As Israelis prepare to enter a three-week lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus outbreak, some 700 people are reportedly set to attend Tuesday's ceremony at the White House where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain will establish diplomatic relations.
Before the ceremony, Netanyahu will meet at the White House with US President Donald Trump, who brokered the diplomatic breakthrough, according to an Israeli official who briefed reporters accompanying the premier in Washington.
The UAE and Bahrain will be represented at the signing ceremony by their foreign ministers, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, respectively. (Times of Israel) Read more here.

1. PM agreed to cease all construction in territories in exchange for UAE agreement report claims - Ynet News
Meretz Chairman Nitzan Horowitz said on Monday that he learned from "authorized sources" that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had given his official consent to cease all construction in the West Bank territories, as part of the agreement with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
In response to the report, Yamina MK Bezalel Smotrich called for Netanyahu to "reveal the details of the peace agreement, in order to prove that he did not adopt the 'peace' in exchange for handing over territories."
2. As Netanyahu heads back to DC, settlers now find themselves on the outside- Times of Israel
In late January, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu headed off to Washington, DC, promising to "make history" in the US capital where US President Donald Trump would unveil his long-awaited Israeli-Palestinian peace plan.
Delighted with the proposal and its pro-Israel orientation, Netanyahu brought along with him a delegation of settler leaders whom he expected were finally being handed a peace plan that they could get behind - a plan that recognized the Jewish people's historic ties to the West Bank (biblical Judea and Samaria) and did not ask Israel to uproot its communities there. In fact, Netanyahu initially believed, the plan and its context amounted to a US blessing for Israel to immediately annex all of the settlements, as part of the 30 percent of the West Bank allocated to Israel.
3. Second lockdown to cost Israel upward of $4 billion, says Israeli Finance Ministry - JNS
(September 13, 2020 / Israel Hayom) A month-long coronavirus lockdown will cost the Israeli economy between NIS 15 and 20 billion ($4.3 to $5.7 billion), the country's Finance Ministry said over the weekend.
A senior ministry official stressed that the estimate did not include compensation for businesses that are likely to go under, or unemployment benefits the state will have to pay tens if not hundreds of thousands of Israelis who will again be let go or placed on unpaid leave.
The government is slated to vote on a lockdown on Sunday. Finance Minister Israel Katz has said he will vote against the measure.
The overall economic impact of a lockdown during the High Holidays is expected to be particularly serious as this year many of the holidays fall on weekends, meaning they would have had minimal impact on economic activity.
4. MK Naftali Bennett: Hammer's blow to hundreds of thousands of self-employed and unemployed - Israel National News
Former Defense Minister and Yamina chairman Naftali Bennett responded to the government's decision to impose a general closure beginning this Friday.
"A hammer blow to the heads of hundreds of thousands of small, self-employed and unemployed businesses. A failure in leadership. What's needed is a clear plan to exit the quarantine," said Bennett.
MK Ofer Shelah (Yesh Atid) attacked Prime Minister Netanyahu's speech tonight, saying "All the smoke that Bibi is spreading will not help. Israel is in the worst position in the world, but everything is rosy and the others are to blame. This is not the way to buy back the public's trust. We will only end up suffering from unnecessary lockdown measures that won't solve anything."
"The government has led the country to the greatest administrative and leadership failure in its history. Amateurs and petty politics have so far. The government needs to present a plan for exiting the shutdown and assisting the self-employed," stated Yamina's Ayelet Shaked.
5. A Jump in the Number of Serious Patients in Israel - Jewish Press
Israel's Health Ministry on Sunday morning reported a new record in the number of critically ill patients from the coronavirus, and now stands at 513. This is the highest number of seriously ill patients since the outbreak of the epidemic in Israel. Out of this group, 130 are on ventilators.
The Health Ministry also reported Sunday morning that 2,651 people have tested positive for the virus in the past 24 hours. This increased the number of verified infections in Israel to date to 153,217.
On Saturday, results were obtained in 29,484 tests, with the percentage of positive tests at 9%.
The test data and their results are not final and may change in later Health Ministry updates.
6. Hungary says it will be only EU country to send minister to Israel-UAE accord signing - Reuters
BUDAPEST (Reuters) - Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto will be the only EU diplomatic leader to attend the signing ceremony on Tuesday in Washington for the Israel-United Arab Emirates peace deal, his spokesman said on Sunday.
"At the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump, as the only European Union minister, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto will also attend ... the signing ceremony in the White House on Tuesday," Mate Paczolay told Hungarian news agency MTI.
Under the accord, which Trump helped broker, Israel agreed to suspend its planned annexation of areas of the occupied West Bank. The agreement also firms up opposition to regional power Iran, which the UAE, Israel and the United States view as the main threat in the conflict-riven Middle East.
7. Israeli, Bahrani Defence Ministers Hold First Phone Call - Algemeiner
The defense ministers of Israel and Bahrain held their first publicly‐acknowledged phone call on Monday since their countries agreed to normalize ties.
Bahraini state news agency BNA and a spokeswoman for Israel's Defense Ministry said Bahrain's minister of defense affairs, Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi, and Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz had spoken as Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates prepared to sign agreements with Israel in Washington, DC, on Tuesday.
The ministers discussed the importance of the agreement for regional stability and "common expectations for establishing a close partnership between the two defense ministries," the BNA statement said.
Gantz invited the Bahraini minister to make an official visit to Israel, and the two agreed to continue their dialogue, a statement from Gantz's office said.

