"Praying for All in Authority"
Monday, March 23, 2020
" . . . but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven." Now this, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain." (Hebrews 12:26,27)
"And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever." (Revelation 11:15)

1. Teva to Donate Potential COVID-19 Treatment, Hydroxychloroquine Sulfate Tablets to Hospitals Nationwide - AP News
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE and TASE: TEVA) announced today the immediate donation of more than 6 million doses of hydroxychloroquine sulfate tablets through wholesalers to hospitals across the U.S. to meet the urgent demand for the medicine as an investigational target to treat COVID-19. The company is also looking at additional ways to address the global need.
"We are committed to helping to supply as many tablets as possible as demand for this treatment accelerates at no cost," said Brendan O'Grady, Teva Executive Vice President, North America Commercial. "Immediately upon learning of the potential benefit of hyroxychloroquine, Teva began to assess supply and to urgently acquire additional ingredients to make more product while arranging for all of what we had to be distributed immediately."
2. Netanyahu Orders Police Enforced Lockdown - JOL
Prime Minister Netanyahu ordee last night that Israel be on police enforced lockdown.
"The government will approve tonight emergency regulations to limit movement. You are ordered to stay at home . . . This isn't a request, this isn't a recommendation, but an order that will be enforced," Netanyahu said.
"if anyone thinks I'm exaggerating, look at the pictures of what is happening in Spain and Italy" where "teams are piling the dead into special vehicles. That must not happen here. We have to do everything to ensure it doesn't happen," he added
3. Coronavirus Shabbat: No synagogues, no services- Ynet News
From Marrakesh to Manchester, Jewish world begins first sabbath without communal gatherings as rabbis across the globe urge cooperation with countries' guidelines and restrictions used in fight against deadly virus.
The Jewish world was embarking on an unprecedented situation on Friday: Shabbat without services, friends and family as rabbis across the globe ordered their communities' synagogues closed due to the continued spread of the coronavirus.
"These extraordinary times call upon us to take extraordinary measures," Mirvis said in a letter issued by his office. "Our Torah obligation to protect the sanctity of life transcends all other considerations," he said.
4. From north to south, Israeli communities come together during isolation - Israel National News
With a sense of isolation during these trying times, educators and community leaders are doing their part to instill a sense of togetherness even while separated.
"While we might be confined to our own homes, we can still do something to feel like we aren't all alone," said Shlomit Veber, Ohr Torah Stone's Yachad program coordinator in the northern Israeli town of Yokneam.
"Last night, we invited members of our community to 'Get Through This Together' by making signs with the slogan of unity during this challenging time and hanging them outside their home for others to see. The response has been amazing and we've been receiving photos from all around the country!"
Communities from northern Israel all the way down to Eilat have joined the call, giving children a sense of shared experiences with their friends, family and country. "This show of community, resilience and the Jewish value of 'kol Yisrael areivim ze bazeh - we are responsible for one another' is something of which to be truly proud," continued Veber.
Ohr Torah Stone's Yachad Program for Jewish Identity runs innovative programs through the Israeli Community Center network across Israel, with the goal of strengthening Israelis' connection to their heritage, empowering them to connect to their roots in warm, non-coercive environments, and ensuring that Judaism is viewed as a source of meaning, guidance and pride. Families around the globe are invited to join the project in their own communities and send photos to Ohr Torah Stone.
5. Israel's Netanyahu seeks 'mass blood tests' to weed out COVID-19, restart economy - Fox News
Israel's state broadcaster reported on Saturday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking "mass blood tests" as a way to screen Israelis for COVID-19.
It's unclear whether the blood tests would be mandatory for everyone in the country, but they would be intended to root out the disease and restore economic activity.
The news came amid an uproar surrounding Netanyahu's various efforts to address the pandemic, which has also had a profound impact on the U.S. stock market.

10. Israel Health Ministry prepares for mass hospitalizations - Israel National News
As the number of people infected with the coronavirus steadily rises in Israel, the Ministry of Health has put into effect a multistage plan to deal with mass hospitalizations, Israel Hayom reported on Sunday.
What is done depends on how many people are ill. With just under 1,000 cases reported as of Sunday morning, the first two stages have already been realized.
