Biden to Host Zelensky at White House as he Calls for More Support for Ukraine
|
|
Visit comes at a time when US support for the war effort is facing a more difficult reception.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, is in Washington on Sept. 21, where he is meeting with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle. Later in the afternoon, he is scheduled to meet with President Joe Biden at the White House as he seeks ongoing support for his war-torn country in the face of Russia's invasion.
This will be Mr. Zelenskyy’s sixth meeting with President Biden in person and his third visit to the White House.
The Ukrainian president's first stop this week was in New York, where he gave an in-person address to the United Nations General Assembly for the first time since Russia invaded his country in February 2022.
Mr. Zelenskyy delivered an emotional speech to world leaders on Sept. 19, warning them of rising Russian aggression beyond Ukraine. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

J6 Political Prisoner Barry Ramsey: I am on a Mission to Expose the DOJ for their Prosecutorial Misconduct

The Gateway Pundit reported in August that J6 political prisoner Barry Ramey was stabbed in the face for watching Tucker Carlson in prison. In a letter to TGP, Barry sounded the alarm on the abuse he and other J6 defendants are enduring from bigoted correction officers while being detained for nearly two years.
Barry shared the following update with The Gateway Pundit:
It all started for me when I was arrested by the FBI in April of 2022. Back in January 6th 2021, I, like many others of my country folk, participated in a protest in Washington D.C. That day, we came from many walks of life, from many parts of the country, for many different reasons.
Some came to challenge the results of the 2020 Election. Some came to only hear president Trump speak.
None of us went there to riot, engage in an armed insurrection, attack police officers or overthrow the government.
In fact where I was located, we were peacefully singing the National Anthem before Capitol police started shooting rubber bullets and lobbing concussion grenades at our heads. (The Gateway Pundit)

Dinesh D'Souza to Release New Film, "Police State" Next Month, A Chilling Account of America's Political Persecution
|
|
Filmmaker and conservative activist Dinesh D’ Souza has collaborated with Dan Bongino on a chilling new film called “Police State.” The movie will hit theaters on October 23rd and 25th.
The Gateway Pundit previously wrote multiple stories about his earlier film “2,000 Mules,” which D’Souza says presents conclusive proof that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from President Trump. Conservative actor Nick Searcy, who is best know for playing Sheriff Art Mullen in “Justified,” plays a villainous
role in the movie as the face of federal law enforcement enforcing the two-tiered justice system in America.
Journalists Julie Kelly and Peter Schweizer contributed research to the movie.
D’Souza in an interview with One America News explains why he decided to make the film:
"It’s a film that I never wanted to make in part because I never wanted America to get to a point where this kind of film needed to be made.We see a lot of things in our country we take separately news of about mass surveillance, digital censorship, political targeting and then political prisoners suddenly turning up in our country.
All of these are signature elements of dictatorial regimes. I’ve been in this country for more than 40 years. 1. Netanyahu continuing meetings on sidelines of UN General Assembly - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with US journalists, including Semafor founder Ben Smith and NBC executives, in his hotel in New York earlier this morning.
He also met with former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
Heading back to the UN, Netanyahu will meet with heads of Pacific island states, leaders from the Caribbean, and Democratic Republic of Congo President Felix Tshisekedi. (Read more)

2. Security guard injured in terrorist ramming attack on outskirts of Jerusalem - World Israel News
One person was injured in a terrorist ramming attack on the outskirts of Jerusalem Thursday afternoon.
The attack occurred at the Qalandiya crossing, just north of the capital, at approximately 12:30 p.m. Thursday, when an Arab terrorist rammed his vehicle into a security guard stationed at the checkpoint.
IDF forces were deployed to the area immediately after the attack.
Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah emergency first responders were dispatched to the scene to treat the injured security guard, before evacuating him to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in the capital for further treatment (Read more)

3. Turkey-Israel Relations Continue to Thaw After Erdogan, Netanyahu Meet for First Time - Algemeiner
Turkey and Israel will soon begin taking joint steps in energy drilling, President Tayyip Erdogan was cited by Turkish media as saying on Thursday, adding the two countries would also operate energy networks to Europe through Turkey.
Erdogan and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met in person for the first time on Tuesday at the United Nations, in a milestone as the two countries have been working to repair relations long strained by disputes over policies toward the Palestinians.
Speaking to reporters after the UN General Assembly in New York, Erdogan said he and Netanyahu had agreed on mutual visits in the coming period, and that energy cooperation would ramp up after these.
“God willing, we will take this step without much delay and we will start energy drilling operations with Israel. We will also start operating energy transfer networks to Europe through Turkey, not just to Turkey,” he was cited as saying. (Read more)

