"Praying for All in Authority"
Thursday, June 11, 2020
"Violence will not be heard again in your land, Nor devastation or destruction within your borders; But you will call your walls salvation, and your gates praise." (Isaiah 60:18)
As He says also in Hosea,
"I will call those who were not My people, 'My people,'
And her who was not beloved, 'beloved.'"
"And it shall be that in the place where it was said to them, 'you are not My people,'
There they shall be called sons of the living God."

Focus on Israel
1. Israel's defense establishment readies for full range of scenarios connected to sovereignty push - JNS
(June 9, 2020 / JNS) Israel's defense establishment is preparing for the full spectrum of scenarios that could result from a government decision to proceed with applying sovereignty to the Jordan Valley, and parts of Judea and Samaria, also known internationally as the West Bank.
Due to the large degree of uncertainty that surrounds the potential responses by Palestinians and the wider region to such a move, planners in the Israel Defense Forces are taking a large number of potential factors into account in their contingency planning.
The military has been examining scenarios that range from the less severe, such as sporadic violent attacks and pockets of disturbances in the West Bank, to the most severe, which could include a full-blown intifada in the West Bank and a decision by Hamas in the Gaza Strip to exploit the tensions to fire rockets into Israel, creating two active conflict zones.
2. German Foreign Minister visits Israel, makes no threats regarding annexation - World Israel News
German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas arrived in Jerusalem Wednesday for talks with his Israeli counterpart. Despite harsh warnings from some European leaders of repercussions against Israel's annexation plans, Maas limited his public comments to saying he came to learn more and did not set any "price tags."
Mass is the first European official to visit Israel during the coronavirus pandemic and met with Israel's Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi, a former IDF chief of staff but a rookie politician who has been on the job only two weeks.
The only other high-ranking diplomat to come to Jerusalem was Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who last month met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Ashkenazi described the talks as a "very good and productive meeting" in which they discussed regional issues as well Israel's intention to apply Israeli sovereignty next month to settlements in Judea and Samaria.
Senior European leaders warned Israel such a move would have serious repercussions and Maas described annexation as a violation of international law. However, the visiting German who is known for his positive comments about Israel said Germany wanted to learn more about the issue and was not making any threats.
3. Netanyahu to German Foreign Minister: Stop funding anti-Israel organizations - Israel National News
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyhu met Wednesday evening with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas in Jerusalem. The two discussed, among other things, Israel's demand that Germany cease funding anti-Israel organizations which defame the Jewish State.
Maas inquired about the Israeli government's plans in light of the Trump Administration's 'Deal of the Century' and its intentions to apply sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. He noted that this was important because Germany will soon assume the presidency of the European Union (EU) and its membership in the UN Security Council.
The prime minister stated that Israel's security interests must be maintained in any agreement, including full security control on the western side of the Jordan River.
4. Netanyahu Tells German FM Israel Must Retain West Bank Security Control in Any Future Peace Deal - Algemeiner
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told visiting German Foreign Minister Heiko Mass on Wednesday that the Jewish state must retain security control over the West Bank in any peace deal with the Palestinians.
A statement from Netanyahu's office published after the meeting in Jerusalem said the Israeli leader had "insisted that Israel's vital interests - such as the need for complete security control west of the Jordan River - be upheld in a future agreement."
It also noted that Netanyahu had said that "any realistic plan must recognize the reality of Israeli settlement on the ground and not foster the illusion of uprooting people from their homes."
The two were also said to have discussed "halting financing for NGOs that are active against Israel."
Defense Minister Benny Gantz met separately with Maas. Gantz called the Trump administration's Israeli-Palestinian peace proposal "a historic opportunity." "It must be advanced with responsible vision and maximum dialogue with the various parties in the region and as part of a wide international dialogue," Gantz stated.
5. Health officials: Grotto should resign over 'quarantine exemption' - Jerusalem Post
Senior Health Ministry officials called Wednesday for the ministry's deputy director-general Professor Itamar Grotto's resignation following a report the official gave a "quarantine exemption" to a billionaire.
