Biden Admin Takes Major Step To Roll Back Trump’s Jerusalem Embassy Move
|
|
The Biden administration elevated diplomatic relations with the Palestinian government, in what diplomats warn is the first step to walking back the United States’ historic recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
The State Department confirmed to the Washington Free Beacon that a new Office of Palestinian Affairs will be established in Jerusalem and act independently of the U.S. ambassador to Israel’s office there. The formation of a separate diplomatic office bolsters U.S. relations with the Palestinian government and could violate the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995, which mandated that a single U.S. embassy be established in the holy city.
The State Department also confirmed that it is working to go even further—opening an official Palestinian consulate in Jerusalem wholly independent of the U.S. embassy in Israel. Attempts to establish this diplomatic facility have been stymied by Israel’s opposition to the move, and the recent formation of the Palestinian Affairs office is viewed as a temporary workaround. That would set the stage for Jerusalem to once again be viewed by the United States as divided between Israeli and Palestinian territories. (Read more)

1. Bennett: Government's fate will be clear within 2 weeks - Israel National News
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett spoke at the '40 signatures' debate in the Knesset initiated by the opposition Monday and said that the government's fate would be determined in the next two weeks.
Bennett said "I will leave things as they are, we are fighting for the government, this is the truth. The government is excellent but relies on a not-so-simple coalition. The government is good, it is not perfect - it would have been better for everyone to be in it: the haredim and the Likud as well but they chose not to join."
The prime minister attacked the opposition: "You are inciting all day instead of fighting the enemy. You should direct this energy towards the enemy - and not towards me." (Read more)

2. Orbach Won’t Vote with Coalition Partners Until Judea & Samaria Law Passes - Jewish Press
Yamina MK Nir Orbach announced Monday that he has decided not to vote together with his coalition colleagues until the Judea & Samaria Law is passed.
“I told the prime minister this morning that given the current situation, I am not part of the coalition,” Orbach said, in a statement from his office. “After a week of meetings with the prime minister and others, I’ve come to the conclusion that the coalition cannot continue to operate the way it is now.”
Orbach has been mulling this move for months. The MK announced in April that he would join the opposition if three demands were not met: (1) abolition of Finance Minister Avigdor Liberman’s plan to eliminate daycare subsidies for the children of rabbinic students (in kolel); convening the Supreme Planning Commission — which had not met for months — to approve construction in Judea and Samaria; and to connect young settlements to the Israeli electricity grid. Illegal Bedouin villages in the Negev have already been hooked up to the grid. (Read more)

3. Enough With the Bias’: 22 Countries Sign Declaration Against UN Probe Into Israel - Algemeiner
A group of 22 countries, led by the US, have signed a declaration criticizing an open-ended probe established by the UN Human Rights Council into alleged human rights abuses committed by Israel.
“We believe the nature of the COI [Commission of Inquiry] established last May is further demonstration of long-standing, disproportionate attention given to Israel in the Council and must stop,” US Ambassador Michèle Taylor stated at the 50th session of the HRC in Geneva, where the first report of the commission was presented on Monday. “We continue to believe that this long-standing disproportionate scrutiny should end, and that the Council should address all human rights concerns, regardless of country, in an even-handed manner.”
“Regrettably, we are concerned that the Commission of Inquiry will further contribute to the polarization of a situation about which so many of us are concerned,” Taylor cautioned. (Read more)

