The Warrenton Declaration on Medical Mandates, Biblical Ethics, & Authority

PREAMBLE
With the rise of COVID-19 and all of the attendant ramifications, it has been incumbent upon the church to come to terms with what it believes related to the intersecting areas of biblical ethics, authority, and medical mandates.
Unfortunately, due to a pervasive lack of theological and biblical understanding on these issues coupled with a tendency to over-attribute power and jurisdiction to the state, oftentimes churches have defaulted to almost reflexively acquiescing to whatever government health agency statements are made and the policies they put in place. The legitimacy of the sweeping powers attributed to the state is either simply presumed or reinforced with scant, or faulty biblical support. Powers are assumed to exist unless explicitly denied rather than regarded as absent unless firmly established by Scripture.
As a result, rather than leading on these issues, pastors often become little more than mouthpieces for government health agencies and are then used by these same agencies to help carry out their bidding.
The reasons given for following such policies and mandating them in the local church are not typically justified by a well-rounded and systematic understanding of the whole counsel of Scripture on authority and what it means to love one’s neighbor as oneself. Instead, the rationale given is usually disjointed, unbalanced, and confused.To that end The Warrenton Declaration on Medical Mandates, Biblical Ethics, & Authority was created in order to provide clarity on these issues moving forward, to equip local churches and their officers in providing clarity on where they stand, and to assist individuals who are being mistreated in their churches with a well-ordered summary of belief in this regard.

We thank You that You are not a God of confusion, but of order and of peace, and that this Declaration now establishes a platform whereby we may all stand in agreement, based upon the teachings of Your Word, in all matters related to the viruses in our land. We now ask that this news (of the release of this Declaration) be spread far and wide, so that all may know, and sign this vital document. We praise You, O Lord, in Your Holy Name, amen and amen.

1. COVID: 90% of patients treated with new Israeli drug discharged in 5 days - Jerusalem Post
Some 93% of 90 coronavirus serious patients treated in several Greek hospitals with a new drug developed by a team at Tel Aviv’s Sourasky Medical Center as part of the Phase II trial of the treatment were discharged in five days or fewer.
The Phase II trial confirmed the results of Phase I, which was conducted in Israel last winter and saw 29 out of 30 patients in moderate to serious condition recover within days.
“The main goal of this study was to verify that the drug is safe,” Prof. Nadir Arber said. “To this day we have not registered any significant side effect in any patient from both groups.”
The trial was conducted in Athens because Israel did not have enough relevant patients. The principal investigator was Greece’s coronavirus commissioner, Prof. Sotiris Tsiodras.

2. New Report Slams Social-Media Giants for ‘Failing to Act on Antisemitism’ - Jewish Press
A new report by the Center to Counter Digital Hate (CCDH) revealed that five major social-media companies failed to act upon 84 percent of anti-Semitic posts on their platforms, despite promising to double down on anti-Semitism.
Researchers from the non-governmental organization examined 714 racist anti-Jewish posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok that were published between May and June, reported NPR. The posts were viewed collectively 7.3 million times, and though they were flagged by the internal systems of the social-media companies, the five platforms did not act on the posts.
The report showed that the companies failed to take action on 89 percent of social-media posts that included anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks, the COVID-19 pandemic and so-called Jewish world domination. The platforms also did nothing about 80 percent of posts that mentioned Holocaust denial, and 70 percent of posts with images promoting neo-Nazism and white supremacy.
Facebook was the worse among all the companies by failing to act on 89 percent of anti-Semitic posts on its website. Meanwhile, it was discovered that TikTok has only banned 5 percent of accounts that directly target Jewish social-media users.
“The study of anti-Semitism has taught us a lot of things … if you allow it space to grow, it will metastasize. It is a phenomenally resilient cancer in our society,” CCDH CEO Imran Ahmed told NPR. (Read more)

3. Amid pandemic, Israel's newly minted emissaries reach out to Diaspora - Israel Hayom
Close to 150 young Israelis will volunteer in Jewish communities around the world as emissaries of the Jewish Agency ahead of their conscription to the Israel Defense Forces.
The recently high-school graduates get a one-year deferment in their mandatory military service so that they could take part in this program, with the goal of educating people of all ages about Israel and its culture, as well as support the Diaspora during the coronavirus pandemic.
The 18-year-olds will be lending a helping hand in youth groups, schools, and community centers in the United States, Canada, Paraguay, Mexico, South Africa, England, France, Hungary, Italy, and for the first time also in Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, and even Monaco.
"These youngsters will bring the Israeli experience to hundreds of thousands of Jewish children and teens, and foster the connection between Israeli and Diaspora Jewry," Jewish Agency Director-General Amira Ahronoviz said. (Read more)

