FROM CAPITOL HILL PRAYER PARTNERS: "A CALL TO ARMS!"
|
|
[Released in conjunction with the GLOBAL WATCH/D.C. ZOOM call at 11:00 p.m. last night.]
There was a sense on tonight's ZOOM call (D.C. Watch) that our Lord is calling us to NOT STOP PRAISING HIM ( or ROARING ) at this set time. The battles in the House and the Senate are fierce, with Democrats frantically trying to codify a woman's "right to choose" (Roe v. Wade), in all 50 states . . along with a new "Respect for Marriage Act" that was JUST PASSED TODAY in the House and will insure that gay marriage is also codified in all 50 states in our nation! The pressure to see these wicked laws (and others) passed is also intense, as the Democrats know they are about to lose their control of the House and possibly the Senate in our national, congressional election this fall. (Sadly, 47 Republicans joined the Democrats in the HOUSE to pass the marriage act.)
The focus now turns to the Senate, where each bill must be passed (stopped) next.
Starting today, we invite each one of you to set aside FIVE MINUTES every day at noon in your own time zone -- to stop what you are doing -- and to come before our Lord with a ROAR, or a song of HIGH PRAISE, or any other form of WORSHIP until these bills have been DEFEATED (not passed) in the Senate. The LORD said to KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING . . . and that that which we have all birthed worldwide SHALL COME TO PASS! By observing these 5 minutes daily, a rhythm of synchronicity shall be established, around the world, that shall undo the work of the evil one and set the captives free!
Hallelujah!
|
|
And now:
"The high praises of God shall be in their mouths,
And a two-edged sword in their hands,
7 To execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishment on the peoples,
8 To bind their kings with chains,
And their dignitaries with shackles of iron,
9 To execute against them the judgment written.
This is an honor for all His godly ones.
Praise the Lord!" (Psalm 149:6)

1. Yamina MK: 'The experiment failed, there's no place for new experiments' - Israel National News
MK Nir Orbach (Yamina), who has not yet decided which party he will run with in the upcoming elections, has published a new video clip hinting to his party's chief, Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked, that there is no room for another government with the Arabs and the extreme Left.
In the video clip, which was published on social media, Orbach says, "Everything has a limit, and I brought down the government when the line was crossed."
"It started when the United Arab List (Ra'am) decided to be absent from votes because of tree-planting in the Negev. It continued and worsened when the Public Security Minister spoke about 'settler violence' with senior officials from around the world, and again when I needed to fight to stop the daycare plan and for the approval of over 4,000 new housing units in Judea and Samaria." 2. Far Left is pushing to make Palestinian 'return' a viable option - Israel Hayom
Israeli diplomats across the globe have recently been reporting that what until now had been limited to an accepting discourse of "the other's tragedy" – about 750,000 Arabs who were forced to leave their homes in 1948 after Arab countries launched a war to destroy the newly-declared state of Israel – is turning into a vibrant discussion that includes practical aspects how the "right of return" to Israel along with 1967 borders will be implemented. This includes cities like Jaffa, Lod, Acre, Ramle, and Haifa, among others, or the reestablishment and repopulation of hundreds of villages that were abandoned and/or destroyed during the war.
For a while, it was mainly various BDS groups, Palestinians living abroad, Arabs in Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza Strip, and some Arab Israelis – particularly in mixed cities – who were focused on the issue. Now, a probe by Israel Hayom reveals that some left-wing Israeli groups (Jewish, Arab, and Jewish-Arab) have been laying the groundwork, both in terms of public opinion and practicalities, for "the return." They are preparing lesson plans about the possibility as well as documents designed to help people "imagine the return" so it can be "implemented." The groups are busy with allocating lands to the refugees, or their descendants, and trying to sell the idea to the Jewish public.
A little background: During the War of Independence – which erupted after the Arabs rejected the UN Partition Plan and launched an assault on the Jewish Yishuv in Israel – hundreds of Arab villages and populated areas were destroyed. Of the some 750,000 Arabs who lived there, only about 160,000 remained. The rest became refugees. Since then, the Palestinians have demanded that Israel allow the remaining refugees, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to exercise what they call "the right of return." The Palestinians number them at about 7.4 million. The Palestinian refugee status is the only one in the world that is passed down from one generation to the next. The UN even established UNRWA, a refugee organization exclusively for them. (Read more)

