President Trump's Abraham Accords Are a Momentous Step Towards Peace in the Middle East

History was made today at the White House as leaders from Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain met with President Trump and signed the Abraham Accords, which will normalize diplomatic relations between Israel and the two Arab nations. We welcome you to share this information with your networks and communities.

Focus on Israel

1. The peace treaties between the UAE, Bahrain and Israel are signed - Jerusalem Post

WASHINGTON DC - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has signed historic peace treaties with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain on Tuesday evening.

"This is an incredible day for the world," said US President Donald Trump at the start of the ceremony.

He said that the courage of the Israeli and Arab leaders has enabled these countries "to take a major stride toward a future where people of all faiths live together in peace and prosperity."

The president added that the Abraham Accords open the door for Muslim, Jews and Christians "to live togeher, pray togehter and dream together," and especially for Muslims from around the world to visit the holy sites in Israel. This includes praying at the Al Aqsa Mosque - the third holiest site in Israel.

2. 6 hurt in rocket attack during signing of peace deal - Israel National News

As Prime Minister Netanyahu signed a peace agreement with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain at the White House Red Alert alarms sounded in the city of Ashkelon and in its industrial area, as well as in various neighborhoods in the city of Ashdod, injuring at least six people.

Residents in Ashdod and Ashkelon reported hearing loud explosions of intercepting rockets over the cities.

United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Yitzchak Ponfender, who was one of the first responders at the scene in Ashdod, stated: "Shrapnel from one of the rockets that was just launched at Israel fell in the city and caused damage to stores at a strip mall. The falling shrapnel as well as the color red siren caused panic and confusion among residents in the area. As a result, one pedestrian was moderately injured and five others sustained light injuries. Together with other EMS personnel, I treated those injured in the incident.

Additionally, United Hatzalah's Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit (PCRU) whose expertise lies in providing psychological first aid at the scene of traumatic medical incidents was active at the scene and treated numerous residents for emotional and psychological shock."

3. Nearly 5,000 new COVID cases confirmed in 24 hours as death toll hits 1,141 - Israel Hayom

The number of Israelis testing positive for coronavirus continues to rise and hit another record from Monday to Tuesday, standing at 4,973 confirmed positives, or 12% of all tests processed in that 24-hour period, as of Tuesday morning, the Health Ministry reported.

Approximately 3,000 of the newly-confirmed cases live in cities, towns, or local authorities coded either red or orange under the traffic light plan.

An additional two coronavirus patients died of the virus after midnight Monday, bringing the national death toll to 1,141 since the start of the epidemic in Israel.

The number of hospitalized patients listed in serious condition has jumped to 533, 140 of whom were on ventilators as of Tuesday morning.

There were 40,689 active or symptomatic patients in Israel.

4. Minister says new lockdown will be looser, more focused on mental health - Times of Israel

Final lockdown rules will be thrashed out by the government Tuesday night, and they will fix "mistakes" of the first lockdown and pay better attention to the physical and psychological shape of the nation, according to Israel's science minister.

The sign of warning tape strung across playgrounds to stop children from entering, a jarring image of the March-April closure, won't be seen again, and use of outdoor gym equipment will be "encouraged," Yizhar Shai told The Times of Israel.

"There will be many changes and improvements and fine tuning that have been concluded [after the] the first lockdown, and which have been learned [about] from science," he said.

5. Netanyahu sets sights on override clause - Israel National News

(JNS) Amazing as the latest revelations were about what goes on behind closed doors at the Israel Police and State Attorney's Office-the improper cooperation, cover-ups and conflicts of interest that infuse professional decisions-they didn't really surprise anyone who has closely followed these systems. They certainly didn't surprise Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

His latest attacks against the "law-enforcement system" are not part of the legal defense in his trial, which is slated to restart in January. They also aren't meant for members of his Likud Party or his supporter base, who have been furious at the police, the State Attorney's Office, the attorney general and everyone in between for a long time already. Rather, political observers believe Netanyahu is aiming his arrows at a completely different target audience-the three leaders of the Blue and White Party: Defense Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz, Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi and Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn.

Because behind the scenes, in the shadow of the coronavirus, Netanyahu's trial and the protests outside his official residence in Jerusalem, the real battle is raging over the fate of the entire Israeli political system-the fight for the override clause pertaining to the alternate prime minister.

The Daily Brief

1. Joe Biden warns America's suburbs will be destroyed by 'hellish' fires, floods, and superstorms if 'climate arsonist' Trump is re-elected - The Blaze

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden grimly predicted that "hellish" fires, floods, hurricanes, and superstorms would level and destroy America's suburbs if "climate arsonist" President Donald Trump is re-elected.