4. After Gantz threatens attack, Iran warns Israel: ‘Don’t test us’ - Times of Israel
Iran’s Foreign Ministry warned arch-foe Israel on Thursday not to take military action against the Islamic Republic after the Jewish state threatened Tehran over a deadly tanker attack.
“In another brazen violation of Int’l law, Israeli regime now blatantly threatens Iran with military action,” ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said on Twitter.
The MT Mercer Street, managed by prominent Israeli billionaire Eyal Ofer, was attacked off Oman last week.
A British security guard and a Romanian crew member were killed in what the United States, Britain and the vessel’s operator Zodiac Maritime said appeared to be an Iranian drone strike.
“We state this clearly: ANY foolish act against Iran will be met with a DECISIVE response,” Khatizbadeh said. “Don’t test us,” he warned. (Read more)

5. WHO calls for moratorium on third COVID-19 vaccine, as Israel presses on - Jerusalem Post
The World Health Organization is calling for a moratorium on COVID-19 vaccine boosters until at least the end of September, its head Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Wednesday. The move was to enable that at least 10% of the population of every country was vaccinated, WHO Director-General Tedros said.
The call to stop COVID-19 vaccine boosters is the strongest yet from the UN agency as the gap between inoculation rates in wealthy and poor countries widens. "I understand the concern of all governments to protect their people from the Delta variant. But we cannot accept countries that have already used most of the global supply of vaccines using even more of it," Tedros added. (Read more)

1. It Looks Like People are Facing Total Medical Tyranny as Military Rolls into Major City to Enforce COVID Lockdowns – Pandemic.news
In the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been using COVID-19 as an excuse to garner more government power for well over a year. Sadly, the practice of weaponizing the virus for political gain is not exclusive to America.
According to Reuters, Australia’s largest city is set to employ restrictions even more draconian than any seen in the United States since the pandemic began.
On Thursday, Sydney experienced 239 new COVID-19 cases, which was the most in a single day throughout the pandemic. As a result, the government immediately jumped on the opportunity to grab more power. Starting Friday, high-transmission areas in Sydney will require masks outdoors for all residents, and they will be forced to stay within three miles of their homes. Government leaders went with the tried and true method of fear-mongering in order to justify this overreaching decision.
“With even tighter restrictions set to begin on Friday, New South Wales Police said it had asked for 300 military personnel to help enforce lockdown orders,” Reuters reported. “The personnel will deploy on Friday, Defence Minister Peter Dutton said, and will begin assisting police with ensuring compliance with restrictions next week.”
Not only will Sydney force incredibly restrictive rules not backed by science on their residents; they will also use military personnel to enforce them. That is nothing short of tyranny. (Read more)

3. COVID-19 Expert Dr. Peter McCullough Sued by Texas Based Health System – Lifesite news
Dr. Peter McCullough, a prominent physician and expert on COVID-19, is being sued by Texas-based health system Baylor Scott & White (BSWH) after appearing on the Stew Peters Show to warn Americans against the COVID vaccines.
Dr. McCullough is being sued for having allegedly misrepresented himself as a spokesperson for BSWH during an interview in which he expressed his expert opinion and listed his concerns on the coronavirus vaccines. The lawsuit coincides with a decision by BSWH to mandate vaccination for all their 40,000 employees.
McCullough is in fact a prominent graduate of Baylor University and worked as a Vice Chair of Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center from January 2014 until February 2021. Though he himself did not claim association with Baylor during the interview, his former title was displayed on screen during the Stew Peters show, and this resulted in the lawsuit. (Read more)

