2. Alert level raised at Israeli embassies - Israel National News
Israel over the weekend stepped up its alert in all of its missions around the world for fear of Iranian reprisals for the assassination of Iranian nuclear program chief Muhsin Fahrizadeh.
In addition, the level of preparedness was also raised in Jewish communities around the world.
According to reports in Iran, Fahrizadeh was driving with bodyguards on the main road in Absard. State media reported a booby-trapped van in which explosives were buried hidden among the trees that exploded as Fahrizadeh's vehicle passed.
After the blast, it was further reported, a group of five or six gunmen got out of another vehicle parked on the side of the road, and opened fire at the Iranian scientist’s vehicle.

3. Nuke chief’s death said to be ‘pinnacle’ of Israeli strategy to thwart Iran bomb -Times of Israel
The assassination of Iran’s alleged nuclear weapons mastermind Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was the highpoint of a lengthy Israeli strategic plan to sabotage Iran’s nuclear program, and deprives the Islamic Republic of an irreplaceable source of knowledge, Israeli television reported Saturday.
An unnamed Western intelligence source told Channel 12 the killing of the nuclear physicist, described in the past as the “father” of Iran’s project to develop nuclear weapons, was the “pinnacle” of Israel’s long-term plans.
Channel 13 reported that Fakhrizadeh had been a target of several Israeli prime ministers as well as several recent directors of the Mossad spy agency.
Fakhrizadeh died in a bombing and shooting attack outside Tehran Friday.

There are concerns in Israel Sunday for the safety of Israelis visiting the United Arab Emirates, days after a top Iranian nuclear scientist was killed in an assassination Iran has blamed on Israel.
Israel’s National Security Council issued a travel advisory for the UAE several weeks ago, but fears mounted on Sunday, after Iran vowed to avenge the death of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, a scientist dubbed "the father of the Iranian bomb" who was killed on Friday outside of Tehran.
According to the NSC’s anti-terror division, there are serious concerns Iran could target Israeli tourists in the UAE in response to Fakhrizadeh’s assassination.

5. Israel announces ‘green passports’ for Covid-19 recoverees; Pandemic expected ‘for at least another year’ - World Israel News
The head of Israel’s national coronavirus program warned the nation Thursday that despite the expected arrival of millions of doses of vaccine, the pandemic will be with the country for at least another year.
“We are vigorously preparing to lead a nationwide vaccination campaign, at the end of which I hope we can declare that the people of Israel defeated the corona,” Prof. Nachman Ash said at a Health Ministry briefing held online. “But it will take some more time.”
“We have more difficult days ahead of us,” Ash warned. “Some people think the coronavirus is already behind us. I see things differently. It’s not going to be easy, it’s not going to be short.”
6. Netanyahu May Reinstate Restrictions if COVID Infection Continues to Rise -Jewish Press
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Sunday that Israel cannot yet breathe free and believe the country has won free of the second wave of COVID-19. In fact, the prime minister warned that if the coronavirus infection rate continues to rise, the current easing of lockdown restrictions will be halted, and those in force will be pulled back and re-tightened.
According to Israel’s Health Ministry, the contagion rate has spiked to 3.3 percent — the highest it has been in weeks — and last week, for the first time in months, there were more than 1,000 new cases of the coronavirus diagnosed every day, for three days in a row.

2. Andrew Cuomo blasts Supreme Court ruling on religious gatherings as 'irrelevant' political statement - Washington Times
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo blasted the Supreme Court’s ruling blocking his restrictions on religious gatherings as an “irrelevant” political statement. The Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled 5-4, with newly confirmed Justice Amy Coney Barrett in the majority, to temporarily block Mr. Cuomo from enforcing capacity limits at churches and synagogues in certain state-designated coronavirus hot spots.
“The decision isn’t final, in the first place,” Mr. Cuomo said Thursday. “It goes back to the second circuit appeals court so it’s not even a final legal decision.” He added that the decision is “irrelevant of any practical impact because of the zone they were talking about is moot. It expired last week.”
“The lawsuit was about the Brooklyn zone,” he continued, WABC reported. “The Brooklyn zone no longer exists as a red zone. That’s mooted, so that restriction is not in effect. That’s why the whole case was moot. That’s what was irregular about the Supreme Court taking it up because this situation presented no longer exists, because we changed that zone designation last week or the week before.”

--Righteous Father, we bind all the forces of darkness working in anyone to restrict religious gatherings for church, prayer meetings and the like. God, push back individuals, laws, rules, that would hinder people giving honor to the Lord. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

3.Alleged head of Iran’s nuclear weapons program is assassinated near Tehran - Times of Israel
The alleged head of Iran’s nuclear weapons program was assassinated Friday near the capital Tehran, according to Iranian state television and other Iranian media. State TV cited sources confirming the death of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. It said it would offer more information shortly.
The semiofficial Fars news agency, believed to be close to the country’s Revolutionary Guard, said the attack happened in Absard, a small city just east of the capital, Tehran. It said witnesses heard the sound of an explosion and then machinegun fire. The attack targeted a car that Fakhrizadeh was in, the agency said.