Cypriot-Israeli tycoon Teddy Sagi arrived in the country last week after flying on his private jet from Cyprus, N12 reported Wednesday evening. Instead of placing himself in a two-week quarantine, the billionaire reportedly attended a party at the house of Israeli entrepreneur Yitzhak Toledano, the father of Omer Adam's partner.
According to N12, Sagi received his exemption from Grotto after his request was denied by outgoing Health Ministry director-general Moshe Bar Siman Tov. The Movement for Quality Government in Israel responded to the report, calling Grotto's behavior a "grave moral failure," adding that "public health [was] jeopardized by those meant to protect it."
Health Minister Yuli Edelstein summoned Grotto for a disciplinary hearing, vowing to "examine the issue with all disciplinary measures at his disposal," the Health Ministry's spokesperson said.

1. George Floyd's Family Asks UN To Help Disarm Police In the United States - Activist Mommy
Floyd's bereaved family has now reportedly written to the United Nations, requesting their assistance in disarming police departments in the US, according to NBC News:
"The group sent a letter on June 3 to one of the international body's working groups asking for support for the end of the provision of military equipment and military-type training for police, the teaching of deescalation techniques, independent prosecutions and autopsies for "extrajudicial" police killings, and more.
"When a group of people of any nation have been systemically deprived of their universal human right to life by its government for decades, it must appeal to the international community for its support and to the United Nations for its intervention," Floyd's family attorney Ben Crump said in a press release.
The NBC News report did not mention whether Floyd's family has received a reply from the U.N. (Read more)
- In the name of Jesus Christ we cancel these plans of the enemy to gain more control and access into the lives of American citizens and our Police Departments. Give George Floyd's family peace and comfort during this time and help them realize that United Nations is not the answer. In Jesus name amen.
- "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." (Romans 15:13)
2. Antifa Attempts to Set Up "Autonomous Zone" in Seattle - The Bongino Report
Protesters in Seattle, Washington declared a region that includes the East Precinct as the "Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone" after the Seattle Police Department and the National Guard pulled out of the region. The Precinct building appears empty, Capitol Hill Seattle Blog reported, and now the six-block region has been declared "autonomous" with signs on barricades the read: "You are now leaving the USA." This isn't a legal region or recognized by any government. It's an unofficial name given by protesters who have vowed to keep thee region peaceful.
While antifa opposes borders in every other context - they have attempted to legitimize their own territory with them. They've even managed to get their own Wikipedia page already, claiming that the new society boosts 200 citizens and a whopping 0.014 square miles of territory. (Read more)
- In the name of Jesus Christ we say no to the spirit of lawlessness. We say NO to the attempts of the enemy to set up camp and cause even more violence and destruction. We break the powers of the plans and schemes of the enemy in Jesus name!
- "Let them be confounded and consumed who are adversaries of my life; let them be covered with reproach and dishonor who seek my hurt. But I will hope continually and will praise You yet more and more." (Psalm 71:13-14)
3. Trump Admin To Provide Nearly $3 Billion To Support Homeless Americans - Sara Carter
The Trump administration is giving $2.96 billion of CARES Act funding to support homeless Americans and those at risk of becoming homeless as a result of the economic shutdown during the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced in a Tuesday press release.
"Homelessness was a major issue in some cities across our Nation long before this pandemic occurred, and unfortunately the dire living conditions of our most vulnerable Americans left many without a home to isolate in or proper medical and healthcare resources to defend themselves against this invisible enemy," HUD Secretary Ben Carson said in a statement. (Read more)
- Father God we lift up those in our country who are weak and vulnerable that they would find you and find your grace and your love. Let them be lifted up and encouraged to come out of their state of homelessness and find their true purpose in life that you wrote about them before they were even born.
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5)
4. Tennessee Dems Call for 'Abolishing All Voter ID Laws' in Response to Floyd's Death - The Tennessee Star
A recent letter issued by the Tennessee Democratic Party in response to the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis calls for "abolishing all voter ID laws."
