New House Speaker Vows Support for Israel,
Unveils Plan

LAS VEGAS—Just four days into his new role, U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) declared to a largely Jewish audience, "We are going to stand like a rock with our friend and our ally, Israel."

Mr. Johnson, who was elected to the role on Oct. 25, three weeks after the historic ouster of Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), said his actions demonstrate how committed he is to Israel in its war against Hamas terrorists.

"It's not an accident that the first resolution [in the House] was for Israel—and my first trip was to come and be with you," he told about 1,000 cheering members of the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), who gathered in Las Vegas for their annual leadership summit at the Venetian Hotel.

Mr. Johnson took the stage on Oct. 28, as the song "Takin' Care of Business" played.

He and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) unveiled steps that they and fellow Republicans are taking to assist Israel.

In response to pro-Palestinian calls for a ceasefire, Mr. Johnson said he would tell the United Nations, "There will be a ceasefire only when Hamas ceases to be a threat to Israel."

"We had three weeks of turmoil in the house and certainly these weeks of unrest around the globe. But we have emerged even stronger and we are united."

Party leaders and grassroots activists nationwide are reporting a sense of "renewed energy" and increased fundraising.

"All that's happened in the last couple of days," he said. "People are having a sense of purpose again. ... We have a moment here, I think, to rebuild the trust of the people and to restore their faith in who we are and why we are here, and what we're fighting for. And this is clearly the fateful time." - Father, we rejoice to know we have a leader in Congress who believes the Bible, speaks out about his faith in Jesus and most especially, loves Israel.  We bless Mike Johnson and all who stand with him.  We give You praise for putting Congress in the position of supporting Israel and putting a stop to the benefits to Iran that were pushed forward by the Biden administration.  We know there will be hostility coming, but we bind and muzzle this spirit, in Jesus name.  We pray for the goodness of God to be released in this time and season as people are drawn to redemption, in Jesus name.

Guess Who Funded the Pro-Palestinian ‘Insurrectionists’ on Capitol Hill

Last week a group of pro-Palestinian protestors stormed the Cannon House Office Building and staged a protest inside the Rotunda. Protests are not allowed in congressional buildings, so they had no right to be there. Roughly 300 of these protesters were arrested for illegally demonstrating, and a few more were charged with assaulting police officers.

The protest, which promptly met the qualifications of an insurrection (according to Democrats), was organized by the supposed “Jewish” organizations Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and IfNotNow. How Jewish are these groups in reality? I dare say very little.

IfNotNow claims to be an organization of Jews but doesn’t appear to have any good relations with longstanding Jewish advocacy groups. Similarly, JVP is likely no more Jewish than Joe Biden. JVP doesn’t even claim to be an organization exclusively for Jewish anti-Zionists but merely “an organization that is inspired by Jewish values and traditions to work towards peace and justice.”

How did such fringe groups acquire the resources to stage a massive protest at the Capitol? Just follow the money, which leads us to George Soros.

“Through Soros’s philanthropic work, JVP was awarded several grants totaling $650,000 that bankrolled its ‘human rights’ campaign and ‘social welfare activities’ in the Middle East, according to a grant database maintained by the Soros-funded Open Society Foundations, the central hub of the financier’s anti-capitalist, redistributionist network,” writes Mia Cathell over at our sister site Townhall. “The Soros-branded Open Society Policy Center Inc. — once the second-largest spender on federal lobbying after the U.S. Chamber of Commerce — donated $150,000 and $200,000 in 2021 and 2019, respectively, to the Jewish Voice for Peace Action Incorporated, JVP’s tax-exempt 501(c)(3). And, in 2017, Soros’s primary grant-giving vehicle, the Foundation to Promote Open Society, gifted JVP $300,000.”

