Trump’s Border Plan Is Working, and the Numbers Prove It
|
|
Immigration has been a contentious issue in the United States for years, and the conversation is now shifting in a dramatic way. With the return of President Donald Trump to the White House, the administration has prioritized securing the southern border and enforcing immigration laws that had been undermined in previous years. Vice President JD Vance recently emphasized this shift, stating, “We’ve cut illegal border crossings by well over 95%, and frankly, I think those numbers are going to continue to come down,” as reported by Fox News. His statement reflects the administration’s firm commitment to restoring order at the border.
Beyond just halting illegal crossings, the administration is also focused on deportations. “You have immigration detention facilities that were underfunded,” Vance explained. “You have ICE, which does most of the actual deportations, that was radically underfunded, really sort of in some ways destroyed by the Biden administration. We’re building that capacity up.” These efforts demonstrate a clear intent to not only stop new illegal entries but also to ensure those who are already in the country unlawfully face the legal consequences. The numbers already paint a compelling picture. According to The Christian Post, migrants attempting to reach the United States through the perilous Darién Gap have dropped by 99%. “Only 408 migrants crossed the Darién Gap from Colombia into Panama in February, the lowest since November 2020,” the report states. - Father, we celebrate the amazing progress that has been made by the Trump administration to protect our borders. We are grateful for the strength and boldness executed by those in authority to secure our nation through deterring illegal immigration. We ask for Your light to shine upon individuals who are currently in the U.S. with evil intentions. Give uncommon wisdom and insight to "border czar" Tom Homan and ICE as they seek and deporti dangerous illegals that were allowed to enter. We give all praise and glory to You, Father, for the quick resolve at our borders and for Your divine protection upon the citizens of the United States of America! In the powerful Name of Jesus Christ-Amen and Amen.

DOJ Files Emergency Motion After Judge Blocks Trump From Invoking Alien Enemies Act
|
|
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and other Justice Department officials say that a federal judge exceeded his authority with his decision.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi filed an emergency motion on behalf of the Trump administration to dissolve a federal judge’s order on March 15 that blocked President Donald Trump from invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.
In a motion filed on March 16, Bondi and her staff accused U.S. District Judge James Boasberg of implementing “an unprecedented, nationwide temporary restraining order” that halted deportations of illegal immigrants associated with the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua under the 18th-century law. The motion argued that Boasberg initiated a “massive, unauthorized imposition” on the executive branch’s authority.
“This Court should halt this unprecedented intrusion upon the Executive’s authority to remove dangerous aliens who pose grave threats to the American people,” reads the emergency petition, which was submitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
On March 15, Boasberg said he needed to issue his order immediately because the government was already deporting illegal immigrants it considers deportable under Trump’s proclamation to El Salvador and Honduras to be incarcerated. El Salvador already agreed this week to take up to 300 illegal immigrants that the Trump administration has designated as gang members.
“I do not believe I can wait any longer and am required to act,” Boasberg said during a March 15 hearing in a lawsuit brought by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Democracy Forward.
“A brief delay in their removal does not cause the government any harm,” he said, noting that the illegal immigrants remain in government custody. (The Epoch Times) Read more.

- Lord God, we pray that this block would be reversed in Jesus name. We pray that innovative ways would be thought of and created when dealing with illegal immigrants and refugees. While we are called to help the oppressed, we are not called to fund their welfare for the rest of their lives. So give our leaders wisdom on how to handle this situation responsibly in Jesus' name, Amen.