The first was setting up isolation units in the hospitals for 30-50 patients. The second was opening an additional quarantine department in every hospital, along with the cancellation of all elective surgeries.
Sheba Hospital in Tel Aviv also has completed building an underground hospital that has the capacity to care for up to 40 patients in critical condition who need to be on ventilators.
This is in addition to the two "Corona hotels" that have already been opened for light cases in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, and the Ashkelon soldiers' vacation village that has been turned into a military facility for soldiers who have come down with the virus. Three more hotels (not two, as was previously planned) are being prepared to house victims as well.
The third stage, which is for a situation of up to 1,400 cases, has just begun to be carried out. As a large portion of the victims are elderly, 70 beds are being added to the Shmuel Harofe Geriatric hospital in Be'er Yaakov, and 350 beds to the Geriatric Center in Rishon Lezion.
The Daily Brief
1. Nearly one billion people confined to homes globally to curb virus - Yahoo News.com
Close to one billion people worldwide were confined to their homes on Saturday as the global coronavirus death toll shot past 11,000 and US states rolled out lockdown measures already imposed across swathes of Europe. The pandemic has completely upended lives across the planet, restricting movement, shutting schools and forcing millions to work from home.
While President Donald Trump insisted the United States was "winning" the war against the virus, individual states dramatically ramped up restrictions, with New York and Illinois joining California in ordering residents to stay home.
The virus death toll surged past 11,000 worldwide, with 4,000 alone in worst-hit Italy where the daily number of fatalities has shot up relentlessly over the past week. An estimated 900 million people are now confined to their homes in 35 countries around the world -- including 600 million hemmed in by obligatory government lockdown orders -- according to an AFP tally. (Read more)
- Father in heaven, the restrictions imposed on this one billion prople globally is met with tremendous isolation that has never been experienced. We thus pray that the Lord will visit each and every person and convict their conscience of sin in their hearts which will bring repentance and turning to Jesus as Savior in each one of this one billion people. We pray in the Name of Jesus. Save them, Lord.
- "Thus speaks the Lord of hosts, saying Execute true judgment, and show mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart." (Zechariah 7:9-10)
2. Yes, Young People Are Falling Seriously Ill From Covid-19 - MSN.com
New evidence from Europe and the U.S. suggests that younger adults aren't as impervious to the novel coronavirus that's circulating worldwide as originally thought.
Despite initial data from China that showed elderly people and those with other health conditions were most vulnerable, young people - from twenty-somethings to those in their early forties - are falling seriously ill. Many require intensive care, according to reports from Italy and France. The risk is particularly dire for those with ailments that haven't yet been diagnosed.
"It may have been that the millennial generation, our largest generation, our future generation that will carry us through for the next multiple decades, here may be a disproportional number of infections among that group," Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator, said in a press conference on Wednesday, citing the reports.
In the White House press conference Wednesday, President Donald Trump implored younger people to stop reckless behavior, such as partying, going to the beach and hanging out at bars. Yet, as college campuses across the country close down and require students to leave, even the most conscientious young adults face a difficult choice. Finding their academic years abbreviated and graduation plans shattered, many are driving or flying home, where they risk exposing their parents and grandparents to Covid-19. (Read more)
- Father, we ask that You will touch each of these young people and give them sound understanding of the risks they are taking by not adhering to the precautions of not exposing themselves to possible Covid-19 germs at so called "fun spots." Grip their hearts to turn to God and call out to Him to save their souls from all the dangers surrounding them."
- "O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unseachable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!" (Romans 11:33)
3. French Peer-Reviewed Study: Our Treatment Cured 100% Of Coronavirus Patients - Daily Wire
On Wednesday, Gregory Rigano, an advisor to the Stanford University School of Medicine, claimed that a world-renowned French researcher had tested a promising cure for coronavirus. He tweeted: "Full peer-reviewed study has been released by Didier Raoult MD, PhD. After 6 days 100% of patients treated with HCQ + Azithromycin were virologically cured."
