Former President Trump on Monday said that his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida is "under siege" by a "large group" of FBI agents conducting a search warrant.
"Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate," Trump said. "It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don't want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections."
"Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries. Sadly, America has now become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before," Trump said, alleging that the FBI agents broke into his safe.
"It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don't want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections," the former president continued.
A source familiar told Fox News that FBI agents went to Mar-a-Lago and looked in every single office, safe, and grabbed documents and boxes without going through them on the property. They took boxes and documents to go through them later.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem blasted Biden's FBI, calling the agency's actions "un-American" in a statement posted to Twitter Monday evening. "The FBI raid on President Trump’s home is an unprecedented political weaponization of the Justice Department. They’ve been after President Trump as a candidate, as President, and now as a former President. Using the criminal justice system in this manner is un-American," wrote Noem.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted Democrats over details in a reconciliation bill that would add 87,000 more IRS workers.
Cruz shared the remarks during a Senate floor speech this weekend that noted Americans are not looking for more IRS agents as an answer to the nation’s problems.
“There are a lot of bad things in this bill, but few are worse than the proposal by Democrats in this bill to double the size of the IRS and create 87,000 new IRS agents,” Cruz said during his Senate floor speech.
“I guarantee you citizens in every one of our states, if you ask them, ‘What do they want?’ they don’t want 87,000 new IRS agents. And they’re not being created to audit billionaires or giant corporations. They’re being created to audit you,” he added.

1. ‘Operation Breaking Dawn’: Some 1,000 projectiles fired at Israel, as IDF targets Islamic Jihad leaders - JNS
(August 7, 2022 / JNS) Israel’s “Operation Breaking Dawn” entered its third day on Sunday, as Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip resumed firing rockets at the Jewish state. Sirens blared in the Jerusalem area and in the southern city of Beersheba on Sunday for the first time since the launch of the operation on Friday.
As of Sunday evening, terrorists from Gaza had fired nearly 1,000 projectiles towards the Jewish state since hostilities broke out, according to the IDF.
The Iron Dome missile defense system successfully intercepted 96 percent of the projectiles that were headed for populated regions. About 160 of the rockets fell short in Gaza, killing at least nine people, said the IDF.
The military added that it had struck over 140 assets belonging to PIJ in Gaza since launching its mission. (Read more)

2. IDF gradually lifts restrictions on south, Gaza border as ceasefire holds - World Israel News
Israel has gradually begun lifting security restrictions on southern Israel and on the Gaza-Israel border crossings as a ceasefirewith the Palestinian Islamic Jihad continued to hold on Monday morning.
Residents of Israeli communities located close to Gaza no longer have to remain close to bomb shelters, and normal train traffic between Sderot and Ashkelon was set to resume from noon, Israeli security authorities announced.
The crossings between Israel and the Gaza Strip were open for humanitarian purposes at 9 a.m.
“The full return to … routine will be possible following further assessments of the situation and provided that the security situation in the area is quiet,” said a statement by the Israeli military’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories.

4. Islamic Jihad rockets killed more civilians in Gaza than IDF airstrikes did - Jerusalem Post
An IDF briefing about Operation Breaking Dawn revealed that one in five Islamic Jihad rockets fell in Gaza. That means 200 out of 1,100 rockets fired.
More innocent people in Gaza were killed by failed Islamic Jihad rockets than by Israeli airstrikes during Operation Breaking Dawn, according to a briefing by the commander of the IDF Spokesperson's Unit Brig.-Gen. Ran Kochav.
Operation Breaking Dawn lasted for 66 hours in which the IDF struck 170 targets, killing several high-ranking Islamic Jihad operatives and destroying much of the terrorist organization's military capabilities, terrorist attack tunnels and weapon storage facilities. For its final action of the operation on Sunday night, the IDF destroyed three warehouses that were used to store a variety of weapons. (Read more)

1.Nikki Haley Makes Dire Prediction if GOP Loses 2022 Midterms (theepochtimes.com)
Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley on Sunday claimed the 2022 midterms will make or break Republicans, arguing that if the GOP doesn’t win back Congress, “there won’t be 2024.”
“If we don’t win in 2022, there won’t be a 2024,” said Haley, a Republican, during a Fox News appearance on Sunday. “So we need to stay humble, disciplined, and win that.”
Haley, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, did not elaborate.
The party of the president historically tends to lose congressional seats in the forthcoming midterm elections. Democrats currently hold slim majorities in both the Senate and the House.
Republicans in June indicated they are targeting around 75 House seats currently held by Democrats or have been newly created.

Stock trading for members of Congress is becoming a flashpoint on the campaign trail this cycle as calls for a ban on the practice for lawmakers grow.
The issue is a rarity in that it has cut across party lines, with Republicans and Democrats both seizing on the issue ahead of the midterms.
North Carolina Democratic Senate candidate Cheri Beasley rolled out an ad this week calling for members of Congress to be banned from participating in the practice, while Republicans have hit vulnerable Democrats like Rep. Elaine Luria (D-Va.) over their stances against a ban.
“It’s so overwhelmingly popular because the public understands it and they’re outraged,” said Liz Hempowicz, director of public policy at the Project on Government Oversight.

