After a Pause, Jan. 6 Arrests Are Now Sharply Increasing
|

The FBI is making arrests and the DOF is filing charges at the quickest pace in three years, pushing the expected total up to 2,150 arrests by 2026
|
|
The pace of FBI arrests and the opening of new Jan. 6 criminal cases quickened so much in late 2023 and early 2024 that District of Columbia federal courts could bend under the weight.
In the past two months, 93 people have been arrested and charged, according to Department of Justice (DOJ) reports.
At the current rate, some 445 new cases could hit the docket in 2024—more than in 2022 and 2023, according to one estimate.
In total, up to March 6, at least 1,358 people have been arrested by the FBI and criminally charged by the Department of Justice (DOJ) for crimes related to Jan. 6.
If the current trend is to hold, total arrests could be 2,150 by the time the statute of limitations on Jan. 6 crimes expires in early 2026, according to Jacob Rugh, associate professor of sociology at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Mr. Rugh and researcher Isabella Felin have been publishing Jan. 6 statistics and data visualization on X and Instagramsince August 2022.
William Shipley, a former federal prosecutor who has represented more than 50 Jan. 6 defendants, said he noticed an upswing in cases starting in September 2023. (Read more)

DARIEN GAP, Panama—The ripe smell of garbage baking in the tropical sun mixed with the stench of human waste is one of the first things visitors notice at Bajo Chiquito, one of four large migrant camps in the Darién Gap.
The next is a sea of weary migrants, who hiked from Colombia along the infamous jungle trail, lined up to be processed by Panamanian officials.One young boy in line with a furrowed brow seems worried. Others stare blankly at ramshackle buildings slapped together with wood, tin, and cinder blocks. They wait patiently in the brutal heat and humidity.
Most of them are coming to the United States aided by the United Nations, its nongovernmental partners, and regimes hostile to the United States.Experts have said the migrants are being used as a weapon, just as deadly as a missile aimed straight at the United States.
Mass migration is being “weaponized” to overwhelm and destabilize the United States and ultimately break it apart, according to Joseph Humire, who studies unconventional warfare and is the executive director of the Center for a Secure Free Society.
That’s why I think the term ‘invasion’ is appropriate,” Mr. Humire told The Epoch Times.
Migrant Pawns
Last year, a record 500,000 migrants traveled through the Darién Gap, documents show.

1. Netanyahu: Israel will push on with Gaza war on Hamas, including in Rafah - Jerusalem Post
Israel will push on with its offensive against Hamas, including into the southern Gaza city of Rafah, despite growing international pressure to stop, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday.
Netanyahu has vowed to destroy Hamasafter its terrorists attacked southern Israel on Oct. 7, killing 1,200 people and abducting 253. More than 30,000 people have been killed in Gaza during Israel's subsequent offensive, Hamas health authorities estimate, prompting worldwide criticism and condemnation.
"There is international pressure and it's growing, but particularly when the international pressure rises, we must close ranks, we need to stand together against the attempts to stop the war," he said. (Read more)