Appearing on Fox News Wednesday night, Rigano followed up by stating: And I'm here to report that as of this morning, about 5:00 this morning, a well-controlled peer-reviewed study carried out by the most eminent infectious disease specialist in the world-Didier Raoult, MD, PhD-out of the south of France, in which he enrolled 40 patients, again, a well-controlled peer review study, that showed a 100 percent cure rate against coronavirus. The study was released this morning on my Twitter account, @Riganoesq as well as our most recent website, @covidtrial.io. The study was recently accepted to the International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents by Elsevier. (Read more)
- Father God, we are so thankful that there has been a cure for this Covid-19 pandemic. We pray It is released for all the world to receive it and be cured. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

4. Vice President Pence, wife test negative for COVID-19 - Fox News
Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Second Lady Karen Pence, have both tested negative for COVID-19, his press secretary announced Saturday night. "Pleased to report that the COVID-19 test results came back negative for both Vice President @Mike_Pence and Second Lady @KarenPence," Katie Miller tweeted. Pence earlier Saturday said he will be tested for the coronavirus, after one of his staffers tested positive for the virus earlier this week.
"While the White House doctor has indicated that he has no reason to believe I was exposed and no need to be tested, given the unique position i have as vice president and as leader of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, both I and my wife will be tested for the coronavirus later this afternoon," he said at a White House press briefing. (Read more)
- Father, we praise and thank you that Mike Pence and Lady Karen Pence tested negative. Wonderful is the Lord to protect them. In the Name of Jesus.

5. FDA approves automated coronavirus test - CBS News
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted diagnostics company Roche emergency approval to start selling a high-speed coronavirus test. The green light from regulators comes amid concerns that difficulty screening large segments of the U.S. population has allowed the virus to spread.
The test, designed to run on a computerized diagnostic system developed by Roche, will be available immediately and can be run on machines already in place at more than 100 laboratories across the U.S., according to Roche, based in Basel, Switzerland. One version of the device can test more than 4,000 patients a day, while a second can perform nearly 1,500 tests, the company announced.
"Providing quality, high-volume testing capabilities will allow us to respond effectively to what the World Health Organization has characterized as a pandemic," Roche CEO Thomas Schinecker said in a statement. The test - the first to be commercially available - is is the third coronavirus diagnostic tool to get emergency clearance from the FDA. The other tests were developed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and by the New York State Department of Health. (Read more)
- Father God, we are so thankful that this high-speed test has been released and can now be available to the thousands of people waiting to be tested. Praise the Lord for unlocking this test for the public. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

6. US military says it is working to convert buildings into hospitals in three or four weeks - CNN
The US military said it is working to convert buildings into hospitals and could potentially provide 10,000 hospital beds in New York, as the coronavirus pandemic escalates.
Lt. Gen. Todd Semonite, the head of the US Army Corps of Engineers, said Friday that retrofitting hotels or dormitories into temporary hospitals to alleviate the burden on civilian hospitals caused by the virus would hopefully take three or four weeks.
"We would like to think we can do this in three or four weeks and try to go as fast as we can," Semonite told reporters at the Pentagon on Friday. He said the Army Corps of Engineers had developed a standard design and contract in order to help facilitate the process.
"This is an unbelievably complicated problem and there is no way we're going to be able to do this with a complicated option -- we need something super simple," he said, adding that they were aiming to turn empty hotels, college dormitories and other buildings into hospitals capable of providing intensive care adding that the state would be responsible for identifying the buildings and staffing them.New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo had asked for the Army Corps of Engineers to retrofit buildings into hospitals to help alleviate the burden on hospitals treating a major influx of coronavirus patients.
Asked about New York, Semonite said, "We're talking about over 10,000 (hospital beds) that we are looking at right now, we need to send that up and, in fairness to the state of New York, that is not my decision that has to go to FEMA, FEMA has to make a decision of what is that allocation and we will exercise whatever FEMA tasks us to do."
As of late Friday morning, there were more than 7,000 confirmed cases in New York state, with 35 deaths. (Read more)
- Almighty God, we trust in the merciful God to push this endeavor through and have 10,000 hospital beds available within the month, Bless our U.S. Military and Lt. Gen. Semonit. We pray the Army Corps of Engineers will be given full authority to push this through. Lord, restrict FEMA from interfering with the consummation of this project. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
- "The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble." (Psalm 9:9)
7. Gov. Newsom says he can order martial law - WND
California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom warned Wednesday he has the "ability" to "do martial" law to deal with the coronavirus outbreak.
