Minneapolis Forced to Pay $450,000 After Censoring Pro-Life Free Speech
The city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, has agreed to pay $450,000 in attorneys’ fees after settling a lawsuit over sidewalk counseling with a pro-life ministry last year. CatholicVote previously reported that Pro-Life Action Ministries were unconstitutionally barred from standing on public sidewalks around a Minneapolis Planned Parenthood location to offer support and counseling to women seeking abortions. Pro-Life Action Ministries sued in 2023, alleging that the buffer zone law violated its advocates’ rights to free speech, freedom of expressive association, and freedom of religious expression. Though the lawsuit was settled in favor of Pro-Life Action Ministries Dec. 18, the attorneys’ fees payment by the city was not determined until later. 
 
According to MPR News, the Minneapolis City Council signed an agreement for the thousands of dollars in attorneys fees March 13. Pro-Life Action Ministries was represented in court by the Thomas More Society. Peter Breen, Thomas More Society executive vice president and head of litigation, secured the payment from the city. In an emailed statement to CatholicVote, he called the payment a “total victory for free speech and the pro-life movement.  The City of Minneapolis’ capitulation and agreement to pay nearly a half-million dollars in fees and costs reflects the  strength of our case and demonstrates the importance of vigorously defending fundamental freedoms in court,” Breen stated. “Politicians seeking to hinder and silence the efforts of pro-life sidewalk counselors should think twice—or it will cost them.” (Lifenews) Read More Here

Trump Administration Releases More Than 2,000 JFK Assassination Files

‘People have been waiting for decades for this,’ the president said. ‘We have a tremendous amount of paper.’

The Trump administration released thousands of pages of records related to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy (JFK) on March 18, almost two months after ordering the attorney general and director of national intelligence to draft a plan for their disclosure.

More than 1,100 files, with multiple pages per file in many instances, were dropped on the National Archives website at approximately 7 p.m. ET, and more than 1,000 files were released at 10:30 p.m. ET. The Epoch Times is reviewing the files, which include scanned copies of previously classified documents.

President Donald Trump told reporters on Monday during a tour of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington that his administration would soon release roughly 80,000 pages of JFK assassination files.

“We are tomorrow announcing and giving all of the Kennedy files. People have been waiting for decades for this,” he said. “We have a tremendous amount of paper. You’ve got a lot of reading.”

It’s not clear how many of the files are among the millions of pages already publicly released, and Trump did not offer further details, other than suggesting they wouldn’t be redacted.

“I said, ‘Just don’t redact. You can’t redact,’” the president said.

- Abba, thank You that what is being called the "rest" of the JFK assassination files have been released.  Jesus, the truth is You are the only one who knows everything there is to know about what happened to JFK.  We ask for Holy Spirit to intervene in these circumstances, allow out only what is truth and not conjecture, only what has been proven and not what people assume based on what they know.  Father God, Protect the Kennedy family from further loss of privacy, allow what is being made available  to confirm what they believe is truth, bring peace and final closure to this family and to the US as a whole. So many questions have gone unanswered for so long, allow this to finally satisfy the "need for truth".  We ask this in the name Jehovah Shalom, The Lord Our Peace.

Patel says FBI has captured its 3rd most wanted fugitive since Trump took office: 'Let good cops be good cops'
'This administration is giving the new FBI and AG Bondi the resources to get the job done — and we won’t stop,' FBI Director Kash Patel said

The FBI has captured its third fugitive from the "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list since President Donald Trump took office on Jan. 20, according to agency director Kash Patel.

In a post on X on Tuesday night, Patel said the FBI's success in bringing down some of America's most wanted is "not an accident" and can be attributed to letting "good cops be good cops."

"When you let good cops be good cops, this is what happens. This administration is giving the new FBI and AG Bondi the resources to get the job done — and we won’t stop," Patel wrote.

He also praised the Department of Justice and Attorney General Pam Bondi for their work.

Patel did not provide any details on the newest arrest, but it comes hours after he announced the arrest of alleged MS-13 key senior leader Francisco Javier Roman-Bardales, who was taken into custody in Mexico on Monday and will be extradited to the US.