4. Attorney: 45k Deaths From Coronavirus Vaccines a “Conservative Estimate” – Lifesite News
Thomas Renz says the truth is being obscured by ‘a huge conflict of interest’ between public health agencies and pharmaceutical companies.
Ohio attorney Thomas Renz made waves last month when he announced a lawsuit alleging that there have been at least 45,000 deaths connected with the experimental COVID-19 shots currently on the market, according to sworn testimony from an expert whistleblower.
Renz told LifeSiteNews in an interview ahead of his appearance at the Truth for Health Foundation’s “Stop the Shot” townhall conference this week that 45,000 is a low-ball estimate, and his federal lawsuit seeks to prove it.
Based on a statement from the whistleblower signed under penalty of perjury, Renz has filed a motion on behalf of America’s Frontline Doctors (AFLDS) against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The lawsuit seeks to stop the HHS from continuing to authorize the COVID-19 shots for emergency use, and to prevent full Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for the drugs. (Read more)

5. Study: People Who Have Recovered From Coronavirus Retain Durable Immunity to the Disease – Pandemic News
An Emory University study published in the journal Cell Reports Medicine found that most people who have recovered from coronavirus (COVID-19) retain a broad and durable immunity to the disease, including some degree of protection against its variants.
Rafi Ahmed, the lead author of the paper, said that the findings disproved early reports during the pandemic that protective neutralizing antibodies did not last in COVID-19 patients.
“The study serves as a framework to define and predict long-lived immunity to SARS-CoV-2 after natural infection. We also saw indications in this phase that natural immunity could continue to persist,” Ahmed said. SARS-CoV-2 is the virus that causes COVID-19.
After people recover from infection with a virus, the immune system retains a memory of it. Immune cells and proteins that circulate in the body can recognize and kill the pathogen if it’s encountered again, protecting against disease and reducing illness severity. (Read more)

6. Americans are Taking on Debt as if Tomorrow Will Never Come – The Economic Collapse Blog
If you make a conscious choice to ignore all long-term consequences, managing your personal finances can be a lot of fun. For example, instead of rationally evaluating what sort of mortgage payment you can actually afford, why not take a plunge and buy a $600,000 house? You only live once, right? And instead of making your current dumpy vehicle last another year or two, why not take out a huge loan on a brand new $60,000 SUV? You know you deserve it. While you are at it, why don’t you go on another huge spending spree and max out all of your credit cards again. Paying off those credit cards will be very painful in the long run, but nobody thinks much about long-term consequences these days.
Just look at the federal government. They are 28 trillion dollars in debt and yet our politicians continue to throw money around like a bunch of drunken sailors. Of course the federal government is far from alone. State and local governments have never been so deep in debt, we are in the midst of the greatest corporate debt binge of all time, and U.S. consumers are certainly doing their part. (Read more)

7. DeSantis Hits Back at Biden, Says Virus Coming Through “Wide Open” Southern Border – The Epoch Times
Florida’s governor on Wednesday hit back at targeted messaging from the White House, telling President Joe Biden, “I’m standing in your way.”Biden and officials in his administration have repeatedly singled out Florida recently, noting that COVID-19 cases there account for a portion of the new cases across the country.
DeSantis responded at a briefing in Florida, noting that while campaigning Biden vowed to “shut down the virus.”“And what has he done? He’s imported more virus from around the world by having a wide open southern border. You have hundreds of thousands of people pouring across every month,” the Republican said.
The number of illegal border crossings has increased every month since Biden took office, hitting a 20-year high in July, according to preliminary numbers. Officials in border cities have said COVID-19-positive illegal immigrants are being released by federal officials. (Read more)

8. Texas Governor Says No to Another Lockdown, Calls it “Wrong Course” – The Epoch Times
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Wednesday insisted that there would be no more lockdowns in the Lone Star state, calling it the “wrong course” amid the pandemic, saying instead that vaccines and other safety measures are the right way to fight the outbreak.
Crediting avoiding business shutdowns during the outbreak for driving the strength of the Texas economy, Abbott acknowledged the importance of safety measures to curb the spread of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus. “Safe practices are important. That said, one thing that we learned along the way is lockdowns are wrong during the course of a pandemic,” Abbott said.
While Abbott did not go into detail about why lockdowns aren’t the way to go to combat the outbreak, some studies and experts have concluded that such measures not only didn’t protect the vulnerable, but harmed them and shifted the morbidity and mortality burden to the underprivileged. (Read more)