3. Trump Reveals What He’ll Do for Fired Unvaccinated Military Service Members If He Wins in 2024 (theepochtimes.com)
Former President Donald Trump said on Aug. 7 that if he returns to the White House in 2025 he’ll rehire the service members who lost their jobs by refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
“I think it’s a disgrace what happened to them,” Trump said, answering a reporter’s question.
Trump was responding to questions from the press before he took the stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas on Saturday.
“I’d let them back. I’d give back pay,” Trump said. “So I would give them their back pay and I would let them back, and they understand that. They know it.”
Back pay is “a common remedy for wage violations” where “the employer makes up the difference between what the employee was paid and the amount he or she should have been paid,” according to the Department of Labor.

4. Booming Jobs Report Masks Uptick In Men Leaving The Labor Force | The Daily Caller
Women’s employment increased markedly from June to July, but the total number of employed working-aged men actually dropped in that same time span according to a July jobs report released Friday.
There were 170,000 fewer employed men in July than June, whereas 349,000 more women were employed in July, according to Yahoo Finance. Women’s unemployment dipped to 3.1% in July from 3.3% in June while the same figure for men remained steady at 3.2% from June, the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ July 2022 Employment Situation report found.
The labor force participation rate for women ticked up from 57.1% in June 2022 to 57.3% in July, according to the Employment Situation report. However, men’s labor force participation decreased from 70.1% to 69.9% in that same stretch, with the number of men not in the labor force increasing from 39,776,000 in July 2021 to 40,584,000 in July 2022.

5. MORGAN: Biden’s Civil War On Energy Is Leaving Endless Collateral Damage In Its Wake | The Daily Caller
President Joe Biden has declared he will “end fossil fuel.” Presidents have declared war on everything from poverty to drugs, but his declaration is much more sinister. His is really a civil war.
The combatants are heavy-handed bureaucrats harassing fellow countrymen who want to do nothing more than fuel their car, cool their home, or use their skills to supply energy or other energy-based products for their neighbors.
Unlike threats such as drugs or poverty, there is no widespread consensus on the “evil” of so-called fossil fuels. Biden’s espoused targets might be coal and oil corporations, but the collateral damage is you and me.
In deciding to “end” fossil fuels, the president — fueled by the Left — has two avenues. He could attack the demand for affordable and efficient carbon-based fuels like coal, gas and oil (try to encourage people to use less of them). Or he could attack the supply, making it harder to produce them in the first place. He has pursued both simultaneously — and as fast as Congress and the courts will let him.

A pride event in Pennsylvania that reportedly taught children how to pole dance received a $10,000 grant championed by Gov. Tom Wolf’s (D) administration.
The viral video, posted by Libs of TikTok, depicts a shirtless man instructing a child — who appears to be a boy — wearing a rainbow tutu and headband. The child, receiving reassurance from onlookers, climbs the pole and then spins around, garnering cheers.

7. Michigan Town Votes to Defund Library Over Books With Graphic Sexual Content (theepochtimes.com)
Residents of a town in western Michigan have overwhelmingly voted to not renew a property tax millage that has helped fund their public library following a battle over LGBT-themed books with explicit illustrations.
More than 60 percent of Jamestown Township voters voted “no” on Aug. 2 to a 10-year millage renewal and a tax increase for the local library. Roughly 3,000 people, representing a third of the township’s population, participated in the election.
The bulk of the library’s $245,000 annual budget comes from the now-defeated millage, which means that the Patmos Library will run out of money in early 2023, according to library board President Larry Walton. It also means that residents won’t have their property taxes raised by $24.

Australia’s shadow defence minister has called on the West to “see China with clear eyes” as he warned Australia’s “greatest vulnerability” is its failure to recognise the communist regime’s “fundamentally different vision for the world.”
Andrew Hastie on Sunday said that Australia is in an “immensely difficult” position where it can neither forsake its closest allies, the United States, nor turn away from its largest trading partner, China.
Hastie added that Australia has “failed to recognise how mobile our authoritarian neighbour has become” and ignored the role that ideology plays into China’s actions across the Indo-Pacific region. For example, Australia keeps using its own categories to understand China’s actions, such as its motivations for building ports and roads, rather than those used by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), he said.
“The West has made this mistake before. Commentators once believed Stalin’s decisions were the rational actions of a realist power,” Hastie said.
“Right now, our greatest vulnerability lies not in our infrastructure, but in our thinking. That intellectual failure makes us institutionally weak.”

9. Exclusive: U.S. readies new $1 billion Ukraine weapons package | Reuters
The Biden administration's next security assistance package for Ukraine is expected to be $1 billion, one of the largest so far, and include munitions for long-range weapons and armored medical transport vehicles, three sources briefed on the matter told Reuters on Friday.
The package is expected to be announced as early as Monday and would add to about $8.8 billion in aid the United States has given Ukraine since Russia's invasion on Feb. 24.
The officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that President Joe Biden had not yet signed the next weapons package. They cautioned that weapons packages can change in value and content before they are signed.
However, if signed in its current form, it would be valued at $1 billion and include munitions for HIMARS, NASAMS surface-to-air missile system ammunition and as many as 50 M113 armored medical transports.