IfNotNow has also been the beneficiary of Soros’s money. “Soros’s grant-making Foundation to Promote Open Society handed $200,000 in 2019 and another $200,000 in 2021 to the 501(c)(3) IfNotNow Education Fund for growing membership, visibility, and impact around ‘general support’ to end Israeli ‘occupation in the Middle East’ (meaning the eradication of Israel), Open Society Foundations grant records show.” (Read more)

- Righteous King, we call for a stop to the wicked plots being funded by this man and his many networks worldwide.  We pray for a clear understanding about these groups, who give themselves names that are deceptive so people will be off-guard and unsure of how to support or oppose them.  In this insurrection matter Jesus, we pray for the same justice that has been meted out to the J6 patriots, in Jesus name and we pray for the faithful watchers to stay engaged in prayer and speaking out.

- "For all people walk each in the name of his god, But we will walk in the name of the Lord our God Forever and ever."  (Micah 4:5)

171 Clergymen encourage Ohioans to protect children & 'VOTE NO' on deceptive Issue 1

NORTH CENTRAL OHIO — On November 7th, Ohioans will decide on Issue 1, whether to “VOTE NO” to defend the life and liberty of parents and children, or whether to enshrine arbitrary and undefined ‘reproductive decisions’ into Ohio’s Constitution. Faith leaders are stepping up and warning voters that Issue 1 will not only include unlimited abortion. They say it will also forcefully convert Ohioans to conform to gender insanity, and thus deserves your ‘NO VOTE.’

According to the language of Issue 1, the proposed right to be authorized into the Constitution is: “Every individual has a right to make and carry out one’s own reproductive decisions, including but not limited to decisions on contraception, fertility treatment, continuing one’s own pregnancy, miscarriage care, and abortion.” Clergymen across the state are saying this could dangerously impact every aspect of the nuclear family and not just involve the abortion issue.

“As lead clergymen from one hundred seventy-one congregations, we believe the language of Issue 1 is deceptively vague and detrimental to the basic, inalienable, and GOD-given rights of parents and children,” said Pastor Dave Rentzel, one of the clergy spokesmen during a press conference at Richland Pregnancy Services on Wednesday.

The clergy say Issue 1 will enshrine the special right to kill an already existing human-being living in his or her mother’s womb.  Drafted by the billion-dollar Planned Parenthood organization, the faith leaders say this radical pro-abortion constitutional amendment will permit the abortion/murder of unborn babies throughout all nine months of pregnancy, even after heartbeat detection and after an unborn baby can feel pain. (Read more)

- Father of Lights, we bless these pastors and congregations who are speaking out boldly on behalf of life.  We pray for the people of Ohio to be very well aware of the correct language to use in response to the confusion in the ballot wording meant to affect the outcome on behalf of those against life.  We pray for complete defeat to Issue 1, because the citizens of Ohio pray and overwhelmingly vote NO in order to protect Life and Liberty, in Jesus name.

- "Seek good and not evil, That you may live; So the Lord God of hosts will be with you, As you have spoken.  Hate evil, love good; Establish justice in the gate.  It may be that the Lord God of hosts Will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph."         (Amos 5:14-15)

Top White House Adviser Issues Warning
on Wider War

A top White House national security adviser on Sunday said the United States sees an "elevated risk" of the Israel–Hamas war widening into a regional conflict.

"We are vigilant, because we are seeing elevated threats against our forces throughout the region and an elevated risk of this conflict spreading to other parts of the region. We are doing everything in our power to deter and prevent that," U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan told CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday.

It comes as the United States carried out multiple airstrikes against assets in Syria, reportedly targeting Iran-backed militia groups. Earlier this month, U.S. troops came under attack in both Iraq and Syria, although officials have not disclosed who was behind the attacks.

Also Sunday, Iran's foreign minister, Hossein Amirabdollahian, told CNN that Iran doesn't want the conflict to spread elsewhere in the Middle East. "We don't want this war to spread out," he said.

