Signs of Hope for Christianity in America, New Survey Reveals
There are plenty of surveys swirling about faith — or lack thereof — in America, but there are some encouraging new statistics offering rays of hope. A recently released survey from Barna Group found a majority of adults disagree with the claim the “church is not relevant in today’s world,” with 41% stating they “definitely disagree” with the sentiment and 24% saying they “somewhat disagree” with it. It’s worth noting the remainder either “somewhat” (22%) or “definitely” (13%) agreed with the claim.

The statistics came from the latest edition of the Barna Group’s State of the Church report. The data, compiled by Barna in conjunction with Gloo, was based on interviews with 1,532 American adults between Feb. 4-26. Among practicing Christians, the vast majority (79%) “definitely disagree” with the belief the church has become irrelevant. To the contrary, a plurality of non-Christians “somewhat agree” (32%) the church has become irrelevant while 26% “definitely agree.” While church attendance has been steadily declining for years, preliminary data from the Barna Group’s survey suggests that trend could be reversing course. - Abba Father, our hearts are encouraged to read the Barna Group survey showing even non-believers recognizing the relevance of the Church within our nation. We pray for a spiritual shift with a new hunger for righteousness within communities across America. May the Church become a powerful beacon of light causing unbelievers to desire Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior. Bring renewal of genuine-faith and Holy Spirit revival to swiftly sweep across the United States of America! By the Blood and powerful Name of Yeshua- Amen and Amen.

GOP state senator wins Florida special election, extends GOP House majority
The race was one of two special elections in Florida with broad implications over GOP power in Congress

Fine will be taking over former Congressman Mike Waltz's seat in Florida's 6th Congressional District, after Waltz vacated the seat to become President Donald Trump's National Security Advisor. Fine outlasted Democrat Josh Weil, a public school employee and political newcomer who raised nearly 10 times more than Fine.

Florida's sixth district, located on the Sunshine State's Atlantic coast from Daytona Beach to just south of Saint Augustine and inland to the outskirts of Ocala, was carried overwhelmingly by former GOP congressman Waltz in 2024. President Trump also won the 6th Congressional District in 2024 by a significant margin – 30 points.

Tuesday's victory notches one more seat in the House for Republicans, expanding their slim five-vote majority by one more.

Following Tuesday's victory President Trump took to social media to congratulate Fine and Fine thanked the President for his support. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Abba, we give You praise and thanksgiving that Randy Fine won his race for the seat in the House of Representatives from Florida.  We thank You that this seat extends the Republican majority making it easier to put President Trump's MAGA agenda in place.  Father God, as we move forward, we ask You to go before Your son, Donald, make the path smooth and straight, give him ears to hear Your voice alone, provide the revelation he needs to implement only those things that are Your intentions and not his own.  Holy Spirit, we ask You to send out your angels to smooth out the path in front of all DOGE workers, it feels very chaotic right now, downsizing always brings insecurity and upheaval.  Jesus, we ask You to pour out Your peace and rest, let hearts find you as they long for renewed security, let them call on Your name.  We ask this in the name Jehovah Shalom, The Lord Our Peace.

have peace.  In this world you will have

Trump’s Sweeping Tariffs to Take Effect Immediately After President’s Remarks on April 2,
White House Says

The sweeping new tariffs promised by President Donald Trump will go into effect immediately after their formal announcement on April 2, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

During a press briefing on April 1, Leavitt said the administration was prepared to move quickly in launching a new reciprocal trade policy aimed at countering decades of unfair foreign competition.

Leavitt said the administration intends to reward companies that manufacture in the United States.

“If you make your product in America, you will pay no tariffs,” she said.

She added later in remarks, “If they want to be absolved of that tariff—then they can come here to the United States of America to do business [and] bring their jobs here.”

The tariffs will apply broadly across sectors and are aimed at countries the administration accuses of engaging in protectionist trade practices. (The Epoch Times) Read more.

- Abba, thank You that President Trump is hearing Your voice as he implements new economic policies that will make America great again.  We thank You for his business mind, for his ability to see and understand how specific plans will impact our economy.  Lord, You said in Your word that You have called him to this assignment and You will help him succeed.  We claim that promise right now and ask that tariffs will accomplish exactly what he is anticipating they will do.  We decree and declare that all negative words or plans sent out against him are now null and void, in the Name of Jesus!   We ask this in the name Jehovah Jireh, The Lord Will Provide.