4. Lebanon residents should not wait for war to start to evacuate, IDF chief warns - World Israel News
The head of Israel’s military on Sunday said that the people of Lebanon should not wait until the next war erupts to flee, but should evacuate “the moment tensions begin.”
Speaking at the First Israeli Summit on the Home Front Command, Israel Defense Forces Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi said that should war break out, Lebanese civilians would be given explicit warning to evacuate, but warned Israel would strike with “immense power.”“I say from here, to the citizens of Lebanon … not only do I recommend you leave from when the war begins, I recommend you leave … before the first shot is fired, because the power of our attacks will be something you have never seen,” said Kochavi. 5. Report: ‘Israeli tourists whisked to airport in Istanbul in bullet-proof vehicle’ - JNS
(June 13, 2022 / JNS) A group of Israeli tourists was whisked to safety in Istanbul, Turkey, by Israeli security, narrowly avoiding the clutches of an Iranian hit or kidnap squad, Channel 13 reported on Monday. According to the report, the tourists received a telephone warning from an Israeli security official telling them to stay at the market they were in and not to return to their hotel, where an Iranian cell was waiting for their return.
The report said a bullet-proof vehicle took the tourists to the airport, directly onto a flight back to Israel, with their luggage remaining behind in the hotel due to the urgency of the situation.
“They landed in Israel and took part in an intensive questioning process, in which they were asked where they visited and who they spoke to,” a friend of one of the tourists told Channel 13. (Read more)

1. Largest US Pork Packer Closing California Plant, Citing High Costs and Red Tape theepochtimes.com
Smithfields Inc., the largest pork packer in the United States, is leaving California due to high operational costs and red tape.
“Smithfield Foods, Inc. today announced that it will cease all harvest and processing operations in Vernon, California in early 2023 and, at the same time, align its hog production system by reducing its sow herd in its Western region,” the company said on Friday in a statement.
Smithfield also plans to reduce its sow herd in Utah and exit its farms in Arizona and California.
Instead, the company will serve California customers with its Farmer John brand and other brands and products from current facilities in the Midwest.
“Smithfield is taking these steps due to the escalating cost of doing business in California,” the company explained.
The company, owned by Hong Kong-listed WH Group Ltd., said that workers at the plant will be offered financial and transition assistance, including the option to relocate to other Smithfield facilities.

2..U.S. drops COVID testing for incoming international air travelers | Reuters
The United States late Friday rescinded a 17-month-old requirement that people arriving in the country by air test negative for COVID-19, a move that follows intense lobbying by airlines and the travel industry.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Rochelle Walensky issued a four-page order lifting the mandate, effective at 12:01 a.m. ET (0400 GMT) Sunday, saying it is "not currently necessary."
- Lord, we thank You for this first step of relief from restrictions. We ask that You grant more and more removals of them as quickly as possible.

3. Biden piling up bad economic records ahead of the midterm elections | Washington Examiner
President Joe Biden’s administration keeps setting undesirable records as consumer prices soar at 41-year-high rates and the national average cost of gas edges closer to $5 a gallon.
But as Biden and his aides spin the economic data, he risks being perceived as insensitive before the 2022 midterm elections, in contrast to his empathizer-in-chief political persona.
The politics complicating the economics are “terrible,” according to the Bipartisan Policy Center's Senior Vice President Bill Hoagland. The Biden administration’s emphasis, for example, on core inflation, which does include food and energy prices in its calculation, continued to increase by 6% compared to the last year ending in May, he said.
“They're in a tough position to use the core because the average person, the average consumer out there, doesn't think in terms of core,” Hoagland told the Washington Examiner. “Those are basics for them.”
- Lord, all of us, even those who oppose us, are aware of the prices going up that are crushing Your people. We humbly ask for relief from Your Hand, and a mighty move of repentance across the nation.
- “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:4)

4. Biden Reboots Obama-Era Green Energy Loan Program That Funded Solyndra And Cost Taxpayers Billions | The Daily Caller
The Biden administration has rebooted the Energy Department’s green loan program that lent hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars in the Obama-era to the now-defunct green energy company, Solyndra, according to an announcement.
The Advanced Clean Energy Storage project in Utah will receive the loan, leaving $2.5 billion for other clean energy projects, the Department of Energy (DOE) stated Wednesday.
The Loan Programs Office last was active in the Obama administration and granted the solar-call firm Solyndra $500 million, which then went bankrupt in 2011, Politico reported. After breaking ground on the energy company, Solyndra then went bankrupt and could not continue operating, with the burden falling on the taxpayers.
The $504.4 million loan will be used to construct the world’s largest clean hydrogen storage facility, the DOE said in its announcement.
- Lord, You know that this administration is attempting to force green energy on us all at once, and it cannot work the way they think it does. Your people are suffering under them. From our knees, we cry out to You as our Savior, our God, and from our despair we pray for Your help.
- “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.” (Psalm 34:17)

