Focus on Israel
1. 20 Rockets fired into Israeli territory from Gaza - Israel National News
Terrorists in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip launched 20 rockets at southern Israel Sunday evening, targeting border towns and coastal cities including Sderot and Ashkelon.
Shortly after the rocket launches were detected, Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system was activated, shooting down at least one rocket fired from Gaza into Israel. The Iron Dome system intercepted ten of the rockets, the IDF stated.
The rocket attacks come following an attempted terrorist attack on the Israel-Gaza border Sunday morning, when two terrorists placed a bomb near the Israeli security fence in the Khan Yunis area of the southern Gaza Strip.
2. 'Middle East has no record of anti-Semitism,' Iran's FM asserts - Israel Hayom
The Middle East does not and never had any record of anti-Semitism, Iran's top diplomat contended on Friday. In an interview posted on Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's website, Mohammad Javad Zarif denied that the Middle East was affected by anti-Semitism, calling such claims "propaganda."
"Those who have an anti-Semitic background live somewhere else in the world. In this region, we do not have a record of anti-Semitism. People of the region have always hosted - and continue to host - Jews in a warm manner," Zarif said. "No one can portray Muslims and Iranians - people of the region who have a record of saving Jews - as anti-Semites."
According to the Jerusalem Post, Zarif made the comments while discussing Tehran's position on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and Trump administration's regional peace plan.
He further stressed that the conflict could be resolved only through "democracy and resistance."
3. Palestinian Authority Converts Ancient Hasmonean (Jewish) Fortress into a 'Palestinian Tourist Site' - Jewish Press
The Palestinian Authority (PA) recently seized a Hasmonean-era fortress in the Shomron and has converted it into "a Palestinian tourist site" as part of its campaign to seize Jewish heritage sites and transform them into "Palestinians sites" while systematically demolishing archaeological findings.
The Shomrim Al Hanetzach (Guarding Eternity) organization discovered on Sunday that the PA had installed a massive flag mast and lighting at the fortress of Arama, an ancient Hasmonean archaeological site which dominates the ancient road from Shechem (Nablus) to the Jordan Valley.
Tel Aruma, which is mentioned in the Bible as the city of Avimelech, was the northernmost fortress of the Jewish state during the Hasmonean period.
Photos from the site, seen by TPS, show that the PA's construction caused damage to the fortress's wall and blocked its water reservoirs. The PA also added a heavy concrete casting for the PA flag flying at the site.
4. A secret Mossad Qatar trip, Hamas outreach to Egypt and Iran's threat - Jerusalem Post
In Saudi Arabia, Al-Arabiya is very interested in what a previously unknown "Mossad trip to Qatar" means for the region. "Egypt and Qatar are angry with Hamas, and they intended to cut ties with it," the network reported, while noting that the recent Israeli discussions with Doha about continuing to fund Gaza are noteworthy. Hamas also thinks they are noteworthy, bragging over the weekend that it met with Qatar's envoy Mohammed al-Emadi and $15 million was distributed in Gaza.
In Israel, the Mossad-Qatar-Hamas story was revealed by Yisrael Beytenu leader Avigdor Liberman over the weekend and was reported locally. The story goes that Mossad chief Yossi Cohen and IDF Southern Command Maj.-Gen. Herzi Halevi met with top Qatari officials.
Halevi was in the news before, in January, when he commented on the killing of IRGC general Qasem Soleimani. "We must look at the assassination as part of a fight between Iran and the US over Iraq's character."
Halevi is known for his achievements in a three-year term running Military Intelligence. He has spoken about using deterrence in a way that does not escalate a situation and of the importance of information supremacy over Israel's enemies, according to an article at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies in 2018. This is a key to Israel's "campaign between the wars" in which Israel must prepare for future struggle with Iran and its allies.
Israel now has a dedicated headquarters for the "third circle" threat of Iran in light of the IDF's new Momentum plan. It is worth understanding this larger picture to understand some of what Hamas is up to in Gaza.
Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad both are supported by Iran. PIJ is an Iranian proxy whereas Hamas is more an ally. But Hamas has been isolated over the years and also failed to achieve results in confrontation with Israel. Over 2,600 rockets fired over the last two years achieved little, and its "Great March of Return," launched in 2018, also failed. In March 2018, two years ago, Palestinian prime minister Rami Hamdallah survived an assassination attempt in Gaza. Today, Hamas is bragging about opposing the US "Deal of the Century."