Trump Says Agency Heads Will Work With DOGE After Elon Musk Leaves

The president on Monday provided an update on DOGE and Musk.

President Donald Trump said adviser Elon Musk will eventually have to depart from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and go back to running his companies.

The president told reporters on Monday in the Oval Office that agency heads will continue to work with DOGE and carry out its mission after Musk leaves.

“I think he’s amazing, but I also think he’s got a big company to run, and so at some point he’s going to be going back,” Trump said. Musk is the chief executive of Tesla and SpaceX and owner of social media platform X.

“He wants to. I’d keep him as long as I could keep him,” Trump said.

During an exchange with reporters in the Oval Office, Trump was asked whether DOGE can “keep operating even without Elon here?”

“Well, I can’t tell you that,” Trump responded. “I can say this, that a lot of the people working with DOGE are the secretaries, the heads of the various agencies, and they’ve learned a lot.”

“I think some of them may try and keep the DOGE people with them, but you know, at a certain point, I think it will end,” he added.

Musk is classified as a special government employee, which allows him to skirt certain requirements and disclosure agreements that would be mandated if he were a federal employee. The classification, however, means that he will have to step down from his position after 130 days, which Musk noted during an interview last week.

“I think we will have accomplished most of the work required to reduce the deficit by a trillion dollars within that timeframe,” Musk told Fox, referring to the 130-day deadline, which falls in late May. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Abba, thank You for all that Elon Musk has done financially for our nation through DOGE.  Thank You for all the wisdom and insight that he and his team have shared with those responsible for managing our governmental departments. We ask You to allow all this knowledge to empower a new understanding of how financial processes should work and the protections needed to prevent waste and inappropriate use of taxpayers money.  Father God, we ask You to bless Elon as he returns to running his own businesses. We ask that Tesla, SpaceX and X will once again flourish as they did under his watchful eye.  We ask this in the name EL Roi, The God Who Sees, everything.

Supreme Court divided over state effort to defund Planned Parenthood
The Supreme Court is split over whether or not a state has the ability to block Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood

The Supreme Court appeared divided Wednesday over whether a state can block Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood clinics, in a technical interpretation over healthcare choices that has become a larger political fight over abortion access.

In nearly two hours of oral arguments, the court's conservative majority offered measured support for South Carolina's position.

The specific issue is whether low-income Medicaid patients can sue in order to choose their own qualified healthcare provider. The federal-state program has shared responsibility for funding and administering it, through private healthcare providers.

Federal law bans taxpayer money from going to fund almost all abortions, but Planned Parenthood also provides a range of other medical services with and without Medicaid subsidies, including gynecological care and cancer screenings.

Much of the court session dealt with whether Planned Parenthood was a "qualified provider" under the Medicaid law, and whether individual patients have an unambiguous "right" to sue to see their provider of choice, under its specific language.

"It seems a little bit odd to think that a problem that motivated Congress to pass this provision was that states were limiting the choices people had," said Justice Sonia Sotomayor. "It seems hard to understand that states didn't understand that they had to give individuals the right to choose a provider."

"The state has an obligation to ensure that a person... has a right to choose their doctor," added Justice Elena Kagan. "It's impossible to even say the thing without using the word 'right.'"

But some conservative justices questioned how to interpret a provision that does not contain the word "right."

"One can imagine a statute written as an individual benefit that's mandatory on the states but isn't right-creating" for the patient, said Justice Neil Gorsuch. "I mean, that's an imaginable scenario."

Justice Samuel Alito added it was "something that's quite extraordinary" to give individuals that right to sue under the Constitution's spending clause.

The votes of Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Amy Coney Barrett could be key: They asked tough questions of both sides. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father God, it seems that when a matter goes before the "court of law," the issues at hand get twisted and are lost in the arguments. This case is a matter of choosing and defending LIFE, and nothing else. We pray that between now and when the justices spend the next few months writing their opinions, all would see the light of TRUTH clearly and rule accordingly. In Your Name, Abba, we offer this prayer, amen and amen!

