Prophetic Mega-Trends Reshaping Our World in 2024
|
|
Summary:
AI, China's impact on global events, upcoming elections, major developments in Israel, and many more events are shaping the world in 2024. I would like to provide a brief overview of what I consider "six mega-trends" for the upcoming year, which carry important prophetic significance.
#1 -- Artificial Intelligence
The first prophetic mega-trend that I see is AI. Artificial intelligence has really come on the scene in a dramatic way over the last year, but it's going to continue to accelerate into a mushroom as we go into 2024.
All the things that come from AI will be tools that will be used by the Antichrist. It's clear that he'll come and exploit this kind of technology in his domination of the world; therefore, it's important to keep up to date on what is happening in the development of AI.
#2 -- China's Impact On Global Events
China, I believe, will be the leader of the kings of the East, mentioned in Revelation 16, that will be part of the campaign of Armageddon. Just in the last few days, the country has been talking about the reunification of China, which means taking Taiwan and making it part of the communist regime.
Many people believe that China right now is sensing US weakness. They look ahead to next November, when someone else could be elected into office and believe that China is going to seize the opportunity between now and the elections to attack Taiwan. This is something that we have to keep our eyes on.
The elections this coming year are a huge issue that will determine, in many ways, our country's future. China could very well act this year, maybe early in the year, because they're sensing US weakness and take Taiwan, just as Russia has invaded Ukraine.
#3 -- Digital Currencies
Another prophetic mega-trend is digital currencies, which are paving the way to the one-world economy of the Antichrist.
#4 -- Narratives Surrounding Climate Change
Another point that we often overlook is climate change. Climate change is being grossly over-exaggerated to exert greater control over people's lives. Just last month, the COP28 annual UN Climate Change Conference was held in Dubai. Climate change is being whipped up constantly as an "existential crisis" for the world--and that's simply not true.

- Abba, we thank you that with all these demonic issues trying to destroy your world you have given us your word, your truth to help us keep our eyes on you. Your word says "For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet". We ask for our minds and hearts to be focused on the truth that you are still sitting on your throne and you still reign. Father, give us hope and strength to stand strong even when we don't understand what you do and don't allow. Lord, speak to each heart, give us the desire and the will to follow you in obedience, to walk with your in righteousness. Jesus, keep us at your feet worshipping and adoring you. IDF Mothers Protest US Interference in War

|
A group composed of some 7,000 mothers of Israeli soldiers fighting in the Gaza Strip held up huge posters depicting the children of senior U.S. officials as IDF recruits during a protest in front of U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken's Tel Aviv hotel on Tuesday. The message: What if it were your children fighting in the Gaza Strip? Would you continue to demand the resupply of the enemy?
The group behind the protest, Imahot HaLohamim ("Mothers of Combat Soldiers") is demanding an end to U.S. pressure on Israel. "Our message is very simple. Our soldiers' lives have to come first and foremost, and be prioritized over those of enemy civilians," Mirit Hoffman, the group's spokesperson, told JNS.
Since the war's start, the U.S. has insisted Israel permit humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip. President Joe Biden promised during an October visit to Israel that aid would cease if it was found that Hamas had diverted it for its purposes. It's a promise that has not been kept. The U.S. has instead doubled down, demanding that aid increase, including the entry of fuel, something that Israel at first categorically refused to allow.

- Abba, our hearts go out to all mothers who have those they love in harm's way in the IDF. We ask that your presence will be with each one, giving them comfort and peace. We ask you to intervene in the decisions the Biden regime is now making to put controls on the US support to Israel instead of keeping it's word given to Mr. Netanyahu to provide the armaments necessary to put an end to Hamas, no strings attached. We ask that you speak to SS Blinken's mind and heart, tell him of your promise to "bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel." Show him your hand in the midst of our nation backing away from the promises President Biden made. We ask that the consequences of withdrawing military support from "the apple of your eye" be immediate and obvious to all making these decisions. Release your warrior angels to stand with the IDF, give them everything they need to accomplish the intentions of your heart, to put an end to Hamas without US interference. We ask this in the name Jehovah Sabaoth, the Host of Heaven's Armies.