Newsom was speaking to reporters about the mobilization of the National Guard, emphasizing it is routinely used during natural disasters and other emergencies, reported the Fox affiliate in New York City.
But he added, "We have the ability to do martial law . . . if we feel the necessity." Imposing martial law would mean replacing the usual laws with military authority and possibly suspending civil liberties such as freedom of association and movement.
Already six counties in the San Francisco Bay Area have ordered residents to remain in their homes with the exception of necessary travel.
Previously, the governor ordered bars, movie theaters, restaurants, gyms and other venues to close down. (Read more)
- Almighty God, we ask that You will send warring angels to confront and restrain Gov. Newsom from ordering martial law.. Cripple him from following through on such a threat. We pray the angels will hinder him. In the powerful Name of Jesus we pray.
- "Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till You find none." (Psalm 10:15)
8. White House says coronavirus stimulus could reach $1.4 trillion, as negotiations continue on Capitol Hill - Fox News
The White House said Saturday that the third stimulus package would reach approximately $1.4 trillion-about 30 percent of all federal spending in a typical fiscal year- as negotiations on Capitol Hill over the relief effort are ongoing amid the coronavirus outbreak rocking the nation. White House Economic Adviser Larry Kudlow said that phase three of the stimulus package would reach between $1.3 and $1.4 trillion before leverage from the Federal Reserve for loan guarantees.
Kudlow explained that those loan guarantees are capitalized in the Exchange Stabilization Fund which is owned and run by the Treasury Department. "We'll probably seek additional authorization for that," Kudlow said, without providing a concrete figure. "It's not a controversial point, but it's something that both sides agree on because it's going to help out some distressed areas . . . airplanes are one of them."
Kudlow's comments come as negotiations between Trump administration officials and Senate Republicans and Democrats resumed over the massive stimulus package. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who had anticipated working through the weekend to solidify a plan, had hoped for a deal late Friday, but lawmakers were unable to reach an agreement and talks are still in progress.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said Saturday that negotiations "went very late into the night last night and continue into the day today." Schumer added that he had a "very good, very detailed" call with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnhuchin on Saturday morning. "We are making very good progress," Schumer said. (Read more)
- Almighty God, we ask that Your wisdom will prevail over the finalization of this stimulus package. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
- "The Words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. You shall keep them, O Lord, You shall preserve them from this generation forever." (Psalm 12:6-7)
9. Supreme Court closes doors due to virus - IFA
This is not unprecedented action. This happened in October of 1918 during the Spanish flu epidemic, and in August in 1793 and 1798 during yellow fever outbreaks.
It is interesting that the Court is right now writing their opinions on June Medical Services v. Russo, the important abortion case that was argued on March 4, 2020. Let's intensify our prayers as the justices and their clerks will have more time to consider this case. Perhaps a justice or two will have the time and space to reconsider a potential wrong decision. And if so, our prayers to God for this may be powerful and effective at this time.
It's also such a good reminder that although this pandemic is unprecedented in our time, there have been other times of disease epidemics in our nation. The Spanish flu in October 1918 occurred during World War I, which didn't end until November 11, 1918. How these overlapping events must have terrified and grieved people at the time! (Read more)
- Father, the Lord is high and lifted up above all the issues facing our nation today. We pray the righteous God will prevail and stand with America and bring us through to a victorious decision on a daily basis. We lean upon the arm of our God every day. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
- "God brought us up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set our feet upon a rock, and established our goings." (Psalm 40:2)
10. Sen. Rand Paul says he has tested positive for coronavirus, remains in quarantine - Fox News
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., became the first U.S. senator to test positive for the coronavirus Sunday and will remain in quarantine, his staff announced.
The senator entered into quarantine in Kentucky and was continuing to work, while staffers in Paul's Washington, D.C., office have been working remotely for the past 10 days, Fox News has learned. A spokesman for Paul confirmed that the senator had been at the Senate gym Sunday morning before learning of his diagnosis and leaving for Kentucky; Sen. Jerry Moran of Kansas said he saw Paul at the gym and kept a safe distance.
"Senator Rand Paul has tested positive for COVID-19. He is feeling fine and is in quarantine," Paul's staff tweeted Sunday afternoon. "He is asymptomatic and was tested out of an abundance of caution due to his extensive travel and events. He was not aware of any direct contact with any infected person."