- "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Katz says offensive aimed at seizing ‘extensive territory,’ as IDF pounds south Gaza - Times of Israel

Defense Minister Israel Katz announced Wednesday morning that Israel is expanding operations in Gaza, following extensive overnight strikes in the southern part of the enclave.

Troops will move to clear areas “of terrorists and infrastructure, and capture extensive territory that will be added to the State of Israel’s security areas,” Katz said in a statement.

The IDF deployed another division to the southern Gaza Strip early in the day as part of the expansion of the offensive against Hamas. (Read more)

2. PM: IDF seizing ‘2nd Philadelphi’ route, cutting off Rafah from Khan Younis to squeeze Hamas into freeing hostages - Times of Israel

Israel is “shifting gears” in Gaza and creating a “second Philadelphi” route, says Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, referring to the corridor on the Gaza-Egypt border.

IDF forces are seizing the “Morag axis,” says Netanyahu. The route, which separates Rafah from Khan Younis to its north, is located where the Israeli settlement once stood before it was evacuated during Israel’s 2005 withdrawal from Gaza.

Netanyahu has made continued Israeli control of the Philadelphi route a top priority in the ongoing ceasefire negotiations, insisting that IDF withdrawal from the corridor will allow for the smuggling of weapons into the Strip. Nonetheless, he agreed as part of the January hostage deal to fully withdraw Israeli troops from the Philadelphi Corridor by the 50th day of the deal — a clause Israel has gone on to violate. Israeli troops remain in the corridor and have expanded their presence there as well. (Read more)

3. 'Changing gears' | Netanyahu: 'We are taking control of the Morag Corridor in Gaza' - Israel National News

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a statement on Wednesday about Israel's intensifying operations in the Gaza Strip and announced that Israel will take control of an additional corridor.

"Last night in the Gaza Strip, we changed gears. The IDF is taking territory, hitting terrorists, and destroying infrastructure. We are also doing something else: We are seizing the Morag Corridor. This will be the second Philadelphi, an additional Philadelphi Corridor."

He explained that the reason for this is that "we are now dividing the Strip and increasing the pressure step by step, so that they will give us our hostages. And as long as they do not give them to us, the pressure will increase until they do." (Read more)

4. Pressure Mounts on UN Members to Block Reappointment of Controversial Anti-Israel Official - Algemeiner

The United Nations is facing growing pressure to block the reappointment of Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, who has an extensive history of using her role to denigrate Israel and seemingly rationalize the terrorist group Hamas’s attacks against the Jewish state.

The UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is set to reappoint Albanese for another three-year term on Friday, despite calls from several countries and NGOs urging UN members to oppose her reappointment due to her controversial remarks and alleged pro-Hamas stance.

Since taking on the role of UN special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories in 2022, Albanese has been at the center of controversy due to what critics, including US and European lawmakers, have described as antisemitic and anti-Israel public remarks. (Read more)

5. 3-year-old discovers 3,800-year-old treasure during a family outing in Israel
- NBC News

She could have picked up any old stone from the thousands in the ruins of Tel Azeka, an ancient town in Israel. Instead, 3-year-old Ziv Nitzan pulled out a 3,800-year-old treasure from the Middle Bronze age.

“When she rubbed it and removed the sand from it, we saw something was different about it,” Ziv’s sister Omer Nitzan said in a Facebook post released Tuesday by Israel’s Antiquities Authority. “I called my parents to come see the beautiful stone, and we realized we had discovered an archaeological find.”

“Scarabs were used in this period as seals and as amulets. They were found in graves, in public buildings and in private homes. Sometimes they bear symbols and messages, that reflect religious beliefs or status,” Daphna Ben-Tor, an Egyptologist, said in the Facebook post. (Read more

1.Melania Trump honors International Women of Courage Award winners who 'refused to let fear or hardship define them' - Post Millennial

First Lady Melania Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio hosted the 2025 International Women of Courage Awardceremony on Tuesday, in which eight womenfrom around the world were celebrated for their exceptional courage, strength, and leadership.

Speaking at the ceremony, the First Lady spoke on harnessing the power of love as a "source of strength during challenging times." "Love has inspired me to embrace forgiveness, nurture empathy, and exhibit bravery in the face of unforeseen obstacles. Today, we celebrate courage, a strength that is based in love."