Hostage Families Support Suspending Gaza Aid Until Hostages are Released
|
|
The families of 132 Israeli hostages being held by Hamas on Tuesday held a protest march in an attempt to disrupt the transfer of aid to Gaza, calling on Israel to halt the flow of aid until their loved ones are freed. “What do we get in return? We think that if we’re talking humanitarian [matters], this aid should be in exchange for our hostages,” said Carmit Itzhaki, whose niece Eden Yerushalmi, 24, was abducted from the Supernova music festival on Oct. 7.
“Hamas was under pressure to bring in supplies and therefore went along with the hostages’ release,” said Itzhaki, referring to November’s hostages-for-ceasefire agreement. “But now that they receive supplies without a problem, what interest do they have in returning the rest of them?”
Itzhaki said the family hasn’t received any information on Eden since Oct. 7. In Eden’s last phone call, she simply cried out to her sister Shani, “They got me.” None of the 121 hostages released during November’s ceasefire can recall seeing Eden at any point.

1. Israeli Security Services Foil Jerusalem Bomb Plot by ISIS Supporters - Algemeiner
i24 News — Israel Police and the Shin Bet internal security agency foiled terror attacks planned by two suspects from East Jerusalem who supported the Islamic State (ISIS), a new press statement disclosed on Thursday.
According to the statement, the arrested terrorists planned to prepare charges and explosive devices for use against the Israeli security forces, but the police and the Shin Bet were able to stop the attack before it could happen.
The investigation began at the Shin Bet, along with the police’s Jerusalem district, on suspicions that ISIS supporters intended to carry out bomb attacks. As such, detectives arrested a 23-year-old suspect from Jebel Makbar in East Jerusalem and then his friend, a 21-year-old resident of the same neighborhood.
According to the investigation’s findings, the two suspects began supporting the ideology of ISIS after viewing content by the terrorist organization via the internet, particularly on Telegram, including gore content and videos of executions. (Read more)

2. IDF exposes massive tunnel in Khan Yunis where hostages were held - JNS
The Israel Defense Forces expanded its operations in Khan Yunis both above and below ground in the past 24 hours, exposing a vast terror tunnel beneath the southern Gaza City used by Hamas to hold hostages.
“The tunnel was connected to an extensive underground tunnel network beneath a civilian area in the city. Millions of shekels are estimated to have been invested in excavating the tunnel and equipping it with air ventilation systems, electrical supply and plumbing. After investigating the tunnel, it can be confirmed that Israeli hostages had been inside the tunnel,” the IDF said on Thursday morning.
To date, the official number of hostages still being held by Hamas is 136, some of whom are believed to have been killed in captivity. The terror group abducted 240 people during the bloody Oct. 7 rampage across the northwestern Negev in which 1,200 people, mostly civilians, were murdered and thousands more wounded. One hundred and ten hostages, mostly women and children, were released in November as part of a ceasefire agreement. (Read more)

3. Blinken: Palestinian statehood critical to Saudi-Israeli normalization - Jerusalem Post
Palestinian statehood must be part of Israeli normalization efforts in the region, including with Saudi Arabia, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken told reporters in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, after he had visited Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan.
Normalization is not a “substitute for” and can not come at the “expense of a political horizon for the Palestinians and ultimately a Palestinian state,” Blinken said.
“On the contrary, that piece has to be a part of any integration efforts or any normalization efforts,” he explained, adding that this was made very clear to him “in my conversations on this trip including in Saudi Arabia.” (Read more)