5. 200 Israeli students quarantined after contact with coronavirus-infected South Koreans - JNS
(February 23, 2020 / JNS) At least 180 Israeli students have been put in isolation after coming in contact with a group of South Korean tourists who tested positive for Covid-19, the disease spread by the SARS-Cov-2 virus (aka "coronavirus") after returning from a trip to the Holy Land, as the Jewish state begins to reject entry to visitors from countries at high risk of exposure and concern rises that the infection may have reached Israel.
According to Israel's Channel 12 news, a group of 77 South Koreans arrived home on Feb. 15 after an eight-day tour of Israel, following which nine of them tested positive for the potentially life-threatening disease. Several hours later, the number of infected rose to 18. It is unknown whether they were infectious while they were in Israel. The group was reported to have visited numerous churches in Jerusalem and Bethlehem, as well as the Dead Sea, Masada, Beersheba, Caesarea and the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron.

The Daily Brief
1. Roger Stone sentenced to 3 years for lying, witness tampering as case roils DOJ - Fox News
GOP operative Roger Stone was sentenced to more than three years in prison on Thursday after days of drama ensnaring career prosecutors, the attorney general and the president over how severe Stone's punishment should be for making false statements to investigators during the Trump-Russia probe.
U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson, while taking a firm stance toward Stone in the courtroom, also said the up to nine years originally sought by federal prosecutors was excessive. Her sentence of 40 months in prison was considerably less than that -- yet far more than the probation sought by his defense and certainly tough enough to keep speculation alive about a possible pardon from President Trump.
Trump later said at an event in Las Vegas that he wants to see the process play out because he has a "very good chance of exoneration," suggesting he would wait on a possible pardon decision until all Stone's legal options are exhausted. The president backed Stone as he seeks a new trial, calling the jury in the original trial "tainted" and saying he'll eventually make a "determination." He added: "I'd love to see Roger exonerated, and I'd love to see it happen." (Read more)
- Father, we ask that You be the eyewitness in this case regarding Roger Stone, because You know what is the truth and where the lies are evident. Let holy justice prevail and the President's input be strengthened by the actual knowledge of the truth. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
- "Preserve me, O God: for in You do I put my trust." (Psalm 16:1)
2. Brennan lashes out at Trump with NEW treason claim - WND
Former CIA Director John Brennan famously accused President Trump of treason, claiming the president was an agent of Russian leader Vladimir Putin. He had to backtrack when special counsel Robert Mueller concluded Trump did not collude with Russia in his 2016 campaign. Brennan's excuse was that he had received "bad information."
But he's at it again.
This time he's relying on an anonymous-sourced New York Times report claiming the House Intel Committee was warned by an aide to then-acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire that Russia was "actively meddling in the 2020 campaign in order to get President Trump re-elected." (Read more)
- Father in heaven, we reach up to You to pull down all the hideous lies that continue to attempt to deface President Trump. God, send reinforcements from heaven that will pull the plug on all the wickedness conjured up by his enemies. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
- "Show Your marvelous loving-kindness, O God, that saves by Your right hand them which put their trust in You from those that rise up agains them." (Psalm 17:7)
3. Supreme Court to hear case to hold or not hold FBI accountable for violating Constitutional rights - WND
An innocent man who was asked by the FBI to spy on his religious community and declined, and then became the target of government harassment including the confiscation of his passport, soon will learn whether the Supreme Court will allow those government officials to be held accountable.
If not, according to a new report from the Institute for Justice, "it will send a clear message to the FBI and other government agencies that they can trample on constitutional rights with impunity. (Read more)
- Father in heaven, we pray that You will send an angel from heaven to fight this man's battle against the government harassment of the FBI. Lord, move upon the Supreme Court to hold the FBI accountable for their unlawful injustice against this man. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
- "Lord who shall abide in Your tabernacle? who shall dwell in Your holy hill? He that walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart."
(Psalm 15:1-2)
4. Limbaugh predicts Sanders 3rd-party run if Hillary is Bloomberg's VP - WND
A report from the popular news site the Drudge Report has raised the specter that the Michael Bloomberg campaign for president is considering asking Hillary Clinton to be his vice presidential candidate. And if that happens, talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh warns, America will have a major third party seeking the White House this year.