Trump highlighted one of the award recipients, Georgiana Pascu of Romania, saying, "Georgiana is a watchdog who defends the dignity of Romanians, who voices cannot be heard. She fearlessly enters facilities designated as care centers to rescue people with disabilities who are unwittingly held captive." Pascu’s work has led to dozens of people being charged with human trafficking, exploitation, and organized crime. (Read more)
- Thank you Lord for our First Lady. We plead the blood of Jesus over her and her family that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. As we read about the celebration of those who have endured hardship, let it be a reminder to us to always press forward in hardships, no matter what we are facing. We know we can triumph through all with your help. Amen.

2. Americans Reject Claim Church Is ‘Irrelevant’ - Million Voices

A survey published in March by the Barna Group found that most Americans reject the claim that the church has become irrelevant.

The survey found that 41% of adults “definitely” do not agree with the statement “Church is not relevant in today’s world.” Among practicing Christians, 79% “definitely disagree” with the statement, with 9% “somewhat disagree[ing],” suggesting the Bible is still a significant part of the lived American experience, correlating with an uptick in all generations finding faith.

“Weekly church attendance has experienced a gradual decline over the past two decades, but recent Barna data tracking shows signs of hope. Attendance peaked at 48 percent of U.S. adults in 2009, declined to 27 percent by 2017 and stood at 28 percent by 2024,” the report noted. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray for wisdom and guidance as our friends, neighbors, peers, colleagues and others choose faith and freedom in the season ahead. Help those who need You, find You. Let us all be your light in guiding others in this continued Great American Revival. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

3. Immigrants Argue That 2,100,000 Non-Citizens Getting Social Security Numbers Is Major Concern - Million Voices

Legal immigrant Elon Musk and second-generation immigrant, Valor Equity Partner’s Antonio Gracias, went viral Sunday, for revealing that an estimated 2.1 million non-citizens received Social Security numbers in 2024, up from 270,000 in 2021.

A video shared on X showed Musk and Gracias on stage discussing the data at a 100-minute town hall in Green Bay, Wisconsin, ahead of today’s (April 1) state Supreme Court election, according to Business Insider.

“This isn’t political,” Gracias explained about the data, noting that his parents and siblings are all first-generation immigrant and that he is pro-legal immigration. The issue appeared to be within a process that allowed non-legal immigrants arriving over the northern and southern borders to apply to work permits and immediately receive a Social Security number without an interview or even showing a form of identification, MoneyControl reported. - Lord God, we pray for the hearts, souls, and minds of all those working to secure our border, and fighting to end this crisis and heal those who have suffered through it. Please protect all of us from the political weaponization of this humanitarian disaster and help focus our power on solving it. Amen.

4. Colorado Bill Would Classify ‘Misgendering,’ ‘Deadnaming,’ as Child Abuse, Impact Parental Rights, Custody Cases - Breitbart

Colorado Democrats are proposing a bill that would classify “misgendering” and “deadnaming” as forms of child abuse, or “coercive control,” that would be considered in child custody disputes.

The bill, HB25-1312, was introduced on Friday and is set to go before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday. The bill’s sponsors are Democrat Reps. Lorena García, Rebekah Stewart Faith Winter, and Sen. Chris Kolker.

The bill subscribes to the false idea that one can identify as or become a different sex than they were born as, often called “gender identity.” The bill defines “deadname” as “to purposefully, and with the intent to disregard the individual’s gender identity or gender expression, refer to an individual by their birth name rather than their chosen name.” The bill defines “misgender” as “to purposefully, and with the intent to disregard the individual’s gender identity or gender expression, refer to an individual using an honorific or pronoun that conflicts with the individual’s gender identity or gender expression.” (Read more)
- We cast down this foul, wicked agenda, that it will not make any headway in the name of Jesus Christ. We come against all the evil spirits and principalities working through this bill to cause division, separation, chaos, confusion, and we declare that it cease right now in Jesus name. Press upon your people, Lord by your spirit to stand up for parental rights and to preserve the nuclear family unit which you have created and have called perfect, that it would stand strong in this nation, in Jesus' name, amen.