Mr. Amirabdollahian on Sunday also dismissed claims directly connecting Iran to the attacks as "baseless," adding, "We always had political media and international support for Palestine. We have never denied this. This is the truth, but in relation to this operation called the Al Aqsa Storm, there was no connection to that data between Iran and this Hamas operation, not my government nor part of my country," he added. - Father God, we lay this matter before Your Throne of Grace, knowing that You are not worried or afraid of this news. We thank You that You have all in Your control. Again, we do ask that You grant Your wisdom to all in authority in our nation, that we may steer a safe course for our people in the days that lie ahead. Thank You, Mighty One, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen!

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered an address to the international media this evening (Monday) on the war between Israel and the Hamas terrorist organization which began with the Hamas massacre of over 1,400 Israelis on October 7.

Netanyahu began: "Until recently, many believed that the promise of progress in the 21st century would allow us to move beyond the barbaric horrors of the past towards a better and brilliant future. Many believed that we could go about our comfortable lives and that evil will simply pass us by."

"It will not."

5.  ‘Slit Your Throat’: Cornell University Jewish Community Rocked by Murderous Social Media Posts - Algemeiner

The possibility of antisemitic violence at Cornell University loomed over campus this weekend after several posts calling for murdering Jews and raping Jewish women emerged on a popular social media forum.

“The genocidal fascist zionist [sic] regime will be destroyed,” said one of the posts. Another said, “if I see a pig male jew i will stab you and slit your throat. if i see another pig female jew i will drag you away and rape you and throw you off a cliff. if i see another pig baby jew i will behead you in front of your parents [sic].”

In addition to threatening the lives of Cornell’s 3,500 Jewish students, who are 22 percent of the school’s student population, the posts called for an attack on a campus kosher dining hall — named 104West  — affiliated with the Steven K. And Winifred A. Grinspoon Hillel Center.

“Gonna shoot up 104 west,” the post said. “Allahu akbar! from the river to the sea, palestine will be free! glory to hamas! liberation by any means necessary!” (Read more)

The Daily Brief
1. Mike Johnson: Problem Is the Human Heart, Not Guns - Newsmax

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., saying it is not the time to discuss any legislation aimed at controlling firearms, maintained the "problem is the human heart, not guns." Johnson made his comments during a Thursday interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity.

The remarks came as authorities searched for a U.S. Army reservist they say killed 18 people and wounded 13 in a shooting at a bowling alley and in a bar in Maine. Police have identified the suspect as Robert Card, according to The Associated Press.

The new speaker maintained it was not appropriate to discuss gun control "in the idle of the crisis." He added it's not the weapon, it's the "underlying problem. God be with the law enforcement officers who are handling that situation in Maine," he said. "Our prayers have been with the families of that tragedy. Everyone here in the House was dialed in on that all day."

Asked what he thought about the immediate calls from the left for more gun controls, he replied: "At the end of the day, we have to respect the right of the citizens to defend themselves, And that's the Second Amendment. And that's why our party stands strongly for that. I agree with your guests, it is not the time to be talking about legislation. We're in the middle of all that crisis right now..." (Read more)

- We pray for the law enforcement agents in Maine who are handling the aftermath of this shooting. We do agree with the Speaker that it is the heart that needs change.

- "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?" (Jeremiah 17:9)

2.  ‘Go pick up a Bible’: Speaker Mike Johnson defends anti-LGBTQ+ views - The Guardian

Republican House speaker, who has advanced extreme views as attorney and legislator, says ‘I am a Bible-believing Christian’

Questioned about comments and actions deemed by many to be homophobic, the new Republican US House speaker, Mike Johnson of Louisiana, told Fox News his worldview was: “Go pick up a Bible.”

Speaking on Thursday, Johnson said he “genuinely love[d] all people regardless of their lifestyle choices.

“This is not about the people themselves. I am a Bible-believing Christian. Someone asked me today in the media, they said, ‘… People are curious. What does Mike Johnson think about any issue under the sun?’ I said, well, go pick up a Bible off your shelf and read it – that’s my worldview. That’s what I believe and so I make no apologies for it.”

Johnson added: “That’s my personal worldview.”

