US ambassador: Two-state solution needed to ensure Israel remains a Jewish and democratic country
|
|
September 7, 2022 / JNS) U.S. Ambassador to Israel Thomas Nides on Wednesday said it is his guiding principle to advance a two-state solution with the Palestinians, because failure to do so is making it difficult to ensure his “North Star” of “maintaining Israel as both a Jewish and democratic state.”
Speaking to reporters at a briefing in Jerusalem, Nides noted that President Biden “articulated very clearly his support for a two-state solution” on his recent trip to Israel, and that “every speech that I give, Secretary [of State Antony] Blinken gives, that the president gives, that [Vice President] Kamala Harris gives, all reference that.
“In order to push for a two-state solution, we need to be doing things to help the Palestinian people,” Nides said. This primarily entails improving economic conditions. (JNS.org)

- O Holy God most high, our Messiah, we repent before You on bended knee for these words spoken against the land of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob by our Ambassador to Israel. Father God, we cannot support the dividing of Your land, for it is not ours to divide! Lord God, that land belongs to You and to You, only, and to try to divide it can only bring Your hand of judgment upon us! Help our leaders, O Lord, to repent of this dangerous slide to disaster and to instead align with Your will, and with Your will only, for the land of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Amen.
- "I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land." (Joel 3:2)

IAEA ‘cannot assure’ Iran nuke program peaceful; Tehran has enough material for bomb
|
|
VIENNA, Austria — The UN’s nuclear watchdog said Wednesday it could not guarantee the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program, saying there had been “no progress” in resolving questions over the past presence of nuclear material at undeclared sites.
In a report seen by AFP, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said it was “not in a position to provide assurance that Iran’s nuclear program is exclusively peaceful.”
It said IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi was “increasingly concerned that Iran has not engaged with the Agency on the outstanding safeguards issues during this reporting period and, therefore, that there has been no progress towards resolving them. (Times of Israel)

- Father God, we do thank You for this word of warning from the IAEA Director and we ask that the nations would take heed to his words. Lord God, Holy One, we ask that You would send forth legions of angels to dismantle and disable any and all nuclear weapons that are in the possession of the Iranian government. We bring this flashpoint before Your Throne of Grace, asking You to quell this danger. In Your name we offer this prayer, amen and amen!
- [To the Iranian government] "Thus far and NO FURTHER and here shall your proud waves STOP!" (Job 38:11)

Defense & National Security — US: Russia buying equipment from North Korea
|
|
Russia’s Ministry of Defense is purchasing millions of rockets and artillery shells from North Korea to bolster its forces in Moscow’s war in Ukraine, according to a U.S. official.
The official told The Hill that the assessment, which is based on downgraded
U.S. intelligence, is a sign of Moscow suffering from “severe” military supply shortages driven in part by export controls and economic sanctions imposed by the United States and its allies to punish Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine.
The U.S. anticipates Russia purchasing more North Korean military equipment in the future, the official said, without providing additional details on what type of equipment. The New York Times was first to report on intelligence suggesting Moscow was buying North Korean equipment.
Russian-North Korean ties: Russian President Vladimir Putin has vowed to deepen relations with North Korea, which is isolated due to international sanctions over its nuclear program, following Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine. (The Hill) Read more here.

- Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over this entire situation. We pray for peace, we pray for calm, we pray for diplomacy so that these weapons will not be used, in Jesus name. May there also be no expansion of nuclear weapons anywhere and that You, Almighty God, silence the drums of war in the earth, in Jesus name.

