Rev. Sam Rodriguez joins faith leaders in Oval Office to pray for President Trump
Reverend Samuel Rodriguez joined other influential faith leaders from across the country for a meeting with the White House Faith Office on Wednesday. The meeting was a time for leaders to share the goals and concerns of their constituents with the president. The meeting concluded with a time of prayer in the Oval Office, during which Rev. Rodriguez laid his hands on the president and prayed for God to cover him and protect him from all harm and evil.

“Heavenly Father,” prayed Pastor Samuel Rodriguez, president of the NHCLC, “With gratitude and humility, we pray for President Trump. You assigned him, you appointed him, you anointed him for such a time as this. We ask You to cover him with the blood of Jesus, empowering him to advance an agenda of righteousness and justice, truth and love. Protect him from all evil as he undergirds our nation with the firewall of our Judeo-Christian value system. Fulfill Your purpose in his life. And as a result, we pray by faith that through his leadership, the following will take place in America—the fulfillment of Isaiah 58:8: Salvation will come like the dawn. Wounds will quickly heal. Godliness will lead us forward as the glory of God will protect us from behind. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” (NHCLC) Read More Here
- Abba Father we rejoice for answered prayer in having an appointed and anointed President in the White House that invites You, through prayer and Christian counsel, into every detail of our government. May Your plans and purposes be accomplished through every meeting with the 'White House Faith Office'. We stand in agreement with Pastor Rodriguez' prayer of protection and guidance for President Trump, and include his cabinet, and ask that they would be lead by Your Holy Spirit in bringing biblical re-alignment back into our nation. We give You all the glory as our King of kings and Lord of lords! By the Blood of Yeshua- Amen and Amen.

- "I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity." (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

DeSantis says Florida Returned $878M in Taxpayer Funds to Federal Govt After Meeting with Musk

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, said Friday that the state was returning more than $878 million to the federal government that it had been attempting to give back for the past few years during the Biden administration.

DeSantis' office informed the U.S. Treasury Department that $878,112,000 would be returned to the federal government.

The governor said the move came after a meeting with billionaire Elon Musk and his team at the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE.

"For years, Florida has been trying to return federal funds to the federal government due to the ideological strings attached by the Biden Administration—but they couldn't even figure out how to accept it," DeSantis wrote Friday on X. (Fox News) Read more

- Lord, we thank You that Florida was finally able to return this large sum of money to the US Treasury. We pray that such actions will ultimately benefit ordinary Americans, and stop the flow of fraudulent funds to bureaucrats. We pray, too, for
the governors of our other 49 states, that they, too, would follow Florida's example,
returning all funds due to the federal government.  Amen.

- “You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth, you will bring me up again. You will increase my greatness and comfort me again.” (Psalm 71: 20-21)

Trump Administration Revoking Legal Status of Over 500K Biden-Era Migrants

The Trump administration is revoking the legal status of more than 500,000 migrants who entered the United States through a Biden administration parole program.

CBS News reported that 532,000 migrants from countries such as Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, who entered the country through a program called CHNV, will have their “work permits and deportation protections” terminated in April.

Per CBS News:

The move will affect immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela who flew to the U.S. under a Biden administration program, known as CHNV, that was designed to reduce illegal immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border by giving would-be migrants legal migration avenues.

A total of 532,000 migrants entered the U.S. under that policy, which was paused soon after President Trump took office, though it’s unclear how many have been able to secure another status that will allow them to stay in the country legally.

In a notice, it was revealed that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) would be “terminating the categorical parole programs for inadmissible aliens from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela and their immediate family members”: (Breitbart) Read more

- Father, we thank You that the federal government is attempting to clean up the difficulties created by the Biden parole program. We ask that Your wisdom prevail over this action, and that those who have a legitimate asylum claim will come here legally through legal methods.

- “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)

Christians Prepare Prayer Site on Israel's Northern Border

Israelis from northern communities were evacuated from their homes roughly 15 months ago and have been living as refugees since then. Recently, the Israeli government gave the green light to residents that they could return to their homes in the north as of March 1, 2025.