4. IDF reveals Hezbollah's lies - Israel National News
The IDF Arabic Language Spokesperson revealed on Thursday that Hezbollah made a critical mistake: it admitted that the individual who was killed in an Israeli strike was a terrorist working for the organization and not just an innocent civilian.
The spokesman, Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee published two photographs of Ali Mahmoud al-Sheikh Ali, who was killed on Wednesday in an Israeli strike in Lebanon, on X.
In one photograph, Ali is seen with the Hezbollah logo. In the second he is seen with the logo of the Islamic Health Organization, both photos were originally uploaded by Hezbollah. (Read more)

5. South Africa acting as Hamas’s legal arm, Israel says after ICJ hearing - JNS
The Israel Foreign Ministry accused South Africa on Thursday of acting as the “legal arm of the Hamas terrorist organization,” as two days of preliminary hearings kicked off at the U.N.’s top court in The Hague.
“Today, we were witness to one of the greatest shows of hypocrisy in history, compounded by a series of false and baseless claims,” Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lior Haiat said in a statement shared on X.
South Africa “utterly distorted the reality in Gaza following the Oct. 7 massacre and completely ignored the fact that Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israel, murdered, executed, massacred, raped and abducted Israeli citizens… in an attempt to carry out genocide,” added Haiat. (Read more)

1. Supreme Court Win is in the Cards for Jan 6 Defendants Lawyers Predict – The Epoch Times
The Supreme Court will strike down the use of a key federal law in the Biden administration’s ongoing prosecutions of Jan. 6 defendants and in the process shut down the government’s case against hundreds of defendants, legal experts predict. If the top court finds an Enron-era obstruction law—18 U.S. Code Section 1512(c)—is being used improperly against the defendants, their charges are likely to be thrown out.
At issue is the evidence-tampering provision that appears in the Corporate and Criminal Fraud Accountability Act of 2002, which was part of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act aimed at curbing wrongdoing on Wall Street.
President Trump was indicted under the same federal statute and also stands to benefit if the Supreme Court rules in favor of the defendant, sources told The Epoch Times.
Former police officer Joseph W. Fischer of Jonestown, Pennsylvania, is the main defendant in the case that revolves around protesting the impending congressional certification of the 2020 presidential election results at the U.S. Capitol.
Mr. Fischer was indicted two months after the Jan. 6 breach for obstructing an official proceeding; civil disorder; assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers; entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly conduct; and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building. He entered not guilty pleas to the charges.
The Supreme Court agreed on Dec. 13, 2023, to hear Fischer v. United States but oral arguments have not yet been scheduled. (Read more)

5. Trump Says He Knows Who His VP will Be – The Discern Report
During Fox News Iowa Town Hall event on Wednesday evening, 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump said he knows who his vice president pick would be, but declined to reveal who.
"Who would be in the running for Vice President?" Martha Maccallum asked.
"Well, I can’t tell you that really, I mean, I know who it’s gonna be."
Bret Baier asked if Trump could give a "hint."
"We’ll do another show sometime," Trump said.
"What about any of the people who you've run against? Would you be open to mending fences with any of them?" Maccallum asked.
"I will," Trump said, "I already like Chris Christie better."
Christie dropped out of the race earlier on Wednesday.

6. Trump Blasts AI as “Very Dangerous” Threat to US – The National Pulse
Former President Donald Trump has warned that artificial intelligence (A.I.) is “very dangerous for our country” in a post on Truth Social. Trump’s comments came after AI-generated, fake images of Trump and Jeffrey Epstein surfaced online, peddled by Hollywood “celebrities” attempting to deflect attention from the habits of their own friends and colleagues.
“This is what the Democrats do to their Republican Opponent, who is leading them, by a lot, in the Polls. This is A.I., and it is very dangerous for our Country!” wrote Trump. “I was never on Epstein’s Plane, or at his ‘stupid’ Island. Strong Laws ought to be developed against A.I. It will be a big and very dangerous problem in the future!”
Trump’s comments were posted along with an article from the Daily Mail about Mark Ruffalo, who reposted fake, A.I.-generated images of Trump on Epstein’s plane on X and criticized X CEO Elon Musk for allowing such material to proliferate on the social media site. (Read more)