2. Rebuffing US, Lapid and Gantz say IDF ‘alone’ will determine rules of engagement - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Yair Lapid and Defense Minister Benny Gantz on Wednesday rejected American overtures for Israel to reexamine its military’s rules of engagement, after an IDF probe into the killing of Palestinian-American reporter Shireen Abu Akleh determined that errant fire from an Israeli soldier was likely responsible.
On Tuesday, US State Department Deputy Spokesman Vedant Patel said the US would “continue to press our Israeli partners to closely review its policies and practices on rules of engagement and consider additional steps to mitigate the risk of civilian harm, protect journalists and prevent similar tragedies in the future.”
“That is a key goal for us,” Patel said. (Read more)

1. Over a third of senior pastors believe 'good people' can earn their way to Heaven - Christian Post
At least a third of senior pastors in the United States believe one can earn a place in Heaven by simply being a good person, according to a nationwide survey.
The findings were among several surprising responses as part of a survey conducted earlier this year by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University.
The American Worldview Inventory 2022 examined more than three dozen beliefs held by pastors. Researchers found that in addition to believing that people can merit salvation based solely on their good works, one-third or more of senior pastors surveyed also believe the Holy Spirit is not a person but rather “a symbol of God’s power." Others said that moral truth is subjective; sexual relations between two unmarried people who love each other is “morally acceptable" and biblical teaching on abortion is “ambiguous.”
At least a third of those surveyed also said they believe “socialism is preferable to capitalism and that allowing property ownership facilitates economic injustice,” which researchers say could point to the “increase of cultural and political influence into the church.” (Read more)
- It grieves me to see anyone settle for a feel-good, yet empty, works-based “Christianity” that leaves them dead in their sins. Help me to communicate the true gospel. As I read Your word, reveal any unbiblical beliefs I may have adopted. Let Your Word dwell in us richly as we teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, doing everything in the name of the Lord Jesus by the power of His Spirit.

2. Inflation and Abortion are the Biggest Motivators for Young Voters in 2022 - Fulcrum
Two of the primary issues driving the news this year – abortion rights and inflation – are also driving young voters’ plans for participating in the midterm elections, according to new survey data.
But those issues are not equally motivating all millennials and members of Generation Z. Rather, 60 percent of Democrats and left-leaning independents in battleground states are motivated by protecting abortion rights while 80 percent of Republicans and right-leaning independents are focused on the economy and inflation.
The survey, conducted by the Alliance for Youth Action and Civiqs, concentrated on people ages 17-39 in 11 battleground states. While the parties were split on the top motivator to cast a ballot, respondents were united in concerns about inflation when reviewed by race. Abortion was second in each group. (Read more)

3. Trump-backed Diehl to take on Healey in Mass. governor race - AP News
Geoff Diehl, a former state representative endorsed by former President Donald Trump, has won the Republican nomination for Massachusetts governor over businessman Chris Doughty, who was considered the more moderate candidate in the race.
The victory for Diehl sets up a general election contest against Democratic Attorney General Maura Healey, who would be the first openly gay person and the first woman elected governor of Massachusetts if she wins in November. The state’s current governor, Republican Charlie Baker, decided against seeking a third term.
Republican voters made Massachusetts the latest blue state this midterm season to nominate a Trump loyalist in a high-profile race, potentially dooming the party’s chances of winning in November. Voters in Connecticut and Maryland, liberal states where centrist Republicans have found some success in previous elections, also selected far-right candidates to go up against a Democrat in the general election. - We thank you Lord for this victory and that you are filling every seat in the House and the Senate with righteous individuals who stand up for justice and speak on behalf of the people of the United States of America. Thank you for cleaning out those that are corrupt and replacing evil with good in Jesus name amen.

4. Major Teachers Union Goes On Strike, Delaying The First Day Of School For Thousands - The Daily Caller
Teachers of the largest school district in Washington are on strike on what should have been the first day of classes after rejecting a deal that would have kept them working in classrooms.
The Seattle Education Association (SEA) could not come to an agreement with Seattle Public Schools (SPS), which has roughly 50,000 students, in Seattle, Washington, causing its members to strike Wednesday morning, SPS announced on its website. The SEA rejected the school district’s memorandum of understanding which would have kept teachers working under their current agreement and allowed students to return to school on time as contract negotiations continued.
After rejecting the memorandum of understanding, 95% of the SEA voted to authorize a strike, according to King 5 News. The union is pushing for an increase in pay and smaller class sizes, according to the union’s list of demands. Support for special education students and multilingual programs must also be included in the contract in order for the union to agree. (Read more)
- Lord God we lift the public school system up to you and we just repent for the way that we have handled teachers, public funding, curriculum for our kids, among many other things. We cannot do this without You and we need You in this area. We give this need to You and we just pray Lord that You would restore education to the learning and character building entity that it was meant to be. In Jesus name amen.

