American and Israeli security figures met on Wednesday to coordinate their efforts to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon and deter its "aggressive regional activities," according to a White House press statement.
At the meeting were, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, Israeli National Security Advisor Eyal Hulata and other representatives.
The two also reiterated the ongoing cooperation between the US and Israeli militaries, remaining committed to close coordination.

2. 181 Ethiopian immigrants land in Israel as aliyah from African nation restarts - Times of Israel
Just over 180 Ethiopian immigrants landed at Ben Gurion Airport on Wednesday afternoon, some after waiting decades to arrive in Israel and reunite with family members.
The flight kicked off the resumption of immigration from the civil war-torn nation after more than a year following a series of delays. A second flight on Thursday from Addis Ababa is slated to bring a further 160 new immigrants, with more flights expected throughout the summer and fall.
A government decision in late 2021 approved bringing 3,000 total new immigrants from Ethiopia to Israel. Jewish Agency officials say they are all slated to arrive by November. (Read more)

3. Police summon Joint Arab List MKs for questioning over terror incitement - Israel National News
Three lawmakers from the Joint Arab List were called in for questioning, after police received footage of the three making inflammatory anti-Israeli statements.
On Wednesday, the watchdog group Im Tirtzu accused MK Ayman Odeh of incitement to terrorism, and released footage of the Knesset Member condemning Israeli Arab soldiers in the IDF.
Today, police summoned Mk Ayman Odeh for questioning under warning, along with fellow Joint Arab List MKs Ofer Cassif and Ahmed Tibi. (Read more)

4. Sa’ar’s New Hope said holding talks with Likud over potential new government - Times of Israel
The coalition’s New Hope party is holding behind-the-scenes talks with the opposition Likud over options for a potential alternate government, Hebrew-language media reported on Wednesday.
According to the Ynet news site, Justice Minister Gideon Sa’ar, a former senior member of Likud who broke away to form New Hope, is in contact with an associate of opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu, Yaakov Atrakchi.
The report said that amid the talks, Likud has ordered a reduction in public attacks on Sa’ar. (Read more)

5. Gantz kicks off official visit to India to discuss deepening defense ties - JNS
(June 2, 2022 / JNS) Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz arrived in New Delhi, India on Thursday for a state visit. He was hosted by his counterpart, Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and met with an honor guard, according to a statement from his office.
The two ministers “presented a joint declaration marking 30 years of Israel-India relations and reiterated their commitment to deepening defense ties,” said the statement.
“India and Israel share similar and common challenges, including border security and fighting terrorism. By working together, we may increase our capabilities and ensure the security and economic interests of both countries,” Gantz told Singh.
India and Israel are marking 30 years of official diplomatic ties and defense cooperation. (Read more)

1. Plan for the Worst’: CEO Confidence Wanes as Corporate America Prepares for Recession – The Epoch Times
CEO confidence in the U.S. economy is waning as survey results and comments from top executives suggest a dim outlook.
The Conference Board’s second-quarter measurement of CEO sentiment revealed that 57 percent anticipate the economy to go through a “very short, mild recession.” This represented the fourth consecutive quarter of declining expectations.
According to the business research group’s regular survey, 61 percent of CEOs noted that general economic conditions were worse compared to six months ago, while 37 percent stated that conditions in their own industries were worse.
“CEO confidence weakened further in the second quarter, as executives contended with rising prices and supply chain challenges, which the war in Ukraine and renewed COVID restrictions in China exacerbated,” said Dana M. Peterson, chief economist of the Conference Board, in a statement. “Expectations for future conditions were also bleak, with 60 percent of executives anticipating the economy will worsen over the next six months—a marked rise from the 23 percent who held that view last quarter.” (Read more)

2. Biden Says He Won’t Be Able to Bring Down Gas or Food Prices in Near-Term – The Epoch Times
President Joe Biden said on Wednesday it was unlikely his administration would be able to bring down the cost of inflation, including gas and food prices, any time soon.
The national average gas price reached a new record on May 17 at $4.67 a gallon, which is 45 cents higher than the price one month prior, and $1.58 more than a year ago, according to American Automobile Association.
“The idea we’re going to be able to, you know, click a switch and bring down the cost of gasoline is not likely in the near-term, nor is it with regard to food,” Biden told reporters at the White House on June 1. He cited the war in Ukraine that has trapped the country’s wheat exports as an external cause for inflation.
“We can’t take immediate action that I’m aware of yet to figure out how we’re bringing down the prices of gasoline back to $3 a gallon,” said the president. He also flagged that Washington would impose a price cap on certain Russian crude sales as Europe moved toward cutting down purchases of Russian oil. (Read more)