"He expects to be back in the Senate after his quarantine period ends and will continue to work for the people of Kentucky at this difficult time," a second tweet said. "Ten days ago, our D.C. office began operating remotely, hence virtually no staff has had contact with Senator Rand Paul." (Read more)
- Lord God, now that several members of Congress, both House and Senate, have been hit with this virus. we pray for Your mercy to be with each one; and for Your healing touch upon them. We ask for wisdom for the leadership in both chambers, if there might be another way to receive a vote, instead of being seated in a single, large chamber. Thank You, Lord, amen.
- "By His stripes, we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)
11. Governor of Nebraska ask church for help and for prayer - FRC
The government can't do everything. And Governor Pete Ricketts (R-Nebr.) knows it. With Nebraska's infection rates climbing, and more people hunkered down at home, the Cornhuskers decided to call in reinforcements: the church.
"We all need prayers as we work through this challenging time," Governor Ricketts tweeted. But just as importantly, he needs congregations and their families to pitch in. Nebraska can't do it alone, he agreed, so he conferenced in 500 faith leaders and let them know the state was in this together. "I wanted to let them know how we were making decisions at the state," Ricketts told me on "Washington Watch" Thursday, but also, he said, "I want[ed] to solicit help."
First on the list? Prayer. "Not only for myself," he explained, "but all of our health care workers, our first responders, all of our leaders across this nation are working to address this challenge."
In particular, Ricketts pointed out, they want to make sure the parents on the front lines of this virus battle have child care. "We're asking for the help from those faith leaders to be able to help set that up, so that our health care workers and our police and firefighters can go to work to continue to protect the public. [That's] a huge problem if they can't find places to have their kids looked after during the day." Churches, he thinks, can offer some relief. (Read more)
- Praise the Lord, for Governor Pete Ricketts who has gone to the head of all the world for help, even Almighty God who created this world and all creation. God, bless those living in the state of Nebraska, and strengthen all the people who are coming together and locking arms and moving with the direct guidance of the Living God. Bless Governor Ricketts for his heartfelt cry to the Lord for help. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
- "And as for me, You uphold me in mine integrity, and settest me before Your face forever." (Psalm 41:12)
12. Breaking! Mnuchin: $3K in cash payments for average family to cope with coronavirus - Washington Examiner
Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin said a major economic relief package would provide families an average direct cash payment of $3,000 and would give the healthcare industry a massive infusion of $110 billion to cope with the spread of the coronavirus.
Mnuchin told Fox News Sunday the relief package that is set for a procedural vote later Sunday will include enhanced unemployment insurance and $4 trillion in liquidity the federal government can use to help businesses survive a drastic economic slowdown for up to 120 days.
The measure also includes $350 billion in aid to small businesses to help them retain workers instead of closing and firing them. "Those are broad-based lending programs," Mnuchin said, referring to the liquidity, adding they can be used for small and large businesses.
"Now that we've shut down major parts of the economy . . . we can lever up to $4 trillion to help everything from small businesses to big businesses get through the next 90 to 120 days," he said. (Read more)
- Father God, we do rejoice at this good news! Help us to remember that the first fruits still belong to You, and lead us each to know where we will each invest our tithe into Your Kingdom. In Your Name, amen.
- "And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)

A Personal Message for Each One of You
A Personal Message for Each One of You . . .
From CHPP . . .
Dear Friends,
This weekend, a member of our Board of Directors, Pastor Delores Purvis, wrote a message to our own prayer team.
As I read her words, I felt that this message is meant to be shared with all of you out there, too.
I trust that Delores' words will encourage each of you, as it has me.
In His Grace,
Sara Ballenger
Hi everyone,
We first want you to know how much we love all of you and are grateful for what you are doing for the kingdom of God.
Our world has turned upside down right now in the world's view but in God's view, it is right where He wants it, turning people's hearts to the Father to seek His face. The season of the harvest is here.
Dr. Alveda King said on a call last week that God did not send this, but He is allowing it. We are to seize the moment remembering that the head crowns first in a birthing. That's where we are, in the messiest part of a new global birthing of His grace! We are in a global reset and God is in this.
Hallelujah! It's a new day across the globe.
We are now experiencing radical change across our nation. A road where we have not walked before. How will we handle these times of uncertainty?
