While I’m in the midst of this 40 day fast, I’m spending less and less time emailing. Keeping up with my phone messages is as much as I can do at this time. I’m finding that my senses in the Spirit are becoming sharper, and my passion for righteousness, justice, and truth are increasing. The Lord is calling for more fire in the intercession of the Body of Messiah, while at the same time, He is providing that fire for us supernaturally. The Remnant Body of Messiah is coming together as a functional family and army in incredible ways. During this time, I am locking arms and hearts, on a daily basis, with many fellow believers in the fight all around the world. Warfare strategy is coming together and much ground is being taken by the Kingdom of YHVH. It took the distress and unrighteousness of our day to get us on our feet, to join us together before the Lord, and to open up our mouths to speak out in our spheres of influence. It’s time! Our Divine Abba, wants victory for us. He wants the forces of evil humiliated and taken down. He wants to bless His children, as well as to restore and to lead us in the way of His truth.
Some people, who speaking within the prophetic community, are saying that YHVH is disgusted with America, and that He is finished with this nation. They go on to say that our assured, utter destruction is coming, unless a massive repentance takes place nationally. I have some concerns about that. It has always been the remnant Body of Messiah that has stood in the gap to intercede, and to confess the sin of our nations; seeking mercy from the hand of YHVH. YHVH has always honored that intercession. (Remember how the Lord used Rees Howells and his prayer group in WW2 to turn the tide). We are even told in Scripture, that since His death, burial, and resurrection, when our Messiah took the sin of the world upon Himself, that Yeshua now stands before the Father as a Great Intercessor for the Redeemed and for all His children. I don’t believe for a minute that America has lost her destiny. She simply hasn’t fulfilled it … greatly, because the church has failed to be the strong salt and light that she was called to be. I believe that is true for all the nations that the Lord has established in the world. In addition, satan, the Great Deceiver, has had his team empowered, well coached, and well infiltrated, into all power positions of this nation, and of all the nations … including within the church structures. Without question, our nations have sinned, and in many ways, rejected YHVH. We deserve judgment, and yet we have a Divine Father, who prefers mercy over judgment. We could learn a lesson from His character on this point. YHVH has been searching for a remnant, who would cry out for mercy, and I believe He now has that Remnant. We must cry out day and night; believing that we have a loving Father, not a God, who delights in dishing out harsh punishment. Judgement can be an act of mercy. It can course correct nations and individuals.
I think it’s safe to say that the Lord allowed Obama to be put into office as a judgment of America, even as allowing the Covid conspiracy to materialize as it has, is a judgment to wake up the deceived and the sleepers … both in the church/synagogue and in the secular community. We have needed to see the expanse of Evil’s power in our world … a development that happened on our watch. The judgements of YHVH are intended to take us through something to a good place, through His mercy, not to utter ruin. It is Evil that comes to utter ruin in the presence of YHVH’s judgment against it. Our flesh is to die in the process of judgment, and learning is to occur. But our spirits are intended to arise into the clear truth of our dependency upon our loving, Eternal Father. We must not forget that the sacrifice, made by Yeshua on the cross, impacts the course and the nature of YHVH’s judgment. Even harsh prophesies that point out our sin and rebellion, are to offer an element of hope. Why? Because we have a God of all Hope. If you are hearing prophesies that create fear and hopelessness, shake them off. Warnings/prophesies that come with hope and a future … along with the help and mercy of the Lord being offered … are the ones to hold on to. We have failed to obey YHVH, so now we are in a mess. As we become aware of our contributions to our own misery, we can grab hold of an opportunity to seek the Lord’s help and His forgiveness … as well as His instructions concerning how to turn it around; taking back ground and appealing for an outpouring of revival yet to come.
Meanwhile, our Heavenly Father is well aware that the Enemy has wickedly lied and deceived the people, and set them up in deceitful traps for slaughter. YHVH’s compassion is moved toward us, when His ire burns hot against those, who intentionally deceive us. Those who cheat and lie, so that they can create wickedness and destruction against the innocent and righteous … those seeking wicked advantage for their own gain … come right into the center of the Lord’s judgment crosshairs. Let’s let Him be Lord of All. Let’s repent of our own sins, and confess the sins of our nations; seeking His forgiveness and mercy on all fronts. But then, let’s allow Him to set, and to deliver, the judgments necessary to wake up the people, and to cause our eyes to be open, so that we can see how far we have drifted from His course of blessing. Let’s not toss our nations and populations into the fire, because we are angry at the level of blindness, rebellion, and foolishness that the non-believing population is demonstrating. As my wise grandmother once told me: “If a blind person, walking down the street, crashes into you from behind, you don’t rage at him because he is unable to see. A blind person can’t see, so you don’t get angry that he doesn’t see. There are times when the blind man will be unable to walk without negatively impacting the journey of others. We are to show compassion for his blindness; both forgiving the crash, as well as extending help and mercy to set him on a safe course.”