The FBI was offering a $250,000 reward for information on Bardales prior to his arrest for his involvement in allegedly directing MS-13 activity in the United States, Mexico, and El Salvador. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Abba, we give You high praise for the FBI arresting 3 of the US "most wanted fugitives" since President Trump took office.  Thank You that now 'good cops are allowed to be good cops!'  We ask for You to bring Your justice in each of these cases as well as all others that have been extradited back to our country, so that they can face the consequences of their actions.  Father God, we ask You to put each defendant before the Judge that You have chosen, let the truth be brought into the open and allow each to be convicted of his crime.  Let each of these cartel members face You in their dreams at night, tell them the truth about their own hearts, let them see themselves through Your eyes.  Jesus, You know each heart, please meet each heart exactly where it needs to be met, open their eyes to the truth about You and who You are in them, let them repent for the horrific things they have done, draw them into Your Kingdom.  Let Your freedom guide them as they serve out their sentences, even in prison let Your mercy be new every morning.  We ask this in the name Yahweh Tsidkenu, The Lord Our Righteousness.

Trump: Removing criminals is a presidential job, not for a local judge to decide

- Abba, the Judiciary in our nation has, in many instances, become overreaching in its decisions on which cases it has legal jurisdiction over and which not..  Judge Boasberg's order to stop the deportation of Venezuelan gang members does not align with President Trump's understanding that the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement is authorized and responsible for deportations, the DC Federal District Court is not.  Father God, we ask You to intercede in these circumstances, allow Your truth to prevail in this debate, send Holy Spirit and his angels to "be" the Spirit of Truth, pour truth into the hearts of all who will be involved in bringing this discussion to an end.  Allow Your justice to stand in the lives of these gang members, show Your son Donald, Your hand working for his good and the good of the nation.  Bring revelation to Your intercessors, show us how to pray to bring breakthrough needed for this to be Your victory.  We ask this in the name Jehovah Sabaoth, The Lord Of Hosts, the Lord over human and angelic armies.

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Israeli forces hit Hamas, Islamic Jihad targets in second day of Gaza offensive - JNS

The Israel Defense Forces carried out airstrikes on a Hamas site in the northern Gaza Strip overnight Tuesday after preparations for launching attacks on Israeli territory were identified, the military said on Wednesday.

Additionally, during the night, Navy forces targeted several vessels off the coast of Gaza that were being used for terrorist activities by Hamas and Islamic Jihad, according to the IDF.

A Hamas battalion headquarters in Daraj Tuffah was among the key sites struck. The military described it as a command center used to plan attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF forces. (Read more)

2. Netanyahu: ‘Hamas has already felt our strength’ - JNS

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday night that Hamas in the Gaza Strip has “already felt our strength” since the Israel Defense Forces returned to fighting, warning that future ceasefire negotiations with the terror group “will only take place under fire.”

“Going forward, Israel will act against Hamas with increasing intensity. And I want to assure you: This is just the beginning,” he vowed in a primetime address from the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv.

The prime minister noted that “for many weeks, we worked tirelessly to achieve one goal: to exhaust efforts to return our hostages. We extended the ceasefire [in Gaza] for weeks, despite not receiving any hostages.” (Read more)

3. IDF soldiers retake part of Gaza’s Netzarim Corridor - JNS

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed on Wednesday that its ground troops had taken back control from Hamas of parts of the Netzarim Corridor, which divides the northern Gaza Strip from its south.

“During the last 24 hours, IDF forces began a focused ground operation in the central and southern Gaza Strip with the aim of expanding the security zone and creating a partial barrier between the northern and southern parts of the Strip,” the IDF stated, confirming local reports.

As part of the renewed ground operation, soldiers “took control and extended their control back to the center of the Netzarim Corridor.”

The army has also called up soldiers of its elite Golani Brigade “to be on standby to operate in the Gaza Strip,” according to the IDF statement. (Read more)

4. From Soviet tanks to Nazi-era guns: IDF seized wealth of weapons in historic operation - YNET News

One evening in November, deputy commander of the IDF's Enemy Assets Confiscation Unit, Lt. Col. (res.) Idan Sharon-Kettler convened a periodic summary meeting with his Military Intelligence Directorate counterparts at the intelligence collection and technical spoils unit — known by its Hebrew acronym Amshat.

This meeting, held as the IDF was preparing to wrap up the ground operation and declare a ceasefire, was attended by reservist officers who could relax over a coffee and, with a sense of satisfaction, review the period they’d just finished up, removing thousands of weapons from southern Lebanon. This followed gathering tens of thousands of weapons from the Gaza Strip over the past year.

