Alert! DC Protesters Tear Down Statue of Albert Pike

statuedown.jpg

Protesters in D.C. topple statue of Confederate general - CBS News

Protesters in Washington, D.C., toppled the district's only outdoor statue of a Confederate general late Friday night. According to CBS affiliate WUSA, protesters tore down and then set on fire a statue of Confederate Brigadier General Albert Pike, which has stood in Judiciary Square since 1901.

. . . Eleanor Holmes Norton, the district's delegate to Congress, told WUSA "there is no one who will speak up for Albert Pike."

"We usually don't take statues down this way, there was a better way to take it down. But if anybody's statue deserved to be taken down in the nation's capital, Pike's statue deserved to come down," she said.

The Council of D.C., the local governing body for the district, previously asked Congress to remove the statue, which was a federal monument on federal land.

"Ever since 1992, members of the DC Council have been calling on the federal gov't to remove the statue of Confederate Albert Pike (a federal memorial on federal land). We unanimously renewed our call to Congress to remove it in 2017," the Council's account said in a tweet.

Footnote from CHPP:

Albert Pike was also a framer of modern Freemasonry, and a Grand Wizard of the KKK. His statue honored racism, idolatry and injustice in America. The fact that these protestors have torn down their own idol is HUGE. Praise the Lord!

- Father God, as Your people, we rejoice that this statue has now been obliterated from the land in Washington, D.C. We rejoice, too, that this event has occurred by the hand of those who have honored this statue over time. We see this as a sign that You are about to set MANY captives free, and we rejoice today with the angels in heaven at the news of this great victory for Your Kingdom, amen.

"On that very night the LORD said to Gideon, "Take your father's young bull and a second bull seven years old, tear down your father's altar to Baal, and cut down the Asherah pole beside it." (Judges 6:25)

"I was watching; and the same horn was making war against the saints, and prevailing against them, until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom." (Daniel 7:21,22)

Religious Liberty

Senators were openly invalidating, dismissing, and rejecting legal protection for religious liberty on the Senate floor this week.

In the wake of the Supreme Court's Bostock decision, one senator gathered a group of Senators to speak on the Senate floor and requested immediate passage H.R. 5, the “Equality Act,” to further expand the scope of the Bostock decision.

When another group of Senators countered that there are wider implications of the legislation to consider, the requesting Senator argued that religious liberty arguments were defeated in the past and should be defeated today.

The “Equality Act” is about people being able to create whatever sexuality they want, act in whatever way they want on that basis, and force everyone else everywhere they go to accept their decided-upon sexuality, including people who don't agree with those decisions, and especially those who don't agree on the basis of their faith in God and His Word.

That is why this is a religious liberty issue.

Religious liberty will never be respected if we never tell them why we hold the beliefs we do. Our culture needs Bible teaching. We need to tell people what the Word of God says, and not just that the Bible says something, but actually showing them where it says those things.

Operation Restoration (Repentance)

Operation Restoration

BULLETIN!! PLEASE NOTE OUR NEW NUMBER AND ACCESS CODE:
712-770-5350
150411#

Once each week, on Sunday mornings and for 24 hours, join with others in OPERATION RESTORATION . . .

"Operation Restoration"

This initiative is based upon the Move of the Spirit that was launched last month during Operation Refiner's Fire. The LORD has shown us that He has used those fires to ignite the FIRE of the HOLY SPIRIT to visit our people, which He now yearns to keep burning among our people until the day of His return!

"Operation Restoration" is based on the promise of Scripture, recorded in
2 Chronicles 7:14,15.

It is written:

. . . "and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."

This is a weekly Solemn Assembly, where saints can feel free to gather each Sunday, to offer prayers of repentance before our Lord, for the many sins our nation has committed before Him.

Abba so desires to hear our prayers . . . He is just waiting to heal us!

You can join us, any Sunday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. EST by calling:

712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411#

Each week, our conference line for Operation Restoration will remain open until Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.EST -- allowing for 24 hours of nonstop prayer before our King of Kings, that He might, indeed, "heal our land." Amen.
