Members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) march during the annual military parade marking the anniversary of the outbreak of the 1980-1988 war with Iraq, in the capital Tehran.

US said to mull nixing Trump’s listing of Iran Revolutionary Guards as terror group

Decision would be coupled with announcement that US reserves right to re-designate IRGC if it returns to nefarious activity in region; Israel said briefed on possibility

The US is reportedly weighing a move to delist Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terror organization, as it moves closer to reviving the nuclear agreement with Tehran.

Axios reported that in return, Tehran would commit to de-escalation in the region.

The IRGC, a hardline militia with close ties to Iran’s supreme leader, was designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization by former president Donald Trump’s administration after it withdrew from the 2015 nuclear agreement officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

But the move is seen as a key final ask from Iran before it agrees to return to compliance with JCPOA. It would also be heavily unpopular among Republicans as well as hawkish Democrats in Congress.

As part of such a move, the Biden administration is considering including an announcement stating that it reserves the right to re-designate the IRGC if it does not uphold its pledge, Axios reported.

Israeli officials told the website that Washington has briefed Jerusalem on the matter, but that no decisions have been made. (Times of Israel)  Read more.

- Lord God, we ask that Biden would make no move outside of Your will, especially in all matters related to Israel's dangerous enemy, Iran. We ask that the blinders would come off of the eyes of this administration, so they can see evil where it exists. In Your Name, amen and amen.

- "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; . . ."

(Isaiah 5:20)

Show Us The Transcript
President Biden and communist China’s Xi Jinping talked by phone this morning. Too bad there wasn’t anyone on the call effectively representing the United States. It must have been an awkward call. Did Biden ask Xi for an update on how Hunter Biden’s financial interests in China are doing? Did Xi thank Biden for ending the Trump era program going after Chinese spies on our university campuses?

Isn’t there one patriot in our U.S. intelligence agencies who listen in on these calls who could leak the transcript to us the way the content of Trump’s calls with foreign leaders would get leaked? Anyone? Anyone?

(Wisconsin) Democrats Sue to Disqualify 3 GOP Congressmen From 2022 Ballot, Alleging Role in Insurrection, Election Manipulation
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) speaks at the start of a Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing on the governments response to the CCP virus outbreak in Washington on March 5, 2020.
Conservative senator calls partisan lawsuit 'total nonsense'

Democratic Party activists in Wisconsin have filed a suit in federal court arguing that a pro-Trump senator and two pro-Trump congressmen should be barred from office for speaking out on 2020 election irregularities and allegedly attempting to manipulate the congressional certification of the presidential election results.

The Wisconsin Republican lawmakers targeted by the suit are two-term Sen. Ron Johnson, two-term Rep. Tom Tiffany, and freshman Rep. Scott Fitzgerald. All are seeking reelection in November.

The suit claims the lawmakers cannot serve in Congress because the disqualification clause in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment forbids it. That rarely invoked constitutional provision was enacted in the wake of the Civil War to keep former Confederates out of Congress.

Johnson dismissed the lawsuit, telling The Epoch Times it is “total nonsense.”    (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Father God, we agree with Senator Johnson's opinion that this lawsuit is "total nonsense." We ask that these allegations be thrown out of court, before
they see the light of day; and that these three legislators will be vindicated. In Your Name, amen.

- "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)
Protecting the sunshine with our clocks
In 2007, Rep. Bill Sali of Idaho gave a speech on the House floor in which he suggested an “Obesity Reduction and Health Promotion Act” proposing “that the force of gravity by the force of Congress be reduced by 10 percent.”

He didn't introduce the bill, but he was making a point about the futility of defying natural law even as some in Congress sometime seem to think, as he put it, “The force of Congress can be brought to bear and justified to suspend those natural laws which would otherwise control important matters.”

Congress has never managed to change the law of gravity, but it is trying to change when the sun rises and sets.

This week, the Senate passed S. 623 which is actually called the “Sunshine Protection Act.” It's a bill to stop the changing of the clocks and make Daylight Saving Time permanent.

By changing our clocks, we're just taking an hour of daylight away from a.m. and giving it to p.m.  We pretend 11 a.m. is noon. There's still about the same amount of daylight the day before DST begins or ends as there is the day after. The sun isn't setting any later than it otherwise would.

Everyone is just doing everything earlier while pretending it's an hour later. S. 623 is short, and the bulk of the bill text is dedicated to basically crossing out numbers on the clock and writing in different ones.

If there's only 9 hours of daylight (or less) at some times in some places, and we're pretending 11 a.m. is noon, then sunrise is at 8:30 a.m. Anyone arriving to school by 7:30 a.m. is arriving in the dark before dawn. It's an unnecessary risk to make students walk to school in the dark.

The U.S. has already gone to permanent Daylight Saving Time before, and it did not go well. In the mid-1970s, after several morning traffic accidents involving schoolchildren, including eight in Florida, Governor Reubin Askew asked for the year-round DST law to be repealed.

If the House takes up the bill, they would do well to amend the bill to repeal Daylight Saving Time and bring time changes to an end that way instead.

CHPP Welcomes You to Join Us Every Week in One Hour of Repentance

Sunday evening at 10:00 p.m. EDT
Dial 712-770-5350

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to  "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411#

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
(2 Chronicles 7:14,15)