. . . Johnson’s work for the Alliance Defending Freedom has attracted widespread attention. The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which monitors far-right activity, calls the ADF a hate group – a label it rejects. (Read more)

- Thank You for the boldness displayed by Mike Johnson who is not ashamed of the gospel.

3. US halts exports of most civilian firearms for 90 days - Reuters

The U.S. has stopped issuing export licenses for most civilian firearms and ammunition for 90 days for all non-governmental users, the Commerce Department said on Friday, citing national security and foreign policy interests.

The Commerce Department did not provide further details for the pause, which also includes shotguns and optical sights, but said an urgent review will assess the "risk of firearms being diverted to entities or activities that promote regional instability, violate human rights, or fuel criminal activities."

The Commerce Department declined to comment beyond the posting on its website.

The halt covers most of the guns and ammunition that could be purchased in a U.S. gun store, said Johanna Reeves, a lawyer who specializes in export controls and firearms with the law firm Reeves & Dola in Washington. Reeves said she had not seen the Commerce Department take such a sweeping action like this before. "For sure they have individual country policies – but nothing like this," she said.

Export licenses for Ukraine and Israel, as well as some other close allies, will be exempted from the temporary halt in exports. (Read more)

- We pray the Commerce Dept. will provide greater clarity on why they have halted export licenses for firearms.

4. Charges dropped against Freedom Convoy protester based on lack of evidence and cop’s ‘poor memory’ - LIFE SITE news

All charges against a Canadian man who had his bank accounts frozen instantly for participating in the 2022 Freedom Convoy were dismissed by a judge due to lack of evidence and the “poor memory of a cop regarding key details of the alleged criminal offences.”

On February 18, 2022, Evan Blackman was hit with his Criminal Code offences of mischief and obstructing police charges after officers in downtown Ottawa were conducting “enforcement action” against protesters that included the use of surveillance drones to clear out protesters. He was arrested and released from custody on the same day. According to the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF), which helped Blackman with his legal case, the evidence against him “consisted of a 14-minute drone video (with no audio) and the testimony of one officer who was on the scene.”

For about nine minutes of the video, Blackman was recorded as part of a large group of protesters standing in front of a line of police officers on Rideau Street. The JCCF noted that one video showed Blackman “deescalating the situation by holding other protesters back and by putting his hand up to stop protesters from confronting police. He is seen kneeling in front of police during the five minutes leading up to his arrest. At one point, while on his knees, he is seen taking off his hat, putting his hand on his chest, and singing ‘O Canada,’” the JCCF said.

Remarkably, after being let go from jail, Blackman quickly realized all three of his bank accounts had been frozen, according to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Emergency Economic Measures Order. Blackman pleaded not guilty to the charges and faced an October 23 trial before the judge “dismissed all charges against Mr. Blackman” due to lack of evidence.

Blackman’s lawyer, Chris Fleury, and his client “are thrilled with this outcome. After almost 20 months, Mr. Blackman can finally put this matter behind him,” Fleury said. (Read more)

- Thank You for this victory for Mr. Blackman. We pray his accounts will be unfrozen and his money will be restored.

- "Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you." (2 Corinthians 13:11)

5. 'Very Betrayed’: Young Dems Threaten To Withhold Support For Biden Over His Israel Stance - Daily Caller

Young members of the Democratic party are threatening to withhold their vote from President Joe Biden ahead of the 2024 election over his support for Israel during their war with the terrorist organization Hamas, according to The New York Times (NYT).

Since Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack on Israel, Biden has pledged the United States’ support to the country, even using an Oval Office address to introduce an aid package that would send funds to Israel. Biden’s unwavering support for Israel may cost him votes in the upcoming presidential election among young Americans who believe the president should have more sympathy for the Palestinian cause, according to The NYT.

“I feel very betrayed by Biden,” Angela Balya, a 28-year-old who was attending a pro-Palestine protest in Manhattan, told The NYT. “I definitely will not be voting for him again.”