3. Legal coalition urges ICC to prosecute Abbas over torture of Palestinians - World Israel News
A global coalition of 25 legal organizations has called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to prosecute Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas over the “widespread and systematic torture” of Palestinians, amid a probe by the UN Committee Against Tortureagainst the PA.
The Israel-based International Legal Forum (ILF) said the Palestinian Authority was also liable for the ongoing captivity in Gaza of four Israelis on the basis of its admission into the Rome Statute, the ICC’s founding treaty, in 2015. The bodies of IDF soldiers Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul, as well as two civilians with a history of mental health issues, Avera Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed, are being held by the Hamas terror group in Gaza.
Acts of torture against Palestinians, including political dissidents, women, minors, members of the LGBTQ community and alleged “collaborators” with Israel, include violent beatings, arbitrary detention, solitary confinement, inhumane prison conditions, harassment, forced confessions and summary executions. 4. Britain launches free trade talks with Israel - YNET News
Britain on Wednesday launched free trade talks with Israel, aimed at boosting services and tech sector ties as it seeks new trade deals after leaving the European Union. The current trade deal between the two countries is based on an old EU deal that has no specific provisions on services, Britain said, adding that the trading relationship is currently worth 5 billion pounds ($6 billion) a year.
When it left the EU, Britain signed deals to keep existing trade arrangements in place but later revisited them in search of better terms, including the agreement with Israel.
"The UK and Israel are both modern, hi-tech services superpowers, but our current trading relationship is based on an agreement from 1995, before smartphones, the internet, and digitally delivered services transformed the global economy," trade minister Anne-Marie Trevelyan said.
"Combining the power of our economies in a revamped trade deal will boost trade, support jobs and help take our economic relationship to the next level."
Britain said a deal could boost UK service exports by up to 78 million pounds and benefit over 6,000 businesses. (Read more)

Archaeologists from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem say they have made numerous discoveries, including an ornate first-century villa with its own ritual bath, after a project began to increase access for disabled people to Jerusalem’s Western Wall.
The villa, located steps from where the biblical Jewish Temples stood, was uncovered during several years of salvage excavations in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem’s historic Old City. (Read more)

1. Flight attendant fired for pro-life activism receives $5.1M in damages - Christian Post
A flight attendant who alleges she was fired from her position due to her vocal religious opposition to abortion and union dues being used to support abortion-related causes has won a $5.1 million federal lawsuit against her former employer and union.
The National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation announced in a statement Thursday that Charlene Carter, a pro-life Christian who formerly worked as a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines, prevailed in her religious discrimination lawsuit with the airline and the Transportation Workers Union of America.
Carter will receive $5.1 million in combined compensatory and punitive damages against TWU and Southwest as a jury deemed that both organizations played a role in an unlawful termination. (Read more)

3. The State Department Used Your Tax Dollars To Fund a Film Festival That Depicted Drag Queens, Incest, and Pedophilia - Free Beacon
The State Department helped fund a film festival in September that featured movies depicting drag queens, incest, and pedophilia, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.
Queer Lisboa, an international queer film festival held in Portugal, was given $10,000 as part of the Biden administration's push to "support LGBTQ+ and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility efforts" abroad, according to a State Department spokeswoman. The festival's offerings included P.S. Burn This Letter Please, a documentary about drag culture in post-war New York City, Saint-Narcisse, a film about incestuous twins, and Minyan, a movie about a 17-year-old Jewish boy who leaves his parents to explore New York City’s gay scene and eventually has sex with an adult bartender.
The event was one of several bankrolled by taxpayers to promote LGBT acceptance abroad. In the last year, the State Department funded the "first gender and sexuality library in Lebanon," provided diversity and inclusion consulting to Latin American police forces, and hosted a transgender recognition webinar in Norway, according to an interagency report. The department said locals sometimes pushed back against LGBT promotion, perceiving it as "Western," "imported," or "against cultural or religious values." (Read more)