Satan has horrifically BLINDED the human populations of the world. The masses can’t see the truth because they are blind. Our job, as YHVH’s children, is to pray for their sight to be restored. Additionally, we are to redirect them by Godly, patient, instruction as they are willing (and able) to hear it. We are called to bear the insults of offenses, and to forgive the injuries that we will suffer until they CAN see. Keep in mind that YHVH HATES EVIL, but He loves His imperfect children. His judgments are given in love to awaken us to His truth, and to course correct us … not to destroy us. His judgments upon evil bring its utter destruction. The Love of YHVH is our hope. Yeshua didn’t come to CONDEMN the world but to save it … and that includes our very sinful nations. Intercede, confess the sins, but don’t let the fire of offense cloud the truth about WHO HE IS! Don’t allow human hearts to overshadow His heart. Don’t throw your nation into the hell fire! Pray that the passionate intercession of the remnant Body of Messiah will be sufficient for the Lord to turn the nation. Pray for revival and for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Pray for the tares of evil influences to be gathered up and bundled by the angels of the Lord, so that they might be removed and prevented from deceiving and destroying our nations any further. Pray for the Harvest to begin. The sound of a shofar is blowing, but it’s not the sound of retreat or exit. It’s the sound that declares, “the victory is assured … the battle is won, but you must press on to drive out the foe, not just allow him stand in defeat where he is right now. Drive him out completely in utter humiliation!”
I am very aware of how fatiguing this spiritual battle has been for most intercessors … especially those on the front lines. I know, for me personally, operating as a prophetic watchman, at times it has been discouraging to see how horrifically our world has been infiltrated and handed over to satan and to his operatives. It’s been heartbreaking to see the horrific lack of discernment and wisdom that has been demonstrated by spiritual leaders and believers in general. So many totally missed seeing the ploy of the Enemy. They didn’t recognize satan’s operatives, and ended up embracing them, supporting them and obeying them. This is the season of the empowered watchmen on the walls; shouting warning and declaring truth to those, who don’t have the view that those on the walls of intercession may have. To encourage you, and to support you, I have some points for you to consider in the fulfillment of your assignments.
First be aware of the commission that intercessors have, as watchmen on the walls:
Here are words that the Lord spoke to Ezekiel. Whenever the Lord says the very same thing on two occasions, He is cementing that word in place, as being an immovable truth, of which we must to take note.
Ezekiel 3:17-19. (NASB)
17“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me. 18 If I say to the wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him or speak out to warn him from his wicked way to save his life, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, and I will hold you responsible for his blood. 19 But if you warn a wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness and his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you will have saved yourself.…
Ezekiel 33:1-9
1 Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, speak to the sons of your people and say to them, ‘If I bring a sword upon a land, and the people of the land take one man from among them and make him their watchman, 3 and he sees the sword coming upon the land and blows the shofar and warns the people, 4 then someone who hears the sound of the shofar, but does not take warning, and a sword comes and takes him away, his blood will be on his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the shofar but did not take warning; his blood will be on himself. But had he taken warning, he would have saved his life. 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the shofar and the people are not warned, and a sword comes and takes a person from them, he is taken away for his wrongdoing; but I will require his blood from the watchman’s hand.’
7“Now as for you, son of man, I have appointed you as a watchman for the house of Israel; so you will hear a message from My mouth and give them a warning from Me. 8 When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will certainly die,’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked about his way, that wicked person shall die for his wrongdoing, but I will require his blood from your hand. 9 But if you, on your part, warn a wicked person to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he will die for his wrongdoing, but you have saved your life.
What all the means is this: If the Lord shows the intercessors and prophets a threat that the Enemy is presenting against the people, and they remain silent about it, YHVH will charge them for the loss of life that occurred because of failing to raise the warning. It means that what the Lord reveals as His confirmed truth in a situation, is something that we become responsible for and must share with others. For some intercessors to say that they had a sense from the Lord months ago that these vax shots were a means to a wicked end, but then didn’t say anything, (because they didn’t think anyone would listen … or were afraid about how people would respond to them) they are in trouble before the Lord for not declaring the warning … and thus allowing many to step into the trap. Immediate and deep repentance is required in that situation. While the Lord may not actually take the life of that person (because of the mercy granted by Yeshua), there will certainly losses, and heavy terms of accountability that will be costly.