“Come on. Let’s open a booty collection point at the Quneitra crossing too,” suggested pony-tailed Lt. Col. Idan. This served as a reminder both that the unit hadn’t taken such steps in two battle arenas since the 1973 Yom Kippur War and as a prophetic joke.

5. Macron says France and Saudi Arabia to co-chair conference on two-state solution - Times of Israel

French President Emmanuel Macron says he spoke with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and that the two leaders condemn the resumption of Israeli strikes in Gaza.

Macron says they will co-chair a conference on a two-state solution, aimed at “helping revive a political perspective for both Israelis and Palestinians.”

Macron also says he welcome the crown prince’s Jeddah initiative, which enables the start of peace negotiations in Ukraine. (Read more

Venezuela will face “severe, and escalating sanctions” if it refuses to accept its citizens who have been deported from the United States, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Tuesday.
 
The tough warning comes as the Trump administration seeks to ramp up deportations of Venezuelans living illegally in the U.S. and to need a temporary residency program for hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans, which could pave the way for them to lose their legal status.
 
Many of those with protected status migrated to the U.S. amid Venezuela’s economic collapse under the authoritarian rule of President Nicolas Maduro. (Read more)

2. Federal Judge Rules on Trump Ban on Transgenders Serving in Military - DML News

 
A federal judge in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday blocked the Pentagon from implementing President Trump’s executive order that excludes transgender individuals from serving openly in the military, the latest legal setback for Trump as he tries to carry out one of his core policy priorities.
 
Judge Ana Reyes said Trump’s executive order was likely unconstitutional. The White House in January directed the military to adopt a policy that said transgender individuals are unable to meet the “high standards for troop readiness, lethality, cohesion, honesty, humility, uniformity, and integrity.”
 
Reyes, a Biden appointee, ruled the Trump administration’s new military guidelines likely violated constitutional rights to equal protection, overstepping the authority of the White House and the Defense Department to set military policy. She ruled that the barriers to transgender service members are based solely on demeaning and stigmatizing feelings against them, not a solid policy decision that could have legal support. We come against all bribes and lies that would try to buy a judge's decision, in Jesus' name. 3. Led by Virginia and South Carolina, 26 AGs file brief in support of Trump's deportation of gang members - Just The News

 
A coalition of state attorneys general is filing an amicus brief in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, urging the court to lift a nationwide restraining order that is “preventing” the “immediate deportation” of "Tren de Aragua gang members."
 
Leading the effort are Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares and South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, who joined 24 other states after a judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued an order Saturday evening temporarily halting the deportations of members of the Venezuelan gang. The order came as the aircraft carrying the gang members was airborne.
 
The deportations followed President Donald Trump's announcement that he was invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798. This prompted Chief Judge James Boasberg to immediately issue a temporary restraining order blocking the removal of “all noncitizens in U.S. custody who are subject” to the president’s order. 4.  Federal Reserve to make first interest rate decision amid trade war started by Trump's tariffs - Just The News

 
The Federal Reserve is going to announce its first interest rate decision since the ongoing trade war began, sparked by tariffs implemented by President Donald Trump. This gesture comes less than two weeks after Fed Chairman Jerome Powell stated that tariffs would likely increase prices, but Trump's economic policies are still getting in place.
 
"We are focused on parsing the signal from the noise as the situation evolves," Powell said,according to ABC News. "We are not in a hurry." The CME FedWatch Tool predicted that the rate would stay the same. If market pricing is correct the interest rate is in a 4.25%-4.5% range, according to CNBC News.
 
Trump earlier this month placed 25% tariffs on Canadian and Mexican goods, resulting in Canada imposing retaliatory tariffs.  (Read more)

5. Israel sends troops back into Gaza with 'focused ground invasion,' as ceasefire continues to crumble - Just The News

 
Israel announced Wednesday it has sent troops back into Gaza with a "focused ground operation," as its roughly 18-month ceasefire with Hamas further deteriorates.  “Over the past 24 hours, IDF forces have begun a focused ground operation in the center of the Gaza Strip and in the south with the aim of expanding the security area and creating a partial buffer between the north and south of the Strip," the IDF wrote in a post on X.
 
The operation follows Israel earlier this week launching airstrikes into Hamas-run Gaza, with a stall in hostage returns between the sides appearing to be the breaking point in their ceasefire.  
 