I recently had the honor of serving with a group of 8 volunteers who came from Texas, Idaho, Oregon, and Canada. We were serving with Zechariah’s Hope, a ministry founded in 2006 focusing on serving and supporting Northern Israel. Carl Palinkas, founder of Z-Hope, has developed a special relationship with Misgav Am, the northernmost kibbutz bordering Lebanon.

Our team stayed on the kibbutz for two weeks. Our project focus was to prepare the prayer site for returning residents, tourists and visitors from the nations. The prayer site is perched high on a mountaintop with a commanding view looking down into Lebanon. To the right, you see a stunning view of Mount Hermon.

The Zechariah’s Hope Volunteer team spent several days cutting back brush, pulling weeds, and picking up debris from the war. Our team worked with joy as we got our hands dirty working to clean up and beautify God’s land.

Zechariah’s Hope plans to bring more volunteer teams back to Misgav Am in 2025 to work on the following:
*Upgrades/maintenance to the prayer site at Misgav Am
*Serving at the kibbutz alongside Israelis
*Cleaning and upgrades to kibbutz bomb shelters
*Maintenance/upgrades at The Olive Grove

There will be a blend of serving and occasional day trips to tour significant sights in Northern Israel. A three-night trip to Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, and Masada, is included. (Israel 365 News) Read more

- Abba, thank you for raising up these volunteers who were able to serve on Israel's northern border to clean up the prayer site that overlooks Lebanon. We pray that you will raise up more volunteers to come later this year who can come to Israel to serve with a heart of love.

- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. “And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. (Mark 10:43-44)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. ISA confirms investigation into Ben-Gvir and Israel Police - Israel National News

The ISA has been conducting a covert investigation against the police on suspicion of subverting the rule of law and democracy.

According to Channel 12, a secret document drafted by the ISA stated: "We have identified the spread of Kahanism within law enforcement institutions as a dangerous phenomenon whose prevention is part of the ISA's mission. Given the involvement of politicians, this must be done with reason and with utmost caution." Kahanism is the colloquial term for the set of beliefs espoused by Rabbis Meir and Binyamin Kahane, including a call for reduced rights for Arabs.

The ISA was instructed to gather information covertly. "Evidence and testimony should continue to be collected on the involvement of politicians in the actions of security officials, towards the application of force in a manner contrary to the law, and to come up with several examples." 2. IDF hits launch site in Gaza after rocket fire on Ashkelon - JNS

The Israel Defense Forces on Friday night struck the launcher in northern Gaza from which Palestinian terrorists fired two rockets at Ashkelon earlier in the day.

The Hamas deliberately placed the launcher near a humanitarian zone in the Al-Furqan neighborhood, according to the military.

Prior to the strike, steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of aerial surveillance, additional intelligence and precise munitions, said the IDF.

“This is further evidence of Hamas’s systematic exploitation of civilians and civilian structures for terrorist activities throughout the Gaza Strip,” added the army. (Read more)

3. IDF strikes Hezbollah targets in south Lebanon following rocket attack on Israel
- i24 News

The Israeli air force early on Saturday struck dozens of Hezbollah rocket launchers and a command center from which Hezbollah terrorists were operating in southern Lebanon.

The strikes represented a retaliation for the first rocket attack on Israel from Lebanon since the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah took hold in November of last year.  The IDF said the aggression "constitutes a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and is a direct threat to the citizens of the State of Israel. The State of Lebanon bears responsibility for upholding the agreement."

At least three jihadists were killed in the IDF strikes, local reports said.

The Lebanese military, meanwhile, dismantled Hezbollah launchers. (Read more)

4. IDF Orders Evacuation of Gazans from Tel al-Sultan, Encircles Neighborhood
- Algemeiner

i24 News – The Israel Defense Forces issued an “urgent” and immediate evacuation warning for Palestinians in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood in the southern Gaza Strip’s Rafah on Sunday.

“The area you are in is considered a dangerous combat zone,” IDF Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee said.

Later, the IDF said that it had encircled the neighborhood.