Hillary Clinton has protested several times since she failed catastrophically in the 2016 presidential race, losing to President Trump, that she's really not aiming for another run at national office.
But there have been few that have considered those statements to be serious, given her comments bashing President Trump, her insistence on a continuing high profile, and the like.
Limbaugh was taking the suggestion seriously, insisting that "everyone knows this is a trial balloon." But, he said, it isn't going to go well. "How do you think this going to play with the Crazy Bernie/Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wing?" he said. "You think Crazy Bernie's people are gonna sit there and take this? If Bloomberg buys the nomination . . . hello third party! They're not gonna put up with it this time." (Read more)
- Almighty God, we cry out to You to stand against the violent and deeply evil actions coming from the hearts of President Trump's enemies. This is greatly shocking. We lift up the Name of Jesus against the enemies of godly political practice and the intensity of their hatred. In Jesus' Name we pray.
- "Show Your marvelous loving-kindness, O Lord that saves by your right hand them which put their trust in God from those that rise up against them. From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about." (Psalm 17:7,9)
5. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama might still play a role in the 2020 Democratic primary - WND
Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told NPR that former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama might still play a role in the 2020 Democratic primary.
Reid, speaking ahead of his home state Nevada's 2020 caucus Saturday, said in an NPR interview published early Wednesday that it would benefit Democrats to avoid a brokered convention. He also expressed hope that if the field remains crowded heading into Milwaukee (the host of the Democratic convention) the remaining candidates could reach an agreement to throw their collective support behind a single candidate.
"We're going to have to see if we can broker a deal," he told NPR's Tamara Keith. "Maybe we could even get Barack Obama to do it. The two most popular people in the country, and perhaps the world, are Barack and Michelle Obama."
This isn't the first time someone has suggested the Obamas could impact the 2020 race. (Read more)
- Father God, we pray that all these voices from the past will remain in the past. God, bind under the Blood of Jesus any who aspire to get back into circulation of leadership. It is impossible to change the history of their deadly sins. We call upon You, Lord, who is worthy to be praised, so shall President Trump be saved from his enemies. God, fight his battle by dispatching myriads of angels to war against them. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
- 'The Lord is my rock, and fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies." (Psalm 18:2-3)
6. Stacey Abrams encouraging Democrats to go around the constitution - WND
Stacey Abrams, who lost the 2018 governor's race in Georgia to Republican Brian Kemp but obstinately refused to concede, now says the nation needs to "go around" its Constitution to take out parts she doesn't like.
That would be the Electoral College. The Media Research Center pointed out Abrams was on a television talk show when she advocated that "she wants to 'go around the Constitution' to end 'racist' Electoral College . . . because she thinks we '[don't] have time' to wait for a constitutional amendment." (Read more)
- Almighty God, we pray You lock the doors to all those of the past who are demonically driven to attack the greatest Constitution of the United States. We engage the help of the Holy Spirit to tame their tongues and render them powerless. Stand in the path and block the way so this woman cannot succeed. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
- "Strive to enter in at the straight gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able." (Luke 13:24)
7. Democrats take stand against Religious liberty proposal - FRC
Nothing really sums up the Left better than the first line of their protest letter to Secretary Alex Azar. "We write to strongly oppose the Department of Health and Human Services' proposed rule, 'Ensuring Equal Treatment of Faith-Based Organizations." In other words, what they support is the unequal treatment of faith-based organizations -- something the last administration had become quite good at. The pair of senators tries to argue that Trump's policy reinstating religious freedom is actually a secret attack on it -- a suggestion that would be funny if it weren't so outrageous.
"The proposed rule -- developed under the guise of religious liberty -- is actually... yet another step taken by President Trump to greenlight federally-funded discrimination," their letter claims. No one is quite sure how, since the whole point of the regulation is to make sure every organization -- religious or not -- is treated the same. What Obama's team liked to do was burden religious groups with special reporting or referral requirements, creating ridiculous hoops that no secular organization had to jump through. Of course, the idea was to persuade faith-based groups it was too much trouble -- or worse, too steep a compromise, to comply. (Read more)
- Father in heaven, we pray that You will withstand any and all avenues of practice for the Democrats. Disable them from warring against God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Faith-Based Organizations and any other religious liberty that they are attacking. We pray the Democrats will reap their own evil attacks against the Lord. In Jesus' Name we pray.