The ominous prediction, which came as historic wildfires scorch much of the country's West Coast, sounded like a prophecy out of the Book of Revelation.

The former vice president made the comments during a speech on climate change Monday in Wilmington, Delaware, as the president headed to California to be briefed on the catastrophic fires.

In the speech, though he conceded that Trump didn't directly cause the natural disasters that have plagued America in recent months, Biden suggested that the president's "climate denial" was a contributing factor. (Read more)

- Father, we thank You that there is truth about these fires and forest management, which are by no means because of our President. Let these absurd accusations be shown to be nothing more than political hyperbole! Rather we pray for every resource possible to be used in the fight against these fires and let us guard the apple of His eye.

"Can you search out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limits of the Almighty? They are higher than heaven--what can you do? Deeper than Sheol--what can you know?" (Job 11:7-8)

2. Heiress to Predatory Mortgage Empire to Spend $200 Million for Dems - Free Beacon

The heiress to the subprime mortgage empire that preyed on minorities on its way to earning billions of dollars is now spending $200 million to boost liberal groups in battleground states, according to the New York Times.

Susan Sandler, the daughter of billionaire banking giants Herb and Marion Sandler, announced Monday that she is investing $200 million in "racial justice groups" as part of an effort to build a liberal infrastructure in states "undergoing rapid demographic change" such as Texas, Florida, and Georgia.

The move from Sandler, a longtime donor to Democratic candidates and groups, is the start of a transition away from the short-term world of supporting campaigns to a long-term effort at building power, according to the Times.

The source of Sandler's cash injection is her parents' subprime mortgage company, Golden West Financial Corp., which was sold to Wachovia Bank in 2006 for a reported $25 billion. The couple built its fortune by offering millions of adjustable-rate mortgage loans to individuals, many of whom couldn't afford them and eventually defaulted on their homes.

While the Sandlers came away with billions of dollars, many blame the loans they offered for causing the burst of the U.S. housing bubble and resulting financial crisis of 2007. The defaulted loans cost Wachovia billions of dollars, forcing it to merge with Wells Fargo, which eventually agreed to pay a $50 million settlement to borrowers who were misled by the Sandlers. (Read more)

- Father, the incredible, incomprehensible amounts of money that are being handed around person to person, group to organization is unbelievable. The ability to manipulate people and outcomes and the governance of cities and states by a tiny, but incredibly wealthy few is unjust. The only thing out of their reach is this nation, and that, only by the Word and a prayer.

The intentions of the people holding this much financial leverage to overthrow the Constitutional Republic of the United States of America is abhorrent and obvious through the violent riots in the streets; raging fury in the media; censoring free speech in the marketplace; isolating people from loved ones and community and shutting down churches and freedom to assemble. May Your righteousness, justice and truth be released into the heart and soul of this nation, please Lord Jesus, for Your glory!

". . . And you were not aware; You have been found and also caught, Because you have contended against the Lord. The Lord has opened His armory, And has brought out the weapons of His indignation; For this is the work of the Lord God of hosts . . . "(Jeremiah 50:24-25)

3. Pfizer CEO: Coronavirus vaccine could be distributed in U.S. by end of year - Market Watch

The chief executive of Pfizer Inc. said Sunday that the pharmaceutical giant should know if its experimental COVID-19 vaccine works by the end of October - and, if approved, it could be distributed in the U.S. by the end of the year.

In an interview on Sunday with CBS News' "Face the Nation," CEO Albert Bourla said there is a "good chance" of getting key data from late-stage trials to the Food and Drug Administration by the end of October, and that the company is already producing the vaccine, just in case.

"We started already manufacturing, and we have already manufactured hundreds of thousands of doses, so just in case we have a good study readout, conclusive, and FDA, plus the advisory committee, feels comfortable, that we will be ready," Bourla said.

On Saturday, Pfizer and BioNTech sought FDA approval to expand their Phase 3 vaccine trial to up to 44,000 participants, up from the originally planned 30,000. (Read more)

- Father, we have no way of actually knowing how safe these vaccines really are. We ask You to cause this vaccine to be rejected and stopped if it is not safe for the human body. Jesus, we know our President wants to get this thing out quickly, but let the required testing take place first and may no harm be done to anyone.

"You caused judgment to be heard from heaven; The earth feared and was still, When God arose to judgment, To deliver all the oppressed of the earth. Selah" (Psalm 76:8-9)

4. Judge: Pennsylvania's pandemic restrictions unconstitutional - WTAE

A federal judge in Pittsburgh says Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf and State Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine had good intentions to protect people from the coronavirus but their orders went too far. The judge ruled in a court order that Wolf's closing of "non-life-sustaining" businesses and restrictions on gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic were unconstitutional.