2. UN Amb. to Arutz Sheva: UN's silence forces us to take action - Israel National News
Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Gilad Erdan, who returned to Israel for consultations following what Israeli officials called the UN's attempt to suppress its report this week documenting the mass rape and sexual violence committed by Hamas terrorists on October 7, said in an interview withIsrael National News - Arutz Sheva that Israel must have a firm response to the UN's behavior since the massacre.
"We see the crime added to crime by the UN, its officials, and its bodies," Erdan said. "It took five months for the United Nations to recognize the shocking acts of rape and sexual violence committed by Hamas against Israeli women during the October 7 massacre. We cried out and I demanded and insisted that UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence Pramila Patten visit here. She came for an in-depth two-week visit with a delegation that met with and took testimony from witnesses, victims, and even hostages who were returned from Gaza. She wrote a detailed report that indicates that there were sexual crimes. Moreover, Israeli women who are even now being held captive in Gaza may be raped or suffer sexual violence."
"I knew that as part of the UN's attempt at 'balance', she also visited the Palestinian Authority and there they made false claims against soldiers and the IDF and settlers for harassment. She visited there but did not do any inspections and only listened to the lies that the Palestinians told. This report is very important. It proves what we said, that we are dealing with monsters and not with human beings, and therefore the war must not be stopped until Hamas is destroyed so that there will be no ability to again commit such shocking acts," the ambassador emphasized. 3. Israel Says South Africa Exploiting World Court on Behalf of Hamas - Algemeiner
Israel accused South Africa on Thursday of acting “as the legal arm of Hamas” after Pretoria again petitioned the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to take measures against Israel.
A South African government spokesperson dismissed the accusation.
“South Africa continues to act as the legal arm of Hamas in an attempt to undermineIsrael‘s inherent right to defend itself and its citizens, and to release all of the hostages,” Israel‘s foreign ministry said.
“The repeated requests for provisional measures made by South Africa in order to assist Hamas are yet another cynical exploitation of the International Court of Justice in the Hague, which has already twice rejected the baseless attempts to deny Israel its right and obligation of self-defense,” it said.
Clayson Monyela, a spokesperson for South Africa’s department of international relations and cooperation, said: “South Africa has spelled out its concerns in its application to the ICJ. They [Israel] know what they are doing. It is absurd to keep saying that South Africa is acting on behalf of Hamas.” (Read more)

4. Hamas Delegation Leaves Cairo Without Closing a Hostage Deal - Jerusalem Post
The Hamas terrorist organization has walked away from negotiations in Cairo for a temporary ceasefire and hostage release deal brokered by Qatar, Egypt and the United States.
Israel did not attend this round of talks, seeing no point in wasting time after repeated sessions in which Hamas consistently refused to compromise on demands deemed “delusional” by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Israel itself has demanded a detailed list of the names of remaining hostages and specific information on which of these hostages are living and which are not.
Hamas has declined to cooperate; its officials have said they are unable to produce a detailed list of the hostages who remain in captivity, nor a list of those hostages who are still living, claiming they have “lost touch” with some of their captors. (Read more)

5. US to build temporary port to deliver Gaza aid - Reuters
WASHINGTON, March 7 (Reuters) - President Joe Biden will announce in his State of the Union speech on Thursday that the U.S. military will construct a temporary port on Gaza's Mediterranean coast to receive humanitarian aid by sea, senior administration officials said.
Planning for the operation, initially based on the island of Cyprus, does not envisage the deployment of U.S. military personnel in Gaza, the officials told a news briefing.
The officials also said that Hamas is delaying a new deal with Israel on a six-week ceasefire and the release of hostages because the Islamists who rule Gaza have not agreed to free sick and elderly captives. (Read more)

a landmark, unanimous decision on March 4 clarifying that states don’t have authority under the 14th Amendment to disqualify candidates for federal office.
The March 4 opinion centralized decision-making with Congress and effectively negated the possibility of multiple, ongoing court battles in states such as Colorado.
It also nullified rulings that former President Donald Trump was disqualified in Maine and Illinois and removed the disqualification option from state judges, whose decisions could have been used to justify similar moves in other states.

4. Utility Company’s Power Lines Ignited Massive Texas Wildfires: Officials - The Gateway Pundit
Power lines ignited the massive Texas wildfires, officials said on Thursday. Utility company Xcel Energy said its power lines sparked the Smokehouse Creek fire in the Texas panhandle.
“Based on currently available information, Xcel Energy acknowledges that its equipment appear to have been involved in an ignition of the Smokehouse Creek fire,” the company stated.
The deadly Texas wildfires have scorched over 1 million acres, killed thousands of livestock and destroyed crops. Ranches burned, highways were shut down and thousands were evacuated.
The number of cattle killed in the wildfires in not known at this time.
Massive wildfires engulfed parts of the Texas panhandle this week amid gusty winds and unseasonably warm weather. (Read more)