3. Food, Fuel, & Inflation Crises All Stem From Globalist Policies – ZeroHedge
The global elites left Davos last week after grappling with solutions to the profound crises facing the world. They left as they arrived, unaware that the crises are entirely of their own making.
Take energy, where shortages have led to the highest gasoline prices in the U.S. and UK history and to fuel poverty affecting millions of people.
If not for the specter of climate change—for decades one of the globalists’ central preoccupations—the world’s energy situation would be radically different.
Canada’s tar sands wouldn’t have been demonized and the country would have built the Keystone XL Pipeline and other pipelines to transport ever greater quantities of energy across the continent and beyond.
Liquefied natural gas facilities on the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of Asia, the Americas, and Europe would have been built to ship and receive plentiful natural gas.
“Net Zero” policies wouldn’t be crippling the financing of new fossil fuel facilities. Carbon taxes wouldn’t be making energy ever more expensive.
In the same way that the United States quickly became the world’s largest oil and gas exporter once the Trump administration scaled back crippling climate-related regulation, Europe would have been awash in energy had bans on fracking and offshore fossil-fuel development been lifted to allow development of its immense oil and gas reserves. Instead of fuel poverty, Europe would be experiencing fuel plenty.
The globalists pushing climate change policies tell us there is no choice if the planet is to be saved from catastrophe many decades if not centuries from now.
What they don’t tell us is that their prophecies of doom are based on computer climate models, all of which have proven false to date. (Read more)

4. Air Force Members Ask Court to Forbid Punishment for Refusing COVID-19 Vaccines – The Epoch Times
A group of Air Force members who are refusing to get a COVID-19 vaccine has asked a federal court to block the military from punishing them, saying the vaccination order is unconstitutional.
Each plaintiff has sincere religious beliefs that prohibit them from receiving the vaccine, according to the recently filed complaint.
“Plaintiffs’ religious beliefs generally fall into the following categories: (1) opposition to abortion and the use of fetal cell lines in development of the vaccine; (2) belief that the mRNA technology utilized in some COVID-19 vaccines usurps God’s creation of the human genome; and (3) that the body is a temple, and taking the vaccine would defile that temple,” the complaint reads.
But their requests for religious accommodation from Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s vaccination order were all denied.
The group, which includes Bryan Spence, an F-16 instructor pilot; Alan Sosebee, a chief of training at the U.S. Air Force Academy; and Christopher Wu, a lawyer at Joint Base Andrews, wants the court to order the military not to punish or kick out members who aren’t complying with the order, even if their exemption requests were rejected.
“Like many servicemembers, I want to continue faithfully serving my country as I have proudly done for the past 10 years,” Danielle Runyan, a member of the Air Force Reserve, counsel for First Liberty Institute, and one of the plaintiffs, said in a statement. “As the Supreme Court has already recognized, ‘even in a pandemic, the Constitution cannot be put away and forgotten.'” (Read more) |

5. “Operation Lost Souls” – Texas Authorities Rescue 70 Children Who Were Victims of Sex Trafficking – The Gateway Pundit
Texas authorities rescued 70 missing children victimized by sex trafficking.The operation, dubbed “Operation Lost Souls” started in April and involved US Marshals, the FBI and other local Texas law enforcement agencies.
Authorities located the missing children ages 10 to 17 in El Paso, Midland, Ector and Tom Green.Law enforcement officials have successfully recovered dozens of missing children as part of a joint task force operation in West Texas.
The three-week operation, known as “Operation Lost Souls,” started in late April in the Texas counties of El Paso, Midland, Ector and Tom Green and recovered 70 children ranging in age from 10 to 17 who were victims of sex trafficking, physical and sexual abuse, according to a press release from the Department of Homeland Security.
“Operation Lost Souls exemplifies Homeland Security Investigations’ commitment to protecting the public from crimes of victimization. In this case, we are looking out for our children — our community’s most precious resource,” said HSI El Paso Deputy Special Agent in Charge Taekuk Cho. (Read more)