The power of intercessors for changing situations on the ground, and in the spiritual realm, are very great … especially when they operate in unity. Prophets are certainly a particular type of watchmen on the wall of protection for the nations, but so are intercessors. We must know how to do our job well. Here are some thoughts and some characteristics of a watchman for you to consider. Note: for simplicity I’m not writing “watchwoman” or “watchperson”. I’m going to keep the term as the Lord had it written in scripture, although we know that both woman and men fall under that term: watchmen.
QUALITIES AND MODES OF OPERATION FOR WATCHMEN ON THE WALLS OF INTERCESSION:
**THE WATCHMAN HEARS THE VOICE OF THE LORD CLEARLY AND OBEYS IT INSTANTLY … He/she has the highest vision and the clearest view, because of knowledge of the scriptures, and from listening for the voice of the Lord as a humble discipline. He/she warns of threats before the people see or perceive the Enemy’s approach.
**THE WATCHMEN HAVE DISCERNMENT … THEY’RE NOT EASILY DECEIVED … THEY SEE HOAXES AND TRICKS … the watchmen seek the Lord for the gift of discernment, and go to the Lord for insight established in His truth, whenever something doesn’t seem right. They often learn to be sharp in discernment after having been tricked or deceived a few times. Regardless of what people around them say, or what news media, or powerful people declare, the discernment from the Lord stands as their authorative truth. They seek confirmation in the Word, and from the Holy Spirit continually, but they don’t step back from the revelation because it might be unpopular to the undiscerning.
**THE WATCHMEN HAVE SHARP FOCUS … THEY CAN ZOOM IN CLOSELY, OR APPLY LONG DISTANCE VISION, ACCORDING TO THE CHANGING DEPTH OF FIELD ASE AN ENEMY APPROACHES. They watch for a change in the sound, scenery, atmosphere, or environment. They watch for movement on the ground or above it. They focus where the Lord directs them to watch/listen.
**THE WATCHMEN ARE STEADFAST AND COMMITTED … When the hours are long, and when relief doesn’t appear as expected, they continue to stay on the job. They understand that lives and souls depend upon them serving in this role.
**THE WATCHMEN ARE NOT REACTIONARY … THEY AVOID FALSE ALARMS … The watchmen don’t operate in knee-jerk fashion. They don’t react to a rustle in the weeds, but instead focus and watch to discern if there is an enemy in the weeds, or a rabbit. Their emotions don’t drive them to respond. The Holy Spirit leads them to respond, and to understand the situation.
**THE WATCHMEN ARE NOT INFUENCED BY THE CROWDS … Popular opinion has little influence on the watchman. Where the crowd might say, “This is just a conspiracy theory”, the watchman goes deeper into the Spirit, and watches more intently on developments, to see that it is a true conspiracy. When the conspiracy is revealed to the watchman, he/she sounds the alarm, even if people will slander or reject him/her.
**THE WATCHMEN ARE NOT EASILY DISTRACTED … The sounds of entertainment, and the pull of human appetites, can be ignored, or put on hold, when it comes to fulfilling a “watch keeping” assignment. The buzz of satan’s accusations and suggestions most often fail to have an impact, when it comes to completing the watch assignment.
**THE WATCHMEN HAVE A VOICE THAT CAN BE HEARD … They don’t have timid, quiet, little voices when it comes to shouting the alarm. They have a firmness and a respectful volume, that is difficult to ignore. Much of the harassment that comes against a watchman is BECAUSE there is a voice of authority in them, that the Enemy wants to silence. When a watchman speaks into the spiritual realm, giving a decree, or raising up intercession, the Enemy shudders.
**THE WATCHMEN HAVE KEEN EARS AS WELL AS SHARP EYES … They watchmen can hear the footfalls of the Enemy approaching in the Spirit. They can hear the smallest whisper of the Lord, or the tiniest cry of the captured little ones. In addition, some watchmen also have a sharp nose that can smell the presence of evil, or pick up the scent of something burning, which should not be on fire.