1. Mueller's Team Members 'Accidentally' Wiped Phones Clean of Data - Breitbart
Justice Department records obtained and published by Judicial Watch on Friday show that senior members of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team repeatedly and "accidentally" wiped data off phones assigned to them, according to the conservative watchdog group.
Judicial Watched obtained 87 pages from the DOJ in response to a September 2019 Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the DOJ and the FBI for a December 17, 2018, request for:
All records related to the hardware, software and contents of mobile phones issued to FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page for their use while they served on the investigative team of Special Counsel Robert Mueller;
All records of communication (whether on government or non-.gov email accounts and whether using real names or aliases), with FBI officials relating to the hardware, software and contents of mobile phones issued to FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page for their use while they served on the investigative team of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
According to the records Judicial Watch received, 27 phones used by members of the Special Counsel team were reported wiped clean of all data prior to a review by the Special Counsel of phones used by Mueller's teams for records-preservation purposes.
Twenty of those phones were reported wiped clean of data due to "accidental wipe," often from entering the wrong password too many times. (Read more)

2. Chinese virologist who fled to the US after claiming Beijing covered up Covid-19 vows to publish evidence PROVING the virus is manmade - and claims even non-scientists will be able to verify the data - Daily Mail UK
A virologist who claimed the Chinese government covered up the coronavirus outbreak says she will produce scientific evidence the virus was man-made.
Respected Chinese virologist Dr Li-Meng Yan, who specialised in virology and immunology at the Hong Kong School of Public Health, claimed that Beijing knew about the coronavirus well before reports began to emerge.
She has since been forced to flee Hong Kong fearing her life is in danger, and appeared today on Loose Women from a secret location, revealing that the Chinese government had 'removed all her information' from government data bases.
Dr Yan claimed that reports that Covid-19 originated at a wet market in Wuhan are a 'smoke screen', and that she plans to publish a report she claims has evidence the virus is manmade.
When asked where the virus comes from, the scientist replied: 'It comes from the lab in Wuhan.'
'The genome sequence is like a human finger print', she said. 'And based on this you can identify these things. I will [use this] evidence to tell people why this has come from the lab in China, why they are the ones who made it.