More Than 250 Tren de Aragua Gang Members Deported to El Salvador Prison: Rubio
|
|
The United States has designated the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang as a terrorist organization.
|
|
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on March 16 that the Trump administration had sent more than 250 Venezuelans accused of being members of the Tren de Aragua gang to a prison in El Salvador amid an active federal court ruling ordering the deportation flights to cease.
Rubio said El Salvador has agreed to hold the gang members “in their very good jails at a fair price that will also save ... taxpayer dollars,” in a statement posted on social media platform X.
Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele posted a video to X on March 16 showing agents leading men in handcuffs off a plane at night and into a prison. Prison officials are also shown shaving the prisoners’ heads.
"The United States will pay a very low fee for them, but a high one for us,” Bukele wrote.
He said the prisoners were immediately transferred to El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center.
On March 15, U.S. President Donald Trump signed a proclamation invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to hasten the deportation of accused members of the Tren de Aragua gang. The administration agreed to pay El Salvador $6 million to hold roughly 300 alleged members of the gang, as well as two alleged members of the MS-13 gang, in its prisons for a year. - Lord God, we praise and thank you for this success in creating security and safety for our country. We pray things like this continue to happen. We lift all ICE officials to you and all those working tirelessly to protect us at our borders that you would give them supernatural wisdom and strength to perform the tasks that need to be done. In Jesus' name, amen.
- “But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

7-Mile Border Wall Expansion Begins in Arizona
|
|
Arizona shares an approximately 370-mile border with Mexico.
|
|
Construction of an additional seven miles of the southern border wall in Arizona began on Sunday.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced the expansion of the unfinished wall in a video statement on X.
“Right at this spot, you can see where the border wall ends,” Noem said. “As of today, we’re starting seven new miles of construction. We’re going to continue to make America safe again.”
During his first term, Trump built more than 450 miles of new and replacement wall along the southern border.
After President Joe Biden took office in 2021, he called off construction of the wall, leaving billions of dollars worth of construction on the southern border wall unfinished. (The Epoch

3. Israeli hostage negotiators meet with top Egyptian officials - JNS
Israeli negotiators met in Egypt with senior Egyptian officials on Sunday to discuss the issue of the 59 hostages still held by Hamas terrorists in Gaza after 527 days.
“As instructed by [Israeli] Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the negotiating team is now meeting in Egypt with senior Egyptian officials to discuss the issue of the hostages,” the Prime Minister’s Office announced on Sunday evening.
The negotiating team returned from Doha, Qatar, on Friday following failed attempts to extend Phase 1 of the three-phase ceasefire agreement with the Palestinian terrorist organization in return for the release of additional hostages.
Jerusalem has backed a proposal by U.S. Mideast envoy Steve Witkoff that Hamas release 11 living captives and half of the bodies it is holding as part of a ceasefire that would last throughout Passover and Ramadan. Under the proposal, the remaining hostages could go free if a deal is reached to end the war at the end of the truce.

4. Opposition MKs say Gaza terror groups have 30,000 gunmen, war failing to achieve goals - Times of Israel
Former war cabinet observer Gadi Eisenkot led opposition members of the Knesset’s powerful Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Sunday in calling for an urgent meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, citing a failure to achieve the ongoing Gaza war’s objectives.
Eisenkot, a former IDF chief of staff and current MK with the opposition National Unity party, was joined by the committee’s other opposition lawmakers — Ram Ben Barak, Meir Cohen, Elazar Stern, Moshe Tur-Paz, Sharon Nir and Merav Michaeli — in sending a letter to the committee’s chairman, Likud MK Yuli Edelstein, about terror groups’ alarming resurgence in Gaza.