6. Gun Control Narrative Omits Cases Where Guns Save Lives – ZeroHedge
The left’s push for more gun control omit the many cases that go against their narrative, such as instances where guns were used to neutralize shooters, according to Erich Pratt, the senior vice president of Gun Owners of America (GOA), a gun rights advocacy organization that represents more than 2 million Americans.
“The left is all about pushing gun control. It’s absolutely disgusting what they’re doing. They’re pushing gun control, they’re fundraising off of this within hours of the shooting,” Pratt told NTD’s Capitol Report, referring to the May 24 shooting that killed 21 people at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
“And really, it’s despicable because it becomes clear they only care about certain deaths,” he said.
Politicians and activists pushing for gun control neglect to talk about cities that already have the policies they want to implement for the entire nation, he said.
“For example, more than 40 people have been shot and killed in Chicago this month. In the last 30 days, in Baltimore, there had been 20 people shot and killed. But the left is not talking about that. They’re not fundraising off of Chicago or Baltimore because they already have very strict gun control,” Pratt noted.
“Those cities don’t serve their cause—[they] have red-flag, gun confiscation orders, they have universal background registration checks, they have so-called assault weapons bans, they have everything that the left is trying to push on us, and yet they have murders out the wazoo in those two cities that they can’t control it.
“And what that tells us, obviously, is that gun control is not the answer,” he said. (Read more)

7. US Engaged In "Offensive" Cyber Ops Against Russia In Ukraine: NSA Director – ZeroHedge
The US military has issued a stunning but perhaps not entirely unexpected admission that it has been conducting offensive cyber operations in support of Ukraine. It marks the first ever such acknowledgement, and suggests - as many observers have long suspected - a deeper Pentagon and US intelligence role in Ukraine against the Russian military than previously thought.
National Security Agency (NSA) and US Cyber Command Director Gen. Paul Nakasone told the UK's Sky News on Wednesday, "We’ve conducted a series of operations across the full spectrum: offensive, defensive, [and] information operations." This includes "offensive hacking operations" he said.
Without offering specific details, he continued, "My job is to provide a series of options to the secretary of Defense and the president, and so that’s what I do." Importantly, Gen. Nakasone gave the interview from allied Baltic country Estonia, from which other supporting operations including weapons transfers for Ukraine have come.
He spoke of major attempts of the Russians to launch infrastructurally devastating cyberattacks on Ukraine, saying, "And we've seen this with regards to the attack on their satellite systems, wiper attacks that have been ongoing, disruptive attacks against their government processes." (Read more)

8. Tulsa hospital shooting victims identified, one was gunman's surgeon, police say - Fox News
Tulsa police have identified a recent patient as the gunman accused of a mass shooting at an Oklahoma hospital Wednesday. Two of the four victims were doctors at the hospital, including one who recently performed back surgery on the attacker, police said during a Thursday news briefing. The gunman killed four and then himself on the second floor of the Natalie Medical Building at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, city police said Wednesday.
The gunman, identified as Michael Louis, underwent surgery with Dr. Preston Phillips on May 19, police said. In the following days and weeks, up to the morning of the shooting, he complained of pain and sought additional treatment.
Investigators later found a note on the scene that authorities said "made it clear" that the gunman intended to "kill Dr. Phillips and anyone who got in his way."
Police arrived on scene three minutes after the initial 911 call, placed by a patient who was in the middle of a remote meeting with a doctor who was inside the facility at the time, Franklin said. As they were announcing themselves and approaching the second story, where the active shooting was underway, responding officers heard a gunshot that they believe Louis inflicted on himself. 9. Ex-UN nuclear inspector claims Iran already has enough enriched uranium for weapon - Times of Israel
A former UN nuclear inspector said that while he believes Iran’s nuclear breakout time is now zero and Tehran has enough highly enriched uranium to build a weapon, it is not clear how long it would take the Islamic Republic to assemble a bomb.
David Albright, who worked as an inspector for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the 1990s, made the comments in an interview published Wednesday with London-based Iran International, an Iranian opposition news outlet.
“Iran has reached this critical period where its breakout time is zero. And what that means is that now it has enough highly enriched uranium to fashion a nuclear weapon,” said Albright, the president of the Institute for Science and International Security, a private organization based in Washington that tracks the spread of nuclear weapons.
Both American and Israeli officials have assessed that Iran now needs only a few weeks to amass enough fissile material for a bomb, should it choose to make one, though it will need additional time to assemble the device’s other components. Albright clarified that although he believes Iran’s breakout time is zero, it remains unclear how long it would take the Islamic Republic to build a nuclear weapon. “It may not be as long as some have argued. We don’t know how quickly Iran could make nuclear weapons today,” he said.

Stupidocrisy: Inflation, What Inflation?