"You can't tell 13 million Pennsylvanians that they have to stay home. That's not America. It never was. That order was horrible," Thomas W. King, III, an attorney for the plaintiffs, told Pittsburgh's Action News 4.

Judge William Stickman IV ruled that the state-posed limits on gatherings violated the First Amendment and the stay-at-home and business-closing orders violated the Fourteenth Amendment.

The ruling by Stickman was made in a case in which Butler, Greene, Fayette and Washington counties are listed as plaintiffs. The counties had filed suit, claiming the shutdown orders were unconstitutional. (Read more)

- We say Hallelujah! to a Constitutional victory for the citizens of Pennsylvania! Thank you Lord for truth regarding the limitations to government authority over "We, the people." May this ruling be a source of power unto victory for those who are fighting a similar battle in other states.

"Where there is no revelation (prophetic vision), the people cast off restraint (perish); But happy is he who keeps the law." (Proverbs 29:18)

5. The dawn of a new Middle East': UAE, Bahrain, Israel Sign Historic Peace Accords - Sara Carter

The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain signed a historic peace agreement at the White House Tuesday, agreeing to normalize relations with Israel. The historic accords were brokered by the Trump administration as part of its plan for Middle East Peace.

We're here this afternoon to change the course of history," Trump said at the signing ceremony. "After decades of division conflict, we mark the dawn of a new Middle East. Thanks to the great courage of the leaders of these three countries, we take a major stride toward a future in which people of all faiths and backgrounds live together in peace and prosperity."

The agreement, dubbed the "Abraham Accords," means the countries will establish corresponding embassies, exchange ambassadors, welcome tourists, and engage in bilateral trade relations. Trump says it's just the start to making peace across the entire region.

"Together, these agreements will serve as the foundation for a comprehensive peace across the entire region, something which nobody thought was possible, certainly not in this day and age, maybe in decades from now, but one founded on shared interests, mutual respect, and friendship," Trump said. (Read more)

- Dear Lord, we are all for peace, but we pray that peace will not come at the price of surrendered sovereignty over the land declared to belong to Israel by God Himself. Although these agreements have already been signed, we speak out that only those parts of it approved by God will be implemented.

" . . . like birds flying about, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem. Defending, He will also deliver it; passing over, He will preserve it." (Isaiah 31:5)

6. Mayor de Blasio Cancels Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade - Sara Carter

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has canceled the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade amid the COVID-19 pandemic, breaking from a 94-year tradition. Instead, the event will be held virtually.

"It will be a different kind of event. They're reinventing the event for this moment in history, and you'll be able to feel the spirit and the joy of that day on television, online. Not a live parade but something that will really give us that warmth and that great feeling we have on Thanksgiving Day," de Blasio said during his press briefing Monday.

Macy's says that the event will still feature performances and the trademark balloon characters. However, all talent will be locally sourced and balloons will be guided by vehicles and not the normal 80-100 people they traditionally require.

"Macy's believes in celebration and the joy of marking milestone moments with family and friends. The Macy's Parade is our love letter and gift to the City of New York and the nation. Under the unique challenges of these unparalleled times, we felt it was important to continue this cherished holiday tradition that has been the opening act to the holiday season for generations of families," said Susan Tercero, executive producer of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. "While it will certainly look different in execution, this year's Macy's Parade celebration will once again serve its historical purpose - to bring joy into the hearts of millions across the nation." (Read more)

- Father, we see how socialist officials have extended their authority to alter what private companies have done in the past on an annual basis. We see how compliant companies are in the face of orders delivered under the guise of protecting from COVID. Lord, we pray that orders like this will be generated wisely at the grassroots level in the future and not imposed by officials with an agenda.

"I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts." (Psalms 119:45)

7. Netflix defends 'Cuties' as 'social commentary' against sexualization of children - The Hill

Netflix is defending its French film "Cuties" after a considerable backlash on social media, arguing it is a "social commentary against the sexualization of young children." "Cuties' is a social commentary against the sexualization of young children," a Netflix spokesperson said in a Friday statement as the "CancelNetflix" hashtag trended to the top of Twitter on Thursday.

Critics have argued that the film sexualizes children. Netflix issued an apology last month for promotional material for "Cuties," saying it was "deeply sorry for the inappropriate artwork" which it said was "not representative" of the film.