3. Trump targets illicit Iran trade ahead of Israel-Gulf nations White House meeting - Fox News
As President Trump seeks to forge a historic step for peace in the Middle East, by presiding over the agreement normalizing relations between Israel and the Gulf Arab nations of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, the looming shadow of Iran will not be far from the White House ceremony on Tuesday. The administration is tightening the global squeeze on the Islamic Republic.
"The United States must keep pressure on the regime in Tehran as long as it creates conflict, chaos, and human suffering," U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Kelly Craft told Fox News. "Endangering millions of innocent men, women and children in Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq and other parts of the Middle East cannot be tolerated. Cutting off revenue to the world's No. 1 sponsor of terror will save lives."
The Trump administration is ratcheting up the focus on nations that illegally engage in trade with Iran, despite United Nations and U.S. sanctions. The issue of Iran and its continued trade with the international community is expected to be a part of the president's address to the United Nations General Assembly later this month.
The U.S. Treasury Department recently slapped sanctions on 11 new petrochemical firms it claimed are supplying Iran with prohibited oil. Two of the firms, Petrotech FZE and Chemtrans Petrochemicals, are based in the United Arab Emirates. A third UAE-based firm is accused of helping to "broker the sales of tens of thousands of metric tons of petroleum products." Chinese, Iranian and Hong Kong firms were also cited. (Read more)

4. AUDIO: Los Angeles County Health Director Says She Expects Schools To Reopen 'After The Election' - Daily Wire
On Wednesday, audio surfaced of Los Angeles County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer saying that K-12 schools in America's largest county likely will not open until after the November election.
KFI News radio reporter Steve Gregory said he received a partial audio recording of a conference call between Dr. Ferrer and "a collection of school nurses, school administrators, other education and medical professionals."
During that discussion, Ferrer indicated that she does not expect schools to reopen before the November election.
"We don't realistically anticipate that we would be moving to either tier 2 or to reopening K-12 schools at least until after the election, in early November," Ferrer said. "When we look at the timing of everything, it seems to us a more realistic approach to this would be to think that we're going to be where we are now until we are done with the election."
The recording was featured on KFI's "John and Ken Show," where the co-hosts of the high-wattage afternoon drive program questioned whether Dr. Ferrer was manipulating the date to influence the Presidential race.
Gregory said he contacted the health department directly after obtaining the audio to inquire when Ferrer said schools would reopen.
"I got a response back that is basically this word salad," Gregory said. "It's one big long paragraph of a word salad. It's not even worth reading because all that it said was, 'we're reassessing all of the time, and as soon as we do the in-person learning with the high risk, high needs students, the special needs, we will reassess for everyone else.' That was their official answer as to when the schools were going to reopen." (Read more)

5. Schumer and Pelosi-Aligned Groups Funnel Millions in Secret Cash Into 2020 Elections - Free Beacon
Liberal advocacy groups closely aligned with Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) have pushed more than $12 million in dark money contributions into the 2020 elections, filings show.
Majority Forward, a nonprofit with ties to Schumer's Senate Majority PAC, has pushed $10.6 million in direct contributions into the election, while House Majority Forward, a nonprofit that is linked to Pelosi's House Majority PAC, has poured $1.6 million into 2020 efforts. The cash ultimately benefits liberal politicians, who routinely vow to rid politics of dark money.
Majority Forward, created in 2015, has been the biggest liberal dark money spender in recent years. The nonprofit has steered $8 million in direct contributions to Schumer's Senate Majority PAC; $1.5 million to Let's Turn Colorado Blue, which backed Democratic Senate candidate John Hickenlooper in the Democratic primary against Andrew Romanoff; and $500,000 to the progressive group Swing Left, which works in toss-up elections. House Majority Forward, meanwhile, was launched in 2019 shortly after House Democrats introduced a bill that would have required the disclosure of major donors who give to 501(c)(4) nonprofits like itself. Its entire $1.6 million in direct contributions went to Pelosi's House Majority PAC, even though House Majority Forward's website says its work focuses mainly on economic, social, and environmental issues.
Both nonprofits keep their donors' identities hidden, making it difficult to know where Democratic campaign contributions are ultimately coming from. Anna Massoglia, a researcher at the Center for Responsive Politics, says this practice acts as a loophole to disclosure rules. "Dark money groups funding closely tied super PACs and other political committees that are legally required to disclose their donors keeps the identity of financiers behind the spending hidden, skirting FEC disclosure rules," Massoglia said.(Read more)