4. Abbas softens demands on Israel to pave way for Saudi deal - Jerusalem Post
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is ready to back away from demands on Israel and would agree to an interim understanding with the Jewish state to pave the way for a larger Saudi quadrilateral agreement, according to a report on N12 that was confirmed by The Jerusalem Post.
The report comes amid high-level diplomatic activity to secure a complex regional architecture that would include a security pact between Riyadh and Washington and, according to Bloomberg, possibly with Israel as well.
As part of the deal Riyadh seeks Washington’s approval a Saudi civilian nuclear program that would allow for uranium enrichment. Riyadh would, as part of that deal, normalize its ties with Israel and in return, Israel would make concessions to the Palestinians. (Read more)

5. Diplomatic achievement: Congo to open embassy in Jerusalem - Israel National News
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met on Thursday with President Felix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of the Congo on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The two leaders discussed strengthening cooperation between the countries in the fields of agriculture, trade, defense, cyber and more.
During the meeting, Netanyahu and Tshisekedi announced that Israel would open an embassy in Kinshasa, and Congo would move its embassy to Jerusalem. (Read more)

1. McCarthy Denies Zelensky’s Request to Address Congress – The Gateway Pundit
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is back in the U.S to keep American tax dollars flowing, seemingly without limit, into Ukraine.
Since the start of the war, four rounds of aid has sent approximately $113 billion in aid and equipment to Ukraine.
But Zelenskyy wants more.
After making his case to The United Nations on Tuesday, Zelenskyy traveled to D.C. to speak privately with Republican and Democrat leaders of the House and Senate and to meet with Biden at the White House.

2. Musk’s SpaceX Countersues DOJ, Says Case Over Refusal to Hire Refugees is Unconstitutional – The Epoch Times
SpaceX says it is following federal law governing companies that deal with sensitive technology.
Elon Musk's space company has countersued President Joe Biden's administration, alleging its lawsuit against the company for refusing to hire refugees and asylees is unconstitutional.
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in August sued SpaceX saying the company violated U.S. immigration law by repeatedly turning away job applicants with refugee or asylee status. SpaceX responded that it was following federal law governing companies that deal with sensitive technology. In the new filing, the company said the case must be dismissed because it is being overseen by an administrative judge.
The judge "was unconstitutionally appointed" and "is unconstitutionally insulated from presidential authority because she is protected by two layers of for-cause removal protections," SpaceX said.
U.S. judges are typically appointed by the president, but administrative judges are appointed by the U.S. attorney general. (Read more)

4. Federal Govt Relaunches Covid-19 Testing Program – Discern Report
The federal government will again launch a program to distribute free COVID-19 home test kits to Americans, said the Department of Health and Human Services on Wednesday.
“We will once again begin our program to provide Americans with an opportunity to request tests,” HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra said during an event at a Washington CVS pharmacy location, where he also took COVID-19 and influenza vaccines.
“We want them to be able to use those tests during this viral season … fall, winter, respiratory viral season,” Mr. Becerra said. He added in a statement that such “critical investments will strengthen our nation’s production levels of domestic at-home COVID-19 rapid tests and help mitigate the spread of the virus.”
The Department of Health and Human Services stated orders can be placed at COVIDTests.gov starting Sept. 25, and that no-cost tests will be delivered for free by the United States Postal Service. (Read more) |

5. Association of American Physicians and Surgeons: Mask Mandates Provide no Clear Benefits, Cause Harm, and Violate the Right to Informed Consent – Pandemic News
As mask mandates are being reintroduced in schools and medical facilities, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) issued a statement on Sept. 12 opposing the return of these ineffective and unethical policies. AAPS is a national organization representing physicians in all specialties since 1943.
The AAPS statement of patients’ freedoms provides that “patients have the right to be informed about the risks and benefits of any medical intervention – and the right to refuse medical treatment.”