This comes as the military has relaunched an offensive last week against Hamas and other terrorist groups in Gaza. So far, the operation on the ground has focused on Beit Lahiya in the north, the Netzarim Corridor in the center, and the Philadelphi Corridor in the south.

On Saturday, the IDF advanced into Beit Hanoun, near Beit Lahiya, allowing civilians to evacuate as it destroys terrorist infrastructure and expands the security perimeter.

5. Security cabinet approves 13 West Bank ‘neighborhoods’ to become independent settlements - Times of Israel

The security cabinet has approved a decision to split off 13 so-called “neighborhoods” of existing West Bank settlements from their “mother settlement,” thereby turning them into 13 independent settlements.

Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who advanced the security cabinet’s decision in his additional role as a minister in the Defense Ministry, described the move on Sunday as an important step to the path of “de facto [Israeli] sovereignty” over the West Bank.

The “neighborhoods” in question were built many years, and even decades, ago, as illegal settlement outposts, that is, without formal cabinet approval.

Some of these outposts were retroactively legalized by the government by way of approving building plans for the construction of a new neighborhood for an authorized and legal settlement at the site of the illegal outpost, even when, as in many cases, that outpost was several kilometers from the original settlement. 1. White House thanks UAE for agreeing to 10-year, $1.4 trillion investment framework - Fox

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has agreed to a 10-year, $1.4 trillion investment framework, the White House announced on Friday, saying it will "substantially increase the UAE’s existing investments in the U.S. economy."  The White House said the investments would be in AI infrastructure, semiconductors, energy, American manufacturing and more.

The White House said in a press release that the UAE agreed to the framework after President Donald Trump hosted the UAE National Security Advisor, HH Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for a meeting in the Oval Office.

The sheikh thanked Trump for "the warm welcome and hospitality" in a post on X. He said their discussions focused on the future of U.S.-UAE relations.

"The UAE remains committed to strengthening its economic ties with the U.S. by accelerating investments in artificial intelligence, advanced technology, infrastructure, energy, and healthcare – key pillars for sustainable growth and development," Sheikh Tahnoon added. Read more

- Lord, as different nations step up to promise investments in the United States, we specifically pray that Your Spirit would protect our nation and the Trump administration from subterfuge and lies. We pray Your hedge of protection over the US and over President Trump. May the Blood of Jesus prevail against false gods, hidden dangers, and any evil plans.

- “But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

2. Boeing’s double dose of good news: Fighter jets and cash – Fox business

Boeing caught a break this week with two pieces of good news that sent its stock up more than 10% over the past five days.

The U.S. Air Force on Friday selected the aerospace giant to build and deliver its next suite of fighter jets, beating out other top aerospace companies, namely Lockheed Martin. The Next-Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) Platform is something no other country can match, according to President Donald Trump.

"The F-47 will be the most advanced, most capable, most lethal aircraft ever built. An experimental version of the plane has secretly been flying for almost five years, and we're confident that it massively overpowers the capabilities of any other nation," Trump said while announcing the contract along with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Read more

- Lord, we praise You for this upgraded war plane and ask that You prevent it from cost-overruns and snags that could cause dangers to our pilots. The US military is in great need of fresh technology. We pray that Boeing will be sure to dump its DEI focus and hire only highly qualified, skilled workers for this project.

- “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.” (1 Corinthians 16:13)

3. Treasury Adviser Sounds Alarm About IRS ’30 Years Behind Schedule And $15 Billion Over Budget’ – Daily Caller

U.S. Treasury Special Adviser Sam Corcos said Thursday on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” that the IRS is not only 30 years behind schedule but also $15 billion over budget.

In February, calls to make cuts to the IRS circulated just prior to Feb. 20, when reports said the agency had begun laying off between 120 and 150 employees from its Denver office. On “The Ingraham Angle,” Corcos joined U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. Host Laura Ingraham asked Corcos what led him to the position and what his top goal is.