4. Trump ponders more pardons after Flynn - Washington Examiner
President Trump may have shunned the convention of delivering a concession speech and kept largely out of the public eye since his election defeat, but he does plan to follow one tradition of a departing president.
Aides are drawing up proposals for a string of pardons before he leaves office. One, former national security adviser Michael Flynn, was crossed off the list Wednesday after he received a full pardon from Trump.
Most of the other names being floated are members of Trump’s inner circle or are former aides caught up in Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged Russian efforts to sway the 2016 election. But there are other intriguing options, including National Security Agency whistleblower Edward Snowden and even a self-pardon for Trump himself.
Here is who could be next:

6. Biden says Trump administration outreach has been 'sincere' as transition begins - NBC News
President-elect Joe Biden said Tuesday that the Trump administration has already begun to reach out to his transition team, and he described the effort as "sincere," a day after a federal agency released a letter to formally begin the transition of power.
"Immediately, we've gotten outreach from the national security shop to just across the board," Biden said in an exclusive interview with NBC News' Lester Holt. "And they're already working out my ability to get Presidential Daily Briefs. We're already working out meeting with the Covid team in the White House and how to not only distribute but get from a vaccine being distributed to a person able to get vaccinated, so I think we're going to not be so far behind the curve as we thought we might be in the past."
He added, "And I must say the outreach has been sincere — it has not been begrudging so far, and I don't expect it to be."
--Almighty God, we pray You will bind the words and actions of this federal agency by the Blood of Jesus. Raise up an impenetrable wall to the Democrats' actions of "takeover" before the honest election count of votes has been verified and established. Protect President Trump by the Name of Jesus. In His Name we pray.
--"And unto man God said, Behold the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding." Job 28:28
7. Appeals court rules that Texas, Louisiana can cut Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood - Christian Post
In a victory for the pro-life movement, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld two states’ bans on Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood Monday. The Fifth Circuit, based in New Orleans, Louisiana, ruled en banc Monday that Texas and Louisiana can cut off Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood, concluding that federal law “does not give Medicaid patients the right to challenge a State’s determination that a particular Medicaid provider is unqualified.”
Opponents of Texas and Louisiana’s Medicaid bans argued that a “freedom-of-choice provision” in federal law prevents states from restricting which medical providers a Medicaid recipient can use.
The opinion of the Fifth Circuit frequently cited a ruling from the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals upholding an Ohio law stripping Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics of public funding. Voices on both sides of the abortion debate weighed in on Monday’s decision, which reverses earlier court rulings that blocked the states from enforcing the Medicaid bans.
“The Fifth Circuit correctly rejected Planned Parenthood’s efforts to prevent Texas from excluding them from the state’s Medicaid program,” said Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a supporter of his state’s Planned Parenthood Medicaid ban. “Undercover video plainly showed Planned Parenthood admitting to morally bankrupt and unlawful conduct, including violations of federal law by manipulating the timing and methods of abortions to obtain fetal tissue for their own research.”
--Holy Father God, we praise Your Name, Your power and Your support in banning Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood in Texas and Louisiana. We pray this ruling will sweep all across America. Save the lives of babies. We pray in Jesus' Name.
--"Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and world lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world." Titus 2:12
8. Pro-Lifers Urge Mass. GOP Gov. to Veto 'Infanticide Act': 'The Fight Is Not Over' - Christian Headlines
The Massachusetts pro-life community is urging Gov. Charlie Barker to veto newly passed legislation that expands access to late-term abortion and removes protections for babies who survive an abortion. At issue is the House- and Senate-passed state budget, which includes a controversial pro-choice amendment that expands access to abortion after 24 weeks and removes parental consent for minors ages 16 and 17 who want an abortion. The amendment also eliminates specific protections for late-term babies who survive an abortion.
Barker, a Republican, has said in the past he opposes late-term abortion.
The pro-life Massachusetts Family Institute is one of several pro-life groups urging him to veto the amendment. Massachusetts law allows governors to “line-item veto” specific parts of a bill. “Call the Governor at 617-725-4005 and tell him he must veto this bill,” Massachusetts Family Institute said in a blog. “Even if you can’t get through to a live person, please still leave a message. The fight is not over yet.” Massachusetts Family Institute calls the amendment the “Infanticide Act.”