Roughly 400 people were killed in the attack,according to reports.  Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz put out a video Wednesday addressed to Gaza residents that reads: "Return the hostages and remove Hamas – the alternative is total devastation.” (Read more)

6. Trump announces details of phone call with Ukraine Pres. Zelenskyy - DML News
 
Continuing his efforts to negotiate a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, President Trump announced Wednesday morning that he had just wrapped up a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This comes one day after conducting a nearly two-hour phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
 
The peace efforts slightly derailed last month, after Zelenskyy came to the Oval Office to meet with Trump on February 28, but his rude confrontational with the president resulted in him being booted from the White House and driven away in disgrace.
 
Trump announced in a Truth Social post Wednesday morning:
Just completed a very good telephone call with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine. It lasted approximately one hour. Much of the discussion was based on the call made yesterday with President Putin in order to align both Russia and Ukraine in terms of their requests and needs.

Stupidocrisy: The Fear Mongering About Tariffs

In 1985, I was invited to speak at an international trade conference at Georgetown University with then US Special Trade Representative Clayton Yeutter. At the time, the United States was experiencing trade deficits and President Reagan was working to level the playing field. An example was how American farmers were being squeezed by Japan’s unfair trade practices. Japan expected the US to import their cheaper automobiles at will, but they placed extreme duties (tariffs) on American agricultural products. This way they could manipulate the trade balance through their mega trading companies. China does much the same, only they have taken it to a new level by manipulating currency value at America’s expense.

Everything was going smooth with speakers talking about the importance of free trade—how it ensures peace and provides jobs. Then it was my turn. I said free trade was fine, but fair trade is what we should be talking about. I suggested a very novel, at the time, schedule of tariffs for countries that place tariffs on US products. There was a collective gasp, and much angry talk, especially from the Japanese delegation sitting right in front of me. I used almost the exact language Trump did in his recent address to congress. He said, “whatever they tariff us, other countries, we will tariff them. That’s reciprocal back and forth. Whatever they tax us, we will tax them.” The response to Trump from those countries, the Marxist media, and the Democratic left was also a collective alarmist gasp, claiming tariffs will increase inflation, cost jobs, etc., etc. Read More

Illinois parents, lawmakers sound alarm over proposed homeschooling bill: 'Direct assault on families'
Parents would be required to fill out a 'homeschool declaration form'

Conservative lawmakers in Illinois are sounding the alarm about a bill that could drastically change homeschooling rules in the Prairie State.

The Homeschool Act, also known as HB2827, would mandate homeschooling parents to fill out a "homeschool declaration form" that would essentially register them in their nearest public school district.

The children of parents who don't fill out the form are considered "truant, with penalties applying," according to the bill's synopsis. It also requires documentation of immunizations and health examinations for children who wish to participate in public school activities.

"[If a] child in a homeschool program seeks to enroll part time in a public school or participate in any public school activities taking place on or off of school grounds, the homeschool administrator must submit proof that the child has received all required immunizations and health examinations or a signed Certificate of Religious Exemption," the text states.

The bill also "sets forth requirements for homeschool administrators and programs and reporting requirements."

"[The bill] makes conforming and other changes in the Freedom of Information Act, the School Code, and the Illinois School Student Records Act, including requiring (rather than allowing) nonpublic schools to register with the State Board of Education," the synopsis concludes.

The Illinois State Board of Education's Education Policy Committee is reviewing the bill on Wednesday – but opposing lawmakers have encouraged constituents to submit witness slips in an attempt to halt any further progress on the bill. Illinois state senator Neil Anderson said on Facebook that 30,000 witness slips have been submitted.

"After nearly 30,000 witness slips opposing this attack on our private and home schools, we need the public to resubmit their witness slips before tomorrow's House Education Policy Committee meeting at 8 AM," the Republican wrote. (Fox News) Read more.

- Abba, this new Homeschooling Bill in Illinois is not a bill of freedom but one of control.  We ask You to intervene in the House Education Policy Committee meeting to be held tomorrow, open their minds and hearts to the reality of what this bill does, allow them to hear the hearts of the parents who want nothing to do with IL public schools because of the content of the curriculum.  Give these parents' words power as they speak truth, let the voice of the enemy fall on deaf ears, let those words fall to the ground as dust.  Holy Spirit, give each board member wisdom, show them what this looks like through Your eyes, stop the enemy from continuing his attack against our children, stop this dead in it's tracks!  We ask this in the name El Shaddai, God Almighty, the God who has ultimate power over all things.

In ‘productive’ call, Putin agrees with Trump that Iran ‘should never be able to destroy Israel’

The leaders spoke broadly about the Middle East as a region of potential cooperation to prevent future conflicts.

