President Donald Trump delivered his first public address since yesterday’s Capitol Hill protest. He vowed to punish his supporters and voters who entered the Capitol building and pledged to continue fighting from outside the Oval Office while also pledging an orderly transition of power to Joe Biden, who he maintains was fraudulently elected.
"I know you are disappointed, but I also want you to know that our incredible journey is only just beginning."
TRANSCRIPT:
I would like to begin by addressing the heinous attack on the United States Capitol. Like all Americans, I am outraged by the violence, lawlessness and mayhem. I immediately deployed the national guard and federal law enforcement to secure the building and expel the intruders. America is and must always be a nation of law and order. The demonstrators who infiltrated the Capitol have defiled the seat of American democracy. To those who engaged in the acts of violence and destruction, you do not represent our country, and to those who broke the law, you will pay.
We have just been through an intense election, and emotions are high. But now tempers must be cooled, and calm restored. We must get on with the business of America. My campaign vigorously pursued every legal avenue to contest the election results. My only goal was to ensure the integrity of the vote. In so doing, I was fighting to defend American democracy. I continue to strongly believe that we must reform our election laws, to verify the identity and eligibility of all voters, and to ensure faith and confidence in all future elections. Now Congress has certified the results, a new administration will be inaugurated on January 20th. My focus now turns to ensuring a smooth, orderly and seamless transition of power. This moment calls for healing and reconciliation.
2020 has been a challenging time for our people. A menacing pandemic has upended the lives of our citizens, isolated millions in their homes, damaged our economy, and claimed countless lives. Defeating this pandemic and rebuilding the greatest economy on Earth will require all of us working together. It will require a renewed emphasis on the civic values of patriotism, faith, charity, community, and family. We must revitalize the sacred bonds of love and loyalty that bind us together as one national family.
To the citizens of our country, serving as your President has been the honor of my lifetime, and to all my wonderful supporters, I know you are disappointed, but I also want you to know that our incredible journey is only just beginning. Thank you, God bless you, and God bless America.
JOB 34:10-33 / NEW LIVING TRANSLATION / CHECK OUT VERSE 30
10 “Listen to me, you who have understanding.
Everyone knows that God doesn’t sin!
The Almighty can do no wrong.
11 He repays people according to their deeds.
He treats people as they deserve.
12 Truly, God will not do wrong.
The Almighty will not twist justice.
13 Did someone else put the world in his care?
Who set the whole world in place?
14 If God were to take back his spirit
and withdraw his breath,
15 all life would cease,
and humanity would turn again to dust.
16 “Now listen to me if you are wise.
Pay attention to what I say.
17 Could God govern if he hated justice?
Are you going to condemn the almighty judge?
18 For he says to kings, ‘You are wicked,’
and to nobles, ‘You are unjust.’
19 He doesn’t care how great a person may be,
and he pays no more attention to the rich than to the poor.
He made them all.
20 In a moment they die.
In the middle of the night they pass away;
the mighty are removed without human hand.
21 “For God watches how people live;
he sees everything they do.
22 No darkness is thick enough
to hide the wicked from his eyes.
23 We don’t set the time
when we will come before God in judgment.
24 He brings the mighty to ruin without asking anyone,
and he sets up others in their place.
25 He knows what they do,
and in the night he overturns and destroys them.
26 He strikes them down because they are wicked,
doing it openly for all to see.
27 For they turned away from following him.
They have no respect for any of his ways.
28 They cause the poor to cry out, catching God’s attention.
He hears the cries of the needy.
29 But if he chooses to remain quiet,
who can criticize him?
When he hides his face, no one can find him,
whether an individual or a nation.
30 He prevents the godless from ruling
so they cannot be a snare to the people.
31 “Why don’t people say to God, ‘I have sinned,
but I will sin no more’?
32 Or ‘I don’t know what evil I have done—tell me.
If I have done wrong, I will stop at once’?
33 “Must God tailor his justice to your demands?
But you have rejected him!
The choice is yours, not mine.
NO KING BUT JESUS
WE BEHELD HIS BEAUTY IN 202O
WE ARE DONE WITH SIN IN 2021
WE ARE DONE WITH COVID IN 2021
WE ARE DONE WITH RIOTS IN 2021`
WE ARE DONE WITH ELECTION FRAUD IN 2021
WE ARE DONE WITH VACCINES IN 2021
REVIVAL FOR SURVIVAL.
THE YEAR WE REDEEM ALL AMERICA
I SPEAK BLESSINGS OF PEACE (NOTHING MISSING, NOTHING BROKEN,
EVERYTHING IN ORDER) TO YOU AND YOURS.
HOW GREAT AND GOOD IS OUR GOD!
FIZZLE! FIZZLE! FIZZLE! TO THE PLANS OF THE ENEMY!
…For God’s plans are unshakable.
