Samuel Dale Brownback (born September 12, 1956) is an American attorney, politician, diplomat and member of the Republican Party who has served as the United States Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom since February 2018. Brownback previously served as the Secretary of Agriculture of Kansas (1986-93), as the U.S. Representative for Kansas's 2nd congressional district (1995-96), as a United States Senator from Kansas (1996-2011) and the 46th Governor of Kansas (2011-18).
Throughout his life, Sam Brownback has been known to be a true gentleman, exhibiting a Christlike character to all whom he meets along the way. His humble spirit is truly a blessing to all.
In his role as Ambassador-at-Large for Religious Freedom, Sam Brownback has worked tirelessly promoting religious freedom around the world. No matter where he travels: Sam Brownback works to defend the rights of men and women of all faiths to be able to practice their faith freely, without government interference.
Ambassador Brownback and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo initiated the first-ever Global Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom, inviting leaders of all faiths to convene in Washington, D.C. to support a common goal allowing their own citizens the right to practice their faith without governmental interference. Ministerials have since been held twice now in Washington, giving birth to other ministerials in nations across the world.
As a result of their work, President Trump then issued an Executive Order on Advancing International Religious Freedom on June 2, 2020. (To read this decree, pleasego here.)
In summary, today we honor this quiet man of faith and of courage, Sam Brownback, who serves our Lord and our nation as a standard bearer for religious freedom around the world. We count it a privilege to pray for God's richest blessings to fall upon Ambassador Brownback, his wife, Mary, and all in his houseshold during these difficult days. Amen!

Today's Prayer
"Father God, today we bring our Ambassador for Religious Freedom, Sam Brownback, before Your Throne of Grace. In his role as an "Ambassador at Large," we realize that our brother has been called not to serve as an ambassador to any one nation, but as an ambassador to ALL nations.
In his unique role, Father God, we ask that You would grace Ambassador Brownback with a double measure of strength for this job. We ask, too, that You would grant him Your wisdom as he meets with the leaders of many different nations, working to guarantee the rights of religious freedom for all people.
Lord God, we ask, too, for Your protection to rest upon Ambassador Brownback as he travels. Keep him free of the Corona virus and of all other afflictions. Shield him, Lord God, with Your Hand of mercy, in Your name.
And finally, Abba Father, we ask that You bless and protect his wife, Mary, and all other family members who remain on the home front as he serves the nations for You.
Thank You, Holy One, for hearing our prayers, in Your name, amen."

What is "The Siege?"
Radical activist group plans to "lay siege to" and "occupy" White House in September
The radical activist group that takes credit for the #OccupyWallStreet movement in 2011 has announced plans to occupy the White House next month. Adbusters, a digital publication that describes itself as "a global network" determined to "advance the new social activist movement of the information age," issued a post dubbed "#WhiteHouseSiege - Tactical Briefing #1."
"It's been nine years since we set off the political earthquake of #OccupyWallStreet, laying siege to NYC's Zuccotti Park and inspiring thousands of similar protests around the world," the post reads. "The Occupy anniversary arrives September 17th, 2020. And it may be the perfect day to trigger another global big-bang moment - a massive collective action of the sweetest kind of disobedience."
"It's time again for dramatic, decisive action. Which is why, on September 17th, in the original and enduring spirit of Occupy, we and tens of thousands of our fellow citizens will stream into Lafayette Square, in Washington. D.C," the post continued. "We will lay siege to the White House. And we will sustain it for exactly 50 days. This is the #WhiteHouseSiege."
Our Response:
Our strategy
In confronting this enemy, we will follow Christ's example. Accordingly, every day for the next 40 days, we will join forces with prayer points, Scriptures, and worship to confront the enemy at the gates and to render him null and void.
We will begin now, and end on Sunday, September 20, just after the siege of the enemy has begun. BUT. by the grace of GOD, the enemy will instead find a big surprise at that gate: the LOVE OF JESUS, with His Hands extended towards each one, waiting to welcome them home.
By marshallng our forces in advance, just as was done this month in Austin, Texas, the plans of the enemy will be routed and OUR GOD WILL REIGN on the streets of Washington, D.C.!
Please note . . .
When lifting up prayer about these "enemy troops," our intercession is in fact aimed towards the forces in the heavenlies that are holding them captive!
It is written:
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12)
"Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand." (Ephesians 6:13)
Let us now stand together, dressed in the full armor of God in this evil day, at the gate of the highest authority in this land, praying for our nation, our President, and our upcoming elections.
In His Amazing Grace, we invite all of you to join us as we LAY SIEGE TO THE SIEGE IN WASHINGTON, D.C.
