Senior NIH expert pushes back on growing vaccine mandates
Matthew Memoli favors vaccinations in vulnerable populations but argues population level vaccination could hinder the development of a natural, robust immunity gained through infection.

An unvaccinated doctor who heads a research team at the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) is leading a debate within the National Institute of Health (NIH) over the ethics of COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

Matthew Memoli, a 16-year veteran at the NIH, will argue against vaccine mandates in a Dec. 1 live-streamed roundtable session over the ethics of mandates, which will be open for viewing within the agency, to patients and to the public, The Wall Street Journal reported

“There’s a lot of debate within the NIH about whether [a vaccine mandate] is appropriate,” David Wendler, a senior NIH bioethicist in charge of planning the session, told WSJ. “It’s an important, hot topic.”

An appeals court on Saturday temporarily stopped President Biden’s mandate requiring employers to verify employee vaccination or ensure weekly testing.

Memoli reportedly wrote in an email to NIAID Director Anthony Fauci in July that he found mandated vaccinations “extraordinarily problematic.”

“I think the way we are using the vaccines is wrong,” he told Fauci. (The Hill)  Read more.

- Lord God, we thank You that more and more whistleblowers are now emerging who have valid, medical credentials and who are speaking the truth about the dangers of taking these vaccines. We ask that You protect Dr. Memoli and his family from any retaliation, and we ask that many more medical professionals would join him in raising voices of concern about these policies. Let TRUTH reign, Father God, in Your name, amen and amen.

- "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”    (John 8:32)
Gov. Newsom Injured by Moderna Booster Shot
CA Governor Gavin Newsom
A source close to California Gov. Gavin Newsom today told The Defender the governor experienced an adverse reaction to the Moderna COVID vaccine he received Oct. 27, the last day he was seen in public.

A source close to California Gov. Gavin Newsom today told The Defender the governor experienced an adverse reaction to the Moderna COVID vaccine he received Oct. 27. The source, who asked not to be identified, said Newsom’s symptoms were similar to those associated with Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS), a known side effect of many vaccines.

GBS is a neurological disorder in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks part of its peripheral nervous system — the network of nerves located outside of the brain and spinal cord — and can range from a very mild case with brief weakness to paralysis to leaving the person unable to breathe independently.

The governor has not been seen in public since he was photographed Oct. 27 getting his COVID booster.

Commenting on the situation, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., chairman of Children’s Health Defense, today said he “prays for Newsom’s family” and wishes him a quick recovery.

Kennedy added:

“However, if it’s true the governor has suffered debilitating neurological injuries following vaccination, it raises grave ethical questions about his seemingly dishonest efforts to conceal his injuries while implementing aggressive policies to force the children and working people of California to endure similar risks.”

Newsom has been an outspoken advocate of COVID vaccines and mandates. On Oct. 1, he announced California’s schoolchildren will be required to get the COVID vaccine once it is fully approved by the FDA. It’s the first such mandate in the country. (Read more)

- Father God, first we ask for healing for Governor Newsom, but we also
ask that this tragedy would be used to turn his heart towards truth. We
ask for Your perfect will in this matter, so that these mandate laws would
be reversed in the State of California and all would be free to make their
own decisions regarding these vaccines. We decree Romans 8:28 over this matter, in Your Name, Holy One, amen and amen.

- "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."          (Romans 8:28)
Appeals court re-affirms stay on Biden workplace vaccine mandate, cites 'severe' risks
Attorney General Ken Paxton

A federal appeals court reaffirmed its decision Friday to enact a stay on President Biden’s workplace vaccination mandate following a legal challenge from Texas and several other states.

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ordered the U.S. Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration to "take no steps to implement or enforce the Mandate until further court order." The decision was the latest development in what is expected to be a lengthy legal battle over the mandate’s legality.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a vocal critic of the workplace vaccine mandate, lauded the court’s decision on Twitter.

"Citing Texas's "compelling argument[s]," the 5th Circuit has delayed OSHA's unconstitutional and illegal private-business vaccine mandate. WE WON! Litigation will continue, but this is a massive victory for Texas and for FREEDOM from Biden's tyranny and lawlessness," Paxton wrote. (Read more)  Source: Fox News

In Context: In Everything Give Thanks
Congress is set to return for its full November week in session. The next three weeks could define or redefine America.

The second of those three weeks is the most important.

One of the longest traditions in American history is the setting aside of a day for giving thanks to God for his many blessings upon us and upon our Nation. Other traditions have built up around this holiday, but the importance of its core purpose remains.

Throughout the Scriptures, the one thing God desires most in response to His many blessings and gifts is thanks. He doesn’t want repayment, and we couldn’t pay Him enough anyway. It’s a surprisingly simple desire, yet also one we easily forget.

He also wants thanks in everything at all times. Whether we’re breaking down or building up, laughing or mourning, gaining or losing, in war or in peace, there is always something for which we can give thanks to God.

What if God were to only allow us to retain only that for which we have given Him thanks in Jesus’ name? Do we remember the blessings of Liberty He showered on this Nation? Are we thankful for our Constitution and its institutions?

This is not a majority view. Many would rather stand in judgment of Congress, giving their approval or disapproval, than in gratitude for Congress, its Members, and the freedom we have to seek the Lord in our lawmaking.

Every Member of Congress sees what they are doing as being right in their eyes. If it’s not right in God’s eyes, who is responsible for that: those who have the Word of God or those who don’t?

There is a message of Good News, salvation in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that all need to hear. There is teaching from the Word of God about the purposes of government that our leaders need to know. If we don’t approach them with love, we have nothing and are nothing.

The first step in loving our neighbor, including those in power, is to be thankful for them and to them directly whether we agree with them or not. You don’t have to vote for them, have voted for them or be planning to vote for them. Whoever they are, right now, God has them where they are, and we can be grateful for them and the institutions in which they serve.

In everything give thanks.

Father, we thank you for your many blessings on this Nation, both in form and in substance. We thank you for the wisdom you gave our Founding Fathers to separate and divide powers among men into separate institutions. We ask you to continue the work you started in this Nation, even as Congress has much to do for the year. We ask that Your Name and Your Word would go forth in and from this Nation for your greater glory, in Jesus' name.

“Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:18-20)

Access Code: 150411#

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to  "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411#

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
(2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