7. The Establishment is Unmasking itself- ZeroHedge
Tens of millions of Americans sent Donald Trump to the White House in one of the biggest repudiations of the established political class in American history. In response, instead of reflecting on why so many Americans were so fed up with them, the establishment decided to frame Trump as the root cause of all the nastiness and hostility aimed their way. According to them, one man was corrupting America with hate, greed, and Russian propaganda.
That thinking has culminated in years of establishment attempts to remove Trump from power and later to bar him from ever holding office again. First, there was discussion of ousting him using the Twenty-Fifth Amendment. Then came the attempt to tie him to Russian intelligence. Next, they tried to impeach him twice. Finally, they charged him with felonies. Now some states are attempting to remove him from the 2024 ballot for a crime he hasn’t even been charged with.
The establishment is unwilling to admit that they are the reason Trump was elected. But, ironically, by attempting to disqualify him from participating in the election, they undermine the illusion of democracy - their main source of legitimacy in the eyes of many Americans. It’s hard to see how that will go well for them. (Read more)

- Father, forgive the ‘establishment’ for their arrogant thinking-- in a sense-- that they are God and know what’s best for the citizens. They apparently perceived the millions of voters as brainless and incompetent, not capable of wisdom and discernment since the voters elected the candidate the establishment despised. And what havoc, chaos and destruction within our nation their evil and cruel actions to disqualify President Trump have wrought. May they “see” and learn from the truth that the Trump supporters didn’t like or want what the establishment was selling; it sure doesn’t look like a democracy. We trust You to bring conviction and forgiveness of sin to those who come to You. As intercessors, we agree in asking You to make all of this work together for the good of the U.S.

8. US Consumers are Engaging in an Historic Debt Binge and Delinquencies are Ominously Rising – The Economic Collapse Blog
Americans are going into debt as if tomorrow will never come, but of course tomorrow always arrives eventually. What we are witnessing right now is truly a historic debt binge, and to many of the experts it seems like there is no end in sight to the unrestrained spending that is going on. But are U.S. consumers going into record levels of debt because they are feeling good about things or because they are trying to survive in an increasingly harsh economic environment? In America today, the cost of living has become exceedingly oppressive, employers are laying off large numbers of workers
, and poverty and homelessness have been absolutely exploding all over the country. Millions of U.S. households are just barely hanging on by their fingernails, and many desperate consumers have been piling up debt in a frantic attempt to stave off the inevitable.
According to new data that was just released by the Federal Reserve, consumer borrowing increased much faster than expected during the month of December…
US consumers did not rein in their spending this past holiday season, and now have near-record-breaking debt balances to show for it, according to new Federal Reserve data released Monday.
For quite a while, U.S. consumers were able to handle rapidly rising debt levels, but now it appears that we are reaching a breaking point. (Read more)

- Lord, we are not sure of the motives of various households that have need to continue deeper and deeper into debt. Please help our people find the better way to live before individuals and families fall into a pit too deep to escape. Have mercy, Abba; deliver us from this weight too heavy to carry. May we learn from our mistakes, and may our financial system correct itself and begin to model appropriate and healthy financial dealings.
We grieve for those who see no way out of financial ruin and for those who are already jobless and homeless. Abba, please show each one their own way back up to stability.
May we, as a nation, experience revival and come to treasure Your ways and words of instruction that we might live a full, fruitful life that is pleasing to You.