5. Teachers Union Boss Raked In Massive Six-Figure Salary While Fighting To Close Schools | The Daily Caller
American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten was paid nearly half a million dollars during the 2021-2022 school year, a report from Americans for Fair Treatment stated Wednesday. Weingarten raked in six-figures while simultaneously pushing for schools to stay shutdown during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With teacher’s union dues, Weingarten is paid $449,562, the Americans for Fair Treatment report stated. Weingarten’s salary is about seven times more than the average high school teacher makes as of 2021, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor.
To continue to keep children out of school, Weingarten and her organization, along with the National Education Association, helped draft the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s school reopening guidance, Fox reported. When the CDC announced in-person instruction was safe in January of 2021, the AFT called the reopening “reckless and unsafe” for educators and children.
- Lord, we ask that you either help this woman find You and change her heart, or remove her from her position.

6. Bank of America Warns of Future Inflation Shocks, Declares ‘Technical Recession’ (theepochtimes.com)
Bank of America issued a warning that the inflation shock in the United States isn’t over yet and that the economy is in “technical recession,” even if most people are unaware of it.
“We’re in technical recession but just don’t realize it,” Michael Hartnett, the bank’s chief investment strategist, wrote in a note ahead of the June 10 inflation data.
U.S. annual inflation rose to 8.6 percent in May, the highest level in 40 years, as key drivers such as food, energy, and housing showed no signs of abating. The markets now anticipate a more aggressive response from the Federal Reserve, which may result in a larger economic downturn.
In short, Hartnett said, “inflation shock” isn’t over, “rates shock” is just beginning, and the “growth shock” is on the way. He also said there’s “no release valve from peak in yields” and that the bear market rally is “too consensus.”
- Lord, as inflation ravages our finances, and sin rampages through our land, we call for Your Spirit to bring a move of repentance and hope. Restore to us the joy of our salvation.
- “Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.” (Psalm 51:12)

7. Judge sides with Home Depot after company prevented employees from wearing Black Lives Matter imagery | Fox Business
A judge ruled Friday that a complaint accusing Home Depot of interfering with workers' rights by not allowing them to wear Black Lives Matter messaging should be tossed out.
The US National Labor Relations Board’s general counsel had claimed the company was violating federal law by preventing staff from wearing "Black Lives Matter" imagery on their aprons which administrative law judge Paul Bogas disagreed with, according to Bloomberg.
Bogas wrote that the Black Lives Matter labels did not possess "an objective, and sufficiently direct, relationship to terms and conditions of employment."
Bogas added that the Black Lives Matter message "originated, and is primarily used, to address the unjustified killings of Black individuals by law enforcement and vigilantes."
- Lord, we thank You for this ruling. We pray that Your Spirit will move across all people who espouse the BLM narrative and bring light and truth. We ask Your protection over the Home Depot as they try to preserve their workplace from political narratives.
- “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

8. Idaho police arrest dozens on suspicion of conspiracy to riot at gay pride event | Fox News
Dozens of masked men, suspected of being tied to a White nationalist group, were arrested near an Idaho pride event on Saturday after they were found packed in the back of a U-Haul truck.
Couer d'Alene police confirmed in a press briefing that 31 individuals from a variety of states were inside the U-Haul after it was stopped by local and Idaho State Police several blocks from the pride event on Saturday afternoon.
The several dozen men inside the truck wore khakis, navy blue shirts and beige hats with white balaclavas covering their faces and police say that some of them wore patches that identified with Patriot Front, a White supremacist group, according to some civil rights organizations.
- Lord, we thank You that a riot was prevented, but we also ask that this agenda to “trans” Your creation be destroyed forever. We bind the demonic powers that continually shriek their lies to our children and pray for Your power to be revealed against them.
- “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