- "Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain." (Philippians 2:14-16)

5. Biden-Appointed Judge Blocks Trump from Defunding Free Lawyers for Migrants - Breitbart

A federal judge, born in Mexico and appointed by President Joe Biden, has blocked President Donald Trump from defunding free lawyers for Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs). In February, as Breitbart News reported, the Trump administration paused funding for the Acacia Center for Justice — a non-governmental organization (NGO) that provides free lawyers to tens of thousands of UACs hoping to stay in the United States using millions in American taxpayer dollars.

Late on Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Araceli Martinez Olguin, who was born in Mexico City and was appointed by Biden, became the latest federal judge to block Trump from carrying out his “America First” agenda.

“The Court additionally finds that the continued funding of legal representation for unaccompanied children promotes efficiency and fairness within the immigration system,” Olguin writes. (Read more)
- Lord, we just pray for each and every judge that is acting based on an agenda versus on the law. We pray that each one would choose to uphold righteousness in this land in the name of Jesus. We pray that these judges would have a change of heart and choose to serve the American people responsibly. May they take care of our tax dollars, as they work for our nation and not a foreign country. Lastly, we pray that the "American first" idea be supported by every representative and judge to make our country a better place, in the mighty name of Jesus we pray, amen.

- “But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” (1 Timothy 5:8)

Stupidocrisy: The Friendly Unfriendly

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, April 2, 2025

A recent trip to England for our son’s wedding revealed a lot about international relations. From the time we landed, going through Heathrow airport and into the Uber to our hotel, we were bombarded with London’s version of National Public Radio and London talk shows. They were weighted heavily toward what’s going on politically in the United States. Trump trying to broker peace between Ukraine and Russia; Trump levying tariffs against trading partners; Even the electronic billboards along the highway were showing pictures of Trump in the news. Trump’s Middle East policy; Trump’s economic policies; Trump this and Trump that. It seemed like the Brits were obsessed with Trump. And it wasn’t in a good way.

One program focused on how Trump had struck fear among the LGBTQ-rest of the alphabet-people. The news anchor interviewed an open homosexual about the fears he felt because of Trump’s two-gender policy. Irrationally, the guest “expert” explained how he felt Trump’s actions threatened the well-being, even the lives, of those in the queer community. Of course, he had no clear examples of any queer person being attacked or killed because of Trump, but the fear-mongering was very clear. The world no longer holds any safe place for the queer community because of Trump. The anchor concluded that while he was straight, he definitely believed the world was a much more dangerous place for queers because of Trump. Read More

District judges' orders blocking Trump agenda face hearing in top Senate committee
Chairman Chuck Grassley unveiled a bill to tackle the issue this week

The Senate Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing to examine the influx of nationwide orders against the Trump administration by federal district judges.

Last week, Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, revealed the details of the event, set one day after the House committee's hearing on the same subject.

"Since the courts and the executive branch are on an unsustainable collision course, Congress must step in and provide clarity," he said in a statement last week. "Our hearings will explore legislative solutions to bring the balance of power back in check."

After revealing details of the hearing, Grassley rolled out his own bill to tackle the issue.

"These nationwide injunctions have become a favorite tool for those seeking to obstruct Mr. Trump’s agenda," he wrote in an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal. "More than two-thirds of all universal injunctions issued over the past 25 years were levied against the first Trump administration. In the past two months alone, judges have issued at least 15 universal injunctions against the administration—surpassing the 14 President Biden faced throughout his four-year term."

Grassley's legislation would restrain the lower courts' ability to issue nationwide orders, and they would no longer be able to stop "legitimate executive action" by granting orders to entities or individuals who are not parties to the lawsuit.

While similar bills have been introduced by Grassley's GOP colleagues in both the Senate and House, it is unclear whether the issue will get floor votes, as it would need to amass more than 60 votes in the upper chamber to beat the filibuster.

"Unlawful Nationwide Injunctions by Radical Left Judges could very well lead to the destruction of our Country!" the president said in a recent Truth Social post. "These people are Lunatics, who do not care, even a little bit, about the repercussions from their very dangerous and incorrect Decisions and Rulings."

"If Justice Roberts and the United States Supreme Court do not fix this toxic and unprecedented situation IMMEDIATELY, our Country is in very serious trouble!" he continued. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Abba, our nation needs Your help, radical judges are doing everything they can to stop President Trump's MAGA agenda from being implemented.  Father God, we ask You to intervene and bring about a legal decision to stop this from happening again.  We ask You to bring all information necessary during the Senate hearings to build a case for this type of overreach to be stopped and prohibited within the court system.  Holy Spirit, pour the fear of the Lord into the hearts of these judges, give them an awareness of Your perspective of their actions, give them good reason to rethink their decisions.  We ask this in the name Jehovah Sabaoth, The Host of Heaven's Armies.

