Hi friends,
As America struggles to re-open utilizing CDC safeguards, we are facing state and local government restrictions that infringe on our constitutional and personal freedoms. The well-intended restrictions on businesses and schools, canceling nonessential medical procedures, the closing of churches, parks, beaches, etc. have caused unintended consequences. Unemployment is reaching the Great Depression levels. Countless businesses will not re-open. Many students have fallen behind academically. Family violence, depression, and suicide have increased.
People in every state are saying enough is enough; it is time to re-open, but re-open safely.
Thousands of churches across the nation have announced that they are re-opening on or before May 31st.1 Some have their local and state approval, many do not. President Trump just announced to the governors that it is time to re-open the churches.2
Business owners like Elon Musk, a barber in Michigan, and a hair salon owner in Texas defied the restrictions and said we are going back to work!3 Many others followed suit. Thankfully, the restrictions are beginning to lift.
As America begins to re-open, new threats to our personal and economic freedom have surfaced...
AMERICA WAKE UP! IS THE CURE WORSE THAN THE VIRUS?
We are in the grip of what may be a man-manipulated virus that has affected a global crisis. Thousands have tragically lost their lives. Many of the proposed solutions to keep us safe, threaten to suppress our constitutional rights, disrupt our lives, and destroy the economy. The cure can be worse than the virus.

Phase 4: Threat to emotions/mental health
Phase 5: Threat to our constitutional liberty and personal freedom
Let us not surrender our religious, economic, and personal freedom for security!
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Americans are not science deniers. However, there are many conflicting reports about how the virus acts. Initial projections of COVID-19 deaths were highly inflated. Now that the initial shut-down has passed, let us take what we know and believe to be the best practices, and re-open safely.
LOCAL CONTROL
People want their local government to issue standards. They do not want a one size fits all shutdown.
ECONOMIC FREEDOM
Business owners and employees want the right to re-open their businesses and return to work safely. If essential businesses can open safely, then why not all?4 Prolonged re-opening is threatening to plunge our economy into a depression.5
EDUCATION IMPACT
Parents are concerned about when and how schools will re-open. Some kids will fall behind academically. A growing number of parents are considering switching to home school or virtual school, and support having the choice of a public or private school.6
EMOTIONAL/MENTAL HEALTHA staggering increase of the number of people have suffered from fear, anxiety, depression, and even suicide. Drug and alcohol abuse have risen. Emotional abuse and violence have taken their toll on marriages and scarred the lives of children. 911 calls for domestic violence have skyrocketed.7
FREEDOM OF SPEECH
Stories surface on conservative channels and the internet of our freedom of speech being oppressed. Dissenting medical and epidemiology experts who challenged Dr. Fauci's assertions, Bill Gates' connection to the WHO and concerns over the safety of a COVID vaccine have been removed off YouTube and Facebook, all in the name of public safety.8
FREEDOM TO GATHER AND THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS
We must keep a close watch on zealous politicians who might want to use Marshall-like law to restrict our ability to gather and protest, or even to vote in person.9 Additionally, Progressive lawmakers look at every crisis as an opportunity to restrict or even ban our right to bear arms.10
PERSONAL FREEDOM
People want the right to practice personal safety guidelines; we do not want to be monitored by the government or surveilled by a Big Brother state. Some in government have suggested contact tracing, government-mandated COVID-19 vaccines, and restricted travel.11 Proof of vaccine passports before entering restaurants, schools, and traveling across state lines or boarding planes have been discussed. An RFID chip may be in the vaccine.12 Vaccines for other known coronaviruses have not been proven to be effective. Are we and our children to be guinea pigs?
We say NO to all of this! As citizens, we must demand that these oppressive restrictions will not be our new normal. We do not want to be tracked and traced by the government. These are not conspiracy theories; these ideas are being proposed by several officials in government.

God has given us liberty and freedom. It is "we the people" who grant power to the government. And it is up to us as citizens to ensure that we keep our liberty. We must be informed, pray, speak up, and act. We must also vote and share information with others.
We have joined in the fight against the invisible enemy of COVID-19. Now we must stand against policies that would destroy our economy and take our freedom and liberty.
We thank God for the bold pastors, Family Research Council, and First Amendment rights' attorneys who have made a strong appeal, threatened civil disobedience to resist unjust laws, and have refused to be relegated to nonessential services. They pushed back and demanded their (our) rights.
They went to their governors, sued their state and when denied, they went to the President and the DOJ to defend our religious freedom. Their citizen activism brought results. This is democracy in action. We the people have spoken. This is a critical component of restarting America on the right constitutional track. Let us continue to pray and use our voices to defend and even demand our liberty!
THE CASE FOR CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE
Christians are directed by Scripture to obey those in authority (Romans 13:1-5). However, we are also directed not to obey unjust laws. Acts 4:19,20, 5:29 states we must obey God rather than man. Rev 13:15 warns us that the time is coming when we must disobey the Antichrist and his government. Where would we be without the Martin Luther King, Jr. disobeying the unjust laws of segregation?

Liberty demands that we cast informed votes and pray for our elected leaders. We especially need to pray for our President who has worked hard to defend our religious freedom. Sadly, many government and media leaders are using this pandemic to undermine his presidency and to advance their political agenda.
Get ready…there will be fighting over how to restart the economy, how to re-open schools, and over constitutional liberty. This COVID-19 battle is not ending with the quarantine. Government restrictions could create permanent changes to our liberty. Be awake, aware, and engaged in defending our freedom. Speak up, share your opinions with others, vote, and pray!