- "With them is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles." (2 Chronicles 32:8)
8. License-plate spy programs missing 1 important requirement - WND
The license-plate spy programs that are used by police and other agencies across the state of California are missing - by far - the minimum privacy requirements that should be embedded, a new report said.
It is the Electronic Frontier Foundation that reported on the results of a seven-month investigation into the use of automated license-plate readers.
The state audit focused on the Los Angeles Police Department and three other agencies in the state, including police in Fresno, Sacramento and Marin County.
"The auditor raised a long list of concerns, including fundamental problems with police ALPR policies, failure to conduct audits, and the risk of ALPR data being abused to surveil political rallies or target immigrant populations," the EFF report said. (Read more)
- Father God, we pray that You overshadow this program and do the impossible from heaven, i.e., protect the innocent from being victimized by this license-plate spy program. We put all our trust in the Lord. In Jesus' Name we pray.
- "Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19)
9. School suspends students for conversation that occurred on a none school day at their homes - WND
A school in Michigan has decided to discipline students for what they do and say at home, and now is getting sued for overstepping its authority.
The case has been filed in U.S. District Court in Michigan on behalf of four students who summarily were suspended from the Saline High School because of a private snapchat conversation.
The school found out about the offensive language that was used, and took action immediately, even though the conversation had nothing at all to do with the school, according to David Kallman, of Kallman Legal, who is working on behalf of the students and their parents.
The case asks for a declaratory judgment, damages and injunctive relief for the violation of their constitutional rights to due process and free speech. (Read more)
- Almighty God, we cry out to You to penalize the law enforcement who disciplined only white students but none of the multiple races of kids. We pray the higher authorities will bring charges against the lawbreakers, and enforce the strictest penalty. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
- "Hide them from the secret counsel of the wicked: from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity." (Psalm 64:2)
10. Students change identity at school without parental knowledge - FRC
Imagine dropping your son off at school, never knowing that he lives a completely different existence as a girl for eight hours a day -- and everyone knows it but you. And not only do teachers know it, but they go to great lengths to hide it. That's the reality in Madison, Wisconsin, where moms and dads have been furious to find out that not only is the district keeping their children's gender expression a secret, but there's an elaborate scheme in place to keep parents from ever finding out!
Most kids can't take an Advil at school without getting their parents' permission -- but they can create a whole new identity without anyone calling home? Thanks to a policy passed in April 2018, this is the new normal for anyone in Madison public schools. And unlike other areas of the country, who've had to deal with the rogue principal here or there, this is a systemic, district-wide campaign to lie to parents and exploit their children. Under the district's official policy, a girl or boy -- of any age -- can "transition to a different gender identity at school" completely confidentially. They can go to their teacher and demand to be called a new name or pronoun, even use a different bathroom, without their parents' okay.
Even more amazingly, the district is forcing teachers and staff to take the lead in deceiving these families. Madison's policy orders them keep up appearances by using the kids' given names and pronouns whenever their parents are around. If a school employee is concerned that this new identity is creating problems or hurting the child, too bad. They're forbidden from bringing it up with parents. In fact, the only time a mom or dad would be brought into the loop is if their son or daughter wanted to change their official records. Otherwise, they're completely in the dark -- something 14 parents in the district are hoping to change. (Read more)
- Almighty God in heaven, we cry out for all these children in the Madison, Wisconsin schools be covered by the protective Blood of Jesus and delivered from the insanity of these teachers and principals at school. Give godly strength to the parents to have a major uprising to combat and defeat all this abnormal infliction upon innocent children. We pray in the mighty Name of Jesus.
- "But the king shall rejoice in God, everyone that swears by Him shall glory; but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped." (Psalm 63:11)

O WHY NOT TONIGHT?
"For you do not know when the master . . . comes." (Mark 13:35)
Lyrics
O do not let the Word depart,
And close thine eyes against the light;
Poor sinner, harden not your heart,
Be saved, O tonight.
Refrain
O why not tonight?
O why not tonight?
Wilt thou be saved?
Then why not tonight?
Tomorrow's sun may never rise
To bless thy long deluded sight;
This is the time, O then be wise,
Be saved, O tonight.
Refrain
Our Lord in pity lingers still,
And wilt thou thus His love requite?
Renounce at once thy stubborn will,
Be saved, O tonight.
