United We Stand                        Sept. 17, 2022
Saturday, September 17 is Constitution Day, the day we celebrate the founding document that has guided America for more than 200 years. It has set us apart from other democracies around the world as a Constitutional Republic. It is incredibly important for our youth (and adults!) to know and understand, how it is intended to protect our rights, and how we can hold our elected officials accountable. Our Founders created the most remarkable Constitution in the world as a safeguard for our God-given rights–but we must remember John Adams’ warning: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” We created a free Constitution e-book for you to read and share.

Judge Names Special Master to Review FBI Raid Documents, Rejects DOJ Criminal Probe Request

Florida-based U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon on Thursday appointed a senior Brooklyn federal judge to serve as special master to independently review documents the FBI seized from former President Donald Trump‘s Florida estate.

U.S. District Judge Raymond Dearie will serve as an independent arbiter in the case, tasked with deciding whether any of the seized documents are privileged and should be off limits to federal investigators.

Cannon, who was nominated by Trump in 2020, also rejected the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) bid to revive its criminal investigation into classified documents seized during the unprecedented raid at Mar-a-Lago last month. The matter is expected to move quickly to an appeals court, and potentially the U.S. Supreme Court.

The DOJ said in a court filing (pdf) on Monday that Dearie has “substantial judicial experience” in cases involving national security and privilege concerns to qualify him for the special master role, but that it opposed private attorney Paul Huck, the other candidate proposed by Trump’s lawyers. (Epoch Times) Read more.
- Father God, we thank You for the appointment of U.S. District Judge Raymond Dearie to serve as the Special Master in this case. We ask that Your hand of protection to rest upon him, his family, and all members of his staff as he weighs the evidence that will be set before him. May Your grace surround him, and Your wisdom guide him as he now pursues the role
in front of him. In Your name we pray, amen and amen.

- "Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne;
Mercy and truth go before Your face."

Martha's Vineyard Cries 'Urgent Humanitarian Situation' After DeSantis Sends Two Planeloads of Illegal Aliens

The swanky Massachusetts island of Martha’s Vineyard is begging for volunteers to help handle an “urgent humanitarian situation” after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis flew two planeloads of illegal aliens into the swanky town.

Local WBZ-TV News Anchor David Wade posted to Twitter that Dukes County is putting out calls for “clinical and non-clinical” workers to help deal with the influx if undocumented migrants who’ve been dumped in their backyard.

“Emergency officials on Martha's Vineyard are now asking for volunteers to help with the ‘unexpected urgent humanitarian situation,’” Wade posted.

According to local reports, roughly 50 migrants got off the planes at the local airport and literally began wandering the streets until they found city buildings and were met by local officials. At first, they told authorities they'd come in from Texas, creating confusion when the Florida governor's office released a statement taking credit for sending the flights.

In the statement, DeSantis claimed the group had been flown in from Florida and was “part of the state’s relocation program to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary destinations,” adding, “States like Massachusetts, New York, and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country by incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as ‘sanctuary states’ and support for the Biden Administration’s open border policies.”

Local officials in Martha’s Vineyard, a popular presidential vacation spot and home to a number of politicians including former President Barack Obama, said they didn’t have any warning that the flights were coming. The town reportedly had to enlist the help of a Spanish-speaker from a local high school to help communicate with the migrants, who are reportedly from Venezuela and don’t speak English.

- Lord God, we thank You for this brilliant move by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis! Now that these 50 migrants have been transported to Martha's Vineyard, we pray that those in authority in that city will know how to help them next. In Your Name, amen and amen!

2022 Congressional Elections
GUBERNATORIAL GENERAL ELECTION
November 8, 2022
VOTER GUIDES FOR EVERY STATE
  • Confused for whom to vote?
  • Do candidates have your Judeo-Christian values?
  • How would you know?
It's simple.
FIRST: Find out if your candidate signed
The Families First Pledge. If you don't see their name, maybe they were not presented the Pledge or they did not seek the faith-based community vote. Key Point: The non-negotiable social issues are as important if not more than fiscal issue only candidates.

SECOND: Use the variety of
biblical voter guides listed under your state. Contrast and compare from well-known resources to make your educated voting decision.

THIRD: Thank you for voting! And, please consider not mailing your ballot but hand-delivering it to your vote center. Chain of custody is an issue. The fewer hands are touching your ballot the safer your vote. Find your
polling or vote center.
In Context: Corruption vs. Integrity
This week did not turn out to be the week the U.S. Senate voted on same-sex marriage. Democratic Majority Leader Schumer wants to give negotiators more time, specifically until after the election, to win more Republican votes.

Leader Schumer is
framing the issue as preserving “marriage equality” and describing everything before the 2015 Obergefell decision as “marriage discrimination.”

Another way to frame it as a Nation having had marriage integrity, and now having marriage corruption.

It's always possible to frame any side of any issue as a positive. The question is not what sounds good, but rather, what matches up to the Truth in the Word of God.

Please keep the retiring Republican Senators in your prayers as it relates to that pending vote during a possible post-election lame duck session during this Congress. Truly, some of these Senators know not what they eternally do.
  • Alabama — Richard Shelby
  • Missouri — Roy Blunt
  • North Carolina — Richard Burr
  • Ohio — Rob Portman
  • Oklahoma — Jim Inhofe
  • Pennsylvania — Pat Toomey

Father, let these Senators be gripped by the gravity of what they do, and may they not listen to lies, but to You and Your Word and Your Truth.

“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” (Ephesians 4:29)

From the floor colloquy:
Next week, Mr. Speaker, the House will consider S. 1098, the Joint Consolidation Loan Separation Act, bipartisan legislation sponsored by Representative David Price and Senator Mark Warner to provide relief to borrowers who need to separate their joint consolidation student loans. This legislation would greatly benefit the individual borrowers who are most in need of relief, including victims of abuse.

The House may also consider a continuing resolution. As all of us know, on September 30, at midnight, the government's ability to fund and operate goes out of authorization; therefore, it is necessary for us to take action before September 30, and we may do that next week.

The House may also consider legislation to reform the Electoral Count Act from Representatives Zoe Lofgren and Liz Cheney.

The House will consider bills under suspension of the rules. The complete list of suspension bills will be announced by the close of business tomorrow.

As is usual, as we come very close to ending and then have a substantial period of time, October and the first and second week in November for the election, it is common that we may have other pieces of legislation, Mr. Speaker, available and necessary to pass. We will notify Members as soon as we have that information.

Our Weekly Call to Repentance

CHPP Welcomes You to Join Us Every Week in One Hour of Repentance

Sunday evening at 10:00 p.m. EDT
Dial 717-908-1983
Access Code: 9301470#

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to  "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

717-908-1983
Access Code: 9301470#

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
(2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