1. Thousands at Hostages Square for Purim gathering colored by hopes for captives’ salvation - Times of Israel
Thousands crowded into Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square on Thursday night for the Purim eve reading of the Book of Esther, which tells the story of the biblical heroine Queen Esther saving the Jewish people from extermination in what is now modern-day Iran, as they connected the plight of the Jews in the ancient city of Shushan to that of the hostages, held in the Gaza Strip by Iran-backed terrorists.
Nearby, hundreds of protesters gathered to support the families of the hostages on the sixth day of their encampment outside the IDF’s headquarters, where they are attempting to put pressure on those in charge to clinch a deal for the release of the remaining 59 hostages.
The Purim gathering at Hostages Square, which included Israelis from different communities, sectors and denominations, also called for parties to agree to a comprehensive deal to return the remaining hostages held in the Gaza Strip in one fell swoop, according to a statement from the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, the main non-government organization representing families of hostages. 2. Rubio: Hamas’s demands are ‘nuts,’ we’re dealing with ‘savages’ - JNS.org
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Friday slammed as “nuts” the terms being demanded by Hamas in hostage-ceasefire negotiations, while insisting the Trump administration was committed to freeing all of the 59 captives held by the Palestinian terrorist group in Gaza.
“We care about all the hostages, we want all the hostages released. … But we’re also talking about bodies. And these trades that are being made, they’re ridiculous trades—400 people for three. These are nuts,” Rubio said at a press conference during the G7 Foreign Ministers Meeting in Charlevoix, Quebec.
“On top of that, you see the condition these people are being released in. … We’re sitting around as the world, sort of accepting that it’s normal and okay for you to go into a place, kidnap babies, kidnap teenagers, kidnap people who have nothing to do with any wars, that are not soldiers … and taking them and putting them in tunnels for almost a year and a half,” he continued. 3. Netanyahu compares Purim story to fight against today’s ‘Persian axis’ - JNS.org
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu participated in the traditional reading of the Book of Esther during the holiday of Purim at the National Police Academy in Beit Shemesh, west of Jerusalem, on Thursday evening.
Addressing the police officers, the prime minister drew a comparison to the story of Purim, in which the Jewish people were saved from annihilation in Persia, now present-day Iran, to the modern Jewish state’s conflict with the Islamic Republic.
“Two thousand five hundred years later an enemy of the Jewish people arose in that land. He, too, wants to destroy and annihilate the seed of the Jews from the face of the earth,” Netanyahu said.
“Heroes like you have arisen—the heroes of our people. And with stratagem, heroism and courage we turned the tables upside down, and we are breaking the Persian axis,” he said, referring to Iran. (Read more)

5. Trump signs order to dismantle seven federal agencies focused on media, libraries, homelessness - The Hill
President Trump on Friday signed an executive order that aims to eliminate seven federal agencies, including ones that focus on media, libraries, museums and ending homelessness.
The president directed the government entities “be eliminated to the maximum extent consistent with applicable law,” insisting they “reduce the performance of their statutory functions and associated personnel.” It ordered the heads of each entity submit a report to the Office of Management and Budget confirming full compliance within seven days.
The president targeted the U.S. Agency for Global Media, which is the parent company of Voice of America’s (VOA), as well as the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in the Smithsonian Institution, which is a think tank, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services, which is an agency that supports libraries, archives and museums in every state. 6. White House vows to fight ruling that requires government reinstate fired probationary workers - The Hill
The White House on Friday vowed to appeal the federal court rulings that required the Trump administration to reinstate probationary government employees who judges said were fired unlawfully at several agencies. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters the injunction was “entirely unconstitutional” and said the administration would respond aggressively. “Fighting back by appealing. Fighting back by using the full weight of the White House’s counsels’ office,” Leavitt said.
Federal judges in both Maryland and Northern California district courts issued orders Thursday halting the mass dismissals. U.S. District Judge William Alsup’s ruling Thursday required the government to reinstate probationary employees fired Feb. 13-14 at the Veterans Affairs, Agriculture, Defense, Energy, Interior and Treasury departments.
A second ruling from U.S. District Judge James Bredar was even broader, temporarily reinstating probationary employees at 18 federal agencies. “In this case, the government conducted massive layoffs, but it gave no advance notice. It claims it wasn’t required to because, it says, it dismissed each one of these thousands of probationary employees for ‘performance’ or other individualized reasons,” wrote Bredar, an appointee of former President Obama. 7. Trump suggests federal government take over DC if local leaders ‘can’t do the job’ - The Hill
President Trump suggested Friday that the federal government could take over Washington, D.C., if the national capital’s administration “can’t do the job” as he pursues making the District “the talk of the world.”
“We’re cleaning up our city. We’re cleaning up this great capital, and we’re not going to have crime and we’re not going to stand for crime, and we’re going to take the graffiti down and we’re already taken to tents down there,” Trump said in a speech on “law and order” at the Department of Justice (DOJ).
“We’re working with the administration, and if the administration can’t do the job … we’re gonna have to take it back and run it through the federal government,” the president said of the District’s leadership.
“But we hope the administration is going to be able — so far, they’ve been doing very well. The mayor has been doing a good job.” (Read more)