5. Joe Biden Welcomes ‘Good Friend’ John Podesta Back to the White House - Brietbart
President Joe Biden welcomed John Podesta, one of Washington’s biggest swamp creatures, back to the White House on Wednesday. “John is a good friend,” Biden said, speaking to reporters during a cabinet meeting at the White House. “This is his first day on his new job.”
Biden brought in Podesta to help the White House allocate $370 billion in funding from the president’s climate change bill to green energy projects.
“John, thanks for agreeing to come aboard,” Biden said. Podesta slipped in and out of Democrat administrations for decades, pulling strings in Washington to gain enormous personal power and wealth. (Read more)
- Lord God, we are disturbed by the people that Joe Biden is adding to his cabinet and surrounding himself with. This particular man has been a proven crook and a liar and should not be trusted with taxpayer dollars or any government position. We pray Lord that you would illuminate Joe Biden‘s heart helping him make good choices and wise decisions when leading this country, in Jesus name, amen.

6. Judge orders Biden admin to turn over Fauci, Jean-Pierre 'misinformation' emails sent to social media giants - Fox News
A federal judge in Louisiana ruled Tuesday that the Biden administration has 21 days to turn over all relevant emails sent by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and Dr. Anthony Fauci to social media platforms regarding alleged misinformation and the censorship of social media content.
The decision by Judge Terry Doughty, who was appointed by former President Donald Trump, came as part of a lawsuit filed in May by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, accusing the Biden administration of suppressing the constitutionally protected right to free speech on elections, the COVID-19 lab leak theory, coronavirus-related lockdowns and other issues.
The Justice Department objected to the handing over of the email correspondence under executive privilege and presidential communications privilege, but Doughty decided, "This Court believes Plaintiffs are entitled to external communications by Jean-Pierre and Dr. Fauci in their capacities as White House Press Secretary and Chief Medical Advisor to the President to third-party social media platforms." 7. Trump blasts FBI over seizure of medical, tax records, likens action to 'Days of the Soviet Union' - Fox News
Former President Donald Trump blasted the FBI on Wednesday, reacting to the revelation that during the raid on his Mar-a-Lago home, officials seized his medical and tax records.
U.S. District Court Judge Aileen M. Cannon disclosed on Monday that Trump's medical records and documents related to his accounting information and taxes were seized by the FBI. Fox News learned from a source familiar that the medical records went back 40 years.
"Not only did the FBI steal my Passports in the FBI Raid and Break-In of my home, Mar-a-Lago, but it has just been learned through court filings that they also improperly took my complete and highly confidential medical file and history, with all the bells and whistles (at least they’ll see that I’m very healthy, an absolutely perfect physical specimen!), plus personal Tax Records (Illegal to take), and lawyer/client/privileged information, a definite NO, NO," Trump said in a post on Truth Social. "Days of the Soviet Union!"

- Lord God we are deeply disturbed at these actions by the FBI and the weaponization of our government agencies against those who say they simply disagree with. We take a spiritual ax and we cut at the root of this evil that it would be completely destroyed and dismantled so that this will not happen again. We command this illegal activity to cease in Jesus name!

