Repent in Your Church#2---Direction for this USA Election
Dear spiritual warriors for Yeshua/ Jesus:
My article yesterday made this point: It's time--especially during this season of litigation contesting this Presidential eleciton in the USA---to repent. It's time to do so not only in our prayer closets but also in our church services. What would it look like if in your church the pastor or priest started the service, reading Psalm 51, and then confessing his own sins? Wouldn't it open up the hearts and minds of his flock to do likewise? Wouldn't there then be a wave of private or public tears of repentance, then leading to Liberty and Joy as the Lord forgives us?? The love and fellowship in the room would be remarkable! Lord, I repent for not following this repentance service more often.
Here's an outline of a service I've been honored to lead several times. Modify it as the Holy Spirit leads; use it in your own prayer closet also. Worship and then Opening prayer: Psalm 51: 1-17Scriptures: Ephesians 5: 25-27; Revelation 3: 1-22Brief sermon on the Gift of Repentance: the definition of repentance, Amplified version of Mark 1: 14-15 [includes finding your life purpose]; the call on each of us to preach repentance, even before remission of sins -Luke 24:47; a lifestyle of seeking His Purity 2 Corinthians 7:1, 1 John 3:3; repent to have the Lord heal a nation- 2 Chronicles 7:14; repent as His Bride before His soon return -Ephesians 5: 26-27Time for personal repentance: [Proverbs 6:16-19, choose any two abominations: e.g.pride, division; after each one, allow 3-4 minutes of silence for congregants to seek the Holy Spirit, possibly confess that sin; possibly repent, replace with His WordTime for national repentance: the killing of innocents; idolatry [humanism/ ourselves]; legalization of sexual perversions; failure to follow His Word especially with Israel [pick any one; allow 3-4 minutes of silence as above]Open time for sharing by those in the congregation who wish to share: what they repented of, and now their reaction.Closing worship/ prayerExtensive time for fellowship! The LORD has allowed this global pandemic and now this uncertain outcome of a major election, impacting not just the USA but all other nations, to shake up His Bride in all nations. It's time to get repent and get ready! Thank you, LORD, for this wake-up call! Thank You for showing us how close we are to godless leaders and a platform that will allow abortion up until birth, forced gender confusion to our children, cradle to grave government, and anti-Christian mandates. This is part of The Bridegroom's love for us, ACTIVELY to prepare us, His Bride:
"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish." (Ephesians 5: 25-27)
Yes, we humbly submit to You, Lord. We joyfully leave our concerns in the hands of You, the One Who changes the times and the seasons, and removes kings and raises up kings as He pleases. May Your Will be done in this election, Lord.
May we, Your Bride, be that much more purified in the process.
