COVID is a game changer. It demonstrates how quickly a world event brings leaders into alignment and forces people through fear and intimidation into compliance. These events are similar to those that are foretold by the prophets leading up to the appearance of the antichrist/beast.
As the Apostle Paul wrote in 2nd Thessalonians 2:1-4, “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him. That you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. We are not there yet, but in taking prophetic inventory we are witnessing the advance of the prophecy clock.
The U.S. Census Bureau on Monday announced that six states, mostly in the South and Mountain regions, would gain seats in the U.S. House of Representatives based on updated population data results, while seven states were set to lose one seat apiece.
Texas will gain two seats, the most out of any U.S. state. Colorado, Florida, Montana, North Carolina and Oregon each gained one seat.
Texas and Florida both fell short of expectations, and demographers explained that the 2020 census counts were slightly lower than population estimates.
On the other hand, seven states, including California, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, were set to lose one seat in the chamber each.
If 89 additional people had been counted in the state of New York, experts said it would not have lost a seat in the chamber.
Both New York and California experienced negative net domestic migration, with more people moving out of the states than moving in over the past 10 years.
Researchers said they were "very confident" in the data when members of the media brought up questions about why the results did not line up with expectations in some cases. (Fox News) Read more.
Idaho Legislature Passes Bill Banning Abortion
after Detectable Heartbeat
An embryonic heartbeat can be detected on ultrasound as early as six weeks. The bill would ensure that preborn children with a heartbeat would be protected from abortion though the bill contains exceptions for rape, incest, or threats to the mother's life. In actuality, deliberately destroying a preborn human being is never medically necessary.
A preborn child's heart begins to beat between 16 and 22 days after fertilization. According to the American Pregnancy Association, by four to five weeks the child has arm and leg buds and the early structures that will become the eyes and ears are forming.
Six weeks from fertilization, when the embryonic heartbeat is detectable.
. . . According to the Associated Press, the bill contains a "trigger provision," and will not go into effect unless a federal appeals court in the US upholds a similar law from another state. Other heartbeat bills throughout the country have faced lawsuits, and proponents of the Idaho bill have hopes that it will help to overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion through the US
The current Idaho heartbeat bill is the third version to be reviewed by the Senate. The second version was scrapped after it passed the Senate and went to the House, where wording that would protect abortionists who commit abortions in cases of rape, incest, or medical emergency was questioned. The updated version allows for abortionists to be prosecuted for committing an abortion for any reason once a heartbeat is detected. Under this bill, women who undergo an abortion can sue the abortionist.

'Extinct' Highly Venomous Sea Snake Rediscovered in Ocean's Twilight Zone
Last week, scientists conducting research on Western Australia's Ashmore Reef became the first humans to lay eyes on a short-nosed sea snake at the site in more than two decades. Olive-colored and critically endangered, the snakes have been thought locally extinct for 23 years.
Like cobras, taipans, and death adders, the short-nosed sea snake is a member of the Elapidae family, meaning that it possesses short, hollow fixed fangs capable of injecting predominantly neurotoxic venom.
In short, it's not an animal you want to encounter in the course of a swim. Luckily for them, the scientists were safe inside a research vessel "equipped with advanced robotic technologies" at the time of rediscovery, according to ABC Science.
"The robot was looking at a dead shell and [the researchers] were trying to pick it up and it had a sea snake sitting next to it," Blanche D'Anastasi, a sea snake expert at the Australian Institute of Marine Science, said. "They asked to zoom in on it and they [both] realized straight away it was a short-nosed sea snake. They contacted me soon after and were like, 'Is this what we think it is?'"

The Tower of David Museum in Jerusalem announced the discovery of a rare silver "Tyre Coin." This coin was likely used to pay the Temple Tax during the reign of King Herod.

Kamal Saleem* experienced the trauma of a car accident when his neck was broken in two places and then was shocked that his Christian surgeon invited him to recover in his home. Why don’t you call on the Father of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob?’ I fell on my knees and put my hands to the heavens immediately as I heard the voice. I cried out with every fiber within me, ‘God of Father Abraham, if You are real, would You speak to me? I want to know You.’ Well, God of Father Abraham came to the room and filled the room with His glory. His name is Yahweh; the Lord is one. He has holes in His hands. He has holes in His feet. His name is Jesus. I said to Him, ‘Who are you, my Lord? Who are you?’ He said, ‘I am that I am.’ I said, ‘I’m a simple man with a simple mind. What is that supposed to mean?’ He said, ‘I am the Alpha. I am the Omega. I am the beginning. I am the end. I am everything that is in between. I have known you before I formed the foundation of the earth. I have loved you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Rise up! Rise up, Kamal. Come. You are my warrior. You are not their warrior.’ I said to Him, ‘My Lord, I will live and die for you.’ He said, ‘Do not die for me. I died for you so that you may live.’”