8. Bill Barr: DOJ ‘Very Close’ to Having Evidence to Indict Trump - Brietbart
Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Wednesday on FNC’s “America’s Newsroom” that the Department of Justice is “very close” to the point of having the evidence to indict former President Donald Trump. Co-host Dana Perino asked, “Do you have a view on how it ends?”
Barr said, “As I’ve said all along, there are two questions. Will the government be able to make out a technical case? Will they have evidence by which that they could indict somebody on, including him? That’s the first question, and I think they are getting very close to that point, frankly.” (Read more)
- Lord God, we lift Barr up to you and pray that you would give him experiential knowledge of you. We pray Lord that he would repent as he was supposed to indict those who rightfully needed to be indicted. We pray Lord that his character would be restored and that he would right his wrongs and do what he can to restore justice in the mighty name of Jesus amen.

“The country is better off than when you first took office,” Obama said, flattering his former vice president. “And we should all be deeply grateful for that.”
Obama spoke as President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden hosted the former president and former first lady Michelle Obama at the White House for the unveiling of their official portraits.
“Joe, it is America’s good fortune to have you as president,” the former president said. “You guided us through some perilous times, you built on and beyond the work we began together.” (Read more)

10. Watch as deadly Typhoon Hinnamnor wreaks havoc on South Korea - MSN.com
Typhoon Hinnamnor made landfall Tuesday morning near Busan, South Korea. Officials recorded wave heights of 27 feet in the Sea of Japan as it churned with 90 mph winds.
Areas of South Korea logged up to 40 inches of rain, turning streets into swift rivers. Cars parked on the street were covered with floodwaters up to the door handles.
News 1 Korea reported that seven people died in a parking garage under an apartment building in Ocheon-eup, South Korea. Crews search for more people but have still only pulled two survivors from the building.
Look at the waves from street level. The powerful surf dismantled the railings and eroded sidewalks. Local news reports estimated that nearly 3,000 South Koreans were evacuated as Hinnamnon made landfall. Thousands lost power after storm surge and heavy rains swamped coastal and low-lying areas.
At the height of storm's strength, Hinnamnon was a Super Typhoon with winds over 160 mph and gusting to 195 mph – the equivalent of a category 5 hurricane in the U.S., wrote the U.S. Joint Typhoon Warning Centre. Waves at that point crested over 50 feet. The Japan Meteorological Agency called it the strongest storm of the year. (Read more and

11. Parents Outraged: New Disney Cartoon Series Domesticates Demons - Washington Stand
Disney-owned FX is releasing a new adult cartoon series, “Little Demon,” about a woman who has a fling with Satan (voiced by popular actor Danny DeVito) and bears his child.
According to the show’s description, “Thirteen years after being impregnated by Satan, a reluctant mother, Laura, and her Antichrist daughter, Chrissy, attempt to live an ordinary life in Delaware but are constantly thwarted by monstrous forces, including Satan, who yearns for custody of his daughter's soul.” As an TV-MA cartoon in the vein of “South Park” and “Family Guy,” “Little Demon” takes it a step further with Satanic symbols, witchcraft, demonic activity, nudity, and violence.
With the animation coming soon to Disney+, Star+, and Hulu, the parents of Disney’s primary audience are not happy about this release. One Christian parents’ activism group, One Million Moms, has garnered over 20,000 signatures petitioning Disney to cancel the series. “We must do so because Disney is introducing viewers, including children who might stumble across this series, to a world of demons, witches, and sorcery. Along with the demonic content of this series, the minds of younger viewers will also be inundated with secular worldviews that reflect the current culture.”
On Monday night, Congressman Mike Johnson (R-La.) took to Facebook to write a post that has since gone viral, reaching an audience of over six million. “The shocking ending to the LSU opener was not the most disturbing part of the game last night. For me, that came during a commercial break in the second quarter when the television audience was presented with the trailer for a new FX cartoon,” Johnson posted. “I couldn’t get to the remote fast enough to shield my 11-year-old from the preview, and I wonder how many other children were exposed to it — and how many millions more will tune in to the new series, owned and marketed by Disney. The trailer included dark images of Hell, demons, and satanic imagery, and an explanation that the main character is — the Antichrist.”
As a father of four kids, Johnson continued, “Please be careful. Our job as parents is to guard the hearts and minds of our kids. This culture has become alarmingly dark and desensitized, and this is not a game. Disney and FX have decided to embrace and market what is clearly evil. Stay far from it.” (Read more)