The Lesson of the Golden Calf for Today
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, March 17, 2025
Patience. Faithfulness. Self-control. Are any of these words meaningful to you? Imagine coming from a pagan society where all you have known for generations is how to pay homage to many gods. You have been taught that the superstitions of good fortune, love, violence, protection, wealth were all dependent on the whims of various gods, who often were in conflict with one another. That’s what the Israelites were dealing with when Moses led them out of the bondage of Egypt. That’s all they had ever known. Strange though, the other day I heard a very popular preacher saying that if you gave her money, you would receive God’s blessings of good fortune, wealth, protection, and love. Sin of the golden calf repeated?
The central theme found in Exodus 30:11-34:35 is the sin of the Golden Calf. When Moses was on Mount Sinai receiving the commandments from the Lord, the people became impatient since he had been gone for 40 days and nights. They coerced Aaron to make a golden calf, something God has expressly forbidden in the 2nd commandment. The Lord quickly sent Moses back down the mountain to attend to the idolatry. In his anger, Moses smashed the commandments written by the hand of God. There was a plague on those who took part in the uprising, and 3,000 people died that day either from the plague, or by the hand of the zealous Levites. Read More

Massive Storm Leaves at Least 39 Dead as US Hit by Tornadoes, Wildfires, Blinding Dust
|
|
|
Tornadoes claimed at least a dozen lives in Missouri, decimating homes and businesses in hard-hit Wayne County.
Violent weather broke out across the central and southern United States this weekend, sending tornadoes and high winds that flattened homes and schools, with the monstrous storm killing at least 39 people as of March 16.
The storm, which led to icy winter weather in the northern part of the country and fatal dust storms in the central United States, also created severe thunderstorms on March 16, including on the West Coast. A weather forecaster gave it the unusual “high risk” designation.
Tornadoes claimed at least a dozen lives in Missouri, decimating homes and businesses in hard-hit Wayne County. While authorities were still searching through the staggering tornado damage, Coroner Jim Akers of Butler County, Missouri, described one “unrecognizable home” where a man was killed as “just a debris field.”
President Donald Trump posted to the social media platform Truth Social on March 16 that the White House is “actively monitoring the severe tornadoes and storms that have impacted many States across the South and Midwest.”
“The National Guard have been deployed to Arkansas, and my Administration is ready to assist State and Local Officials, as they help their communities to try and recover from the damage,” Trump said. “Please join Melania and me in praying for everyone impacted by these terrible storms!”

Following US attack, Houthis fire missile towards Israel that lands in Egypt
|

|
The White House announced that the US launched broad airstrikes on Houthi targets in Yemen, which a US official said could last days or weeks.
|
|
The IDF confirmed that it had detected a missile launch from Yemen in the direction of Israel, but itdid not hit Israeli territory. This followed reports from local media stating that the Houthis had fired a projectile that struck in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, near the Red Sea resort town of Sharm El-Sheikh.
The IDF clarified that it was not possible to determine the missile’s intended target.
The missile was fired from Yemen after the United States attacked targets in Yemen on Saturday night. A US official said the attacks could last “days or possibly weeks.”
The Houthi-run health ministry claimed the US attacks killed at least 23 people and wounded at least 20 more.
The White House announced that the US launched broad airstrikes on Houthi targets in Yemen on Saturday night.
“To all Houthi terrorists, your time is up, and your attacks must stop starting today. If they don’t, Hell will rain down upon you like nothing you have ever seen before,” US President Donald Trump said in a statement.
On March 12, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of the Houthis, threatened to resume attacks on “any Israeli vessel” in nearby maritime routes. His threat came in response to Israel’s refusal to allow aid into Gaza. (JNS and World Israel News) Read more here.