A man criminally charged for taking photos while reporting on the recently deadly Maui fires is now suing Hawaii’s governor together with O’Keefe.
Groundbreaking undercover journalist James O’Keefe is suing the governor of Hawaii over an “Emergency Proclamation” that prohibits taking photos of the fire-devastated area of Lahaina for investigative purposes.Together with attorney Mike Yoder, the Project Veritas founder argues that Hawaii’s governor has violated the First Amendment by “unilaterally criminaliz[ing] the constitutional right to a free press” and free speech.
Their lawsuit describes how Yoder, referred to as “John Doe,” was criminally charged for taking photos while reporting on the recently deadly Maui fires despite his “well-established First Amendment right to report on matters of public concern.”

Pushed Into A Corner

Those who hold to a Judeo-Christian worldview are being pushed into a corner. Biblical values are increasingly being characterized as racist, bigoted, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, misogynist, climate deniers, election deniers, and just plain hate-filled. Whatever the topic, if there is a biblical worldview discussed, it is labeled as something detrimental to society. More and more, the biblical worldview is being pushed into a corner. Bank accounts of Christian organizations are being closed by big banks because the banks don’t agree with pro-life stances or that homosexuality is sin. False narratives are being pushed about Christians settling this country to proliferate slavery. It just never ends.
If you are a parent concerned about public school-sanctioned sexual predation on your children, you are labeled homophobic or transphobic. The public schools should be allowed to teach, groom, and recruit your child into a lifestyle that has the highest suicide rate in the country, and you are a hatemonger if you don’t comply with it. Never mind that the inerrant and infallible Word of God tells us in many places that these sexual practices are an abomination. They say Christians are haters because they just don’t understand that suppressing perceived gender rather than promoting birth gender is what really causes suicidal thoughts. Parents are being pushed into a corner where the immoral assume they are holding the high ground. Even the Biden Administration is trying to paint these parents as domestic terrorists. Read More

Unforgettable view of northern lights captured during takeoff
If there ever was a time to have a window seat on a flight, Wednesday morning was it during takeoff from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. On Wednesday morning, airline passengers were treated to a jaw-dropping view of the northern lights . Photographer David Jon snapped a stunning picture of green lights dancing in the sky above city lights from his iPhone. He said it was an experience that he “will never forget,” noting that the pilot got on the intercom to comment on the phenomenon.
The spectacle was triggered by a geomagnetic storm that the National Weather Service Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) said peaked at G3 strength, which is considered a strong disturbance in Earth’s geomagnetic field. Geomagnetic storms are caused by eruptions of large clouds of charged particles emitted from the surface of the sun. The aurora was witnessed as far south as Oklahoma and North Carolina.

Regent Univ. Helps Trafficking Victims Get a Fresh Start

Regent University is taking an active role in the fight against human trafficking by helping survivors get a fresh start. Regent Law School's Center for Global Justice is providing human trafficking victims in Virginia legal help to clear their records thanks to a new state law Regent helped get passed in the state. While some victims of human trafficking may eventually find freedom from their traffickers, the legal charges of prostitution – and many other crimes they were forced to commit – follow them for the rest of their lives. CBN News recently sat down with one survivor named Olivia who shared her story of how she became a sex trafficking victim and the legal woes that followed her as a result. "I had to do drugs which meant I had to possess drugs which is illegal," explained Olivia. "I had to steal, I had to hurt other people, sometimes other women, because if I didn't – I didn't know what he would do to me."
Olivia tells CBN News she often hoped to get arrested for prostitution so she could get out of her situation. While that wish eventually came true, it resulted in a four-year prison sentence on charges including prostitution and drug possession. "I'm not a prostitute, really I'm a human trafficking victim, and I didn't know that for a very long time, very long time," explained Olivia. "I thought because I did it on my own sometimes that it was because I wanted to or that was just how I had to live, but I was trained in my brain to think that way, to think that there was no other way to live." Two years ago, Regent University helped get a vacatur law passed in Virginia that agrees with the reality of trafficking, viewing Olivia and others like her as victims, not criminals. "Many people don't realize that victims of human trafficking are forced to commit an array of crimes and from the legal perspective they do not have the intent to commit the crime," explained Meg Kelsey from Regent's Center for Global Justice. "Human trafficking by its nature is using force, fraud, coercion, manipulation – it is exploitation of another and forcing them to commit an array of crimes." The center recently launched a clinic to provide survivors with the legal help needed to file petitions to have their records expunged. Olivia is their first victory.
