Today's Commentary
Yesterday, the Washington Times reported that "Federal appeals court rules against Trump in Pennsylvania election challenge." We quote from that article:
"A federal appeals court on Friday rejected President Trump’s lawsuit against Pennsylvania officials over widespread voter fraud in his attempt to overturn the state’s win for presumptive President-elect Joseph R. Biden.
The three-judge panel denied the president’s legal team’s request for oral arguments to present evidence of election irregularities they say denied the president a win in the Keystone State.
The 21-page opinion was written by Judge Stephanos Bibas, a Trump appointee.
'Free, fair elections are the lifeblood of our democracy,' the judge wrote. 'Charges of unfairness are serious. But calling an election unfair does not make it so. Charges require specific allegations and then proof. We have neither here.'"
The article goes on to state that: "Judges David Smith and Michael Chagares, both Bush appointees, joined the opinion.
Jenna Ellis, one of the lawyers representing the president along with Rudolph W. Giuliani, said they’ll head to the Supreme Court with their legal battle.
'The activist judicial machinery in Pennsylvania continues to cover up the allegations of massive fraud. We are very thankful to have had the opportunity to present proof and the facts to the PA state legislature. On to SCOTUS!” Ms. Ellis tweeted.'" (Read more)
Today's Prayer
Clearly, in the days ahead, we will begin to see many more examples of lower courts rejecting these lawsuits, which will pave the way for an ultimate ruling (or more than one) by the Supreme Court.
The burden of proof rests not only on these attorneys, but also and especially upon the shoulders of those IT specialists who are providing solid evidence that is the foundation of these lawsuits.
Let us pray . . .
"Father God, as these IT specialists are working nonstop on this holiday weekend alongside the attorneys who are preparing to take this case in Pennsylvania to the Supreme Court, we ask for Your grace, Your wisdom, Your favor and Your protection to rest upon each one.
We ask, too, the same prayer for many others in many other states who are also working on this same issue during this holiday weekend, in order to verify the integrity of this election.
And Lord, please too protect their own family members, as well.
We thank You that, as we ask, You do answer, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen and amen."