9. Taxpayers To Foot Bill for Terrorist’s Sex Change - freebeacon.com
A transgender inmate who goes by the name Cristina Iglesias has not spent a day outside of federal prison as an adult. Iglesias was locked up in 1994 for sending death threats to federal judges and then pleaded guilty in 2005 to mailing fake anthrax to U.S. allies in the earliest days of the War on Terror. Now, thanks to a judge's ruling, Iglesias is set to become the first transgender inmate to undergo sex-reassignment surgery—on the taxpayer dime.
Iglesias in 2020 became the poster child of the American Civil Liberties Union‘s quest to ensure even the most hardened criminals enjoy transgender rights, and the civil rights group that once focused its energies on free speech sued the government, arguing that denying the costly surgery is a violation of Iglesias's constitutional rights. U.S. District Judge Nancy J. Rosenstengel agreed, writing in an opinion issued last month that "Iglesias suffers daily and is at risk of self-mutilation and suicide."
Iglesias, 47, is set for release on Christmas Day, but wants the surgery before that time—and Rosentengel is ordering the Bureau of Prisons to find a surgeon to carry out the sex change. Cost estimates for the surgery itself vary widely. Some hospital estimates reach six figures, while the Philadelphia Center for Transgender Surgery pegs the figure at about $25,000. Pricey quality-of-life care is required for years after the surgery, running about $40,000 annually in the first five years, according to a 2015 study from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The cost falls to $10,000 per year after a decade. The Bureau of Prisons declined to say whether taxpayers will provide that support.
- Lord, let this requirement be repealed and stopped in its tracks. We pray that taxpayer money not be used for such surgeries. We pray that you will touch this man’s heart to show him the error of his ways.
- “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

10. Biden says U.S. will pay the bill for New Mexico wildfire recovery - Reuters
The U.S. government will fund New Mexico's full wildfire response, President Joe Biden said on Saturday, speaking from Santa Fe amid anger from survivors over the blaze that was started by federal officials.
"We have a responsibility to help the state recover," Biden told elected officials and emergency responders at an afternoon briefing in New Mexico's capital, where he was reviewing efforts to fight the Southwestern state's biggest blaze in recorded history.
"Today I'm announcing the federal government's covering 100% of the cost," the president said, though earlier in the day he had said he would need congressional approval for some funding.
"We will be here for you in response and recovery as long as it takes," he said, adding that he saw an "astounding" amount of the perimeter of the territory that had burned while flying to Santa Fe. (Read more)

- Lord, it is only fitting that the government pay for something they caused. But it is likely that Biden is promising something that must be sent through Congress for approval first.

11. China Alarms US With Private Warnings to Avoid Taiwan Strait (msn.com)
Chinese military officials in recent months have repeatedly asserted that the Taiwan Strait isn’t international waters during meetings with US counterparts, according to a person familiar with the situation, generating concern within the Biden administration.
The statement disputing the US view of international law has been delivered to the American government by Chinese officials on multiple occasions and at multiple levels, the person said. The US and key allies say much of the strait constitutes international waters, and they routinely send naval vessels through the waterway as part of freedom of navigation exercises.
China has long asserted that the Taiwan Strait is part of its exclusive economic zone, and takes the view there are limits to the activities of foreign military vessels in those waters. While China regularly protests US military moves in the Taiwan Strait, the legal status of the waters previously wasn’t a regular talking point in meetings with American officials.
It’s not clear whether the recent assertions indicate that China will take more steps to confront naval vessels that enter transit the Taiwan Strait. The US also conducts freedom of navigation operations in the South China Sea to challenge Chinese territorial claims around disputed land features.
- Lord, we pray for Your protection over our navy as they do routine transits in this area. We bind up the plans of China and declare them null and void.
- “No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:17)