Joe Biden’s campaign kickoff speech was designed to establish that Joe Biden is Democracy and Donald Trump is authoritarianism. A vote for Biden is a vote to save Democracy. Those who vote for Trump are anti-Democracy extremists. That’s how his speech shaped up. A democracy is defined as: a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections. The United States, however, is a Constitutional Republic where voters elect representatives to govern by rule of law. The difference is subtle, but important. One is majority rule as supreme power. The other is representatives governing by rule of law.
So often, democracies turn into tyrannies. We have seen it in Iraq, Egypt, Nicaragua, Cuba, China, Russia, Gaza, Turkey, Venezuela and so on. The majority is elected then they move away from established laws into tyranny. Elections are held, but the electorate is only allowed to vote for candidates that represent the brand of democracy because all dissenting candidates are eliminated. Propaganda campaigns are conducted by the party-owned press. Endless investigations and trials against dissenters are guided by a weaponized “legal” system. South Africa acting as Hamas’s legal arm, Israel says after ICJ hearing

The Israel Foreign Ministry accused South Africa on Thursday of acting as the “legal arm of the Hamas terrorist organization,” as two days of preliminary hearings kicked off at the U.N.’s top court in The Hague.
“Today, we were witness to one of the greatest shows of hypocrisy in history, compounded by a series of false and baseless claims,” Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lior Haiat said in a statement shared on X.
South Africa “utterly distorted the reality in Gaza following the Oct. 7 massacre and completely ignored the fact that Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israel, murdered, executed, massacred, raped and abducted Israeli citizens… in an attempt to carry out genocide,” added Haiat. STATEMENT BY CONCERNED CHRISTIANS IN RESPONSE TO THE CASE LAUNCHED BY SOUTH AFRICA AGAINST ISRAEL IN THE ICJ

We the South African Christian leaders, strongly oppose the decision by the South African government to launch the case against Israel, and demand it be rescinded immediately (“the Decision”) as it is without merit and detrimental to South Africa’s national interests for the following reasons:
1. We had hoped and prayed that our government would use its influence as a peacemaker to bring about a meaningful and lasting peace in the Middle East. Regrettably it has elected not to do so and instead has chosen sides. We, as Christians deplore the loss of innocent lives, be it the Jews, Palestinians, Christians or any other people but are strongly opposed to the Decision.
2. The Decision is fundamentally flawed. The unprovoked attack against Israel’s civilians included rape, mutilation, burning and other, hitherto, unimaginable horrors. This was a deliberate genocide attempt and is supported by Hamas’ charter calling for the total destruction of Israel. Gaza and West Bank celebrations following the attack and Hamas’ repeated statements that it seeks to carry out similar October 7 massacres whenever it has the opportunity. Hamas and other fundamentalist organizations before and after October 7 have openly called for the killing of every Jew and Israeli world wide, whilst DIRCO stated in our country's position, that the South African government is opposed to all forms of terrorism in February 2023, we call on our government to return to that stance. Israel does not seek to wipe Gaza or the Palestinians off the face of the map. It seeks to defend itself. This is a case of victim blaming by our government.
3. The Decision is not in the best interest of South Africa and its citizens. Detrimental political and economic consequences are likely to follow from the fact that many of South Africa’s major trading partners, including the US, Germany and Britain regard the Decision as an endorsement of the atrocities committed by Hamas . South Africa is suffering from debilitating unemployment levels, high levels of poverty and is fast becoming an uninvestable, failed country. We urge the Government to focus on this key issue, which impacts every South African, especially our most vulnerable citizens.
4. The absence of a public condemnation from South Africa regarding Hamas's actions in Gaza, raises significant concerns. This silence is more conspicuous given the recent hosting of a delegation from Iran and Hamas in South Africa. Such actions could be interpreted as direct support to Hamas's tactics, including using civilians as human shields and diverting aid for military purposes and the building of tunnels, rather than humanitarian relief sent to the Palestinian people, which was intercepted by Hamas. This stance raises questions about South Africa's position on these critical human rights issues and its role in international diplomacy. Our government's lead counsel in the case, is a trustee of an International NGO, ‘Lawyers for Palestine’, which appears to be the source of much of their application.
5. The slogan from Hamas “From the river to the sea” means Israel must become Palestine and Jews must be destroyed. Aside from denying the Jews a right to a homeland in the aftermath of the holocaust, where does this leave us Christians? Places of worship for Christians in the Holy Land will be destroyed. South Africa is not a Muslim country. The majority of its people are Christians. The South African government has prejudiced the interests of its own people to achieve the political and religious objectives of others. The government is also aware that the one sided approach it has adopted has placed its Jewish citizens at risk by inciting antisemitism as well as eroding the freedom of religion of Christians in South Africa.
6. Why did the Government not speak out against numerous atrocities committed against innocent civilians, as well as bringing hostages home. This long list includes Syria, Nigeria, Rwanda, Mozambique, Afghanistan. Our government has been inconsistent in upholding international law, assisting Omar al-Bashir to evade arrest? Additionally, why has South Africa chosen to ignore Security Council Resolution number 1373 which requires all UN countries, including South Africa to take steps against, let alone support, terrorist organizations like Hamas.
7. The list goes on. The fact of the matter is that South Africa has demonstrated
capricious subjectivity by the Decision and has elected to engage in “lawfare” to achieve the political and religious agendas of extremists whose interests are not aligned with those of the majority of South African citizens or our national interest.
8. We reiterate our prayer for peace and deeply regret our government's Decision to take sides and to do the bidding of those who have sinister and ulterior political and religious objectives and who have no genuine interest in the rule of law.