“I’ve been brought in to look at the IRS’ modernization program in particular, as well as the operations and maintenance budget,” Corcos said. “I really care a lot about this country. This is a huge program that’s currently 30 years behind schedule, and it’s already $15 billion over budget.”  Read more

- Lord, we thank You for the DOGE team finding the problems and waste, and ask You to help us remember to pray during this time. We ask that You help them fix what needs fixing and flush the programs that need removal.   May Your Spirit hover over the people, bringing truth and righteous change to the IRS.

- “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” (James 5:16b)

4. Education Department duties will be handled by SBA and HHS, Trump says after ordering DOE dismantling- New York Post

Duties once carried out by the Department of Education will be handled by the Small Business Administration and Department of Health and Human Services, President Trump revealed Friday after ordering the DOE to begin winding down operations.

“I’ve decided that the SBA, the Small Business Administration headed by Kelly Loeffler, terrific person, will handle all of the student loan portfolio,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, referring to the $1.6 trillion in federally backed loans currently under the DOE’s purview.

That responsibility will be transferred to the SBA “immediately,” Trump added. “They’re all set for it.”

HHS, led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., will be in charge of “[funding for] special needs [students] and all the nutrition programs and everything else,” the president went on.

- Lord, thank You that the critical portions of the DOE have been moved to other areas. We pray that all changes will move swiftly and smoothly without problems.

- “And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.” (Isaiah 42:16)

5. DHS Purging 3 Offices It Says Add Bureaucratic Hurdles- Newsmax

The Department of Homeland Security is eliminating three of its watchdog agencies that it said "obstructed immigration enforcement by adding bureaucratic hurdles and undermining" the department's mission.

The cuts came as DHS and other federal departments are working to abide by President Donald Trump's directions for broad reductions in force and reorganizations.

DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin told The Washington Post on Friday that the agency has ordered a "reduction in force" for the Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, the Office of the Immigration Detention Ombudsman, and the Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman. Employees will be terminated within 60 days if they do not find another assignment inside the department. Read more

- Father, thank You that DHS Secretary Noem is moving to downsize the agency, and remove burdensome hurdles. We ask that only that which You have in mind will be brought into this important cabinet department. We pray for Secretary Noem, that wisdom and life from Your Throne would be her guide.

- “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

6. Thank God He’s In The White House’: Freed Hostage Praises Trump Upon Returning Home After Years In Captivity- Daily Caller

George Glezmann, an airline mechanic held hostage by the Taliban, praised President Donald Trump Friday upon his return from two-and-a-half years in captivity.

The U.S. State Department secured Glezmann’s release through negotiations with the Taliban in Qatar Thursday after his family spent years pleading with former President Joe Biden’s administration to free him. The now-freed hostage, who was taken hostage in December 2022 when visiting Afghanistan, credited Trump for his freedom.

“I feel born again, I’m in debt with the president. President Trump is amazing, you know, thank God he is in the White House where he got me out,” Glezmann said. “Marco Rubio, Mike Waltz, Adam Boehler. I’m in debt with everybody that was involved in this situation because they got me home. A free American individual [is] free from the hands of these people that abducted [me] because of my U.S. passport and I’m just thankful. I’ve got no words to express my gratitude for my liberty, my freedom.” Read more

- We praise You, Lord for the return of this hostage. We pray that all American hostages be released wherever they may be, that their families might be granted Your peace.

- “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way.”        (2 Thessalonians 3:16b )

Memories of trip to East Germany while under Communism
Dear Friends,

We want to share a very special report with you, below, written by one of our friends.

Although most of us have only a vague idea of what it is like to have to live in a nation under communist oppression, she actually lived in that environment during a visit to East Germany in 1976.

We have asked our friend to journal her experiences in East Germany, to serve as a "wake up call" to all of us who now live in blissful freedom in our own land. She has kindly consented to our request, and you will find her report below. We praise God for that freedom, and we will all we can do to secure and to cherish that freedom for as long as we live.

Thank you.

Sara Ballenger
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners
I was sharing on a prayer call about my trip to East Germany when it was still under communist control and a friend asked me to record my memories so the truth could be recorded before it is lost to those who have never had the experience.