Senate democrats just passed The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 which will not reduce inflation, but instead raises taxes for the climate change agenda and expands the IRS to collect those taxes. The bill now goes to the House of Representatives where the democrats will surely pass the bill. This is a clear example of how Congress lies to the people and represents only party-line agendas. Louisiana Republican Senator John Kennedy summed it up: “It’s a special kind of stupid to raise taxes during both a recession and inflation—that’s called stagflation, which is what we have right now as a result of President Biden’s policies.” This legislation is an indicator of an expanding tyrannical government.
Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) said, “The Democrats’ reckless tax and spending plan includes nearly $370 billion to fund the Green New Deal, $64 billion for Obamacare, and hundreds of billions in new taxes on American businesses and manufacturers…The spending spree also includes $80 billion to double the number of IRS agents–practically giving every American a personalized tax auditor. We should be cutting taxes, not increasing them.” What it amounts to is spending $370 billion to stimulate the pet climate change, green energy agenda of the left, rewarding non-profits, state and local governments, and Indian tribal governments with government cash payments while increasing taxes on corporations and raising drug prices on Medicare to pay for it.

Republican AGs Demand BlackRock Answer For Pushing ESG On State Pension Funds

Missouri Attorney General (AG) Eric Schmidt and 18 other Republican AGs are investigating BlackRock concerning the company’s push to place environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) standards on states’ pension funds, according to the AGs’ letter.
The Republican AGs, including those from Arizona, Texas, Ohio and Montana, sent a letter to BlackRock CEO Larry Fink on Thursday claiming that BlackRock did not attempt to make money for states’ pensioners, but rather used funds to pressure companies to phase-out fossil fuels and comply with its climate agenda. The AGs allege that numerous of the firms’ actions ‘may violate multiple state laws’ as BlackRock may have an ulterior motive, particularly concerning its “climate agenda,” that differs from its public stances and statements.
“They’re dancing on the precipice of being in breach of their fiduciary obligations…and that’s where you’d run into law-breaking in a state like Montana,” Montana AG Austin Knudsen told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
“BlackRock’s past public commitments indicate that it has used citizens’ assets to pressure companies to comply with international agreements such as the Paris Agreement that force the phase-out of fossil fuels, increase energy prices, drive inflation, and weaken the national security of the United States,” the letter said. Republicans say Democrats will ‘pay the price’ in midterms for passing massive spending bill

Republicans on Sunday heaped scorn on Democrats for passing a multibillion-dollar economic package, warning that it would come back to haunt them in the November midterms.
"Democrats will pay the price in November for raising taxes on families during a recession," Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement.
Her statement reflects criticism among Republicans that the Inflation Reduction Act will do the opposite of its intended purpose.

Mystery sinkhole ranks among deepest in the world
|

Hundreds of cubic feet of earth gave way to form a gigantic sinkhole measuring 600-plus feet deep, puzzling experts working to figure out what triggered the massive implosion.
A huge sinkhole measuring larger than a tennis court suddenly opened up near a copper mining operation in Chile, swallowing large chunks of soil, and investigators are trying to figure out what exactly triggered one of the largest ground collapses in the world.
The enormous pit in Tierra Amarilla, in the country’s Atacama Desert region, measures 105-feet-wide (32 meters) and about 650-feet-deep (200 meters), according to Chile’s National Geology and Mining Service, Sernageomin.
Hundreds of cubic feet of soil caved in on Saturday and investigators with Sernageomin were immediately called in. They visited the site to examine the hole and to determine what might have caused such a massive ground collapse. So far, it’s got them baffled.

Coming off several big primary wins this week for candidates he supported, the former president headed to Wisconsin Friday night to rally support for Tim Michels, a Republican candidate for governor. Trump then arrived in Texas where he headlined the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, which kicked off Thursday. The former president addressed the crowd Saturday evening and discussed a number of issues, with great emphasis on putting America first. "We will save our nation and American power, prosperity, and prestige will come back and it'll come back strongly. Victory cannot come a moment too soon," Trump declared.
The 45th president spoke about critical race and gender theory while promising to uphold parental rights for those with school children. "School prayer is banned but drag shows are allowed," Trump said. "You can't teach the Bible but you can teach children that America is evil and that men are able to get pregnant." He added, "We have to restore one standard of justice in America. If we do all this, if we stop the crime, secure the border, save the economy, defend our culture, and take back our democracy, then America first conservatives will be rewarded with a governing majority that will transform American politics forever," Trump pointed out.
"The radical left will be banished into political oblivion," he continued. "We will save our freedom, we will save our children, and we will save our country. But the task will not be easy. Together we are standing up to some of the most menacing forces, entrenched interests, and vicious opponents, our people, our country, has ever seen," Trump announced. He concluded with a rallying cry, "We will make America powerful again. We will make America wealthy again. We will make America strong again. We will make America proud again.