4. Dems Kill Bills To Stop Taxpayer Funds From Reaching Iran - Free Beacon
Congressional Democrats killed a handful of measures that would have stopped the Biden administration from providing U.S. taxpayer funds to the hardline Iranian regime and increased economic sanctions on the country.
Democrats running the House Rules Committee last week shot down seven Republican-led measures targeting Iran. Republican foreign policy leaders were pushing for the measures to be included in the recently passed National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the sprawling annual funding bill for national security priorities.
Congressional sources who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon said House Democrats rejected the measures to help the Biden administration in its push to secure a revamped version of the 2015 nuclear accord. Those negotiations are ongoing, and the White House is pushing its allies in Congress to avoid passing any measures that may upset the hardline regime and erode progress in talks. (Read more)

5. US trying to reseal NIH docs related to COVID info deleted at China’s request says Oversight Group - Just The News
Jason Foster, Founder and President of Empower Oversight Whistleblowers and Research, discusses another instance of the secret-hand of government coming out, stealing another piece of transparency from the American public.
Foster discusses the revelations that the NIH has complied with requests from Chinese researchers "multiple times” to delete “Coronavirus genetic information” from their databases, with the first request and deletion being as early as March of 2020. Commenting, “why would you let a Chinese researchers request to remove information that could be related to the pandemic, that's related it curent coronavirus genetic sequences? Why would you delete that? Saying, that specific deletion "was requested in June of 2020, right in the height of the pandemic, and the NIH did delete them."

6. Iran celebrates $40 billion oil deal with Russia's Gazprom as Putin visits Tehran - Just The News
Iran's state-owned oil company on Tuesday announced it reached a $40 billion deal with Russia's majority-state-owned Gazprom to develop oil fields and gas pipelines.
The so-called "new chapter of Iran-Russia relations" comes after Gazprom executives visited Tehran last week, one week ahead of Putin's trip.
The head of National Iranian Oil Company and Deputy Mohsen Khojastehmehr hinted toward new contracts between the two countries in the future and "stressed the role of Iran and Russia in the stability of energy supply in the world," according to a press release from the company.
"[T]he two countries want to expand relations at all economic and political grounds," Iran said.
Tehran lauded the deal as "the largest foreign investment memorandum in the history of Iran's oil industry," in a translated statement. (Read more)

7. With bipartisan support, House passes measure to enshrine marriage equality in federal law - Just The News
The Democrat-controlled House on Tuesday approved legislation to protect interracial and same-sex marriages, following concerns that the Supreme Court recently striking down the constitutional right to abortion could lead to the loss of other rights.
The roll call vote – which requires all House members to vote, was 267-157, with 47 Republicans joining all Democrats in voting for passage, according to the Associated Press. The Democrat-led measure attempts to enshrine marriage equality in federal law, in an election year season in which control of Congress is at stake.
Despite strong support in the House, the Respect for Marriage Act is likely to stall in the Senate, where most Republicans would probably join in a procedural move known as a filibuster to keep it from getting the required 60-votes in the evenly-split 50-50 Senate to advance to a final vote. (Read more)
- Lord God we thank you for the precious gift of marriage and we thank you for your perfect design that marriage is between one man and one woman. We thank you that this union is reflection of who you are and the love that a married couple grows into and shares is a reflection of how you love us. We thank you that no man can take that away and that your perfect plan will stand from age to age.
-"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous." (Hebrews 13:4)

8. Bidenomics: 3 out of 4 middle class families are falling behind as prices rise, poll finds - Just The News
Three out of four middle-class households report falling behind as inflation continues to soar, according to a new poll. Primerica released the report, which found that 75% of middle-income families “say their income is falling behind the cost of living,” an eight-point rise since March. The poll found only 16% of those surveyed think they will be better off financially in a year.
Surveyed American middle-income families cited inflation as a top concern. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ latest federal inflation data showed a 9.1% increase in consumer prices over the past year and a rise in the producer price index of more than 11%, nearly the highest ever recorded.
“Concern about the economy continues to be a major stressor, with about 41% rating inflation as their top concern,” the group said. “Being able to pay for food and groceries also ranks high (26%, up four percentage points since March) as does their current financial situation (25%, up eight percentage points since March).” (Read more)
- Lord God we lift up all these families to you that are hurting and struggling that you would bring them peace and comfort in the mighty name of Jesus. We thank you that you are giving your people supernatural ideas and ways to get out of this that system of the world where we are totally dependent on you and every need is supplied according to your riches in glory. In the name of Jesus we pray amen.
- “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