12. Biden Admin Is Funding Drug Supply Vending Machines In Rural Kentucky - Brietbart
The Biden administration is funding “harm reduction kiosks” in the rust belt which will allow drug addicts to procure drug paraphernalia without having to interact with another human being.
The administration will spend $3.6 million to test the effectiveness of the kiosks in rural Kentucky, according to a National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant awarded in August. The kiosks will contain items and substances such as naloxone, syringes, fentanyl test strips and condoms, the Washington Free Beacon first reported.
Vending machines may be a preferable option to traditional harm reduction clinics because they eliminate the stigma of having to speak to a real person, potentially a medical professional, to procure drug paraphernalia, according to the NIH. The program is the latest in a long line of harm reduction proposals implemented by the Biden administration. (Read more)
- Lord God, we see no point in this other than to encourage a persons demise and enable them in their addiction. We pray for every homeless person and every person struggling with an addiction right now and we just pray Lord that you would visit them in a supernatural way offering them hope out of destruction. And we pray for our leaders that they would offer real solutions to helping people instead of ridiculous ideas like these. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray amen.
- “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

13. ALERT!! Greece warns another European war could be on the horizon as Turkey hints at the possibility of an invasion - msn.com
Greece is calling on its allies to condemn Turkey over recent aggressive rhetoric from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has hinted at the possibility of open conflict as tensions rise between the two countries.
In letters dated Monday and Tuesday to NATO, the EU, and the UN that were reported on by the Associated Press, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias called for all three institutions to rebuke Ankara over Erdogan's comments. Dendias said that allowing Turkey to continue threatening Greece would run the risk of yet another conflict in Europe, in an apparent reference to the war in Ukraine.
"By not doing so in time or by underestimating the seriousness of the matter, we risk witnessing again a situation similar to that currently unfolding in some other part of our continent," Dendias said. "This is something none of us would really wish to see."
Though both countries are NATO members, Turkey and Greece have a historically contentious relationship and have a longstanding dispute over islands in the Aegean Sea — on top of disagreements over other issues such as maritime boundaries.
Erdogan over the weekend accused Greece of occupying demilitarized islands in the Aegean, warning that Turkey will do "what's necessary" when the time comes. In what was seemingly a veiled threat of an invasion or attack against Greece, Erdogan warned that Turkey could "come down suddenly one night. Look at history, if you go further, the price will be heavy," Erdogan said.
During a visit to Sarajevo on Tuesday, the Turkish leader doubled down on this threat. "What I'm talking about is not a dream," Erdogan said after he was questioned about his earlier comments toward Greece, the Associated Press reported. "When the time comes, we can come suddenly one night." (Read more)
- O Holy One! We can only bow our knees in repentance, asking for grace to intervene in time of need. We bring these words spoken by President Erdogan before Your Throne of Grace, and we cancel them under the Blood of the Lamb. Let not war break out, O Lord, in Your name, amen and amen.
- "Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways." (Job 22:28)

