Offering Prayers for White House Staff
Today's Verse
IT IS WRITTEN:
Philippians 4:6,7
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Today's Commentary
Please note:
Last week, President Trump signed an Executive Order, decreeing that the date of December 24th would be a federal holiday, along with Christmas Day. This order was to take effect for all federal employees, except those who serve in the military.
Accordingly, the following report was heard here in Washington, D,C, over our "all news" radio station: WTOP. This news was broadcast yesterday: Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at about 1:00 p.m.
"We have just received this report: late this morning, staffers inside the White House all received an email, directing each one to do the following before they leaver their offices today for the holiday weekend: 1. Remove any personal items from your office 2. Clean out your desk drawers 3. Be sure to empty out any refrigerators and 4. Be sure to empty out your microwave ovens."
(Editor's note: WTOP did not identify the source of this email message.)
They then continued:
"That email went out about one-half hour ago, but now we have received news of a second email, just released, that countermands that order, stating that it is not to be followed, but to leave their offices "as is" when they exit the building today."
(Again, WTOP did not identify the source of this email message, either.)
Let us pray:
Today's Prayer
"Father God, today we lift up each staff member who has been working inside the White House to support President Trump and his agenda. We bind all spirits of chaos, confusion, apprehension, anxiety, and fear from their offices and their minds, and we loose the peace of God, which passes all understanding, to guard their minds and their hearts in Christ Jesus.
In this time of severe testing, we ask for supernatural strength in the inner man, trusting You to release Your grace upon each one. May they remain fully focused on the task at hand every hour that they are at work; and may You give each one a time of refreshing rest during this holiday weekend. We offer this prayer in Your Name, amen and amen."

ALERT! BREAKING News!
Air Force launches massive response to joint Russia, China taunt
The U.S. Air Force is flexing its muscle in a dramatic show of force in response to increasingly alarming joint Russian and Chinese bomber patrol missions over the Pacific.
The Air Force’s 354th Fighter Wing and the Alaska Air National Guard’s 168th Wing recently staged exercises at Eielson Air Force Base, located about 25 miles southeast of Fairbanks.
The formation — known in military parlance as an elephant walk — is meant to test the rapid readiness of every flying unit at the base, Air Force officials said.
“The elephant walk isn’t only to practice our abilities to respond quickly,” said Col. David Skalicky, operations group commander for the 354th Fighter Wing. “This is to show our airmen who work behind the scenes what Eielson (Air Force Base) is about. It’s about showing our strength in the Arctic arena.”
Sen. Dan Sullivan, a Republican from Alaska, said Russia is making a concerted effort to control the Arctic.
“Russia has opened sixteen deep-water ports, fourteen airfields, built Arctic military bases and even formed a new northern Arctic command,” he said. “In recent months, Russian provocation has only increased. In fact, Vladimir Putin has referred to the northern sea route as the new Suez Canal, which he says Russia intends to fully control.”
The Air Force usage of “elephant walk” dates to World War II when large fleets of bombers would taxi down the runway in single file formation. Observers at the time said it looked like a herd of elephants walking to the next watering hole.
At Eielson Air Force Base, the “elephants” included 18 F-35a Lightning II stealth fighters, 12 F-16 Fighting Falcons and two KC-135 Stratotankers. The drill involves the long procession taxiing in close formation before taking off in a show of combat airpower.
“We proved what our team is capable of,” said Col. David Berkland, commander of the 354th Fighter Wing. “Stay tuned, because our combat capability will continue to grow.”

Powerful Statement by Rush Limbaugh
Rush Limbaugh urges U.S. to reject Biden ‘darkest days’ mentality during cancer update
Radio host Rush Limbaugh blasted President-elect Joseph R. Biden this week for telling the nation that its “darkest days in the battle against COVID are ahead of us.”
The conservative icon made the comments during an inspirational speech regarding his fight with stage-4 terminal lung cancer.
“Folks, I have to tell you, if I were president-elect of the country, it’s the last thing I would say,” Mr. Limbaugh said Wednesday. “Even if I believed it, I doubt that I would put it this way. But I don’t believe this anyway. Our darkest days are ahead of us? What a bleak way of looking at things. … [It’s] weird, given that Biden has repeatedly claimed that it’s Trump who’s killing Americans with COVID.”
Mr. Limbaugh said that terminal cancer has only re-enforced his stance that “there’s good that happens in everything” and that perseverance coupled with faith allows “the good” in a specific tribulation to “reveal itself.”
. . . Mr. Limbaugh said that he did not know what 2021 would bring in terms of his cancer fight, but he implored his audience to reject Mr. Biden’s “darkest days” expectations.
“Our freedom has allowed our adaptability,” he said. “If disaster is coming our way, we don’t just sit there and endure it. We come up with ways to avoid it, to beat it back, to overcome it, but we don’t just sit there and accept it. And, as such, we don’t just resign ourselves to the fact that they’re living in the darkest days because we, at least to this point, still have the greatest degree of freedom of any people on earth.
“Now, it’s under assault and under attack and we all know this. But I don’t believe our darkest days are ahead of us. I never have. People have been asking, ‘You’ve always told us you’d tell us when it’s time to panic. Is it time?’ It’s never time to panic, folks. It’s never, ever gonna be time to give up on our country. It will never be time to give up on the United States.”
