TODAY'S BREAKING NEWS
Supreme Court declines to hear Trump-supported Texas case over election results in four other states
“The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution,” the Supreme Court’s order reads. “Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections. All other pending motions are dismissed as moot.”
The order does not foreclose any other pending or future election appeals at the Supreme Court, but time is running out. The states meet next week on Dec. 14 for the Electoral College exercise. And on Jan. 6 there will be a joint session of the House and Senate to count the electoral votes and certify . . . the winner.
Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas said they would have heard the case -- without granting other relief, like issuing an injunction on electoral proceedings. They added that they expressed "no view on any other issue."
Moments after the court's decision, President Trump tweeted out one of his new campaign videos questioning elections integrity.
. . .
Rudy Giuliani, an attorney for President Trump, told Fox News' "Hannity" Friday night that the president's legal team isn't done with its elections challenges.
"The people of this country are entitled to a hearing on this," he said. "They should have at least given us a hearing so that we can present our facts and not just pushed it off to the side so no one would ever get to hear these facts."

Today's Commentary
Well, we can all agree that this is not the news that we had wanted to hear this morning. In fact, it is quite the opposite. For many of us, we are grieving over this non-ruling.
Our gracious Heavenly Father wants to meet us in this place, to provide comfort and healing in our time of need. As we take a "time out" today, let us allow Him to "restore our soul" as we all re-group from this unexpected "loss." We are also comforted, knowing that our Father wants to help us -- and not condemn us -- through this process of renewal and awakening.
But there may be a deeper message in today's news . . .
Could it be that we have become accustomed to looking unto men for our hope, instead of to Yahwheh - the author and the finisher of our faith?
Have we leaned upon this election, or that election . . . upon this lawsuit or that lawsuit . . . upon this evidence of fraud or more . . . in order to be delivered from our plight?
Shall we not instead simply "rest our case" before the High Court of Heaven, and allow Him to take over, in the manner in which He sees fit to do?
In Short, have we lost our way?
Today's Prayer
Father God, today we repent that we have leaned upon our own understanding to "fix things," rather than in trusting completely upon Your Grace to bring us through. Teach us Your ways, O Lord,
We thank You for the thousands who are marching in the nation's capital today, as well as in most other capital cities in America, calling forth Your praises in Jericho formation and trusting You with the outcome.
Teach us Your ways, O Lord . . . teach us Your ways . . . we pray, amen.

A CLASSIC HYMN FOR THIS HOUR
"On Christ the solid Rock I stand"
Lyrics (in part)
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus’ name.
Refrain
On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
All other ground is sinking sand.