JD Vance Blasts CBS News After Finding They Targeted His Mother-In-Law to Push a Political Point
|
|
|
We have watched in recent years as the establishment media has shamelessly used political differences among the family members of President Donald Trump, real or imagined, against him to make a point. Now that Vice President J.D. Vance is in the national spotlight, those same tactics are being used on him.
CBS News published a story on Wednesday about how Lakshmi Chilukuri, the mother of Second Lady Usha Vance, has argued in favor of diversity, equity, and inclusion at the University of California San Diego, where she serves as provost of Sixth College.
The school features a letter from Chilukuri to incoming students emphasizing the “steadfast adherence to principles that drive equity, inclusion, and an embrace of diversity” at the institution.
Vance was contacted by CBS News to talk about the differences in opinion he holds with his mother-in-law. “I don’t like DEI, and I’m proud of what our administration has done on that front,” he told the outlet. But he didn’t stop there, making clear that CBS News was engaging in slimy tactics.
Did CBS News cross the line here?
“I love my mother-in-law. If she doesn’t share my views on DEI I suppose I’ll have to do what 99 percent of Americans do when confronted with a family member who doesn’t always agree with them: get over it,” Vance said. “I’ll choose instead to focus on her kindness and the fact that she’s an incredible mother and loving grandmother to the most important people in my life.”
Vance added that the story even exists in the first place “because CBS has decided that harassing my mother in law is a reasonable price in order to attack President Trump.” (The Western Journal) Read more here.

- Holy God, we thank You for the way that our Vice President has demonstrated how to live in unity among family members who do not agree with us on political issues. By following the mandates of Scripture, he is bringing peace into his home, instead of conflict. Bless VP JD Vance, O Lord, and may many take note of his ways. In Your name, amen and amen.

NORTHCOM Deploys Guided-Missile Destroyer For "Southern Border Mission" As Hemispheric Defense Takes Shape
|
|
|
"USS Gravely's deployment will contribute to the U.S. Northern Command southern border mission as part of the DOD's coordinated effort in response to the Presidential Executive Order. Gravely's sea-going capacity improves our ability to protect the United States' territorial integrity, sovereignty, and security," Gen. Gregory Guillot, Commander, USNORTHCOM, stated.
USNORTHCOM explained that Gravely's mission will be "restoring territorial integrity at the U.S. southern border and reinforces the nation's commitment to border security by enhancing maritime efforts and supporting interagency collaboration," adding, "The ship's deployment highlights the Department of Defense and Navy's dedication to national security priorities, contributing to a coordinated and robust response to combating maritime related terrorism, weapons proliferation, transnational crime, piracy, environmental destruction, and illegal seaborne immigration."

|
USS Gravely's advanced radar and electronic warfare systems allow the US military to track multiple drug cartels—now designated as foreign terrorist organizations—threats simultaneously, including aircraft, missiles, and surface vessels.
As we've been detailing, the US government has been conducting round after round of signals intelligence (SIGINT) operations near the US-Mexico border and over Mexico using spy planes and CIA drones...
What you see above is part of the preliminary work to disrupt, dismantle, and eliminate the command and control structures of drug cartels that kill 100,000 American lives per year.
Remember, the Chinese are heavily involved as well... (Zero Hedge) Read more here.

- Holy One, once again we take note that President Trump is a man of his word. If he says he will launch a new policy to protect the lives of our American citizens, he means it. Thank You, O Lord, for President Trump! May the USS Gravely be protected and carry out its mission with success. Amen and amen.

A Lack Of Moral Courage Has Toppled Numerous Civilizations; Americans Need To Stand For Truth
|
|
by Tony Perkins (Harbinger's Daily)
A question I often hear when I speak at churches and events is, “Tony, what keeps you up at night?” Because I’m in Washington, D.C., interacting with our nation’s leaders on major domestic and global issues, people assume there must be a looming crisis that weighs on me. My usual response is straightforward: only too much caffeine keeps me awake. But I understand what they’re really asking: When you consider the future of our country, what troubles you most?
My answer? The growing lack of moral courage to stand for what is true and right.
Mark Twain observed, “It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the world and moral courage so rare.” Indeed, physical courage is crucial for defending a nation against external threats, and we rightly honor those who display it. However, moral courage sustains a nation from within, ensuring it remains worthy of such defense.
Sadly, over the last few decades, as right became wrong and wrong became right, moral courage has become as rare as a hassle-free TSA line (but that’s another commentary). Instead of speaking out, many surrender to cancel culture, self-censoring or choosing cowardice over courage. Let’s be blunt: that’s exactly what it is — cowardice — and it has toppled civilizations throughout history. Read More