9. 'Something Here Is Very, Very Wrong': Capitol Riot Stunner: Third Officer Who Responded 'Commits Suicide' - LifeSite News
In an unnerving trend, a third police officer who responded to the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 has reportedly committed suicide. The latest case involves Officer Gunther Hashida, who was assigned to the Emergency Response Team within the Special Operations Division of Washington, D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department.
The MPD says Hashida “was found deceased in his residence on Thursday, July 29.” “We are grieving as a Department as our thoughts and prayers are with Officer Hashida’s family and friends,” the department said. It remained unclear how the policeman killed himself or if his response to the Capitol riot was a contributing factor to his demise.
A GoFundMe account described Hashida as a “devoted and loving husband and father,” as he left behind a wife, three children and a sister.
The fact that he’s the third officer responding to the riot who have purportedly killed themselves is raising eyebrows. “You can’t tell me that’s just a coincidence,” said President Trump supporter Lauren Witzke, who made headlines herself in June when Wells Fargo mysteriously canceled her bank account without warning and explanation.
“They are either overwhelmed with guilt or were about to release information about the federal government & intelligence agency’s involvement,” she added. “Don’t be fooled, something here is very, very wrong.” (Read more)

Vaccine Is A Hobson's Choice

The dictionary defines Hobson’s Choice as “An apparently free choice that actually offers no alternative.” That’s what the government and big business are doing to Americans yet to be vaccinated for COVID 19. The Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act—the law that governs such things as emergency use vaccines—states that a condition on emergency use drugs includes “the option to accept or refuse administration of the product.” The Food and Drug Administration fact sheet states, “It is your choice to receive” the vaccine. The National Institutes of Health quotes the Nuremberg Code on experimental drugs, saying voluntary consent is “absolutely essential.” But if your job depends on getting the vaccine, is it really a choice?
There is a fine line here. The government can’t really come out and mandate an experimental vaccine. That would be an obvious violation of Constitutional rights. But the government can coerce or collaborate with the private sector to mandate the vaccine. Surely, there will be legal challenges to these types of mandates, especially those who deny food to people by not allowing entry into a restaurant without proof of vaccination, etc. This type of bullying is actually fascism—the very thing that those who are doing the bullying are accusing of the unvaccinated. I wonder if all employees of the government or companies mandating the vaccine were to strike indefinitely how long would these mandates last? Read More

In California: Wildfires Rage out-of-control

Out-of-control wildfire destroys town of Greenville, CA
Thousands of people in California have fled their homes.
Wildfires in the West have spread so rapidly amid continuing dry, gusty conditions that a Northern California town has been destroyed.
Firefighters had made progress on containing the Dixie Fire, the largest in California, which has been burning near Feather River Canyon for weeks. But after the fire jumped containment lines earlier this week, it exploded, consuming an additional 48,000 acres on Wednesday alone.
The blaze destroyed homes and businesses in the downtown neighborhood of Greenville, about 150 miles northeast of Sacramento, as it ripped through the region.
Dramatic images show multiple structures engulfed in flames. The historic area of Greenville has been destroyed, leaving nothing but rubble behind, according to photographers who examined the ruins. (ABC News) Read more.

X Marks the Spot:
Two Total Solar Eclipses in Seven Years
In Alignment with an Ancient Native American Burial Ground, too!

It’s been said that, on average, a total solar eclipse can be seen from the same place only once every 375 years. The methodology used by whoever calculated this number is unknown and it’s debatable whether there can even be a definitive methodology for such a calculation. For instance, how many points on Earth do you use to arrive at an average number of years? But regardless of the math, there’s no denying the fact that a total solar eclipse is a relatively rare event for any given place. So, for an area to get not one, but two, total solar eclipses in just seven years is a truly remarkable occurrence!
An area spanning parts of Missouri, Illinois, and Kentucky will be the nexus of the next two total solar eclipses to occur in the U.S., on August 21, 2017, and April 8, 2024. Because the 2017 eclipse travels across the country from northwest to southeast and the 2024 eclipse makes its way through the nation from southwest to northeast, the two paths cross each other and create a zone of overlapping totality of almost 9,000 square miles, or roughly the size of New Jersey.
. . . In all, eight total solar eclipses will occur in the contiguous U.S. this century, resulting in many more path crossings. We’ll dedicate a future blog post to discussing when and where those crossings will occur. In the meantime, if you’d enjoy the unique distinction of seeing two total solar eclipses in one place, start making plans to be in southeastern Missouri, southern Illinois, or western Kentucky on August 21, 2017, and mark your calendar to do the same for April 8, 2024.