The letter was posted on the website of the Tennessee Democratic Party on Friday.
"We must gain understanding of systemic racism and the power structures that exist in this country - the same systemic racism and power structures that continue to destroy and take the lives of unarmed innocent Black people. By learning more, we gain the understanding necessary to fight these injustices," the letter begins.
It then urges Tennesseans to protect the "fundamental rights" of citizens, which can be accomplished by "abolishing all voter ID laws." (Read more)
- In the name of Jesus we come against all attempts and deceitful schemes to steal the 2020 election by disenfranchising the American voter and breaking down our voting system. We ask that your justice would be done in the situation, Lord God.
- "Blessed are those who keep justice, And he who does righteousness at all times!"(Psalm 106:3)
5. 'Everything about this is irregular': Ex-judge tapped to review Flynn case blasts Trump DOJ - Politico
A former judge selected to advise on a path forward in the criminal case against Michael Flynn is accusing the Justice Department of exercising a "gross abuse of prosecutorial power" to protect an ally of President Donald Trump, distorting known facts and legal principles to shield Flynn from a jail sentence.
The former federal judge, John Gleeson, skewered Attorney General Bill Barr's handling of the case, describing it as an "irregular" effort that courts would "scoff" at were the subject anyone other than an ally of Trump. The 82-page excoriation featured a painstaking reconstruction of the Flynn case and accused DOJ of contradicting its own arguments and precedents to justify dropping the case against Flynn.
Gleeson is recommending that the judge overseeing the case, U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan, instead proceed to sentence the former Trump national security adviser on the false-statement charge he admitted to two-and-a-half years ago - and later rescinded. (Read more)
- Father, we come against these efforts to continue to harass an innocent man in Jesus name. We pray for General Flynn to be able to reassemble his life after this miscarriage of justice. We pray for Attorney General Barr who is using great discernment and courage to make the crooked paths straight in our justice department. And we pray that you would soften this judges heart that he would correct his unjust rulings. We pray in the Name of Jesus
- "Thus says the Lord, Keep judgment, and do justice: for My salvation is near to come, and My righteousness to be revealed." (Isaiah 56:1)
6. LA homicides up by 250 percent over last week, LAPD reports - Fox News
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said murders were up 250 percent from May 31 through June 6, and the number of gunshot victims increased by 56 percent during the same period, compared to the previous week.
In the past 24 hours, the city recorded four shootings -- one that resulted in a homicide, the department tweeted.
In April, the city said it recorded a 23 percent decrease in crime after stay-at-home orders were issued to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The LAPD did not say if June's uptick was related to the easing of coronavirus restrictions or the ongoing protests over the death of George Floyd, who died while in Minneapolis police custody last month. (Read more)
- Father God, we lift up all of these victims and their families to you that you would wrap them all in your comfort, love, and peace. We pray for leadership change in these lawless cities all across America so that law and order may be restored. In Jesus name amen.
- "So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy." (John 16:22)
7. Graham wins South Carolina Senate primary - The Hill
Sen. Lindsey Graham won South Carolina's GOP Senate primary Tuesday as he seeks a fourth term.
Graham has faced difficulties in past primaries, winning only 56 percent of the vote in 2014, though he faced no difficulty Tuesday. Graham was declared the winner of the primary by The Associated Press less than an hour after polls closed at 7 p.m. ET. He was beating three other Republicans with 81 percent of the vote with less than 1 percent of precincts reporting.
"I am deeply grateful and humbled by the trust placed in me by South Carolina Republicans, and I will not let them down," said Senator Graham in a statement. "The November election will be one of the most consequential in our history, and it will provide voters with a stark choice between the Democrats' socialist agenda or security and prosperity through free enterprise and security." (Read more)
- Father God we lift Lindsey Graham up to you now and pray that he finds you and seeks you during this term in Jesus name. Let your voice be the loudest voice he hears giving him wisdom and heavenly knowledge on the right decisions to make for his constituents and this country in Jesus name amen.