The Great Reset Part 5 Putting Two And Two Together
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, June 13, 2022
The World Economic Forum (WEF) and its leader Klaus Schwab have made no secret that their goal is corporate-government-civic partnerships that enable joint action and achieving collective progress toward a global economy based on a Great Reset of “Stakeholder Capitalism.” The Great Reset was implemented during the COVID pandemic. It is a done deal. COVID was the real time drill. While many hold that COVID was a planned pandemic, it is fact that the WEF, United Nations and World Health Organization enacted a planned COVID response that accelerated the goals of the WEF. But what does it really mean? Let’s put two and two together from what we know.
Many commentators opposing the Great Reset have analyzed what will likely happen to people, economies, businesses and freedoms if the WEF is allowed to continue its current trajectory. Chief Academic Officer for American Scholars Michael Rectenwald is representative of such. He writes: “In terms of the social order, the Great Reset promises inclusion in a shared destiny. But the subordination of so-called “netizens” implies economic and political disenfranchisement, a hyper-vigilance over self and others, and social isolation…This organized loneliness is already manifest in lockdowns, masking, social distancing, and the social exclusion of the unvaccinated. The title of the Ad Council’s March 2020 public service announcement—“Alone Together”—perfectly captures this sense of organized loneliness.” Read More

Ohio Gov. Signs Bill Allowing Teachers To Carry Guns In Schools With 24 Hours Of Training
|
|
|
Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine confirmed Monday that he signed a bill allowing teachers and school staff to carry guns in school with reduced training.
The bill, HB99, reduces the number of hours of training the staff members have to get to carry a firearm within the school. Under the new law, teachers and other staff must possess at least 24 hours of training, compared to the previous over 700 hours of training, according to local outlet NBC4.
The 24 hours includes 18 hours of general training, two hours of handgun training, two hours of “additional” general training and two hours of “additional” handgun training, according to the outlet.
“Our goal is to continue to help our public and private schools get the tools they need to protect our children,” DeWine said, the outlet reported. “We have an obligation to do everything we can every single day to try and protect our kids.” (Daily Caller)

- Father God, we rejoice at the news of this action by Ohio's Governor Mike DeWine. We ask that all training of every teacher be pursued with great care, and that no teacher be allowed to carry a gun into a classroom without this proper training. We also come against any scheme that would seek to undermine this effort, by "staging" a shooting incident in Ohio by one who seems to have had this training but who, in reality, has avoided it. In Your Name, amen and amen.

Virginia: GOP Governor Glenn Youngkin Hosts ‘Pride Month’ Reception at State Capitol

|
Virginia Gov. Youngkin Hosts Series of Pride Events to Mixed Sentiment
|
|
When Republican Glenn Youngkin was running to be Virginia's governor, he defended a teacher suspended over an objection to using students' preferred pronouns. He opposed transgender children playing on sports teams aligned with their gender identity, and he indicated a personal objection to same-sex marriage.
Given those positions, it generated some bipartisan surprise in Richmond this week when he hosted a reception celebrating Pride month at the Virginia Capitol.
The event astonished and angered many LGBTQ advocates, who called the festivities hypocritical and chose not to attend. But Youngkin's supporters held up the event as an example of the conservative governor living up to a central campaign promise to serve as a unifier who cares for all his constituents.
“I think this demonstration of outreach, of genuine communication is reflective of why he was elected," said Michael Berlucchi, a city councilman from Virginia Beach, Republican and member of the state's LGBTQ+ Advisory Board who attended the reception. (NBC Washington) Read more here.
|
|
- Father God, for those of us in the State of Virginia who voted for Governor Youngkin, we are shocked to see this news. We come against this agenda, that violates biblical principles, and we ask You to forgive Governor Youngkin for his apparent confusion on this critical issue. We continue to pray for the deliverance of all who have been caught up in the lie of the LGBTQ+ lifestyle, and we pray for our Governor, that He might walk the narrow path You require as we live in obedience to Your statutes. In Your Name, amen and amen.