WE WILL HANDLE IT AND FACE IT TOGETHER! We will seek God's face together! We are not alone! We have God, our families and each other. We are now "leaning on the everlasting arms."
Its a time to pause and rest. To look deeper into who we are in Him.
I saw a quote today by Richelle Goodrich that said: "Prayer is hope put to the test. And hope is faith in what is best. Faith is power to do great things. Thus, prayer is faith's enabling wings." Keep praying, We love you!!!!!
(Isaiah 40:31) "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint."
(Psalm 34:7-8) "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and he delivers them. Taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the one who takes refuge in him."
Love and blessings,
Delores

Newfound Comet ATLAS is getting really bright, really fast
For years, amateur astronomers have been waiting for a bright, naked-eye comet to pass by Earth - and finally, such an object may have arrived.
The possible celestial showpiece is known as Comet ATLAS, or C/2019 Y4. When it was discovered on Dec. 28, 2019, it was quite faint, but since then, it has been brightening so rapidly that astronomers have high hopes for the spectacle it could put on. But given the tricky nature of comets, skywatchers are also being cautious not to get their hopes up, knowing that the comet may fizzle out. . .
The comet's moniker is an acronym for Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS), a robotic astronomical survey system based in Hawaii and optimized for detecting smaller near-Earth objects a few weeks to a few days before their closest approach. But on occasion, the survey will also find a comet.
When astronomers first spotted Comet ATLAS in December, it was in Ursa Major and was an exceedingly faint object, close to 20th magnitude. That's about 398,000 times dimmer than stars that are on the threshold of naked-eye visibility. At the time, it was 273 million miles (439 million kilometers) from the sun.
. . . since its discovery, the comet has been brightening at an almost unprecedented speed. As of March 17, ATLAS was already magnitude +8.5, over 600 times brighter than forecast. As a result, great expectations are buzzing for this icy lump of cosmic detritus, with hopes it could become a stupendously bright object by the end of May.

Christ the Redeemer Statue Is Lit By International Flags in Tribute to Nations Affected by COVID-19
Brazil's Christ the Redeemer statue was turned into a light show on Wednesday night when flags of the nations affected by COVID-19 were projected upon it. Additionally, the hashtag "pray together" was projected in multiple languages on the statue.
The event was planned out by Rio's Catholic Archdiocese and during the light show, Archbishop Orani João Tempesta conducted a Mass to pray for all of the people affected by the coronavirus worldwide, CNN reports.
According to the New York Daily News, the event was able to go on despite Brazil's Chico Mendes Institute closing its national parks - which includes Tijuca Forest National Park where the Christ the Redeemer statue is located - for at least a week amid COVID-19 fears by the end of day on Tuesday.
The Christ the Redeemer statue stands at approximately 125 feet tall, seeing approximately 2 million visitors annually.
According to The Blaze, as of this writing, Brazil has at least 529 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with at least 4 deaths. (Christian Headlines) Read more.

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners
Our Mission Statement
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]

Reading the Bible Together
WELCOME TO OUR BIBLE READATHON!
"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea." (Habakkuk 2:14)
> > > Reading the Word of God over our nation, six nights per week!! ALL NIGHT LONG!
We are now reading the Word of God every night (except on Sunday mornings) from midnight to 6:00 a.m. EDT. We are reading through the whole Word, from Genesis to Revelation, and beginning again in Genesis when finished. [As of this writing, over the past three years, we have now "read through" the entire Word of God sixty-five times, nonstop. Hallelujah!]
Our numbers of readers continues to grow over time. All are welcome to join, as we use "the weapons of OUR warfare" to confront our enemy and BRING HIM DOWN through the LOVE of our Messiah and, by faith, setting captives free!
Our conference number is: 712-432-0075. The access code is: 206425#.
Please call at any time from midnight to 6:00 a.m. EST! EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN OUR "WARFARE IN THE NIGHT", USING THE WEAPON OF HIS WARFARE - THE WORD OF GOD!
"For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)
> > > A footnote: 2020 has been declared "the Year of the Bible."
Hallelujah!!
Please join us as, together, we "soak the very atmosphere of our nation" in the WORD OF GOD!
In closing, let us decree together that . . .
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalm 119:105)
AMEN!!
Reminder!