- "Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." (Matthew 26:41)
8. U.S. coronavirus cases now over 2 million: Reuters tally - Reuters
Total U.S. coronavirus cases surpassed 2 million on Wednesday, according to a Reuters tally, as health officials urge anyone who took part in massive protests for racial justice to get tested.
Nationally, new infections are rising slightly after five weeks of declines, according to a Reuters analysis. Part of the increase is due to more testing, which hit a record high on June 5 of 545,690 tests in a single day but has since fallen, according to the COVID-Tracking Project https://covidtracking.com.
Recent increases in cases are likely a result of more people moving about and resuming some business and pleasure activities as all 50 states gradually reopen. Huge nationwide protests with no social distancing after the May 25 the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police could lead to another spike in cases in coming weeks.(Read more)
- Father God we pray that the truth will continue to be revealed regarding the COVID-19 virus outbreak in America and on a global scale. We bind the efforts of the enemy to instill more fear in people in Jesus name amen.
- "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)
9. Joint Chiefs Chairman Milley says it was 'mistake' to appear with Trump in Lafayette Square - Fox News
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley on Thursday expressed regret for accompanying President Trump during a photo-op last week at Lafayette Square amid protests, calling the decision "a mistake" - in the latest sign of friction between the White House and the military over the response to racial unrest. Milley made the remarks during a remote video speech to graduates at National Defense University, advising young officers to "always maintain a keen sense of situational awareness."
. . . "As many of you saw, the result of the photograph of me at Lafayette Square last week. That sparked a national debate about the role of the military in civil society," Milley continued. "I should not have been there. My presence in that moment and in that environment created a perception of the military involved in domestic politics."
He added: "As a commissioned uniformed officer, it was a mistake that I have learned from, and I sincerely hope we all can learn from it." (Read more)
- Father God, in this hour in our nation, it seems that a spirit of confusion is ruling in the minds of men. In the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and in obedience to Your Word, we BIND the spirit of CONFUSION, and we release love, power, and a SOUND MIND over all. Amen.
- "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." (Matthew 18:18)

10. Trump Announces Next Campaign Rally for June 19 in Tulsa, Oklahoma - Breitbart
President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he would host his first rally since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
"We're going to start our rallies back up now. We've had a tremendous run at rallies," Trump told reporters on Wednesday afternoon during a meeting with conservative black leaders at the White House.
The president said he was also in the process of planning campaign rallies in Florida, Texas, and Arizona. "I don't think there's been an empty seat since we came down the escalator with the future first lady at that point," he said. "It's been an amazing thing to behold."

11. U.S. jets intercept Russian nuclear-capable bombers off Alaska, NORAD says - CBS News
U.S. fighter jets intercepted Russian bombers twice on Wednesday off the coast of Alaska, the North American Aerospace Defense Command said Wednesday. The intercepts come less than two weeks after U.S. bombers were met by Russian jets over the Black Sea. NORAD said US F-22 Raptors intercepted a Russian bomber formation early Wednesday that came within 20 nautical miles of the Alaskan coast. NORAD posted images of the incident on Twitter. The formation consisted of two TU-95 bombers, two SU-35 fighter jets and an A-50 airborne early warning and control aircraft, NORAD said. The second formation consisted of two TU-95 bombers and an A-50 and came within 32 nautical miles of Alaskan shores.
The RIA news agency, citing the Russian defense ministry. Reported that the 11-hour flight, carried out by its nuclear capable bombers, complied with international law. NORAD said the Russian warplanes remained in international airspace at all times and did not enter U.S. airspace.
The United States maintains an Air Defense Identification Zone off of Alaska which extends beyond national territory to allow for a response to possibly hostile incursions. "Flying air patrols protects the approaches to our nations and sends a clear message we continue executing our homeland defense missions with the same capability and capacity we always bring to the fight," NORAD commander General Terrence O'Shaughnessy said in a statement. (Read more)
- Thank you Father God for this swift action by United States fighter Jets. We plead the blood of Jesus over all our military personal that no harm or evil can come against them or the United States in Jesus name. Amen.