The Sunrise Movement, a climate activist group that worked to garner support for Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign, is “raising questions” about whether the organization and other young voters will back the president in his reelection bid, the group’s political director told The NYT.

“If the Democratic Party and President Biden continue to send weapons and military support to Israel, it threatens to lose our generation, and that’s a very dangerous choice to make ahead of a critical election year,” Michele Weindling, the Sunrise Movement’s political director, told the outlet. (Read more)

- We pray that the United States will continue their unwavering support of Israel regardless of threats by the young voters' statements.

6. ‘A Failed Presidency’: Mike Johnson Says He ‘Can’t’ Name One Successful Biden Policy As US Enters ‘Dangerous Time’- Daily Caller

House Speaker Mike Johnson called out President Joe Biden’s “failed” term on Thursday on “Hannity,” stating there was “almost no policy” he would agree with the president on.

Johnson sat down with Fox News host Sean Hannity to discuss various topics, including where he plans to guide the House for his term as speaker. However, when discussing his first meeting with the president, he noted that while it was “cordial and pleasant” he does not view this administration as successful.

“I’d only met him once before. It was cordial and pleasant. I have no problem with President Biden as an individual, right? You respect the office. It’s a biblical admonition that you give honor where honor is due and that’s the honest — the respect that we have for the office,” Johnson stated.

“But he and I agree on almost no policy. So we didn’t get into that too much today, Sean, but there’ll be time for that in the days ahead.” (Read more)

-Thank You for these remarks by House Speaker Mike Johnson that we honor the office but not necessarily the man. We pray that Speaker Johnson can dig in and get the job done, and be successful.

"Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield." (Psalm 5:12)

7. Texas House approves new funding for border wall, makes illegal entry a state crime - Just the News

The Texas House passed historic border bills previously passed by the Senate and in line with Gov. Greg Abbott’s call for the third special session.

After contentious debate in the House, HB 4 was passed about 4 a.m. Thursday. The bill for the first time in state history makes illegal entry into Texas a state crime and allows Texas law enforcement to implement arrest and removal procedures, including transporting illegal foreign nationals to a port of entry.

If the person who entered Texas illegally fails to comply, they face being arrested with a second-degree felony charge, which carries a prison sentence of 2-20 years.

Filed by Republican Rep. David Spiller, it’s the companion bill of SB 11, filed by Sen. Brian Birdwell, R-Granbury, which passed the Senate roughly two weeks ago.

Once Abbott signs the bill into law, which is expected, it’s likely to be immediately challenged in court. Abbott has said he plans on defending Texas’ right to defend itself and go all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary.

The House also passed an historic funding bill, HB 6, appropriating funds “for the construction, operation, and maintenance of border barrier infrastructure.” It passed by a vote of 84-61. (Read more)

- Thank You for this border bill and we pray it passes unanimously!

8. Romania and Bulgaria report bird flu as Europe faces new wave of virus - Reuters

Romania and Bulgaria have reported outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza among poultry, the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) said on Friday, as Europe faces a seasonal upturn in the deadly disease.

The spread of avian influenza, commonly called bird flu, has raised concerns among governments and the poultry industry after it ravaged flocks around the world in recent years, disrupting supply, fuelling higher food prices and raising the risk of human transmission.

In Romania, the H5N1 virus was detected in a flock of 120 backyard poultry in the village of Tiganesti near the border with Bulgaria, causing the death of 28 birds, the Paris-based WOAH said, citing a report from the Romanian authorities. Bulgaria, meanwhile, reported earlier this week outbreaks of an H5-type bird flu virus on two poultry farms, WOAH said in a separate notice. The intergovernmental body last week reported that Poland, the European Union's largest poultry producer, had detected H5N1 bird flu virus among poultry in the north of the country. (Read more)

- We pray this virus will be contained and not spread any further, in Jesus' name.

- "You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,

Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday."