Refrain
Our blessèd Lord refuses none
Who would to Him their souls unite;
Believe on Him, the work is done,
Be saved, O tonight.

Melody: J. Calvin Bushey (1847-1929)
About the Hymn:
A tram-car man was passing along the broadway at Deptford, England, where some Christians were singing at an open-air meeting. "Oh, do not let the Word depart." He felt the force of the appeal and hastened home to pray. Though he knelt down and plead earnestly, no light, or peace, or rest came.
A fortnight passed away in this state of uncertainty, and on the following Sunday he was so miserable that he could not go to his work on the tram-car. In the evening he went to a chapel and remained for the prayer meeting.
The leader of the open-air meeting, in which the hymn was sung a fortnight before, happened to be present, and he saw the young man weeping and covering his face with his handkerchief. Praying the Lord to give him a word for this troubled soul, the leader asked him, "Are you trusting Christ?" "No, but I am seeking Him," the man replied. And there he found Him, to the joy of his soul.
Thus, in the providence of God, the Christian worker who was the cause of producing the anxiety, without knowing at the time any of the circumstances, was also the means of removing it. This is but one of the numerous instances of the usefulness of Why not To-night? in evangelistic meetings.

Dead Sea Blooms Floral Wonderland for First Time: Ezekiel's Prophecy Coming to Fruition?
And it shall come to pass that fishers shall stand by it from En-gedi even unto En-eglaim; there shall be a place for the spreading of nets; their fish shall be after their kinds as the fish of the Great Sea exceeding many.
(Ezekiel 47:10)
For those who have visited the lowest point on the face of the earth, Ezekiel's end-of-days prophecy of the Dead Sea coming to life seems impossible, yet recently, scientists have been shocked to discover that the sinkholes appearing around the sea are quickly filling up with fish and other forms of life previously unseen in the inhospitable region.
And now, another rare life form has been witnessed across the northern shoreline of the Dead Sea - colorful floral landscapes.
Thanks to Israel's record rains, the breathtaking flower trails have sprouted from the cliffs to the shoreline of the Northern Dead Sea area.
The four mile stretch from Kibbutz Kalya to Ovnat is alive with newly formed fields of annual species whose seeds can lay dormant in the desert for years until there is enough water for them to sprout.
Known as the Dead Sea in English because of its hypersaline environment (37% salinity - almost ten times saltier than the ocean) and scarcity of aquatic life, Israeli photojournalist Noam Bedein of the Dead Sea Revival Project says that the term Dead Sea - "a political term used mostly by the Romans" - is a misnomer.
The Dead Sea is "anything but dead," he said, calling it the "eighth wonder of the world."
Bedein has witnessed fish in Dead Sea sinkholes, microorganisms, growing vegetation and millions of visitors each year who come seeking life through the body of water's high oxygen levels and special minerals.
Indeed, the existence of fish in the Dead Sea, a reality that seems to contradict the laws of nature, has been explained by science and Biblical prophecy alike.
On the shores of the Dead Sea - more than 400 meters below sea level - are freshwater sinkholes, created as a result of dropping water levels. These large sinkholes were discovered in 2011, carpeted with microorganisms and on the sea's shores - fish and algae. (Breaking Israel News) Read more.

'Landmark' Bill Requiring Parental Consent before Abortion Passes Florida Legislature
The Florida House of Representatives passed a bill Thursday, Feb. 20, that requires minors obtain parental consent before having an abortion.
The Florida Senate passed the bill several weeks ago, and now, the abortion bill goes to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who promised to sign it into law in his State of the State address.
As of now, Florida law mandates that parents be notified if their minor child has an abortion, but consent is not required if the minor obtains a judicial waiver.
After the bill was passed, Florida Family Policy Council President John Stemberger issued a statement:
"This bill is an historic and landmark pro-life victory for many reasons. First, it will save the lives of countless babies born to pregnant minors. Second, it will protect parents' rights by requiring them to be part of the conversation when a minor daughter becomes pregnant. Bill prime sponsors, Rep. Erin Grall and Sen. Kelli Stargel showed remarkable leadership and were great advocates for the protection of the unborn and for the health and safety of young pregnant mothers. Abortion is a permanent, irreversible and surgical procedure that is fraught with physical, emotional and psychological consequences."

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalm 119:105)
AMEN!!
Reminder!
And . . . once again . . . welcome!