6. Schiff Touts Whistleblower Complaint From DHS Official He Previously Accused Of Lying To Congress - Daily Caller
Rep. Adam Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, is touting a whistleblower complaint from a Department of Homeland Security official who he accused just last month of potentially lying to Congress about the agency's intelligence-gathering activities.
On Wednesday, Schiff released a whistleblower complaint filed by Brian Murphy, the former acting under secretary for intelligence and analysis, who claimed that senior DHS officials and the White House pressured him to alter intelligence reports regarding Russian interference in the 2020 election as well as about Antifa's involvement in social justice protests.
Murphy claimed in his complaint that he was demoted on Aug. 1 because he questioned DHS leaders' requests that he alter intelligence reports.
Schiff said in a statement on Wednesday that Murphy's complaint "outlines grave and disturbing allegations that senior White House and Department of Homeland Security officials improperly sought to politicize, manipulate, and censor intelligence in order to benefit President Trump politically." 7. Major US city may soon allow 16-year-olds to vote, could others could follow suit? - Fox News
San Franciscans will cast their ballots in November to decide whether 16-year-olds can vote in local elections. The proposition, if passed, would make San Francisco the first major U.S. city to give 16 and 17-year-olds the right to vote in municipal elections.
Advocates of the measure say lowering the voting age would instill a lifelong habit of voting.
On its website, Vote16SF says "lowering the voting age can lead to a long-term increase in voter turnout, bringing more citizens in touch with their government and pushing the government to better serve its people."
Crystal Chan, an 18-year-old organizer for Vote 16 SF, told NBC News the measure "will help youth of color in San Francisco establish the habit of voting at an earlier age, and really provide them with the support and the resources that they need to continue building on that habit as they grow older."
Yet, skeptics of lowering the voting age say 16 and 17-year-olds are not mature enough to make rational decisions at the voting booth.
Nate Hochman, a Republican activist and senior at Colorado College, said he does not support the proposal because young people lack the experience to know "what good governance looks like" in their communities. (Read more)

8. Most US adults say religious belief is matter of personal opinion: study - Christian Post
A majority of American adults believe religious belief is a matter of personal opinion, according to new data from the 2020 biennial State of Theology survey, but fewer people are expressing that view.
The survey, commissioned by Ligonier Ministries and conducted by LifeWay Research on March 10-18, involved a sample of 3,002 participants. The results show that while 60% of U.S. adults held the view that religious belief is a matter of personal opinion in 2018, that number dropped to 54% in 2020.
"More than half of respondents to the State of Theology survey say that religious belief is not about objective reality. However, fewer people expressed this view in 2020 than in 2018. It isn't clear why this is the case, but it may be that our chaotic cultural moment has prompted more people to turn to religion for objective truth," LifeWay researchers said.
Scott McConnell, executive director of LifeWay Research explained that what the results of the survey reveal is that Americans hold a complex set of conflicting religious beliefs.
"Many Americans treat theology like a choose-your-own adventure book," he said in a recent report. "It's clear from certain beliefs that some people feel truth is something people are free to define on their own, and in doing so they possess seemingly incompatible beliefs."
The Christian Post previously highlighted from the survey how more than half of American adults, including 30% of evangelicals, say Jesus isn't God, but most agree He was a great teacher. (Read more)