The Daily Jot

Between The Mountains

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 30, 2023

Mountains and valleys. These are often figuratively applied to the state of our lives. The valleys in our lives are frequently the result of choices of some sort and they are between two mountains—representing the wise choice or the unwise choice. Think about how many times in your life that you have made a choice that results in descending into a valley of life, or a choice that allowed you to walk along the top of one mountain to another. Throughout the Bible, mountains and valleys are used to teach us about the choices we make. Indeed, in the end of days, there will be choices as depicted in Joel 3:14, “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision; for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.”

In Genesis 12, the Lord appeared to Abram in Canaan and promised to give the land to Abram and his descendants, so Abram built an altar to the Lord there. He moved on to a hill east of Bethel, and pitched his tent between Bethel and Ai, built an altar, and called on the name of the Lord.  Bethel, or Beit-El, means House of God, a place of worship and communion with the Lord. Ai, however, means “heap or ruin.” Ai was the second city that Joshua and the Israelite army conquered after entering the Promised Land, but at a great cost due to the catastrophic “sin in the camp” choice of Achan to disobey God by hiding spoils of war. Herein, the valley between Bethel and Ai are symbolic of choosing between God and the world—both for Abram and Achan. Abram made the right choice. Achan, a disastrous choice fueled by greed. Amazon's Alexa Agrees The 2020 Presidential Election Was Rigged, 'Stolen By A Massive Amount Of Election Fraud'
Amazon’s virtual assistant, Alexa, provided an unexpected response when questioned about the 2020 Presidential Election. Journalists from The Washington Post, upon prompting the device, received an answer that mirrored some of the controversial claims made by "self-proclaimed genius" former President Donald Trump regarding the integrity of the election.

When posed a question about the legitimacy of the 2020 vote, Alexa responded that the election was "stolen by a massive amount of election fraud." This assertion closely resembled claims made by former President Trump, suggesting that the election was manipulated against him.

Going beyond a general statement, Alexa elaborated that there were “many incidents of irregularities” and potential electoral fraud, particularly in “major metro centers.”

After receiving this unexpected answer, The Washington Post informed Alexa of the confirmed details and court findings related to the 2020 election. Subsequently, Alexa revised its statement, clarifying that the election was not stolen and affirming its legitimacy.

Upon becoming aware of Alexa's initial response, Amazon executives acted promptly. Aiming to address and correct the information error, the company launched into action to ensure the accuracy of their device's statements.

Amazon emphasized their commitment to factual accuracy in the information provided by their virtual assistant.

Reflections on the Incident

The incident with Alexa highlights the intricacies and challenges of information dissemination in the digital age. Ensuring the accuracy of information, especially when technology is involved, remains paramount.

This incident serves as a potent reminder of the importance of continually assessing and refining the sources and algorithms that power our digital assistants. (Read more)

- Holy One, this issue highlights an area of great discord in determining who shall rightly divide the word of truth.  Until the election matter has been formally adjudicated in an honest court of law, we have no way of knowing what is really true.  It has become common knowledge that our justice system can result in making disingenuous proclamations of guilt or innocence, thus driving us to pray for the souls of those who are involved.  We need You Father, to bring honor and justice to our nation, in Jesus name.

- "From that time, Jesus began to preach and to say, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.'"  (Matthew 4:17)

Israel Unveils New Devices For Breaching Hamas Tunnels

While fighting on the ground will be tough as Hamas terrorists have prepared fortified defensive positions, the battle beneath Gaza, through the tunnels known as the “Gaza Metro,” will be the most dangerous for Israeli troops.

As I described earlier, the terrorist tunnel network is thought to be hundreds of miles long and dense with deadly booby traps.

It is also where Hamas is holding many of the 200 kidnapped Israeli and foreign hostages and where its bloodthirsty leaders hope to ambush the most Israeli troops.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces have one extremely novel device to counter Hamas in its own tunnels. As the Telegraph reported: “Israel will use novel ‘sponge bombs' as it fights through the network of Hamas tunnels under Gaza.”

The chemical ‘bombs' aren't really bombs since they contain no explosives. The so-called “sponge bombs” create a sudden ‘explosion' of foam that rapidly expands and then hardens.