--Almighty God, we pray that Gov. Barker will veto the Infanticide Act and continue to stand against all legislation that would vote contrary to passage of this Act. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

9. Pompeo Derides ‘Multilateralism for the Sake of Hanging Out With Your Buddies at a Cool Cocktail Party’ - CNSNews.com
Reacting to implied criticism from the diplomat nominated to be the next U.S. ambassador to the U.N., Secretary of State Mike Pompeo suggested on Tuesday that a Biden administration may embrace multilateralism for reasons of international acceptance rather than actually getting things done that are in the United States’ interests.
“I couldn’t tell exactly from her statement, but multilateralism for the sake of hanging out with your buddies at a cool cocktail party, that’s not in the best interest of the United States of America,” Pompeo told Fox News’ Bret Baier when asked about Linda Thomas-Greenfield’s comments. “We work with nations when we have common interests, and we develop coalitions that actually deliver real results and reflect the reality on the ground.”
Baier had played a clip in which Thomas-Greenfield, a veteran foreign service officer nominated by Joe Biden to serve as ambassador to the U.N., said in Wilmington, Dela. on Tuesday, “on this day I’m thinking about the American people, my fellow career diplomats and public servants around the world. I want to say to you: America is back, multilateralism is back, diplomacy is back.”
--Almighty God, we rise to the top leadership intertwined with the most discreet call of God to bind and break by the Blood of Jesus all demonic control regarding embracing multilateralism. We trust and believe God for His intervention. In Jesus' Name we pray.
--"In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God: and He did hear my voice out of His temple, and my cry did enter into His ears." II Samuel 22:7
10. Sen. Cotton: Biden’s Team of ‘Panda Huggers’ Could Undo Progress Made Against Beijing - CNSNews.com
Responding to Monday’s announcement of nominees for top national security posts in a Biden administration, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) expressed concern that those named may “roll back all of the progress made against Beijing over the past four years. As [former Defense Secretary] Bob Gates said, Joe Biden has ‘been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades,’” said Cotton, a leading critic of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Congress. “Now he’s surrounding himself with panda huggers who will only reinforce his instincts to go soft on China.”
Biden’s picks include Tony Blinken (deputy secretary of state in the Obama administration and longstanding Biden advisor) as secretary of state; Jake Sullivan (former national security advisor to Vice President Biden and deputy chief of staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton) as national security advisor; and John Kerry (former secretary of state and Democratic presidential nominee) as “special presidential envoy for climate.”
“John Kerry will jet off to Beijing in pursuit of a climate accord with the world’s biggest polluter, the Chinese Communist Party,” commented Cotton. “If Xi Jinping plays along, he’ll demand concessions. And we know what that means: more shuttered factories in the U.S., more hot air from Beijing.”

--Almighty God, we earnestly pray deliverance for America today. Save us from the impending disastrous deeds of Biden's team. Disarm the 'Panda Huggers.' We cry out for perseverance of soul for our nation. Strengthen our determination to claim Jesus as victor over all the works of darkness that war against America. We pray in Jesus' Name.

The Daily Jot

by Bill Wilson, The Daily Jot
When I was 10 years old, Mom and Dad took me out of school for a trip to all the New England states. One of the stops was Plymouth. I didn’t know it then, but they were giving me a history of my family as well as a lesson about what it means to be an American. As seen by the picture of mom and me on the Mayflower, I was very immersed in the experience. We visited the gravesite of William Bradford, governor of the Massachusetts Colony, co-writer of the Mayflower Compact, inventor of the free market system, and what I found much later, my grandfather 13 generations removed. The words translated from Latin etched on his gravestone say: “What our forefathers with so much difficulty secured, do not basely relinquish.”
Bradford was one of the brave men and women who endured such great hardship to help make this nation what it is—a beacon of religious and economic freedom blessed in covenant with God. And unto his death his gravestone warns us not to basely relinquish these liberties. The Mayflower Compact dedicates this land now called the United States of America to the advancement of the Christian faith. The Compact declares, “IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN. We, whose names are underwritten, the Loyal Subjects of our dread Sovereign Lord King James, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, &c. Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith, and the Honor of our King and Country, a Voyage to plant the first Colony in the northern Parts of Virginia;
“Do by these Presents, solemnly and mutually, in the Presence of God and one another, covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil Body Politick, for our better Ordering and Preservation, and Furtherance of the Ends aforesaid: And by Virtue hereof do enact, constitute, and frame, such just and equal Laws, Ordinances, Acts, Constitutions, and Officers, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the general Good of the Colony; unto which we promise all due Submission and Obedience.” With these words, 41 men agreed to govern in submission and obedience to God.
These courageous souls coveted with God to establish a land for the advancement of the Christian faith. And it was not just for their time on earth, but as is written on Bradford’s grave, the covenant and their sacrifices were not to be basely relinquished. Only 41 men began a nation with their signatures. This impressed me as a child, perhaps not so much with complete understanding at the time, but within my young farm boy spirit I became forever moved and awed by their words and deeds. They serve as an inspiring example to me, woven into the fabric of my spirit and later confirmed by my heritage, of overcoming great challenges because as Christ said in Matthew 19:26, “but with God all things are possible.”

About CHPP
About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners
Our Mission Statement
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God."