**THE WATCHMEN ARE READY TO FIGHT, BUT CALL OTHERS TO ARMS … The role of the watchman is to raise the alarm, so that others come into the battle to raise up a defense … so that the gates are closed before the Enemy can advance into the city. If the watchman is outside the city walls, and posted on a mountain top in order to raise a signal fire of warning, he/she will have weapons ready to fight if attacked before he/she can come into the shelter of the city walls. And yet, the watchmen on the walls will frequently not get into the hand-to-hand battle; but will call out the movements of the Enemy (that he/sees from her watch position), down to the defenders, so that they can know how and where to raise up the defense.
**THE WATCHMEN MAY NEED TO HAVE A BROAD SEARCH VIEW … At times, depending upon the terrain (whether mountains, hills, river, or plains … i.e. government, nation, family, or specific issue) the watchmen may have much territory to observe. They must be familiar with the territory in their assignment, so that they can pick up the slightest changes that might indicate an Enemy’s approach. The watchmen will become educated/informed as well as anointed.
**THE WATCHMEN HAVE STRONG NIGHT VISION … The Lord gives the watchmen night vision ability, so that they can pick up Enemy movements even when the lights go out … when communication are cut off … when the revelation/confirmation from others may be lacking … especially when the deception is so thick (heavy fog conditions) that the multitudes are duped and clueless to the ploys and attacks.
**THE WATCHMEN DO WELL ON LITTLE SLEEP … Watchmen are willing to stay up into the night to pray, listen and watch. They understand that the Enemy loves to make key moves in the thick of night, and in the deepest darkness of human ignorance. They know that if the Lord wants them up on the walls of intercession, that HE will provide manna sleep (where a little sleep has the effect of several hours of deep rest)
**THE WATCHMENT KEEP EYES MOVING, SO AS NOT TO GET MESMERIZED or FIXATED UPON SOMETHING UNIMPORTANT, OR MERELY FASCINATING … where our eyes fixate or rest, is often where our heart focuses or our mind obsesses. It is easy to stare ourselves into a state of disconnectedness from our assignment. Fixating can also lead to some fear. Watchmen keep their eyes moving until there is something that YHVH wants them to focus upon for a period of time. They don’t go down rabbit trails that fascinate them, but seek the priorities of the Lord for His chosen watch assignment.
** THE WATCHMEN HAVE CREDIBILITY WITH THE WAITING WARRIORS … THEY TRUST HIM/HER. Those, who will hear and receive the reports, warnings, and directions of the watchmen must have a relationship of trust with that watchman, for maximum protection of the community. They must know that the watchmen do their job because of LOVE and CONCERN … and for obedience to the call of the Lord. They are not ego trippers or controllers, who like to call the shot, or have all the key information, so that others admire and honor them. Those, who will respond most quickly to the warnings and messages of the watchmen, have seen a faithful track record of integrity and accuracy from the watchman. That trust grows over time and experience.
**THE WATCHMEN ARE HATED BY THE ENEMY … Satan and his operative literally HATE the watchmen on the walls. So many of their plans and ploys are destroyed as a result of the watchers’ faithful service, that the Enemy would love to destroy the watchmen, and take them down from the walls permanently. The watchmen need to protective cover of YHVH, as well as the prayers of others in the Body of Messiah. The hearts of the watchmen must be tender, but strong, to endure the attacks that are sure to come … usually after long hours of effective intercession.
**MUST BE COURAGEOUS AND FEARLESS … Fear messes with human perceptions and interpretations of what we see and hear. It short-circuits wise responses. The watchmen must kick fear off the walls and out of their hearts and minds. If they don’t, what they hear and see will be skewed; causing them to be reactionary, misjudging situations, and sending up false alarms or false comfort. Without courage, they could be prompted by threats and fear to abandon their posts; leaving many at risk.
There is much more that could be said about being an intercessor … a watchman on the walls in defense of, and for the promotion of, the Kingdom of YHVH. I hope this little bit gave you some insight into the key role that you and others play. Not everyone will have a strongly prophetic call as watchman, but regardless, any calling, or watch assignment entrusted to us, is incredibly important to the Lord, and to our world. Remember that as you research and pray: Always allow Yeshua to share the yoke of responsibility and intercession with you. Allow Him to carry the heaviest part. Too many intercessors are getting bogged down in heart and mind, because they have not done that. The weight of the oppression in these days could be crushing, if not merely discouraging. Know that I cherish each one of you and value each of your prayers. Keep your eyes up and focused upon the victory that is unfolding. Press on and don’t give up. Thank YHVH for the incredible things He is doing beyond our sight and understanding. HE IS WITH US! As we move together in Him, there is no way that we can lose.