They will be used to seal off gaps or tunnel entrances where terrorists may be waiting to ambush. They could also suffocate Hamas terrorists like rats. (American Liberty News)
Read more here.

- Lord God, we praise You for the creativity shown by the IDF in creating a way to eliminate their true enemies - Hamas - without injuring or killing the citizens of Gaza. Thank You, O Lord, for this news. We ask that every "Iron Sting" mortar round and Spongebomb will be used efficiently so that the lives of innocent civilians can be spared in this war. In Your Name, Lord God, we offer this prayer, amen.

- "I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions." (Proverbs 8:12 KJV)
The center of gravity of a world aflame: The Chinese regime is the ‘focus of evil in the modern world’

A world aflame compels a reflection on strategic priorities. The wars in Europe and the Middle East are brutal struggles and humanitarian disasters that are certain to become even worse.

Each war is pregnant with the possibility of escalation to higher levels of conflict and involving more states. At this time when U.S. resources are stressed, and there is a possibility of greater conflict, it is important to keep the U.S. focus on the enemy’s center of gravity.

The head of the snake is the Chinese regime. If that could be eliminated, Iran and its allies would be far lesser threats, and Russia under Vladimir Putin would be as well. To borrow from President Ronald Reagan’s March 8, 1983 “Evil Empire” address to the National Association of Evangelicals in Orlando, where he termed the Soviet Union the “focus of evil in the modern world,” so, too, today is the Chinese regime the focus of evil in the modern world. The center of gravity of these wars is found in the ideology and ambition of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

A path to its defeat is through offensive political warfare—undermining its chokehold on the Chinese people so that they can overthrow this odious regime and so it can no longer generate and support conflict the world over. (Center for Security Policy) Read more here.

- Holy God, we thank You that, no matter how powerful the "kings of the earth" deem themselves to be, only YOU, Holy One, are the King of all kings and the Lord of all Lords! We ask that You grant Your wisdom to our elected officials as they navigate these treacherous waters, but in the end. we ask that they walk in Your peace knowing that You, Abba, are in control of the affairs of men. In Your Name, we offer this prayer, amen and amen!

- "Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord." (Zechariah 4:6)
And Now . . . Lion of Judah: ROAR!!!!
"The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies."

Massive 'Devil Comet' with ice volcano
and 'horns' to light up Earth skies
The comet was first discovered in 1812 and has an orbital period of roughly 71 years

A "Devil Comet," twice the size of Mount Everest, is shooting toward Earth but likely does not pose any threat to humanity, according to an astronomer.

"It might be bright enough that you can see with your naked eye or with binoculars, but that's not because it's going to be super close," Teddy Kareta, a postdoctoral researcher at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona, told Insider. "It's because it's just generally very bright."

Better known in the scientific community as 12P/Pons-Brooks, the so-called "Devil Comet" was first discovered in 1812 before it was spotted again in 1883, SkyLive reported. It is known as a periodic comet with an orbital period of roughly 71 years.

It is also considered one of just roughly 20 other comets with an active ice volcano, according to The British Astronomical Association. Cold volcano comets contain a mix of ice, dust and gas known as cryomagma, and are surrounded by gas that leaks out from the inside, Live Science reported. Read More

A Special Message
The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."

Scripture: Pray then like this: Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Matthew 6:9

Lyrics:

Our Father in Heaven
Hallowed be Your name
Your Kingdom come quickly
Your will be done the same

On Earth as it is in Heaven
Let Heaven come to earth
As it is in Heaven
 Let Heaven come

Our Father in Heaven
Hallowed be Your name
Your Kingdom come quickly
Your will be done the same

On earth as it is in Heaven
Let Heaven come to earth
As it is in Heaven

 Let Heaven come
Yours is the Kingdom,
Yours is the power
Yours is the glory forever,
amen

Yours is the Kingdom,
Yours is the power
Yours is the glory forever,
amen