A Change.org petition that has collected more than 600,000 signatures calls for the movie to be removed from Netflix. One commentator, Liz Wheeler, tweeted about the film saying, " if you watch 11-year-olds twerk, you are a creep. If you taught 11-year-olds how to touch themselves on camera you're abominable. if you defend Netflix airing this child porn, you're enabling abuse." (Read more)

- Precious Lord, we are appalled at the sexualizing of these young girls to bring in money to Netflix. In the name of Jesus, we come strongly against this film and any like it as it is a means to soften the public's acceptance of child pornography and provide a gateway for more "art" work of this kind which comes directly against the laws and will of God. Lord, shut this down quickly.

"And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea." (Mark 9:42)

8. Witness, documents emerge to undercut Homeland whistleblower championed by Schiff - Just The News

The Trump administration is producing documents and a senior Homeland Security Department witness to undercut allegations made by the latest federal whistleblower to be championed by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff.

The developments Tuesday involve a whistleblowing complaint filed by Brian Murphy, Homeland's former head of intelligence, who alleged Trump officials sought to censor or manipulate intelligence for political purposes.

According to three officials with direct knowledge, Homeland Security Deputy General Counsel Ian Brekke plans to tell the Intelligence Committee in a transcribed interview Tuesday that Murphy improperly ordered the surveillance of journalists he believed had obtained his leaked work emails.

Brekke also plans to testify that no superiors at Homeland ever instructed Murphy to surveil journalists or to manipulate intelligence concerning Homeland threats, such as Russian and other foreign efforts to interfere in the U.S. election or terrorism concerns about white supremacists, the three officials said. (Read more)

- Father God, may HOC Chairman Adam Schiff and the "whistleblower", Brian Murphy, encounter Holy Spirit conviction for their lies and false accusations against the Trump Administration. May they back down in repentance as the evidence of their lies is brought forth, and may justice be properly served. Truth be told, in Jesus name!

A false witness will not go unpunished, And he who tells lies will not escape.  (Proverbs 19:5)

9. Slow moving Hurricane Sally tracks east of New Orleans, with flooding, storm surge top concerns - Just The News

Hurricane Sally is slowly tracking eastward and is expected to make landfall late Tuesday or early Wednesday near the Alabama-Mississippi line - perhaps sparing New Orleans a direct hit.

The storm, with sustained winds of 85 mph, early Tuesday plodded toward the northern Gulf Coast. Forecasters are warning about potentially deadly storm surges and flash floods - the result of the Category One hurricane gathering so much moisture in its slow march up the Gulf of Mexico. The storm could dump as much as 2 feet of rain, forecasters also say.

Hurricane warnings have been issued from Grand Isle, La. to Navarre, Fla., but forecasters continue to say there's still a "significant" amount of uncertainty about where the storm will hit, according to the Associated Press. (Read more)

- Merciful Father, we pray that the Hurricane Sally would quickly dissipate. Creator, You own the wind and waves and weather. We beseech You for mercy for those in the storm's path, and ask that no lives be lost and that any damage be minimal. Hear our prayers, Abba, as we take and use the authority given by Your Son to calm the storms. Peace, be still, in Yeshua's mighty name.

They came to Jesus and woke Him up, saying, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm. (Luke 8:24)

10. Federal appeals court supports Trump on ending Temporary Protected Status for some countries - Just The News

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday supported President Trump's attempt to nix protected status for people from certain countries present in the U.S., ruling that the president's moves falls outside of the bounds of the court's review powers.

The federal court also rejected contentions that the Trump administration was driven by animus for the four countries of El Salvador, Nicaragua, Haiti and Sudan when moving to end Temporary Protected Status for people from those countries, according to the Washington Times.

The outlet reports that the findings supersede a lower court ruling, but also notes other courts have applied holds on some of the policies.

Temporary Protected Status permits migrants in the U.S. to temporarily remain when situations such as a natural disaster or other situation occur in their own countries, the Times said. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we ask daily for Your wisdom and guidance for President Trump and trust that You are willing to grant these requests because of Your promise in Your Word (James 1:5). We are thankful for the 9th Circuit Court's support of President Trump's wishes to eliminate protected status for those migrants from the 4 countries. We praise You, as this Court is normally far to the left in their decisions. We entrust these migrants into Your care, Father.

When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. (Proverbs 16:7)

Political police narratives don't match the truth

The political narrative is that police are routinely killing black people. But this is refuted by a comprehensive Harvard study of police data indicating that police are less likely to use lethal force against black civilians than with white suspects. The study of a 15-year period on police data regarding racial differences is contained in AN EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF RACIAL DIFFERENCES IN POLICE USE OF FORCE by National Bureau of Economic Research's Roland G. Fryer, Jr., an African American Harvard professor of economics, July 2016. The study found that Blacks are 23.8% less likely to be shot at by police relative to whites, but Blacks are harassed far more in police interactions.