Editor's note: Friends from Israel are currently prayer walking the site of this "X." When I learned about their mission, the Lord reminded me that this geographic site is very near a HUGE, Native American burial ground, that dates back to 1050 - 1350 A.D. These are the Cahokia Mounds, considered to be the largest and most complex archaeological site north of the great pre-Columbian cities in Mexico.
Perhaps the alignment of the coming "X" in 2024 at the site of the Cahokia Mounds is mere coincidence, but nevertheless, the next eclipse does bear watching. Thank you all for watching this eclipse with us!

In 1939, there were 334,000 servicemen, not counting the Coast Guard. In 1945, there were over 16 million, including the Coast Guard. At the end of the war, over 8 million of these men and women were scattered overseas in Europe, the Pacific and Asia. Shipping them out wasn’t a particular problem but getting them home was a massive logistical headache. Army Chief of Staff General George C. Marshall had already established committees to address the issue in 1943.
When Germany fell in May 1945, the US . Navy was still busy fighting in the Pacific and couldn’t assist. The job of transporting 3 million men home fell to the Army and the Merchant Marine. 300 Victory and Liberty cargo ships were converted to troop transports for the task. During the war, 148,000 troops crossed the Atlantic west to east each month; the rush home ramped this up to 435,000 a month over 14 months.
There was enormous pressure on the operation to bring home as many men as possible by Christmas 1945. Therefore, a sub-operation, Operation Santa Claus, was dedicated to the purpose. Due to storms at sea and an overabundance of soldiers eligible for return home, however, Santa Claus could only return a fraction in time and still not quite home but at least to American soil.
All in all, though, the Christmas deadline proved untenable. The last 29 troop transports, carrying some 200,000 men from the China-India-Burma theater, arrived to America in April 1946, bringing Operation Magic Carpet to an end, though an additional 127,000 soldiers still took until September to return home and finally lay down the burden of war.

Perseid meteor shower peaks this month!
New moon bodes well for skywatchers.

Perseid meteors are already beginning to fall in a display that promises to dazzle skywatchers this month.
The Perseid meteor shower will peak on the evening of Aug. 12, just four days after the new moon on Aug. 8, so dark skies should be quite favorable for the annual display, which is one of the most dependable displays of "shooting stars." That's in stark contrast to next August, when the meteors will coincide with a full moon.
Although rates of Perseids will be highest from the early morning hours of Aug. 12 until Aug. 14, all told, the meteor shower will last about two weeks, from July 25 to Aug. 18.

On the evening of Aug. 12, the moon will set at around 10:30 p.m. local daylight time. The display should peak later that night for observers throughout the Northern Hemisphere, especially as morning twilight begins. According to the 2021 Meteor Calendar of the International Meteor Organization (IMO), the Perseids should peak for 12 hours or so, centered on the time when the sun's ecliptic longitude is 140.0° to 140.1° (equinox 2000.0), or Aug. 12 from 3 to 6 p.m. EDT (1900-2200 GMT). 'Trust What God is Doing': Caeleb Dressel Leaves Tokyo Olympics With 5 Gold Medals

American swimmer Caeleb Dressel is leaving the Tokyo Olympics with five gold medals after breaking several world records - including his own.
The 24-year-old Floridian completed the 100-meter butterfly in 49.45 seconds and broke his world record by .05, all this just two days after setting an American record in the 100-meter freestyle. He also swam in the 50-meter freestyle semifinals.
Dressel has . . . . been open about his Christian faith, which he says is the driving force for him to continuously push forward.
A large eagle tattoo covers the top of his left shoulder, which represents one of his favorite Bible verses, Isaiah 40:31, which says, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
"It's the reason I'm in the sport — not just to go fast times, but to inspire people and show them where I find my happiness with what God's given me," Dressel said after the 2015 U.S. Nationals, via the Baptist Standard.
Dressel even stopped swimming because he no longer enjoyed it. He eventually returned to the sport with more hope and confidence in the Holy Spirit. "Coming out of that, I started swimming again and really just put all my trust in God and knowing that He's going to take care of everything for me, good or bad," Dressel told the Baptist Standard in 2016. "I really learned a lot, and I really learned to see the light at the end of the tunnel and trust what God is doing, whether it be a rough point in your life or a top pinnacle in your life. You've just got to take pauses and really trust what He's doing." (Read more)
