Preparing to Pray for our Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo
Today we have the great honor and privilege of lifting up our Secretary of State, Mke Pompeo. before the Throne of grace.
Serving as the chief spokesman to the nations for the Trump administration, Mike Pompeo is almost constantly on the road, serving as our ambassador of goodwill to all. His chief mission is to support the President's agenda on the international front, which he has carried out without exception. Indeed, Secretary of State Pompeo and President Trump work well together and present a united front to the world. More importantly, they share a solid trust in the Lord who is clearly orchestrating their steps.
Secretary of State Pompeo is known for his kind and gentle nature, yet one who also carries a "big stick" and who can rule with an iron rod of authority when called to do so. In his time in office, Secretary Pompeo has encouraged and strengthened the hands of our allies, all the while challenging other nations who do not stand alongside us. Most recently, those nations include:
-- China, whose provocative actions in the South China Sea have endangered our ally, Taiwan.
-- Iran: President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday he had directed Pompeo to notify the United Nations Security Council that the United States intends to restore virtually all previously suspended UN sanctions on Iran. Trump's move to activate the "snapback" comes after the UN Security Council rejected the US resolution to extend the arms embargo on Iran, which is due to expire in October.

- North Korea, who, despite President Trump's efforts to reach out to this nation and its dictatorship, continues its sabre-rattling actions to this day.
Let's join in prayer today for this mighty man of God, thanking our Lord for placing Mike Pompeo as our Secretary of State.
Today's Prayer
Father God, we lift up Secretary of State Mike Pompeo before Your Throne of Grace.
We thank You for placing this mighty man of God in this position, to serve as a support to President Trump, and as a blessing to our nation.
Lord God, we ask today that You would grace Mike Pompeo with health, with rest, with strength, with wisdom, and with Your tangible presence in his life every day.
We thank You for the promise of Your Word, because it is written: "When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him." (Proverbs 16:7) Father God, we know that Secretary Pompeo has given his life to You, so Your covenant of blessing rests upon him continually. We thank You, then, that even when he must face America's enemies at the negotiating table, Your word promises that he WILL have favor with them. Hallelujah!
And Lord, we also bring his family before You . . . both his wife, Susan, and his son, Nick. We claim the protection of Psalm 91 over them all today, and always

What is "The Siege?"
Radical activist group plans to "lay siege to" and "occupy" White House in September
The radical activist group that takes credit for the #OccupyWallStreet movement in 2011 has announced plans to occupy the White House next month. Adbusters, a digital publication that describes itself as "a global network" determined to "advance the new social activist movement of the information age," issued a post dubbed "#WhiteHouseSiege - Tactical Briefing #1."
"It's been nine years since we set off the political earthquake of #OccupyWallStreet, laying siege to NYC's Zuccotti Park and inspiring thousands of similar protests around the world," the post reads. "The Occupy anniversary arrives September 17th, 2020. And it may be the perfect day to trigger another global big-bang moment - a massive collective action of the sweetest kind of disobedience."
"It's time again for dramatic, decisive action. Which is why, on September 17th, in the original and enduring spirit of Occupy, we and tens of thousands of our fellow citizens will stream into Lafayette Square, in Washington. D.C," the post continued. "We will lay siege to the White House. And we will sustain it for exactly 50 days. This is the #WhiteHouseSiege."
Our Response:
Our strategy
In confronting this enemy, we will follow Christ's example. Accordingly, every day for the next 40 days, we will join forces with prayer points, Scriptures, and worship to confront the enemy at the gates and to render him null and void.
We will begin now, and end on Sunday, September 20, just after the siege of the enemy has begun. BUT. by the grace of GOD, the enemy will instead find a big surprise at that gate: the LOVE OF JESUS, with His Hands extended towards each one, waiting to welcome them home.
By marshallng our forces in advance, just as was done this month in Austin, Texas, the plans of the enemy will be routed and OUR GOD WILL REIGN on the streets of Washington, D.C.!
Please note . . .
When lifting up prayer about these "enemy troops," our intercession is in fact aimed towards the forces in the heavenlies that are holding them captive!
It is written:
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12)
"Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand." (Ephesians 6:13)
Let us now stand together, dressed in the full armor of God in this evil day, at the gate of the highest authority in this land, praying for our nation, our President, and our upcoming elections.