Within hours of taking office, Joe Biden issued Executive Orders, such as cancelling the Keystone pipeline and ending oil exploration and leases on federal lands. These actions, and his Administration’s inept handling of COVID through lockdowns, supply chain disruptions and mandates set in motion a negative economic force unparalleled in the last 40 years. Yet the Biden Administration refuses to take responsibility for these devastating economic policies, and instead offers a traditional Democratic Party plan. In Biden’s own words, “You want to bring down inflation? Let’s make sure the wealthiest corporations pay their fair share.” Now, his minions are on an inflation apology tour, but still offer no solutions.
That Executive Order that turned the United States from an energy independent nation into an energy dependent country lit the very fuse for the inflation explosion. The cost of energy drives all production. According to the US Department of Agriculture, a family of four on a thrifty food plan paid $917 for groceries in May, up about 65% from a year ago. Gasoline prices have jumped over 53% from $2.46 a gallon when Biden first took office to $4.62 a gallon on Monday. The American Automobile Association asks on its website “Is this the calm before the storm?” The answer is a loud “Yes.” Biden believes higher prices are necessary for Americans to transition to green energy and his Council of Economic Advisors Chair Cecilia Rouse says inflation “has been the consequence of mounting an effective response to the pandemic.” Huh? As the New York Times reports, “Newly disclosed documents have shed a crack of light on secret executive branch plans for apocalyptic scenarios —like the aftermath of a nuclear attack—when the president may activate wartime powers for national security emergencies.”
The problem, of course, is that we have become a nation in a permanent state of emergency.
Power-hungry and lawless, the government has weaponized one national crisis after another in order to expand its powers and justify all manner of government tyranny in the so-called name of national security.
The seeds of this present madness were sown almost two decades ago when George W. Bush stealthily issued two presidential directives that granted the president the power to unilaterally declare a national emergency, which is loosely defined as “any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions.”
Comprising the country’s Continuity of Government (COG) plan, these directives (National Security Presidential Directive 51 and Homeland Security Presidential Directive 20) provide a skeletal outline of the actions the president will take in the event of a “national emergency.”

New, extremely reactive chemical discovered in the atmosphere
|

Millions of tons of a class of extremely reactive chemicals called hydrotrioxides can linger in the atmosphere for several hours, a new study suggests — which could have implications for human health and the global climate.
The chemicals interact with other compounds extremely quickly, and their presence means that chemists will have to rethink just how processes in the atmosphere occur.
It's long been thought that hydrotrioxides — chemical compounds that contain a hydrogen atom and three oxygen atoms — were too unstable to last long under atmospheric conditions.
But the new research shows instead that hydrotrioxides are a regular product of many common chemical reactions, and that they can stay stable enough to react with other compounds in the atmosphere.
"We showed that the lifetime of one of them was at least 20 minutes," Henrik Grum Kjærgaard, a chemist at the University of Copenhagen, told Live Science. "So that's long enough for them to do stuff in the atmosphere." Read More

16 Percent of American Churches Are Multiethnic, Poll Shows:
'It's a Foretaste of God's Eternal Church'

A new survey indicates the number of multiethnic congregations in the United States may be increasing, even if predominantly single-ethnic congregations remain in the majority. The poll by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University shows that mixed-race congregations comprise 16 percent of Christian churches in the United States, while 67 percent are predominantly white, 10 percent mostly black, and 4 percent largely Hispanic. Still, the 16 percent is slightly larger than the 12 percent that was found in a Baylor University study in 2018.
Meanwhile, a 2020 study published in the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion showed the percentage of multiracial congregations stood at 16 percent in 2019. That was significantly more than the 6 percent in a separate 1998 survey. One of those multiracial churches is Transformation Church in Lancaster County, S.C. “We have a fundamental belief that the work of Jesus Christ not only forgives people of sins but creates a family of different color skins,” Derwin Gray, pastor of Transformational Church, told The Washington Post. “This is the family promised to Abraham.”
Gray is the author of the new book, Building a Multiethnic Church: A Gospel Vision of Love, Grace, and Reconciliation in a Divided World. “We must have a vision for our ministries that runs deeper than sociological paradigms and mere inclusivity for the sake of decorating our stages and ministry teams,” Gray wrote in a column for ChurchSource.com. “Rather, God compels us through the completed and climatic work of Jesus to pursue a multiethnic life and ministry.” A multiethnic church, he said, is a “foretaste of God’s eternal church in the new heaven and the new earth here on earth.” (Christian Headlines) Read more here.