Fryer Studied 1,332 shootings between 2000-2015 using detailed data from police reports in Houston, Austin, Dallas, Los Angeles, Orlando, Jacksonville; and four other counties in Florida; 3.5 million arrests from New York City stop and frisk records 2003-2013; and 500,000 observations from 1996-2011 in the Police-Public Contact Survey by the Bureau of Justice. The study found: Black civilians are 30.9% less likely to be shot with a pistol (rather than a taser) relative to non-black suspects. Officers are 47.4% less likely to discharge their firearms before being attacked if the suspect is black; Blacks are 53% more likely to experience any use of non-lethal force; Blacks are 21.3% more likely to endure some form of force.

The study indicated blacks are 19.4% more likely than whites to be involved in an interaction with police in which at least a weapon is drawn; Officers decisions to use lethal force are not correlated with the race of the suspect. The study finds there are no differences in the use of lethal force for black suspects compared with white. There is no evidence of racial differences of the officers who use lethal force. Fryer said, "Much more troubling, due to their frequency and potential impact on minority belief formation, is the possibility that racial differences in police use of non-lethal force have spillovers on myriad dimensions of racial inequality."-meaning lethal force is not racially motivated, but harassment likely is.

The black community has believed for generations that police in general do not serve and protect them the same as whites; that blacks live under a form of soft tyranny that doesn't afford them the feeling of freedom and security. Every time there is a senseless death, these concerns grow even deeper. This is where the frustration and perception of being treated unfairly becomes reality, even though the narrative doesn't align with the truth. It is a vicious cycle that informs behavioral reactions to police. What is our response as Christians? Christ said in Matthew 7:12, "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets." It's the Golden Rule and we should employ it in all our relations. Be a bridgebuilder focused on the pith of the issue rather than the political narrative.

Sally Makes Landfall

Hurricane Sally makes landfall in Alabama as Category 2 storm, 'life-threatening' flooding expected

Hurricane Sally roared ashore the northern Gulf Coast early Wednesday morning, making landfall as the storm threatens to bring devastating flooding to the region.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) says Hurricane Sally made landfall at 4:45 a.m. CDT near Gulf Shores, Alabama as a Category 2 storm with maximum sustained winds of 105 mph. The hurricane has left thousands without power near coastal areas of Alabama and the Florida Panhandle region.

"Catastrophic and life-threatening flooding likely along portions of the north-central Gulf Coast," the NHC said.

The storm has since been downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane.

- Father God, we ask for Your divine intervention in this storm. Please keep lives safe and strengthen those who are rescuing others, in Your name, amen.

"Ask and it will be given to you . . ." (Matthew 7:7)

A Classic Hymn

Classic Hymns

JESUS, NAME OF WONDROUS LOVE

"Far above . . . every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come." ( Ephesians 1:21)

Lyrics

Jesus! Name of wondrous love!
Name all other names above!
Unto which must every knee
Bow in deep humility.

Jesus! Name of priceless worth
To the fallen sons of earth,
For the promise that it gave-
"Jesus shall His people save."

Jesus! Name decreed of old,
To the maiden mother told-
Kneeling in her lowly cell-
By the angel Gabriel.

Jesus! Name of mercy mild,
Given to the holy Child,
When the cup of human woe
First He tasted here below.

Jesus! Only name that's given
Under all the mighty heaven,
Whereby man, to sin enslaved,
Bursts his fetters, and is saved.

Jesus! Name of wondrous love,
Human name of God above!
Pleading only this, we flee,
Helpless, O our God, to Thee!

Tropical Storms Teddy, Vicky form as hurricane center tracks 8 systems; 'storms everywhere'

Hurricane Sally is threatening the Gulf Coast, while Hurricane Paulette passed over Bermuda and two other storms formed

As if one hurricane targeting the Gulf Coast of the United States and another moving directly over Bermuda on Monday wasn't enough for forecasters, two tropical storms also formed within hours of each other.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami said Tropical Storm Vicky formed just a few hours after Teddy came together in the Atlantic Ocean on Monday morning.

The latest burst of activity marks only the second time in recorded history that five or more tropical cyclones have existed simultaneously in the Atlantic basin.

Eric Blake, a hurricane specialist at the NHC, said on Twitter the only year with a higher number is September 1971.

"I cry uncle. 2020 please stop! Storms everywhere," Blake tweeted.

Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