9. US prepares to quit strategic Incirlik air base amid increasing Turkish belligerence - Arab News
A provocative live-fire drill by the Turkish navy off the coast of Cyprus was branded illegal on Saturday, as reports emerged that the US is drawing up plans to withdraw from the strategic Incirlik air force base.
"We don't know what's going to happen to Incirlik," Ron Johnson, the US senator who chairs the Senate Foreign Relations subcommittee for Europe, told the Washington Examiner. "We hope for the best, but we have to plan for the worst."
US withdrawal would be a blow to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, suggesting that the US no longer trusts him. "I think, from a defensive posture, we have to look at the reality of the situation that the path Erdogan is on is not good," Johnson said.
Meanwhile Turkey is conducting naval gunnery exercises from Saturday until Monday off the coast at Sadrazamkoy in northern Cyprus, a part of the island controlled by Ankara but unrecognized by the rest of the world.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Center in Cyprus, which is attached to the Defense Ministry, said the drill was illegal because it "violates the Republic of Cyprus's sovereignty and sovereign rights." (Read more)

10. Trump says he has signed new executive order to lower drug prices - Fox Business
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday he had signed a new executive order aimed at lowering drug prices in the United States by linking them to those of other nations.
"My Most Favored Nation order will ensure that our Country gets the same low price Big Pharma gives to other countries. The days of global freeriding at America's expense are over," Trump said in a Twitter post.
The Republican president in July signed an executive order that, among other things, would require Medicare to tie the prices it pays for drugs to those paid by other countries. Its implementation, however, was delayed as the administration sought to work out a solution with the industry.
It was not clear if Trump signed a new order or was referring to that document, which was also referred to as a most-favored-nation executive order.
Trump in July signed four executive orders designed to reduce drug costs for consumers in a bid to highlight his commitment to cutting prescription prices before the Nov. 3 presidential election. (Read more)

11. $100,000 reward offered in brazen ambush shooting of 2 Los Angeles sheriff's deputies - ABC
A $100,000 reward was offered Sunday in the hunt for a gunman who brazenly walked up to a parked patrol SUV and shot two Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies multiple times in what officials described as an ambush-style attack.
Both sheriff's deputies were initially "fighting for their lives" at St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles following the Saturday night shooting outside a Metro train station in Compton. On Sunday, a senior Los Angeles County sheriff's official told ABC News the deputies are expected to survive.
"That was a cowardly act," Sheriff Alex Villanueva said during a news conference on Saturday night. "The two deputies were doing their job, minding their own business, watching out for the safety of the people on the train. To see somebody just walk up and start shooting on them. It pisses me off. It dismays me at the same time. There's no pretty way to say it."
One of the wounded law enforcement officers, a 31-year-old mother of a 6-year-old boy, was shot in the jaw and arms and is listed in critical but stable condition, according to the senior sheriff's officials.
Her 24-year-old partner suffered gunshot wounds to his forehead, arms and a hand, but was alert, the official said. (Read more)

The prophecy of lawlessness
Law enforcement officers are under fire across the nation. Efforts to defund the police are taking place wherever there are Black Lives Matter and Antifa protests. Chicago continues its murderous crime wave. "Violent protests" continue in various large cities, but the problem is, they are not protests once they turn violent as the media fails to report. They are riots. Unlawful riots. Over the weekend, two Los Angeles law enforcement officers were ambushed as they sat in their police cruiser. They are in critical, but stable condition, no thanks to so-called "protesters" who were blocking the emergency room entrance and according to various reports at least one shouted, "I hope they die."
This is a true testimony to what is happening in our country. A person attempts to murder two police officers. Protesters block the entrance of the emergency room where the two officers are taken for life-saving treatment. Protesters are hoping "they die." In my opinion, those are not protesters, they are complicit in the crime. They all should be arrested and tried for the very same crime the shooter committed. But in this very incident is found the condition of our nation. A group of people have taken upon themselves to turn a nation of laws into a nation of lawlessness. Peaceful protests supporting police reform is one thing. Riots and blocking emergency services for wounded humans is reprehensible.
FOX News in LA and several others posted accounts of videos taken by various people showed the disdain for police. One eyewitness to the shootings recorded a self-video that celebrated the shooting, repeatedly saying the "N-word-s got aired out." Black Lives Matter protesters videoed their walk to the hospital to "visit" the "pigs" that got shot and were upset with the "pigs" who wouldn't let them onto the hospital grounds. The lead protester characterized the officers who were shot as "two of America's most notorious gang members" and that "we're going to go up here and just check on these two murderers right here." This is the mentality of the spirit of hate and ignorance at the center of these peoples' hearts.
The harsh rhetoric by politicians over the past four years has no doubt contributed to the boldness of those who are breaking the law. They justify their acts by hijacking movements and using any excuse to behave violently. Politicians, who should be unifying the nation, break even wider splits in the divide using the wedge of hateful rhetoric swung by the handle of an irresponsible news media. Christ said in Matthew 24:12 that in the latter days, "And because lawlessness shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." We are seeing first hand just how this prophecy can begin to play out. Right here in America. Problem is, these are all heart issues. Yes, there needs to be change, but it starts with the heart.