Pro-Lifers Gather as Supreme Court is Set to Give Opinions Today and Wednesday: Future of Roe V. Wade Hangs in the Balance

The Supreme Court is set to give opinions today and Wednesday as the future of Roe v. Wade hangs in the balance.
|
|
A large media presence is amassing outside the United States Supreme Court awaiting the release of opinions as the fate of Roe v. Wade hangs in the balance with the outcome of Dobbs v. Jackson.
LifeSiteNews is on the ground outside the U.S. Supreme Court as the nine justices are set to deliver opinions this morning, while the number of pro-abortion protestors begins to grow and tensions rise with police separating the pro-lifers from the abortion protestors.
Prominent pro-life activist Rev. Patrick Mahoney earlier told LifeSite that the scarcity of pro-abortion protestors was “what we call a nothing burger.”
“The summer of rage, the hundreds of thousands of people taking to the streets, just isn’t happening,” said Mahoney.
. . .
LifeSite’s Doug Mainwaring wrote that ShutDownDC’s proposed blockade of the Supreme Court had “failed.” “Pro-aborts have no momentum, no energy,” he tweeted. “This feels like a pathetic last gasp for Roe v Wade. The energy and momentum is 100% with the pro-life movement and the unborn.”
With Wednesday of this week also billed as an opinion release date, a total of 29 opinions are left to be issued before the end of this term later this month.

- Father God, law enforcement officials have advised us that violence may erupt in the streets surrounding the Supreme Court. We ask for a move of divine intervention, that You would intervene to bring calm to this neighborhood. We continue to kneel in repentance for the millions of lives that have been lost through abortion in our land, and we ask for Your hand of mercy to rest upon us. Thank You, O Lord, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen.

Chicago may hit century mark for 1st time in nearly 10 years
|
|
Since the start of June, large portions of the central and eastern United States have been able to enjoy rather seasonable conditions, but, AccuWeather forecasters say, comfortable weather will be but a distant memory in the days to come. A drastic and intense warmup is on the way for a large swath of the country this week as a major atmospheric feature shifts position.
"As the jet stream lifts north, a large heat dome will become more expansive over the Central states, Midwest and Southeast over the next several days," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dan Pydynowski explained.
Last week, a large swath of the United States roasted amidst unseasonable heat as high temperature records shattered from the Southwestern states to Texas. The same feature that brought sweltering heat to those regions will now allow Mother Nature to crank up the thermostat for another part of the country.
Through Wednesday, high temperatures will soar 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit above normal as July-like air engulfs areas from the Plains to the Midwest and even parts of the East Coast. Depending on location, the day of peak heating will vary, but the unseasonable aspect of the heat itself will remain consistent through at least midweek for many areas. Read More

Missouri governor signs law shielding doctors prescribing ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine
|
|
A bill signed into law by Gov. Mike Parson Tuesday will shield healthcare providers from losing their medical licenses when prescribing ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine, two medications that have not been shown to be effective in treating COVID-19. The language was included in a bill dealing with professional licensing regulations, and it was not highlighted in Parson’s news release announcing his decision to sign it and laying out its various provisions. The bill stipulates that the act of “lawfully” dispensing or prescribing ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine for human use cannot be cited as grounds for disciplinary action by the State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts or Board of Pharmacy. Additionally, a pharmacist cannot contact the prescribing physician to dispute the efficacy of the medications, “unless the physician or patient inquires of the pharmacist” themselves about their effectiveness.
Despite opposition from some Democratic senators, Sen. Rick Brattin, R-Harrisonville, was successful in attaching the amendment to the bill in April. Brattin said during Senate debate at the time that the proposal was necessary to ensure “the weaponization of the board of healing arts does not occur with our physicians” over the two medications that he said have become “extremely politicized.”Brattin, who is running for the Republican nomination in the 4th Congressional District primary, said he had heard from physicians who asked for such protections. The provisions of the bill regarding ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine go into effect Aug. 28. (Missouri Independent) Read more.

Scripture: O Lord Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in You. Psalm 84:11–12
Lyrics:
When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
Refrain
Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss,
Not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.
Refrain
But we never can prove
The delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows,
For the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
Refrain
Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet.
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way.
What He says we will do,
Where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.
Refrain