100 inches of snow and 40 below zero: Northwest faces harsh winter weather

Snow will be measured in feet in parts of the Northwest into the weekend, as cold, Arctic air combines forces with a storm train from the Pacific.
Pining for a taste of the frozen tundra? There's no better place to be than the Northwest this week, where the combination of harsh Arctic winds and a parade of winter storms can lead to subzero temperatures, blizzard conditions and over 8 feet of snow into the early part of the weekend, say AccuWeather meteorologists.
The storms that moved ashore in the Northwest as of late have also been crossing the country, bringing the most significant and wide-reaching winter events of the season thus far to the central and eastern United States. That will continue to be the case deep into January as waves of Arctic air escape south through Canada and expand across the country.
Recent heavy snowfall contributed to an avalanche on Wednesday morning at Palisades Tahoe Resort, California, according to the Associated Press. Search and rescue operations were ongoing.

'Students Need God':
School-Based Bible Program Having Positive Impact on Public School Kids

An innovative Bible education program offered in public schools across Ohio, Indiana, and Iowa is having a profoundly positive impact on students' academic performance, behavior, and emotional well-being, a new survey finds. LifeWise Academy offers religious instruction during the school day and thousands of students are seeing their lives improved by the curriculum. New data confirms the program is also positively affecting public school metrics like attendance, instruction hours, and classroom participation. Ambassador Enterprises commissioned a third-party data research firm, Thomas P. Miller & Associates (TPMA), to gather and analyze data from 6,478 different schools across Ohio, Indiana, and Iowa, to understand the effectiveness of LifeWise programming in their region. In 76 of the studied schools, LifeWise Academy has been in place for multiple school years. And the survey found that the schools' attendance rate increased in just the first year of the program – most attendance improved by nearly 7%. Additionally, student participation increased by 10% in a LifeWise program school.
In the second and third years, schools with LifeWise programming saw improvements in discipline, with declines in both in-school and out-of-school suspensions. These results have led to a net increase in instruction hours for schools with LifeWise programming. "As I travel across the country and hear from more and more parents and public school educators...I grow even more confident that our program is absolutely invaluable to the students and communities where we serve," said Joel Penton, Founder of LifeWise Academy in a statement. "We know that when students receive religious instruction, they experience spiritual growth and improved mental health. Their behavior and classroom participation improves, and teachers and parents are provided with a critical lifeline to help students become a more positive influence among their peers. Our Bible classes ensure students not only attain knowledge but also are inspired with wisdom that will shape their character," he continued.