9. Ford Motor Co. announces thousands of workers to be laid off - NBC News
Ford workers were informed by letter Monday that 500 salaried workers are getting laid off and will have to clean out their desks by the end of the week.
And that’s just the first of a wave of layoffs in the U.S. that is expected to hit 800 by the end of June and 7,000 worldwide by the end of August, Ford CEO Jim Hackett said in a letter to all employees.
Bearing the subject line “Smart Redesign Update,” Hackett wrote that the cuts will reduce the management ranks by 20 percent and result in annual savings to the company of $600 million. “We also made significant progress in eliminating bureaucracy, speeding up decision making and driving empowerment as part of this redesign,” according to Hackett. 10. Biden announces executive actions on 'climate crisis,' focuses on extreme heat and boosting offshore wind - Fox News
Biden's executive actions come after Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., reportedly said that he will not support a package before the midterm elections which includes any provisions on energy and climate, with his spokesperson telling Fox News Digital that Manchin wants to "avoid taking steps that add fuel to the inflation fire."
The Biden administration will consider potential wind power projects in the Gulf of Mexico, which are being proposed off the coast of Galveston, Texas, and off the coast of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The White House estimates that the projects have the potential to power over three million homes with "clean energy."
Biden is also directing the Secretary of the Interior to "advance clean energy development" off the coasts of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina to ensure that "these southeast states will be able to benefit from good-paying jobs in the burgeoning offshore wind industry. Stupidocrisy: The Media's Lament
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, July 20, 2022
A Gallup poll indicating only 16% of Americans trust newspapers and only 11% trust television news has mainstream news media calling for more positive coverage of the failing Biden Administration and questioning why people don’t trust them. These polling numbers follow last year’s Gallup findings that Americans do not trust the media to report the news fully, accurately and fairly, and do not consider journalists as ethical. This has caused some finger pointing among mainstream media members. They blame Joe Biden’s failing agenda and Republican’s attacking democracy for the negative reporting, rather than taking responsibility for their poor image. But there may be even more beneath the veneer.
The Gallup poll caused MSNBC anchor Katy Tur some anxiety. In an interview with The Hill, Tur said, “People don’t trust us. They don’t believe us, and it makes me wonder if this job, as I’m currently doing it, is effective but if it’s doing more harm than good.” Tur concluded that the negative coverage of President Trump “hurt our credibility in the long run.” Washington Post columnist Perry Bacon, Jr. wrote: “The mainstream media has played a huge, underappreciated role in President Biden’s declining support over the past year. Its flawed coverage model of politics and government is bad for more than just Biden–it results in a distorted national discourse that weakens our democracy. The media needs to find a different way to cover Washington.” And Bacon believes that it is the media’s fault that Biden’s poll numbers are among the worst in history. Read More

Biden announces executive actions on 'climate crisis,' focuses on extreme heat and boosting offshore wind
|
|
|
President Biden announced on Wednesday that he will be implementing a number of executive actions focused on combating climate change.
Included in the executive actions is an effort to "protect communities from extreme heat and dangerous climate impacts," which includes $2.3 billion in funding for the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities program in 2022, which is intended to help communities "increase resilience to heat waves, drought, wildfires, flood, hurricanes, and other hazards by preparing before disaster strikes," according to the White House. Pressure on Senate GOP after same-sex marriage passes House
|
|
|
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate unexpectedly launched a new push Wednesday to protect same-sex marriage in federal law after a surprising number of Republicans helped pass landmark legislation in the House. Some GOP senators are already signaling support.
The legislation started as an election-season political effort to confront the new Supreme Court majority after the court overturned abortion access in Roe v. Wade, raising concerns that other rights were at risk. But suddenly it has a shot at becoming law. Pressure is mounting on Republicans to drop their longstanding opposition and join in a bipartisan moment for gay rights.
“This legislation was so important,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said as he opened the chamber Wednesday.
The Democratic leader marveled over the House's 267-157 tally, with 47 Republicans — almost one-fifth of the GOP lawmakers — voting for the bill late Tuesday.
“I want to bring this bill to the floor,” Schumer said, “and we're working to get the necessary Senate Republican support to ensure it would pass.”
Political odds are still long for the legislation, the Respect for Marriage Act, which would enshrine same-sex and interracial marriages as protected under federal law. Conservatives, including House GOP leaders, largely opposed the bill, and the vast majority of Republicans voted against it.
But in a sign of shifting political attitudes and a need for an election-year win, some Republicans are signaling there may be an opening. Few Republicans spoke directly against gay marriage during Tuesday's floor debate in the House. And Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell was notably silent when asked about the bill, saying he would take a look if it comes to the Senate.
“I'm going to delay announcing anything on that issue,” McConnell said, adding he would wait to see if Schumer brings it forward.
President Joe Biden wants Congress to send him the bill to sign as soon as possible. (AP) Read more here.