During a 90-minute phone call between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the two leaders agreed that negotiations in the Middle East should begin immediately.

The main issue the two leaders discussed during the call was bringing the war between Ukraine and Russia to a close.

White House spokesman Dan Scavino said the call began at 10:00 a.m. EDT and ended at 12:52 p.m.

During the call, which Trump described on social media as “very good and productive,” the two leaders agreed that Russia would cease its attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure for the next 30 days. They also agreed on issues concerning conflict in the Middle East.

“The leaders spoke broadly about the Middle East as a region of potential cooperation to prevent future conflicts. They further discussed the need to stop proliferation of strategic weapons and will engage with others to ensure the broadest possible application. The two leaders shared the view that Iran should never be in a position to destroy Israel,” the White House said.

“They agreed that a future with an improved bilateral relationship between the United States and Russia has a huge upside. This includes enormous economic deals and geopolitical stability when peace has been achieved,” the White House continued. (World Israel News) Read more here.

Trump Appoints Military Academy Board Members, Including Michael Flynn, Charlie Kirk 
The administration aims to reform the U.S. military.

President Donald Trump on Monday named a group of his allies, including conservative media personalities, Republican lawmakers, and advisers from his first administration, to the boards of visitors at the nation’s military academies.

The boards are traditionally composed of a mix of presidential and congressional appointees. They oversee and guide the morale, finance, academics, and student life at each academy, which trains the officer corps of the corresponding military branch.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump announced the appointment of former national security adviser retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn to the United States Military Academy’s board of visitors, along with Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-Texas); Maureen Bannon, a West Point alumna and daughter of former White House strategist Steve Bannon.

The list also includes Medal of Honor recipient David Bellavia, retired Maj. Gen. Dan Walrath, and Meaghan Mobbs, a West Point graduate and conservative activist.

“They will make our Country proud,” Trump wrote. “Congratulations to all!”

Trump also named Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, retired Col. Doug Nikolai, and former deputy national security adviser Dina Powell to the Air Force Academy’s board of visitors. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Chief Justice Roberts Issues Rare Statement After Trump Calls for Judge’s Impeachment
Trump earlier called for the impeachment of a judge who blocked the president’s proclamation seeking to deport alleged members of a Venezuelan gang.

Chief Justice John Roberts issued a rare public statement on March 18, appearing to counter President Donald Trump’s call to impeach a federal judge who blocked deportations of members of a Venezuelan gang implemented under a presidential proclamation.

“For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision,” Roberts said in a statement provided to The Epoch Times. “The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose.”

The statement from Roberts followed Trump’s post on Truth Social stating that U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, who was nominated by President Barack Obama, should be impeached.

Trump said that the judge “was not elected President.”

“We don’t want vicious, violent, and demented criminals, many of them deranged murderers, in our country,” the president wrote, in capital letters.

Roberts’s statement underscored tension between the executive and judicial branches of the federal government as the administration fends off dozens of lawsuits in federal courts. In many of those cases, district court judges have responded with injunctions—sometimes nationwide in scope—provoking criticism from the administration. (The Epoch Times)

Four planets found orbiting a star 6 light-years from Earth
Astronomers have discovered four planets that are just a fraction of the mass of Earth orbiting Barnard’s Star, which is 6 light-years from Earth.

(CNN) — After decades of searching, astronomers have uncovered some of the strongest evidence yet of exoplanets orbiting Barnard’s Star, the nearest single star system to Earth. The four planets are classified as sub-Earths because each one is about 19% to 34% the mass of Earth, according to new research.

“It’s a really exciting find — Barnard’s Star is our cosmic neighbor, and yet we know so little about it,” said lead study author Ritvik Basant, doctoral student of astronomy and astrophysics at the University of Chicago, in a statement. “It’s signaling a breakthrough with the precision of these new instruments from previous generations.”

Barnard’s Star, discovered by American astronomer E.E. Barnard in 1916, is a low-mass red dwarf, one of the most common types of stars. Over the past decade, astronomers have found that many of these stars have multiple rocky planets orbiting them.

Enter MAROON-X, an instrument mounted on the Gemini North telescope in Hawaii that’s designed to search for exoplanets orbiting red dwarfs. The instrument seeks out planets by detecting the subtle wobble of stars as the gravity of orbiting planets tug on their stellar hosts, known as the radial velocity technique. Read More