6. Bracing for Impact: The Unavoidable Hard Landing for America’s Economy – Prophecy Newswatch
Ellen Zentner is Morgan Stanley's chief U.S. economist, and during an interview with CNBC this week she warned that "the tightening impacts from monetary policy" will have enormous consequences for the U.S. economy in the months ahead...
"We will have a hard landing at some point. I guarantee you that. We're all wondering: When does that come?" she said. "The point that Dimon makes is that there are these cumulative impacts that build over time, and we are in the camp that we haven't yet seen all of the tightening impacts from monetary policy," she added, referring to the impact of Fed rate hikes.
She makes a really great point. The consequences of interest rate hikes are felt over time. Higher interest rates have certainly started to cause a lot of problems, but if rates are not brought down soon the level of pain that we are experiencing will begin to go up dramatically.
Unfortunately, the Fed is not likely to reduce interest rates any time soon because inflation continues to run hotter than expected...Inflation increased by the largest amount in almost a year, according to the Fed's preferred measure - confirming expectations interest rates will not be cut until around June. 7. 6 Big Failures of Biden’s Presidency – The Daily Signal
The state of the union is feeble. That’s what many Americans believe as President Joe Biden is set to make his fourth, and perhaps final, State of the Union address Thursday evening.Regardless of what he says in the speech, the reality of Biden’s tenure is that the American people are not only uneasy but deeply pessimistic about the country’s future.Why are Americans so down about the state of the union?
They ’re down not only because of a crumbling confidence in the country’s most powerful institutions , but because of the failures of the man sitting in the Oval Office.
Here’s my roundup of what I think are the six most prominent failures of the Biden presidency so far.
The Worst Border Crisis in US History
This is the most obvious failure of the Biden administration, a failure that gets to the heart of what this administration and the modern Left are all about.
The first thing Biden did when he became president was strip away the border security measures of the previous administration. His administration continued to tear away at every measure that would allow for effective enforcement According to a Fox News report late last month, about 7.2 million illegal border crossings have occurred since Biden became president. This is a higher number than the population of 36 different states.
The DEI Bureaucratic Cultural Revolution
The Biden administration has made it clear that its bureaucratic priority—no matter what Cabinet department—is always advancing “equity.”
Administration officials aren’t doing this by ensuring that Americans will be treated equally under the law. Instead the goal is the opposite: to wholly racialize the American republic and to turn us into warring “oppressed” groups clawing for scraps from the federal government.
Weaponized Agencies
Not only is the federal bureaucracy working relentlessly to promote DEI and the cultural revolution, but it’s also been outright weaponized to attack political opponents of the regime.
In 2022, I warned about the massive expansion of the Internal Revenue Service. It wasn’t hard to see how this would quickly be abused. Sure enough, the IRS stepped up its policy of unannounced home visits, a tactic later abandoned because of pressure from Congress. Even more disturbingly, before the policy was ended, the IRS made an unannounced visit to journalist Matt Taibbi’s house the same day he testified to Congress about the cozy connection between the Biden administration and Big Tech companies.
It isn’t just the IRS that’s the problem. The Department of Justice and the FBI have also been weaponized against Americans who disagree with the Biden administration’s preferred political narratives. (Read more)

8. Artificial Intelligence: Are We Summoning up Demons? Harbingers Daily
About seven years ago, I started to become aware of a phenomenon known as “artificial intelligence” or “AI.” The first troubling headline I saw stated, “Ex-Google Executive Anthony Levandowski is Founding a Church Where People Worship an Artificial Intelligence God.”The second headline read, “Why Humans Will Happily Follow a Robot Messiah.” I started watching videos online of robots who look human and who “think.” They answer questions and seem to process real thoughts. Developers of these robots say someday they will solve society’s problems. Such men also believe that it is possible for artificial intelligence to be a billion times smarter than humans. Try to process that!
Various leaders in the field of “AI” have made some of the following statements:
- “The human era could be ending and machines will take over.”
- “He who develops AI rules the world. We aren’t going to be able to control it.”
- “We are summoning up demons.”
- “We are playing with fire.”
Maybe this new religion isn’t the promise of paradise after all. Some promoting AI are evangelists and some of them offer a new Promised Land. But some of the very movers and shakers of the artificial intelligence industry are sounding serious warnings.