Stupidocrisy: Mandating Electric Vehicles
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, September 7, 2022
Over the past 60 years that I know of, California has been first. First to institute any hair-brained progressive idea. First to see it fail. First to suffer the consequences of such stupidocrisy. Now along comes the whole green energy thing. And California, leading the West Coast of Washington and Oregon (which are almost as embracing of progressive idiocrasy), really got behind the idea that everything had to become wind, solar or battery-powered. Of course, it wasn’t thought through. No infrastructure needed. Just legislate that no vehicles can be gasoline or diesel powered and it will happen. And just like in communist countries that often do the same, that old friend named Failure is just around the corner.
On August 25, the unelected, politically-appointed California Air Resources Board (CARB) voted to essentially ban most gas-powered vehicles by 2035. CARB Chair Liane Randolph proudly took credit in a news release saying, “Once again California is leading the nation and the world with a regulation that sets ambitious but achievable targets for ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicles) sales. Rapidly accelerating the number of ZEVs on our roads and highways will deliver substantial emission and pollution reductions to all Californians, especially for those who live near roadways and suffer from persistent air pollution.” And, of course, there are about $20,000 of state-sponsored wealth redistribution, you know, “incentives,” so “low- and moderate-income consumers” might be able to afford these expensive vehicles. Monstrous space tarantula caught by a Webb
|
|
It's big and it's hiding in our galactic neighborhood, but the newly-photographed 'space spider' won't be paying Earth a visit anytime soon.
Lurking in the depths of the universe some 161,000 light-years away from Earth is a massive tarantula, but unlike the fright-inducing spiders here on Earth, this galactic spider gives birth to new worlds and possibly life itself.
NASA unveiled the latest images from the James Webb Space Telescope on Tuesday, which focused on the Tarantula Nebula, a mass of interstellar gas and dust home to countless stars. The nebula is 340 light-years across and is the largest and brightest star-forming region in the galactic neighborhood where the Milky Way resides.
"Nicknamed the Tarantula Nebula for the appearance of its dusty filaments in previous telescope images, the nebula has long been a favorite for astronomers studying star formation," NASA said. "The region resembles a burrowing tarantula's home, lined with silk."
The Hubble Space Telescope has captured images of the Tarantula Nebula before, but the instruments aboard the JWST allow the new telescope to peer even deeper into the cosmic feature and reveal thousands of stars that the Hubble cannot see.
NASA combined the two telescopes' power to create breathtaking images of the nebula, a method scientists plan on using for future observations.
"Hubble and Webb will work together to showcase the universe across multiple wavelengths of light," NASA said. "Two space telescopes, twice the star power." Read More

Spirit-Filled Pastor: 'There is a Cost to Revival'
|
|
When speaking at the recent Turning Point USA Faith event in San Diego, Calif., Pastor Shane Idleman made this eye-opening statement for not only pastors, but the entire body of Christ: "Pastors, without boldness and brokenness, we will accomplish little. Leonard Ravenhill once said, 'You must weep before you whip.'" Idleman is obviously looking forward to a Great Awakening in the body in the near future, but he says revival won't come without a cost and that believers must surrender to the Cross to bring about such a revival.
"If it took praying and fasting to get the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, let me submit to you that it's going to take prayer, fasting, brokenness and humility to maintain it," Idleman says. "Don't fall into the trap that 'God can't use me.' Seek the heart of God and be filled with the Holy Spirit. People call me political. I preach the gospel and I stand up for difficult things. If you stand up for the truth, you will be political. Get over it. That's a badge of honor. Politics just means leading a group or governing people. God's Word has plenty to say about that. ... We want to make a difference in our culture, but you have to have boldness and humility." (Watch video! here)

- Lord, we praise You for this good word and reminder by Pastor Idleman. May this truth be received throughout our nation to empower pastors and congregations to desire a sweet aroma of 'sacrifice' that is acceptable and pleasing to You-In Jesus name, Amen.
- "My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise." (Psalm 51:17)

O How I Love Jesus
To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE
Words: Frederick Whitfield
Music: Traditional American melody
Scripture: Because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19
Lyrics:
There is a name I love to hear,
I love to speak its worth;
It sounds like music in mine ear,
The sweetest name on earth.
Refrain
O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
Because He first loved me!
It bids my trembling heart rejoice;
It dries each rising tear;
It tells me, in a still small voice,
To trust and never fear.
Refrain
Jesus, the name I love so well,
The name I love to hear!
No saint on earth its worth can tell,
No heart conceive how dear.
Refrain
This name shall shed its fragrance still
Along this thorny road,
Shall sweetly smooth the rugged hill
That leads me up to God.
Refrain
And there, with all the blood-bought throng,
From sin and sorrow free,
I’ll sing the new eternal song
Of Jesus’ love to me.
