If we, His people, called by His Name, Christians in this nation, will humble ourselves and pray and seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways, He will hear from heaven and forgive our sins. He will then heal our land. 2 Chronicles 7:14.
If we renounce sins and turn towards His purity He will not forsake His inheritance.
Godly roots were planted many generations ago in this nation, watered by blood, prayers, fasting and repentance. Nearly eight hundred public “Days of Humiliation” prompted the Lord decade after decade to pour out His blessings on this land.
But the nation has turned from God. The last national “Day of Humiliation, Fasting and Prayer” took place in 1918, over a hundred years ago. There have been national days of prayer but not national days of repentance. Given our personal and national sins God’s judgment is looming. The signs are all around us (Matthew 24: 7 “famines, pestilences and earthquakes…”).
But God in His mercy granted this nation a recent reprieve in the 2016 election. The reprieve has a purpose: to awaken the Body of Christ in this nation to be zealous to repent and thus revive our Godly roots and fulfill our covenant with Him.
It’s time, in the face of judgment, to seek His strategies to cause us to return to Him. Judgment, and thus repentance, begins in the house of God, with pastors and priests repenting personally to show the GIFT of repentance to bring Godly character. It’s URGENT for church leaders to experience and then spread in every community in this land the power and joy of repentance. Every community has innocent blood to be avenged through prayers of repentance.

Please pray, seek the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit, gather with one or more church leaders in your community and sign up below for a day or days of repentance. Open the door of your heart and mind to allow the Risen Christ to “dine” with you and seek His Wisdom (Revelation 3:20). Light the torch of repentance! Use His gift of repentance to overcome strongholds personally, in your community, and nationally. (Revelation 3:20-22). Light the torch of repentance, one by one, community by community!
Let this flame of repentance then also be a beacon to believers in other nations. Plans have begun to call for a day of repentance in Malawi on March 27; and Australia on October 31.