12. U.S. Sends Aircraft Carriers as China Makes Waves in the Pacific - Wall Street Journal
The U.S. deployed two aircraft carrier strike groups to the Pacific under new health procedures to guard against another coronavirus outbreak, as China's military steps up its activity in the region. The deployments of the USS Ronald Reagan and USS Nimitz boost the U.S. naval presence in an area marked by tension with China over territory.
Taiwan's defense ministry said Tuesday that several Chinese jet fighters briefly crossed into Taiwan's air defense identification zone, an area adjacent to coastlines considered sensitive for national security. Japan reported a return-trip by a Chinese aircraft carrier and its strike group of smaller military vessels through Japan's southern island string for the first time in April, and tensions have also risen in the South China Sea.
The U.S. carrier deployments come after the USS Theodore Roosevelt was forced into portin Guam in late March after several crew members tested positive for the coronavirus, raising questions about U.S. military preparedness in the Pacific. The outbreak eventually infected nearly 1,200 and killed one. (Read more)
- Father God in Jesus name we send your peace to this region in China and ask that your will be done in this particular situation. Continue to supernaturally protect the United States military and help them make wise decisions in response to China's actions. In Jesus name amen.

Remember The Titans
On my office wall is a team picture of the TC Williams 1971 Virginia State AAA Football Champions signed by most of the members of the team. They were thrust into the highly charged racial environment with forced integration of three rival schools and a hotbed of violence that erupted in Alexandria, Va., after the murder of 19-year-old black man Robin Gibson. This team overcame the racial tension, hate, police harassment, and outright racism to bond together and win a state championship after white coach Bill Yoast, one of the winningest coaches in Virginia High School history and head coach of one of the schools integrated into TC Williams, was passed over for Hermon Boone, a black assistant coach.
Boone and Yoast had to work through their own biases to lead the troubled team that was split along racial lines. At Boone's leadership, Yoast and he overcame their differences and brought the team into racial unity that was so strong that they won the state championship. In 2016, I had the honor to interview Boone, Yoast, and many of the players of that 1971 team in conjunction with a friend of mine, Billy Zagger, who spearheaded a film project telling the story of just how these men went about resolving their racial divide, and even more importantly formed bonds that lasted a lifetime. Football brought coaches and players who were unlikely to ever care for one another together for something great.
The movie, "Remember the Titans," took some license in retelling the story of these remarkable men, but showed how a diverse and unlikely group of individuals overcame deep rooted societal differences to become successful on the field, AND off the field. Coach Boone told us that he preached to his players that they may not like each other, but they would respect each other. He and Coach Yoast not only became best friends by iron sharpening iron during the season, but also demonstrated to those they were coaching that hate was not an option when excellence was the preeminent goal. It was fascinating to hear these men and their former players tell their story of learning to love one another from their own personal perspectives.
The TC Williams locker room was full of issues. The players and the coaches worked them out and came to a common ground of understanding and genuine love for those who don't look like them. America needs a locker room. It needs to be devoid of the politics that is so caustic and so viscerally divides people. We all need to take a lesson from the Titans, who inspired Alexandria to greater understanding for one another as human beings. I was very fortunate to be a part of interviewing Herman Boone, Bill Yoast, and players Julius Campbell, Petey Jones and Blue Stanton before their passing, and other members of the Titans. And I know they would be able to stand today with some extraordinary Godly wisdom for our society. As Christ said in John 13:34, "A new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another." And we should.

Going 'The Extra Mile': Amazon Delivery Driver Prays for High-Risk Baby
In the middle of a busy day, Amazon delivery driver Monica Salinas stopped to say a prayer for a baby at high risk for the coronavirus.
"There was a note and it said their baby's food was essential, and every time I see that note, it just touches my heart," Salinas said, according to The Christian Post. "I just stopped to do what my heart told me to do, to say a prayer for the baby and for the parents because that's got to be very painful for all of them to see their baby hurt and struggle. I just prayed that they can make it through another day, one day at a time"