Sinkholes swallow parked cars after drenching storms slam NYC
|
|
Transportation was halted and a massive sinkhole devoured a van after more than 4 inches of rain fell across northern North Jersey and the Big Apple Monday.
Powerful thunderstorms that unleashed torrential rain and copious amounts of thunder and lightning Monday afternoon and evening across the middle leg of the Northeast's Interstate 95 corridor caused all manner of chaos on city and suburban streets. Flash flooding was a major problem in and around the New York City metro area as well as on the subways as 24-hour rainfall totals topped 4 inches in some of the hardest-hit places.
In one of the more dramatic scenes from around New York City, a large sinkhole that opened up in the hours after the deluge was seen on video swallowing a white van in the Bronx, one of New York City's five boroughs. Onlookers could be heard gasping in the video as the van plunged into the widening hole.
Antonio Papadoboulos had owned the van for 15 years before it was claimed by the sinkhole, Spectrum News 1 NY reported. When asked if he was nervous watching the sinkhole claim his van, a seemingly unfazed Papadoboulos told Spectrum News that he was "just going to buy a new one."
While sinkhole occurrences are more common in wetter tropical locations, the flooding downpours that overtook the New York City area Monday could be to blame. Read More

California: School District Postpones Planned Vote On Putting Planned Parenthood Clinic At High School Following Large Protest
|
|
California’s Norwalk-LaMirada Unified School District had planned to vote Monday on whether to install a Planned Parenthood clinic at one of its high schools, but the plan was postponed after a large group of parents and anti-abortion demonstrators held a protest outside the board meeting on the same day, Newsweek reports. Neither abortion nor gender-affirming treatment were to be offered by the clinic, but rather contraceptives and medications related to sexual health. The school district was preparing to vote on a proposal to put a Planned Parenthood clinic at John Glenn High School in Norwalk, but postponed it indefinitely upon the arrival of protestors.
The proposal to be voted on includes the statement: “Provider and District acknowledge that under California law minors have the right to consent to reproductive health services without parental consent or notification.” Under the terms of the proposal, the clinic would be able to provide the high school students with pharmaceuticals related to reproductive health, including contraceptives and antibiotics” and insert “non-surgical long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCS), including, without limitation, IUDs.”
In a statement given to Fox News Digital prior to the school district’s postponement of the vote, president and founder of Parents Defending Education said: “The fact that the contract specifically notes that ‘under California, law minors have the right to consent to reproductive health services without parental consent or notification’ is appalling in and of itself – as is the list of services that will be offered to children, from STD treatment to IUDs to ‘referrals to other health centers operated by Provider for services not offered at the Schools.” (Worthy News) Read More

Praise Him, Praise Him
To listen to this classic hymn, CLICK HERE
Words: Fanny Crosby
Music: Robert Lowry
Scripture: I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. Psalm 146:2
Lyrics:
Praise Him, praise Him—
Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer,
Sing, O earth, His wonderful love proclaim.
Hail Him! hail Him! highest archangels in glory;
Strength and honor give to His holy name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children,
In His arms He carries them all day long:
O ye saints that dwell on the mountain of Zion,
Praise Him, praise Him ever in joyful song.
Praise Him, praise Him—
Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer,
For our sins He suffered, and bled, and died;
He our rock, our hope of eternal salvation,
Hail Him, hail Him, Jesus the Crucified.
Loving Savior, meekly enduring sorrow,
Crowned with thorns that cruelly pierced His brow;
Once for us rejected, despised and forsaken,
Prince of Glory, He is triumphant now.
Praise Him, praise Him—
Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer,
Heav’nly portals loud with hosannas ring,
Jesus, Savior, reigneth forever and ever.
Crown Him! Crown Him—
Prophet, and Priest, and King!
Death is vanquished! Tell it with joy, ye faithful.
Where is now thy victory, boasting grave?
Jesus lives! No longer thy portals are cheerless;
Jesus lives, the mighty and strong to save.