‘Wide-scale domestic terrorism’: Elon Musk urges authorities ‘go after the generals’ behind Tesla attacks
Anti-Tesla protests, violence have surged since Musk took the helm at DOGE

Amid a wave of violence against Tesla vehicles, showrooms and charging stations, Department of Government Efficiency chief Elon Musk labeled the attacks as "wide-scale domestic terrorism" and demanded authorities "go after the generals" behind the violence.

Reports of Tesla-related incidents have been increasing nationwide, ranging from minor vandalism, such as keying or graffiti, to more extreme cases like arson and drive-by shootings allegedly targeting Tesla vehicles.

Over the weekend, anti-Musk protesters saw one of their biggest shows of force as the decentralized movement known as Tesla Takedown planned a "Global Day of Action" targeting more than 500 Tesla locations worldwide.

"This is fundamentally a case of terrorism. It's wide-scale domestic terrorism with the purpose of intimidation, and it's harming innocent people. It's really terrible," Musk said Tuesday on "The Five."

"What we actually have to get to are the people who are organizing and paying for these attacks and protests. That's who we really need to go after, because the people that were actually throwing the Molotov cocktails — they're the foot soldiers, but we need to go after the generals."

"The president has made it very clear that we're going to go after those that are paying and organizing these violent attacks, and Attorney General Bondi has said the same thing. I believe that that is exactly what will happen," Musk said, adding the administration knows who these "generals" are.

In response to the nationwide violence, the FBI launched a task force to investigate attacks on Tesla owners. FBI Director Kash Patel posted on X, formerly Twitter, that the incidents are being treated as "domestic terrorism."

The Tesla chief executive rebuked the "incredible hypocrites" within the legacy media and Democratic Party, arguing that the rhetoric of DOGE critics has fueled anger against Tesla and its supporters.

"I find it ironic and incredibly hypocritical that the same Democrat politicians who would want to throw someone in prison for 20 years simply for watching things at January 6, but not actually doing any violence, you don't hear a single word from them about the actual violence happening against Tesla," he said. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord, we pray for justice in this situation. We pray that the authorities and those in position of power would take cases like this seriously to set a precedent to protesters, rioters, and the rest of the country that we do not tolerate this kind of destruction and chaos. We pray peace and protection over our nation that no harm or evil can prevail in Jesus name amen.

Israel Eliminates Tariffs on US Imports Ahead of Trump’s ‘Liberation Day’

Israeli Finance Minister who has signed the order, said the decision aims to safeguard Israel’s economy and strengthen international relations.

Israel has announced it is eliminating all remaining tariffs on U.S. imports, hours before the Trump administration is set to implement sweeping reciprocal levies against its global trading partners.

The decision, revealed on Tuesday by Israeli officials, still requires final approval from Economy Minister Nir Barkat and the Parliament’s finance committee, though both are expected to support the measure.

“Tariffs on all imports from the United States will be cancelled,” the prime minister’s office said in a statement.

The timing appears deliberately calculated to avoid potential economic consequences as President Donald Trump prepares for what his administration has dubbed “Liberation Day” on April 2, when new tariff rates will be announced worldwide.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who has signed the order to end the tariffs, said the decision aims to safeguard Israel’s economy and strengthen international relations.

“Completely eliminating tariffs on imports from the U.S. is a significant step in safeguarding the Israeli economy during a sensitive period and strengthening economic ties with our most important ally—the United States,” Smotrich said in a joint statement with Barkat and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Volcano erupts in Iceland, forcing evacuations of nearby town and Blue Lagoon resort
The eruption poses a threat to Grindavik, with experts warning that lava could reach inhabited areas.

A volcanic eruption in southwest Iceland Tuesday forced the evacuation of the town of Grindavík and the nearby Blue Lagoon spa and resort, as lava and smoke poured from a newly opened fissure.

Thought for the Day
"For the Lord loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off."

(Psalm 37:28)
A Special Message
The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