Violent Rioters Busted in NYC Reportedly Come from Privileged Backgrounds: Yacht Clubs, Modeling Jobs, Second Homes in Connecticut
A group of Black Lives Matter rioters recently busted for smashing windows and causing mayhem in Manhattan reportedly come from privileged backgrounds that include yacht club performances, modeling gigs, and second homes in Connecticut, the New York Post reported Wednesday.
The would-be revolutionaries had their mug shots tweeted out by the New York City Police Department this week after they were booked for rampaging through the Flatiron District and reportedly causing at least $100,000 in damage.
Their activities were part of a protest allegedly put on by groups who referred to themselves as the "New Afrikan Black Panther Party" and the "Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement."
Amazingly, several rioters had no obvious motive for demonstrating against racial injustice and police brutality.
The most notable of the bunch is Clara Kraebber, 20, the redhead daughter of a Manhattan architect and an Upper East Side child psychiatrist whose family reportedly owns a $1.8 million apartment in the city - and a second home in Connecticut.
Kraebber currently attends Rice University in Houston - which boasts a tuition of nearly $70,000 - where she is a member of the school's Young Democrats club. Her schooling may have to be postponed, however, because she faces up to four years in prison on a first-degree riot charge.
Next up is Frank Fuhrmeister, 30, a freelance art director who studied fine arts and photography at Florida State College in Jacksonville and has allegedly worked for high-profile brands such as Pepsi, Samsung and The Glenlivet.
Adi Sragovich, 20, was a skillful jazz musician before joining the cause.
"Before joining the protest, Sragovich was an accomplished musician who spent time performing in local theater groups and at the Sea Cliff Yacht Club, according to the Great Neck Record, which photographed her during a 2017 show," according to the Post report.
Claire Severine, 27, is a signed model with the We Speak agency who recently settled in New York to pursue a career in acting, the Post said.
Two others in the group, Etkar Surette, 27, and Elliot Rucka, 20, were also booked for rioting last Friday. Surette spent summers in Europe as a child and Rucka is the son of popular comic book writers Greg Rucka and Jennifer Van Meter.
One police source who spoke to the Post anonymously blasted the actions from the rioters as hypocritical. "I wonder how her rich parents feel about their daughter," the officer said, referring to Kraebber. "How would they feel if they graffitied their townhouse?" "This girl should be the poster child for white privilege, growing up on the Upper East Side and another home in Connecticut," the source added. "This is the height of hypocrisy."

Tropical Storms Teddy, Vicky form as hurricane center tracks 8 systems; 'storms everywhere'
Hurricane Sally is threatening the Gulf Coast, while Hurricane Paulette passed over Bermuda and two other storms formed
As if one hurricane targeting the Gulf Coast of the United States and another moving directly over Bermuda on Monday wasn't enough for forecasters, two tropical storms also formed within hours of each other.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami said Tropical Storm Vicky formed just a few hours after Teddy came together in the Atlantic Ocean on Monday morning.
The latest burst of activity marks only the second time in recorded history that five or more tropical cyclones have existed simultaneously in the Atlantic basin.
Eric Blake, a hurricane specialist at the NHC, said on Twitter the only year with a higher number is September 1971.
"I cry uncle. 2020 please stop! Storms everywhere," Blake tweeted.