My husband’s family is from East Germany and in 1976, his parents wanted us to go with them to visit his relatives who lived there. It was a extremely complicated process from the very beginning. You not only needed a passport but you also had to apply for a special visa that allowed you to visit only the area where his relatives lived. You were not able to travel outside of that area while you were in East Germany.

Report: Kash Patel to Cut 'as Many as 1,000 ATF Agents

A report from CNN indicates FBI director Kash Patel — who is also ATF acting director — plans to cut “as many as 1,000 ATF agents” and move them to the FBI.

This will represent a cut of roughly one third of the ATF’s current agents.

According to CNN:

The move represents a major cutback of the ATF, an agency that long has been in the crosshairs of gun rights groups that believe its work infringes on Second Amendment rights. The ATF has about 2,600 agents and more than 5,000 employees, a number that has remained largely unchanged for years.

Gabby Giffords’ gun-control group, Giffords, responded to news of Patel’s plans with a post to X, which said, “This decision would increase crime and hurt law enforcement. The ATF is the only federal law enforcement agency stopping gun traffickers from flooding communities across the country with illegal guns. Weakening the ATF will make all us less safe.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

- Father God, in our haste to reduce government waste, let us not make foolish decisions. The work of the ATF is vital to our national security -- one whose highly trained agents would be very difficult to replace. Help us, O Lord, to do Thy will for the protection of our people. In Your Name, Abba, amen and amen.

Waltz tells Iran to give up nuclear program or 'there will be consequences'
Trump keeping 'all options on the table,' including diplomacy, NSA says

The Trump administration is calling on Iran to give up its entire nuclear program or face the consequences, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz said Sunday.

Waltz said it was time for Iran to "walk away completely" from its pursuit of nuclear weapons, pushing for a "full dismantlement" during an appearance on CBS’ "Face the Nation."

"This isn't some kind of, you know, kind of tit-for-tat that we had under the Obama administration or Biden," Waltz said. "This is the full program. Give it up or there will be consequences."

Waltz did not specify what kind of consequences Iran could face, though he said President Donald Trump is keeping "all options on the table," including diplomacy. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord of angel armies, We ask for you to watch over this situation with Iran. Give keen discernment and wisdom to President Trump and  Mike Waltz as they go about  getting Iran to dismantle  their nuclear capabilities.

Cut off the arrogance and wickedness of the nations that threaten America and Israel and the safety of our people. Your word is clear, that You will bring upon them their own iniquity and cut them off in their own wickedness. We thank you, Lord, that you already have a solution to this request. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

NTSB finds 68 US bridges need to be assessed for risk of collapse if hit by ship

Washington (CNN) — Sixty-eight bridges across the US should be assessed to see if they are at risk of collapse if hit by a ship, transportation safety officials found, while urging the bridges’ owners to undertake immediate vulnerability assessments. The four urgent safety recommendations are part of the National Transportation Safety Board’s ongoing investigation into the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore last year.

In the early hours of March 26, 2024, the container ship Dali lost power after leaving the Port of Baltimore and struck a pillar of the Key Bridge, causing it to collapse, killing six construction workers who fell into the Patapsco River. The Dali suffered a pair of catastrophic electrical failures minutes before the crash, according to a preliminary report released by the NTSB last May.

The Key Bridge was above the acceptable level of risk based on guidance established by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, or AASHTO, NTSB officials said. But the owner of the bridge never evaluated that risk.

“The Maryland Transportation Authority never ran the calculation on the Key Bridge,” NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy told reporters Thursday. “Had they ran the calculation on the Francis Scott Key Bridge, the MDTA would have been aware that the bridge was almost 30 times greater than the risk threshold AASHTO sets for critical, essential bridges.”

The NTSB identified 68 other bridges in 19 states spanning waterways frequented by cargo ships that, like the Key Bridge, were built before 1991 and do not have a current vulnerability assessment. Owners of the bridges that have higher than acceptable risk ratings should create a plan to reduce that risk, Thursday’s findings say. Read More

Thought for the Day
"For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.  But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does." (James 1:23-25)
A Special Message