- Abba Father, thank You for Your all-encompassing love for Your children! You know that many of us don’t have the background knowledge to totally understand AI and its many implications for our lives and culture. We will trust You to bring discernment and protection as needed—give us great wisdom and understanding as we traverse this “Brave [Insane] New World”, ears to hear Your warnings and eyes to see the escape routes You are providing. We especially pray this for our younger generation that is so drawn to technology.
We have heard mixed reviews of AI from Christian leaders—the good and the bad—control and manipulation on one side and some medical technology as an example of the flip side of AI. Father, please keep us on the ‘good side’ of AI, if there is one; and instruct us in all that we do. We resubmit our lives to You, and pray we will never come under the AI “spells” of the evil one.

Donald Trump is a controversial figure. He stirs emotions, both pro and con. But when one examines what the Democratic Party and the administrative state/deep state are doing to him, there is a question that should come to mind to all: If they can do this to him, will they also do it to us? The answer is “yes.” What we are seeing in this country is an attack, not just on Trump, but on all of us. Anyone who dare question the Leviathan of government is suspect. Trump is representative of the populist mind-think. The court cases the Democrat-controlled judiciary are scoring against Trump are precedent-setting in the sense that they single out a person with the intent of destroying his viability as a citizen. You could be next.
Recall that it was Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, the Democratic National Committee and actors in the FBI who paid Fusion GPS to fabricate a story that Trump was colluding with Russia to sway the election. Obama even used the report to get a FISA secret court warrant to spy on Trump’s campaign. After the election, a special prosecutor was appointed, who spent millions of taxpayer dollars to try to prove Trump’s guilt. They came up with nothing. Since then, it has been a marathon of court cases against Trump—one so ridiculous in New York over a loan that Trump paid off, but the New York prosecutor fined him nearly half a billion dollars and is shutting down his businesses for overvaluing his business worth on a bank application. Caroline Glick speaks with Rep. Bob Good (VA-05) about his efforts to fight against the Biden administration's call for a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. Rep. Good chairs the House Freedom Caucus and wrote a resolution backed by close to 40 Representatives that rebukes President Biden for his push for a Palestinian State amongst other things. The resolution also demands a halt of aid to the Gaza Strip until more oversight is provided. They also discuss what can be done on a Congressional and political level to ensure that the US remains supportive of Israel in its fight against Hamas.

Red Heifers Ready For The Temple By Passover?
|

Game changing developments are happening right now in Israel concerning the Third Temple. Probably the most critical missing link preventing the rebuilding of the Temple, is set to fall into place within months with crucial help from Christians.
Meanwhile Hamas is watching the developments closely and have even claimed it to be a major part of their motivation for the heinous Oct. 7 terror attack. With tensions already at boiling point across the Middle East, will we shortly see Israel take bold steps towards rebuilding the Temple?
Christian Rancher Provides the Missing Link
The final missing piece of the Third Temple project - the infamous ashes of a red heifer - is now only months away from falling into place. Theses ashes are Biblically mandated for purification in a range of situations including contact with dead bodies (see Num. 19).
Without the red heifer ashes, priests and Levites currently in training with the Temple Institute are disqualified from serving in a future rebuilt Temple. Furthermore, with all the bloodshed on the Temple Mount down through the centuries, the Mount itself must be cleansed before the Temple can be built.
The problem is that finding an unblemished red heifer is extremely rare. In recent years, Temple activists have had their efforts end in frustration time and again. Potential red heifer candidates have been located with great excitement, only to end up later developing white hairs or getting otherwise disqualified before they reach the required age to be sacrificed.
It was in this context that Byron Stinson, a Christian rancher from Texas, baffled Rabbis in 2022 as he invited them to his ranch to inspect what turned out to be five unblemished red heifers. Read More
